Abstract
The invention relates to a homomorphic biometric authentication method (100) designed to be implemented by a system (1) comprising an electronic service entity (20) arranged to provide access to a service (S) and an electronic device (10) associated with an individual (2) wishing to access said service (S). Such a method (100) includes a biometric authentication step (120) of the individual (2) consisting of a homomorphic comparison step (122) of candidate biometric data (CCD) and reference biometric data (CRD) previously encrypted according to a homomorphic encryption scheme (HCS). This comparison therefore does not, as such, exploit the plaintext of the reference and candidate biometric data. This comparison step can be delegated to a trusted electronic entity (30). Authorization to access the service (S) is a function of this homomorphic comparison. Figure to be published with the abbreviation: Fig 4
