Abstract

This image is used as a screen for viewing information and video from remote cameras connected to a communications network. This image is an operation image for setting the orientation of an image or video that can be rotated 360 degrees around a certain point. Hereinafter, the image or video whose orientation is set by operating this image is referred to as the "setting target." This image changes depending on the operation and includes a pointer that indicates the current orientation and an angle image that helps users intuitively understand the pointer's orientation (both collectively referred to as the "orientation display unit"). The orientation display unit can be rotated either clockwise (Image 1 → Image 2 → Image 3 → Image 4 → Image 5 → Image 1) or counterclockwise (Image 1 → Image 5 → Image 4 → Image 3 → Image 2 → Image 1). This image is operated by rotating the orientation display unit and the surrounding area, for example, by dragging. The movement of the orientation display unit of this image and the movement of the setting target are linked, and by operating this image, the setting target can be rotated and its orientation can be set. A detailed explanation is provided below using reference figures. Reference Figure 1, showing an example of an embodiment, shows the application of the present image to a screen for viewing the location and orientation of a remote camera connected to a communication network on a map. The angle image of the camera icon can be rotated 360° in either a clockwise or counterclockwise direction around the bottom of the position marker. When the orientation display section of the present image is rotated, the angle image of the camera icon also rotates accordingly (in this embodiment, the angle image of the camera icon is the target of setting). The orientation of the orientation display section of the present image and the angle image of the camera icon are aligned. As shown in the figure, when the pointer of the present image is set to 144°, the angle image of the camera icon also faces in that direction. Furthermore, Reference Figure 2, which shows an example of an embodiment, shows this image applied to a screen for setting the horizontal position of the image of a remote 360° camera connected to a communication network.In this example, the image from a 360° camera is the setting target. The movement and orientation of the image orientation display unit and the movement and orientation of the setting target are linked, so by operating and rotating the image orientation display unit, the horizontal position of the setting target can be set, and the image displayed on the screen can be adjusted to the desired vertical position.
