Abstract

A network node 202 is in a wireless communications service provider network 2000 and is communicatively couplable to a device 100 comprising a SIM issued by a wireless communications service provider. An authenticated connection is established between the wireless communications service provider network and the device 100 via a first radio resource of a plurality of radio resources allocated to the wireless communications service provider. A received signal strength RSS associated with the first radio resource is at least as strong, at the device 100, as an RSS associated with any other radio resource in the plurality of radio resources. A latency test is performed in respect of the authenticated connection. In response to the latency test indicating an acceptable latency of the authenticated connection, the authenticated connection in maintained. In response to the latency test indicating an unacceptable latency of the authenticated connection, the authenticated connection ceases to be used. Figure 20
