Abstract
This prototype is a miniature pump house that makes it easier for related parties such as the Water Resources and Highways Agency (DSSABM) to conduct analysis and development if problems arise in the future. The IoT-based water pump and sluice gate control prototype is also useful for improving the efficiency and reliability of the water management system. This prototype is expected to be a transition solution from a conventional manual system to intelligent management that supports the smart city concept, with a focus on flood prevention through automation and remote access. Testing was carried out using a volumetric method for pump discharge, field condition simulation, and evaluation of system latency and response in online and offline modes. The test results showed that the prototype operated with 100% reliability in both modes. In single-pump mode, the discharge reached 0.22 L / second with a 24-liter control tank draining time of 110 seconds.When two pumps are activated, the flow rate increases to 0.30 L / s with a drain time of 79 seconds, increasing the drain efficiency by 36%. Camera monitoring latency averages 300–444 ms, while IoT control command delay via the app is in the range of 1–2 seconds, meeting the real-time requirements for flood prevention applications. Automatic response to rising water levels occurs within 2–3 seconds, with offline mode remaining fully functional for emergencies without an internet connection.
