Abstract

This product is a knitted foot warmer designed to be worn inside bedding, such as a futon, while sleeping to prevent cold feet. The open toe design (see enlarged diagram) prevents the stuffiness, heat, and flushing of the feet that can occur when wearing closed-toe socks. As shown in the reference usage diagram 1, a slit on the back allows the heel to fit, preventing the foot warmer from slipping off even if the heel rubs against the mattress. The opening on the calf side is loose, preventing tightness and restricting blood flow to the toes. The slit on the back is shorter on the calf side and longer on the toe side. The length from the heel slit to the toe is sufficient to cover the toes, preventing cold feet. The slit where the heel is located extends to the calf side, with the tip positioned just above the ankle. The calf side is loosely knitted to prevent excessive tightness and warmth around the calf, ensuring comfortable wear. Some people with extremely cold feet wear socks to bed, but closed-toe socks can cause sweaty, hot, or overheated feet, making it difficult to sleep comfortably. Another complaint is that moving the feet during sleep causes the heel to rub against the mattress, causing the socks to slip off. This product addresses both of these issues. The soles of the feet have many pressure points, and warming the soles is considered beneficial.
