Connection connector

Abstract

This connector is attached to a mounting hole formed in an object to be attached, such as the housing of an electrical device, when connecting wiring to the electrical device, such as a wiring box or control panel. The connector includes a mounting member having a locking piece on its outer peripheral surface at its front end, a connector body having a nut groove on its inner peripheral surface that can be fastened to a bolt groove on the outer peripheral surface of the rear end of the mounting member, a waterproof ring that can be fitted to the front surface of the connector body, a cap nut that can be fastened to the bolt groove on the outer peripheral surface of the connector body at its rear end, and a gasket and washer interposed between the connector body and the cap nut. The connector is configured so that when a wiring is inserted through the insertion holes of the mounting member, connector body, gasket, washer, and cap nut, the gasket, compressed by the cap nut and connector body, is deformed so that its inner peripheral surface presses against the outer peripheral surface of the wiring, thereby holding the wiring. Attachment of the connector to the object to be attached is performed by inserting the front end of the mounting member into the mounting hole, locking the locking piece to the periphery of the mounting hole, and screwing the connector body into the mounting member.
