Methods and apparatuses of supporting continuity of MRB

Abstract

The present application relates to methods and apparatuses of supporting continuity of a multicast radio bearer (MRB). One embodiment of the present disclosure provides a user equipment (UE) which includes: a transceiver; and a processor coupled with the transceiver and configured to: receive, via the transceiver, information associated with packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) of an MRB via a radio resource control (RRC) dedicated signaling, wherein the PDCP includes one or more PDCP variables; transition to an RRC non-connected state; and determine, based on the information associated with the PDCP of the MRB, whether to use the one or more PDCP variables for continuity of the MRB while the UE is in the RRC non-connected state.
