Abstract

Method for determining a color and kinetic assessment tool for cosmetic products. A method for determining an assessment tool for a given population, the given population being characterized by a distribution of skin colors, the method comprising: - determining a group of skin colors from among a set of skin color groups in a colorimetric space, said skin color group being representative of the skin color distribution of the given population and each skin color group defining a range of skin colors in the colorimetric space, the range of skin colors of each skin color group being distinct from the other group(s) of skin colors, - constructing a panel of individuals whose skin colors are representative of the determined skin color groups.- the determination of a protocol for applying cosmetic products to the panel of individuals, the panel of individuals and the protocol forming the evaluation tool, the evaluation tool being used at different times.

Claims

6. A method according to claim 5, wherein the measures are suitable for capturing the evolution of at least one parameter enabling the evaluation of the effect of the cosmetic product of the set on the panel of individuals and for comparing the effect of the cosmetic products of the set.

7. A method according to claim 6, wherein at least one parameter is chosen from: skin color, shine and hydration.

8. A method according to any one of claims 5 to 7, wherein the protocol stipulates that each measurement after the application of a cosmetic product is taken at the end of a predetermined time after the application of a cosmetic product from the set to an application area.

9. A method according to any one of claims 2 to 8, wherein the cosmetic products of the set are applied at the same dosage to the application areas of the individuals in the panel.

10. A method for evaluating the effect of a cosmetic product on a given population, the given population being characterized by a distribution of skin colors, the evaluation being carried out using an evaluation tool specific to the given population, the evaluation tool having been determined according to the method for determining any one of claims 1 to 9, the method comprising: a. applying the cosmetic product to be evaluated on the panel of individuals in accordance with the protocol, and b. evaluating the cosmetic product applied in accordance with the protocol.
