Image registration process for the inspection of industrial parts

Abstract

This method for registering a primary image and a secondary image, respectively acquired by a primary and a secondary imaging system, comprises the following steps: - Acquisition (step E1) of a primary image of an object to be observed; - Determination (step E2) of a region of interest centered on a point of interest in the primary image; - Acquisition (step E3) of a secondary image of the region of interest centered on the point of interest; - Calculation (step E4) of a registration homography from a set of homography matrices previously obtained offline; and - Registration (step E5) of the secondary image with the primary image by applying the calculated registration homography.
