Cam unit

Abstract

This article is a cam unit used, for example, to punch holes in the body frame of an automobile. This article is a press die consisting of a movable die (upper) and a fixed die (lower), and comprises a mounting base fixed to the movable die, a cam slider supported by the mounting base and biased in the return direction by an elastic member to reciprocate in a predetermined direction with a predetermined stroke, and a cam driver fixed to the fixed die that moves the cam slider in the direction of action at the contact surface. A punching tool (retainer) for punching holes is attached to the tip of this cam slider, and by reciprocating the movable die in the vertical direction, a hole is punched in the body frame by the punch of the cam slider.
