Description

Title of the invention: Support bracket for a roller shutter tube, roller shutter box, roller shutter installation and associated assembly method

[0001] The present invention relates to a support bracket for a roller shutter tube, a roller shutter box comprising such a bracket, and a roller shutter installation comprising such a box. The invention also relates to a method of assembling such a roller shutter box.

[0002] In buildings whose exterior walls have openings for joinery such as a door or a window, these openings are generally equipped with a protective installation, for example against intrusions, with a screen such as a roller shutter, or a solar protection installation, with for example a screen such as a solar canvas, a roller shutter, a slatted blind or an adjustable sunshade, also called "BSO", or even an insect protection installation, with a mosquito net.

[0003] Generally, the protective screen is attached to a tube, which is housed in a receiving volume provided in the upper part of an opening. The receiving volume is delimited by a roller shutter assembly housing. The tube includes two end bearings, each supported by a bracket, so that the tube is pivotally mounted, relative to the housing, around a winding axis.

[0004] FR-2 773 841-A1 describes, for example, a bracket made in two sections, with a peripheral section that is pre-screwed to the rest of the housing, and a central section providing a recess for the bearing, the central section being assembled to the peripheral section during the assembly of the housing. During the assembly of the roller shutter housing, the two peripheral sections, belonging to the two brackets, must be positioned at a precise distance from each other, and then their attachment to the housing is time-consuming. Furthermore, in the event of renovation of the roller shutter installation, each peripheral section must be completely disassembled, which also requires time.

[0005] It is these problems that the invention intends to remedy in particular, by proposing a console that is easier to assemble and disassemble.

[0006] To this end, the invention relates to a support bracket for a winding tube bearing in a roller shutter installation. The bracket comprises: - a main portion, which defines a principal axis that is an axis of rotation of the tube when the bearing is supported by the bracket, - two skates, which are arranged on either side of the main axis and which include: • a high skid, which is configured to slide against an inner face of a high board of a roller shutter installation box, and • a low-profile skid, which is configured to slide against an inner face of a low shelf in the trunk,

[0007] in which: - the upper skate and the lower skate are orthogonal to a height axis, which is orthogonal to the principal axis, - the upper and lower glides are oriented in opposite directions and are configured to cooperate mechanically, particularly through complementary shapes, with the upper and lower boards, so as to limit the movements of the console relative to the chest to sliding movements parallel to a plane orthogonal to the height axis, - the console also includes a front stop, which is configured to rest against a front panel of the trunk, the front panel extending from a front edge of the upper panel to a front edge of the lower panel so as to delimit a receiving volume of the trunk, - the front stop is arranged to limit the translational movements of the console along a mounting direction, the mounting direction being orthogonal to the main axis and the height axis and oriented towards the front panel when the console is received in the trunk in a mounting position in the trunk, where jointly: • The upper skate and the lower skate each cooperate with the corresponding upper or lower board, and • The front stop rests against an inner face of the front board, - the console also includes a non-return device, which is configured to cooperate with at least one of the internal faces of the top board or the bottom board, so as to prevent the console from moving in the mounting position in a dismantling direction, oriented opposite to the mounting direction.

[0008] Thanks to the invention, the bracket is mounted to the roller shutter box by inserting the bracket into the box, sliding it against the top and bottom boards until it reaches its front stop in the mounting position. The anti-return device then prevents the bracket from being removed. Mounting is thus simple, preferably by hand and without tools. Removal is also simple, by disengaging the anti-return device, and the bracket is then extracted from the box by a dismantling movement, during which the console slides against the upper and lower boards.

[0009] According to advantageous but not mandatory aspects of the invention, such a console may incorporate one or more of the following features taken individually or in any technically permissible combination: - The anti-return device is an elastic clip, which is associated with one of the internal faces chosen from the internal face of the upper board and the internal face of the lower board, the anti-return device being configured to cooperate with a recess made in the associated internal face. - The anti-return device includes a support portion, which is designed to elastically deform the anti-return device into a release configuration, in which the anti-return device no longer prevents the console from moving relative to the trunk in the direction of disassembly. - The console provides a gripping portion, which is intended to move the console in translation in the mounting position according to the dismantling direction. - The console includes at least one drilling guide, each drilling guide being intended for fixing the console in the mounting position to one of the top, bottom or front boards, by means of a fixing device such as a screw. - The console is made from a single piece.

[0010] The invention also relates to a housing for a roller shutter installation, the housing being configured to receive a winding tube for a protective screen. The housing comprises: - several boards, which include: • a front board, which is designed to be placed against a wall, • a high board, which extends orthogonally to the front board, • a lower board, which extends opposite the upper board and which delimits, with the lower board, a slot for the protective screen,

[0011] the front, upper and lower boards being assembled to each other in such a way as to delimit the receiving volume of the winding tube, - two brackets, each bracket being configured to support a bearing of the winding tube, at least one of the brackets being as defined previously.

[0012] Advantageously: - the box also includes two end caps, each end cap being attached to a respective end of the box so as to close, at least partially, the corresponding end of the box, each end cap having a face internal, which is oriented towards the inside of the trunk, while each console includes a side face, which is orthogonal to the main axis and which is configured to slide against the internal face of the end cap located opposite when the console is moved along the mounting direction.

[0013] The invention also relates to a roller shutter installation, the installation comprising the box as defined above, the box being fixed to a wall, above an opening made in the wall.

[0014] According to another aspect, the invention relates to a method of assembling a chest as defined above, the assembly method comprising: - assemble the top board, the bottom board and the front board together in order to define the reception area, - Insert the console into the receiving area, with the front stop facing the inner face of the front panel, the upper pad facing the inner face of the upper panel, and the lower pad facing the inner face of the lower panel. - Bring the console closer to the front panel according to the assembly direction, so that the front stop rests against the inner face of the front panel. - allow the anti-return device to cooperate with at least one of the internal faces of the upper or lower board, so as to prevent the dismantling of the console.

[0015] This method induces the same advantages as those mentioned above with regard to the console of the invention.

[0016] The invention will be better understood, and other advantages thereof will become more apparent in the light of the following description of an embodiment of a bracket, a roller shutter box, a roller shutter installation and an assembly method, in accordance with its principle, given solely by way of example and with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:

[0019] - [Fig.3] [Fig.3] represents, on two insets a) and b), a perspective view of a console of the installation of [Fig.1], the console being observed from two different viewpoints;

[0020] - [Fig.4] [Fig.4] shows, on two inserts a) and b), assembly steps of the chest of the [Fig. 1], and

[0021] - [Fig.5] [Fig.5] shows, on two insets a) and b), details of the console of the [Fig.1] and the installation of the [Fig.1], some parts being hidden.

[0022] A protective installation 10 according to the invention is schematically represented in [Fig. 1]. The installation 10 is here an intrusion protection installation, which includes a roller shutter. The protective installation 10 is therefore a roller shutter installation. The installation 10 is fixed to a wall 12, assumed to be flat and vertical, in which an opening 14 is provided that passes through the wall 12. The opening 14 is covered by a protective screen 24, which belongs to the protective installation 10. The protective screen 24 is here a roller shutter curtain. According to non-limiting alternatives, the screen 24 is a solar shade, or even a mosquito net, etc.

[0023] The installation 10 comprises a box 20, which is shown here fixed to the wall 12, above the opening 14. The box 20 has an elongated, generally parallelepiped shape and extends lengthwise along a principal axis A20. The principal axis A20 is assumed to be horizontal. The description is given with respect to the orientation of the components of the installation 10 as shown in the drawings, the installation 10 being in a typical operating configuration, although this may not be the case in reality. The installation 10 has a generally symmetrical structure with respect to a transverse plane T20 of the installation, the transverse plane T20 being orthogonal to the principal axis A20.

[0024] The housing 20 provides a receiving volume V20 for other parts of the installation 10, as described below. The housing 20 is formed by an assembly of several boards, which delimit the receiving volume V20 from the winding tube 22. The boards are advantageously manufactured by extrusion and are, for example, made of PVC. The receiving volume V20 has a substantially cylindrical shape extending along the main axis A20. The receiving volume V20 opens from the housing 20 through two openings at opposite ends, which are aligned along the main axis A20.

[0025] The boards include: - a front board 202, which is intended to be placed opposite the wall 12. The front board 202 extends along a main plane, which is parallel to the wall 12 when the installation 10 is in use configuration. - a high board 204, which extends orthogonally to the front board 202, - a lower board 206, which extends opposite the upper board 204 and which delimits, with the front board 202, a slot F20 for the passage of the protective screen 24.

[0026] The front board 202 extends from a front edge of the upper board 204 to a front edge of the lower board 206, so as to delimit the receiving volume V20. The boards also include a rear board 208, which extends opposite the front board 202. The rear board 208, which is shown schematically here in dotted lines in [Fig.2], extends from a rear edge of the upper board 204 to a rear edge of the lower board 206.

[0027] The front panel 202 has an internal face 202A, which is oriented towards the internal volume V20. Similarly, the upper panel 204 has an internal face 204A, which is oriented towards the internal volume V20, while the lower panel 206 has an internal face 206A, which is oriented towards the internal volume V20. The internal face 204A of the upper panel 204 extends globally along a first plane P204, which is a plane orthogonal to a height axis H20 of the trunk 20. In normal operating configuration, the height axis H20 is vertical, i.e., orthogonal to the principal axis A20. The internal face 206A of the lower panel 206 extends globally along a second plane P206, which is parallel to the first plane P204. In other words, the second plane P206 is orthogonal to the height axis H20.

[0028] The installation 10 comprises a tube 22, which is here a winding tube for the screen 24, and two brackets 100, which are fixed to the wall 12 and configured to support the tube 22. The two brackets 100 are arranged symmetrically with respect to the transverse plane T20 of the installation 10, the two brackets 100 having an overall symmetrical structure with respect to each other. What is true for one of the two brackets 100 is transposable to the other bracket 100. Each bracket 100 is received in the receiving volume V20, near a respective end opening of the box 20.

[0029] The tube 22 comprises two opposite ends, each equipped with an end bearing 23. Each end bearing 23 is supported by a respective bracket 100, so that the tube 22 is pivotally mounted relative to the brackets 100, about the main axis A20. The two brackets 100 assembled to the tube 22 together form a mounting subassembly 40 of the installation 10.

[0030] An upper end 25A of the screen 24 is attached to the tube 22, here by means of two latches 26 belonging to the installation 10. It is understood that depending on the direction of rotation of the tube 22 around the main axis A20, the screen 24 winds around the tube 22, or unwinds, the rest of the screen 24 passing through the slot F20, a lower end 25B of the screen 24 rising or falling in front of the opening 14. By extension, the main axis A20 is also an axis of rotation of the tube 22, that is to say here a winding axis of the installation 10.

[0031] The installation 10 also includes two tulip-shaped guides 28, which are advantageously clipped onto the boards and are configured to guide the screen 24 through the slot F20. For this purpose, each tulip-shaped guide 28 has a guide portion 29A, which is flared upwards and serves to guide the edges of the screen 24. In the illustrated example, Each tulip 28 is clipped both onto a front edge of the lower board 206, and onto a lower edge of the front board 202, the front edge of the lower board 206 and the lower edge of the front board 202 delimiting the slot F20 along the main axis A20.

[0032] The installation 10 advantageously comprises two guides, which serve to guide the screen 24, particularly during the raising or lowering movements of the lower end 25B of the screen 24 in front of the opening 14. The guides are not shown. The guides are situated opposite each other, symmetrically with respect to the transverse plane T20, each guide extending vertically along a respective side of the opening 14. Each tulip 28 is advantageously secured to an upper end of a respective guide. Each tulip 28 comprises for this purpose a tapered portion 29B, which is provided to be inserted into a complementary cavity in the guide.

[0033] The rotation of the tube 22 is controlled by a user by means of a drive device. The drive device is not shown. Depending on the configuration, the drive device is either manual, for example with a crank and a gear system or with a belt drive, or motorized, with an electric motor. In the case of a motorized drive device, part of the motor is generally housed within the tube 22, while a pivoting head of the motor protrudes from the tube 22 and forms one of the bearings 23 of the tube 22.

[0034] The box 20 advantageously comprises two end caps 30, each end cap 30 being attached to a respective end opening of the box 20 so as to at least partially close the corresponding end opening of the box 20. The end caps 30 serve, in particular, to conceal the interior of the box 20 and have an aesthetic function, help to reduce air infiltration, etc. Only one end cap 30 is shown in [Fig. 1], on the right of the installation 30. What is valid for the end cap 30 shown is applicable to the other end cap. The two end caps 30 are arranged symmetrically on either side of the transverse plane T20. Preferably, the two end caps 30 are symmetrical to each other.

[0035] Each end piece 30 includes an inner face 32, which is oriented towards the inside of the box 20, in other words oriented towards the receiving volume V20 of the box 20. The inner face 32 extends globally along a plane, which is orthogonal to the main axis A20 when the end piece 30 in question is assembled to the rest of the box 20.

[0036] The console 100 shown in Figures 2 and following is now described. The console 100 is advantageously made in one piece. The console 100 is made of a synthetic polymer material, preferably polyamide reinforced with 30% glass fibers. The console 100 is advantageously manufactured by hot injection molding.

[0037] The console 100 includes a main portion 102, which provides a recess 104 for receiving the associated bearing 23. When the bearing 23 is received in the recess The footprint 104 defines the orientation of the bearing 23, that is, the axis of rotation of the tube 22. In the operating configuration of the installation 10, the axis of rotation of the tube 22 is aligned with the main axis A20. By extension, the footprint 104 defines the winding axis of the installation 10. In the illustrated example, each bearing 23 comprises a star-shaped component, with the associated footprint 104 having a complementary, also generally star-shaped, form. The shape of the footprint 104 and the associated bearing 23 is not limited. The bracket 100 is, of course, suitable for receiving any type of component with a shape compatible with the footprint 104, including an adapter piece, as described in published patent FR-3 118 479-A1.

[0038] Each console 100 comprises a side face 106, which is orthogonal to the main axis A20 and oriented towards the inner face 32 of the end piece 30 when the installation 10 is in its operating configuration. The side face 106 is here a face of the main portion 102. The side face 106 of the console 100 is configured to slide against the inner face 32 of the corresponding end piece 30, particularly during the mounting of the console 100 to the rest of the trunk 20, as described below.

[0039] The console 100 also includes two pads 110, which are arranged on either side of the footprint 104, that is, arranged on either side of the main axis A20. The two pads 110 include: - a high 110H skate, which is configured to slide against the inner face 204A of the high 204 board, and - a low 110B skate, which is configured to slide against the inner face 206A of the low 206 board.

[0040] In the operating configuration, the upper skid 110H and the lower skid 110B are orthogonal to the height axis H20. The upper skid 110H and the lower skid 110B are oriented in opposite directions and are configured to cooperate mechanically, in particular by complementary shapes, with the upper boards 204 and lower boards 206, so as to prevent translational movements of the console 100 relative to the rest of the box 20 along the height axis H20, and to prevent rotational movements of the console 100 relative to the rest of the box 20 around axes of rotation orthogonal to the height axis H20, when the console 100 is received, at least partially, in the receiving volume V20.In other words, the upper 110H and lower 110B glides are configured to cooperate with the upper 204 and lower 206 boards in such a way as to limit the movements of the console relative to the upper 204 and lower 206 boards to sliding movements parallel to a plane orthogonal to the height axis H20.

[0041] A mounting direction DI00 of the console 100 is defined as a direction orthogonal to the height axis H20 and oriented towards the inner face 202A of the Front panel 202. The mounting direction D100 is represented by an arrow in the figures. In the operating configuration, the mounting direction D100 is horizontal. A mounting movement is a translational movement along the mounting direction D100. A dismounting direction is also defined, which is a direction oriented opposite to the mounting direction D100. A dismounting movement is a translational movement along the dismounting direction.

[0042] The console 10 also includes a front stop 110A, which is located opposite the front board 202 in the configuration of use of the installation 10. The front stop 110A is configured to bear against the inner face 202A of the front board 202. The front stop 110A is arranged so as to limit the translational movements of the console 100 relative to the rest of the trunk 20 along the mounting direction D100.

[0043] In the operating configuration of the installation 10, the console 100 is in a so-called "mounting" position when, together, the upper skid 110H and the lower skid 110B each cooperate with the corresponding upper board 204 or lower board 206, and the front stop 110A is in contact - within assembly clearances - against the front board 202.

[0044] The console 100 also includes a non-return device 120, which is configured to cooperate with at least one of the internal faces 204A or 206B of the upper board 204 or the lower board 206, so as to prevent the console 100 from moving in the mounting position in the direction of dismantling, in other words so as to prevent the dismantling of the console 100.

[0045] Preferably, the non-return member 120 is configured to cooperate with the upper board 204. In the illustrated example, the non-return member 120 is an elastic clip, which is configured here to cooperate with a recess 205 formed in the inner face 204A of the upper board 204. In a variant not illustrated, the non-return member 120 is intended to cooperate with a recess formed in the lower board 202. More generally, the non-return member 120 is associated with one of the inner faces chosen from the inner face 204A of the upper board 204 and the inner face 206A of the lower board 206, the non-return member 120 being configured to cooperate with a recess 205 formed in the associated inner face.

[0046] Advantageously, the non-return member 120 is elastically deformable between a release configuration, in which the non-return member 120 does not prevent movement of the bracket 100 relative to the boards in the disassembly direction when the bracket 100 is initially in the assembly position, and a locking position, in which the non-return member 120 prevents movement of the bracket 100 relative to the boards in the disassembly direction when the bracket 100 is initially in the mounting position. By elastic return, the anti-return element 120 tends to return to the locking position.

[0047] The non-return member 120 advantageously includes a support portion 122, which is designed to allow a user to elastically deform the elastic clip 120 from the locked position to the released position. Once the user releases the support portion 122, the non-return member 120 tends to return, by elastic recoil, to the locked position.

[0048] The console 100 advantageously provides a gripping portion 130, which is designed to move the console 100 translationally into the mounting position in the disassembly direction. The gripping portion 130 is formed here by two notches, which are designed so that a user can grasp the console 100 with one hand, for example between the thumb and forefinger of the same hand, and then pull on the console 100 so as to extract the console 100 from the receiving volume V20, in the disassembly direction.

[0049] More generally, the non-return member 122 and the gripping portion 130 are configured to be jointly operated by a user: with one hand, the user grasps the console 100 by the gripping portion 130, while with the other hand, the user presses on the support portion 122, moving the non-return member 120 into the release position. While maintaining pressure on the support portion 122, the user can then move the console 100 in the disassembly direction by pulling on the gripping portion 130. The console 100 can thus be disassembled manually, without tools. For this purpose, the non-return member 122 is advantageously located on the rear side of the console 100, that is, on the side opposite the front stop 110A.

[0050] The console 100 allows for a particularly simple and quick method of assembling the trunk 20. The assembly method comprises a first step, during which the upper shelf 204, the lower shelf 206, and the front shelf 202 are joined together to define the reception area V20. In other words, the rear shelf 208 is omitted, allowing access to the reception area V20.

[0051] Next, the user presents the console 100 in front of the trunk 20, the front stop 110A being oriented towards the receiving volume V20, in other words towards the internal face 202A of the front board 202.

[0052] Next, the assembly method includes a step of inserting the console 100 into the receiving volume V20, with the front stop 110A oriented towards the front board 202, the upper slide 110H facing the inner face 204A of the upper board 204, and the lower slide 110B facing the inner face 206A of the lower board 206. During the insertion step, the user brings the console closer 100 of the front board 202 according to the mounting direction D100. During this insertion movement, the anti-return element 120, here the elastic clip, deforms elastically and moves from the blocking position to the release position, to accommodate the insertion movement of the console 100 between the upper board 204 and lower board 206.

[0053] The insertion movement continues until the front stop 110A comes to rest against the front board 202. The elastic clip 120 is then aligned with the recess 205 and returns, by elastic recoil, to the locking position. Disassembly of the console is then prevented, as illustrated in [Fig. 4]#b). In other words, the user allows the anti-return element 122 to cooperate with at least one of the inner faces 204A or 206A of the upper board 204 or the lower board 206, so as to prevent movement of the console 100 in the mounting position in the disassembly direction.

[0054] Preferably, throughout the assembly movement, the side face 106 of the console 100 slides against the inner face 32 of the end piece 30, the end piece 30 being previously assembled to the boards of the box 20. This limits the risks of the console 100 being incorrectly positioned once the non-return device 120 is in the locking position.

[0055] It is understood that the assembly method described above can be implemented either for each console 100, independently of each other, or for the mounting sub-assembly 40, when the two consoles 100 are previously assembled to the tube 22.

[0056] Once the console 100 is in the mounting position, it is advantageously secured in the compartment 20. In advantageous examples, the console includes at least one drill guide 140, which is provided for attaching the console 100 in the mounting position to one of the boards, namely the upper board 204, the lower board 206, or the front board 206, by means of a fastener 141. In the illustrated example, the console 100 includes one of the drill guide 140, which allows the fastener 141 to be inserted through the lower skid 110B, as shown in [Fig. 5]#b). The fastener 141 is preferably reversible. The fastener 141 is in this case a screw, preferably a self-drilling screw.

[0057] In the illustrated example, the console 100 is made from a single piece, the imprint 114 being made in the main portion 102.

[0058] In an alternative not shown, the console is formed of several parts, which are assembled together to form the console. For example, the main portion is hollowed out and designed to receive a removable central portion, in which the bearing housing is recessed. The central portion is assembled to the main section to form the console. The upper and lower pads, the front stop, and the anti-return device are located around the periphery of the main section. The upper and lower pads are positioned on either side of the footprint when the console is assembled. Depending on the configuration, the main section is assembled to the rest of the trunk either before or after the central section is assembled to the main section. It is understood that the main axis A20 is defined by the main section, whether the console is made of a single piece or several pieces.

[0059] The embodiments and variants mentioned above can be combined with each other to generate new embodiments of the invention.
