Abstract

The article according to the present design (hereinafter referred to as "this article") is a rice huller comprising a container for putting rice inside through an opening opening upward and a lid for closing the opening of this container. The container of this article has an opening with a substantially elliptical shape that slightly decreases in diameter as it approaches the hemispherical bottom, and has legs that enable the bottom to be grounded against a flat surface. The lid of this article is provided with an injection port for injecting tap water in one side region on one side in the major axis direction, while the other side region on the other side in the major axis direction is curved in a spherical shape such that the center near the boundary with the one side region is the highest. The other side region of the lid of this article is connected to the flat one side region by a gentle slope near the boundary with the one side region. Also, in the one side region including the injection port and the slope of the lid of this article, a number of slits are provided that enable the discharge of water while preventing the discharge of rice. Further, on the container of this article, a handle is provided on the peripheral wall away from the center toward the other side in the radial direction, and this handle has five recesses corresponding to five fingers respectively so that this article can be firmly grasped with one hand. And inside the bottom of the container of this article, a pair of rib pieces projecting substantially parallel along the bottom while extending between the one side end position and the other side end position are provided, and the tap water injected from the injection port is sandwiched from both sides to actively guide it from one side in the radial direction of the bottom to the other side in the radial direction to generate a water flow.
