Abstract

The design article is an assembly-type storage shelf consisting of a top frame, a bottom frame, a left frame, a right frame, a top plate, a bottom plate, and a shelf unit consisting of a combination of shelves and shelf support members. The top frame, bottom frame, left and right side frame, and shelf support members are made of metal (see the reference diagram showing the names of each part in use). The top frame, bottom frame, and left and right side frame are each frame-shaped (see the reduced exploded perspective view of the frame only). Assembly begins by first fastening the top frame to the left and right side frame with screws or other fastening means, and then fastening the bottom frame to the left and right side frame with screws or other fastening means to complete the frame (see the perspective view of the frame only). The top frame of the top frame and the bottom frame of the bottom frame protrude outward, making it easy to position the joints with the side frame. The top frame is configured in a shape that allows the top plate to fit into it, and the bottom frame is configured in a shape that allows the bottom plate to fit into it. By fitting the top and bottom plates together, the screws and other fastening mechanisms that secure the frames together are hidden, eliminating the simplicity and cheapness of conventional prefabricated steel shelving. This creates a sophisticated and appealing appearance that combines practicality, functionality, and design. The shelf unit is constructed by combining a shelf and shelf brackets, and is secured by hooking two tabs on each shelf bracket into holes at any height in the left and right side frame frames. The shelf unit also contributes to the overall strength of the shelf when installed. Because the storage space of this design is accessible from any direction, it can be used without contact with the wall, making it suitable for use in stores, for example. The design of this storage shelf, thanks to the assembly of each frame and the design combining the top, bottom, and shelf units, provides overall greater strength than conventional prefabricated steel shelving, while also offering superior design, functionality, and practicality.
