Abstract

This product is a swim bra for women who have lost a breast due to breast cancer treatment (such as mastectomy surgery). It can be worn under a swimsuit (skin side up) or used alone as a swimsuit or sports bra. It has a pad pocket that can hold breast-shaping pads. The pad pocket is composed of a first fabric portion, a second fabric portion, and a third fabric portion. The pad can be inserted through the opening at the top edge of the second fabric portion, but the first fabric portion covers the opening at the top edge of the second fabric portion, preventing the pad from slipping out. In the "Reference AA Cross-Section Showing the Names of Each Part and Joints" and "Reference AA Cross-Section Showing the First Fabric Portion of the Pad Pocket Removed," the red areas show where the first, second, and third fabric portions of the pad pocket are joined to the main fabric portion. The green areas (seams) show where the first, second, and third fabric portions of the pad pocket are joined to each other but not to the main fabric portion. The first, second and third fabric parts of the pad pocket are joined together at the seams, preventing the pad from moving or shifting, and because they are not joined to the main fabric part at the seams, the seams are not visible on the front (exterior) side, resulting in a neat design.
