Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] This application relates to the field of battery technology, and more particularly to batteries, power consuming devices, and methods and apparatus for manufacturing batteries. [Background technology]
[0002] As environmental pollution becomes more serious, the new energy industry has attracted more and more attention, and battery technology is a key factor in the development of the new energy industry.
[0003] Although the energy density of a battery is one important parameter of the battery's performance, other performance parameters of the battery must also be considered in order to improve the energy density of the battery. Therefore, how to improve the performance of the battery is a technical problem to be solved in battery technology. Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0004] The present application provides a battery, a power consumption device, and a method and apparatus for manufacturing a battery that can improve the energy density of the battery while ensuring electrical insulation and thermal conduction within the battery, thereby improving the performance of the battery. [Means for solving the problem]
[0005] In a first aspect, a battery is provided that includes a plurality of battery cells arranged along a first direction, and a thermally conductive member extending along the first direction and connected to a first wall of each of the plurality of battery cells, the first wall being the wall having the largest area among the battery cells, the thermally conductive member being used to conduct heat of the battery cells, a surface of the thermally conductive member connected to the first wall being an insulating surface, a size of the thermally conductive member in a second direction being 0.1 to 100 mm, and the second direction being perpendicular to the first wall.
[0006] In the embodiment of the present application, in the battery, the thermal conductive member is configured to be connected to a first wall having the largest area of each battery cell among a plurality of battery cells arranged in a row along a first direction, the thermal conductive member is used to conduct heat of the battery cells, the surface of the thermal conductive member connected to the first wall is an insulating surface, and the size of the thermal conductive member in the second direction perpendicular to the first wall is 0.1 to 100 mm. In this way, it is not necessary to install a structure such as a beam in the center of the battery case, and the space utilization rate inside the battery can be improved as much as possible, thereby improving the energy density of the battery, and the above-mentioned thermal conductive member can be used to ensure the electrical insulation and thermal conduction of the battery. Therefore, the technical solution of the embodiment of the present application can improve the energy density of the battery and ensure the electrical insulation and thermal conduction of the battery, thereby improving the performance of the battery.
[0007] In one possible embodiment, the heat conducting member includes a metal plate and an insulating layer disposed on a surface of the metal plate. In this configuration, the strength of the heat conducting member is ensured by the metal plate, and the surface of the heat conducting member connected to the first wall by the insulating layer can be an insulating surface.
[0008] In one possible implementation, the heat conducting member is a plate of a non-metallic material.
[0009] In one possible implementation, a cavity is provided in the thermal conductive member, which ensures the strength of the thermal conductive member and reduces the weight of the thermal conductive member, and allows the thermal conductive member to have a large compression space in the second direction, thereby providing a large expansion space for the battery cell.
[0010] In one possible implementation, the cavity is used to contain a fluid to regulate the temperature of the battery cell, thereby effectively managing the temperature of the battery cell.
[0011] In a possible implementation form, the size T1 of the battery cell in the second direction and the size T2 of the heat conduction member in the second direction satisfy 0 < T2 / T1 ≤ 7. In this way, while ensuring the energy density of the battery, the safety of the battery can be ensured.
[0012] In a possible implementation form, 0 < T2 / T1 ≤ 1, whereby while further improving the energy density of the battery, the safety of the battery can be ensured.
[0013] In a possible implementation form, the weight M1 of the battery cell and the weight M2 of the heat conduction member satisfy 0 < M2 / M1 ≤ 20. In this way, while ensuring the weight energy density of the battery, the safety of the battery can be ensured.
[0014] In a possible implementation form, 0.1 ≤ M2 / M1 ≤ 1, whereby while further improving the energy density of the battery, the safety of the battery can be ensured.
[0015] In a possible implementation form, the area S1 of the first wall and the area S2 of the surface of the heat conduction member connected to the first wall of the plurality of battery cells satisfy 0.2 ≤ S2 / S1 ≤ 30. In this way, while ensuring the energy density of the battery, the safety of the battery can be ensured.
[0016] In a possible implementation form, 2 ≤ S2 / S1 ≤ 10, whereby while further improving the energy density of the battery, the safety of the battery can be ensured.
[0017] In one possible implementation, the specific heat capacity Q of the heat conductive member and the weight M2 of the heat conductive member satisfy 0.02KJ / (kg2*℃)≦Q / M2≦100KJ / (kg2*℃). If Q / M2<0.02KJ / (kg2*℃), the heat conductive member will absorb more energy, resulting in the temperature of the battery cell being too low and lithium precipitation may occur; if Q / M2>100KJ / (kg2*℃), the heat conductive member has poor thermal conductivity and cannot dissipate heat in a timely manner; if 0.02KJ / (kg2*℃)≦Q / M2≦100KJ / (kg2*℃), the safety of the battery is ensured.
[0018] In one possible implementation, 0.3KJ / (kg2*°C)≦Q / M2≦20KJ / (kg2*°C), thereby further improving the safety of the battery.
[0019] In one possible embodiment, the battery cell includes two of the first walls arranged opposite to each other in the second direction and two of the second walls arranged opposite to each other in the first direction, and the second walls of two adjacent battery cells face each other in the first direction. In this way, connecting the large-area first walls with a thermally conductive member is advantageous for heat exchange of the battery cells and ensures the performance of the battery.
[0020] In one possible embodiment, the battery includes a plurality of the battery cells and a plurality of the thermal conductive members arranged in a plurality of rows along the first direction, and the plurality of rows of the battery cells and the plurality of the thermal conductive members are alternately arranged in the second direction. In this manner, the plurality of rows of the battery cells and the plurality of the thermal conductive members are connected to each other and integrated and housed in a housing, which not only enables effective thermal conduction to each row of the battery cells, but also ensures the structural strength of the entire battery, thereby improving the performance of the battery.
[0021] In one possible implementation, the battery includes a plurality of battery modules, the battery modules including a plurality of the battery cells arranged in at least one row along the first direction and at least one of the thermally conductive members, and the at least one row of the battery cells and the at least one of the thermally conductive members are alternately arranged in the second direction.
[0022] In one possible implementation, the battery module includes N rows of the battery cells and N-1 thermal conductive members, and the thermal conductive members are disposed between two adjacent rows of the battery cells, where N is an integer greater than 1. In this way, fewer thermal conductive members are disposed in the battery, and it is possible to ensure that each battery cell is connected to a thermal conductive member.
[0023] In one possible implementation, the battery modules are arranged along the second direction, and there are gaps between adjacent battery modules, which provide space for battery cells to expand.
[0024] In one possible implementation, the thermally conductive member is bonded to the first wall.
[0025] In a second aspect there is provided a power consumption device comprising a battery according to the first aspect above or any possible embodiment of the first aspect, said battery being adapted to provide electrical energy.
[0026] In a third aspect, a method for manufacturing a battery is provided, the method including the steps of: providing a plurality of battery cells arranged along a first direction; and providing a thermally conductive member extending along the first direction and connected to a first wall of each battery cell among the plurality of battery cells, the first wall being the wall having the largest area among the battery cells, the thermally conductive member being used to conduct heat of the battery cells, a surface of the thermally conductive member connected to the first wall being an insulating surface, a size of the thermally conductive member in a second direction being 0.1 to 100 mm, and the second direction being perpendicular to the first wall.
[0027] In a fourth aspect, there is provided a battery manufacturing apparatus including a module for carrying out the method of the third aspect.
[0028] According to the technical solution of the embodiment of the present application, in a battery, a thermally conductive member is configured to be connected to a first wall having the largest area of each of a plurality of battery cells arranged in a row along a first direction, the thermally conductive member is used to conduct heat of the battery cells, the surface of the thermally conductive member connected to the first wall is an insulating surface, and the size of the thermally conductive member in a second direction perpendicular to the first wall is 0.1 to 100 mm. In this way, it is not necessary to install a structure such as a beam in the center of the battery case, and the space utilization rate inside the battery can be improved as much as possible, thereby improving the energy density of the battery, and the above-mentioned thermally conductive member can be used to ensure the electrical insulation and thermal conduction of the battery. Therefore, according to the technical solution of the embodiment of the present application, it is possible to improve the energy density of the battery and ensure the electrical insulation and thermal conduction of the battery, thereby improving the performance of the battery.

[0037] In the present application, the battery cell may include a lithium ion secondary battery, a lithium ion primary battery, a lithium sulfur battery, a sodium lithium ion battery, a sodium ion battery, a magnesium ion battery, etc., and the embodiments of the present application are not limited thereto. The battery cell may be a cylinder, a flat body, a rectangular parallelepiped, or other shape, and the embodiments of the present application are not limited thereto. Battery cells are generally divided into three types according to the packaging method, namely, a cylindrical battery cell, a prismatic battery cell, and a soft-pack battery cell, and the embodiments of the present application are not limited thereto.
[0038] A battery according to the present embodiment refers to a single physical module that includes one or more battery cells to provide high voltage and capacity. For example, the battery according to the present embodiment may include a battery pack, etc. The battery generally includes a housing for packaging one or more battery cells. The housing can prevent liquids and other foreign objects from affecting the charging or discharging of the battery cells.
[0039] The battery cell includes an electrode assembly and an electrolyte, and the electrode assembly is composed of a positive electrode plate, a negative electrode plate, and a separator. The battery cell is mainly operated by the movement of metal ions between the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate. The positive electrode plate includes a positive electrode collector and a positive electrode active material layer, and the positive electrode active material layer is applied to the surface of the positive electrode collector, and the current collector on which the positive electrode active material layer is not applied protrudes from the current collector on which the positive electrode active material layer is applied, and the current collector on which the positive electrode active material layer is not applied functions as a positive electrode tab. Taking a lithium ion battery as an example, the material of the positive electrode collector may be aluminum, and the positive electrode active material may be lithium cobalt oxide, lithium iron phosphate, ternary lithium, lithium manganate, etc. The negative electrode plate includes a negative electrode collector and a negative electrode active material layer, the negative electrode active material layer being applied to the surface of the negative electrode collector, the current collector on which the negative electrode active material layer is not applied protruding from the current collector on which the negative electrode active material layer is applied, and the current collector on which the negative electrode active material layer is not applied functions as a negative electrode tab. The material of the negative electrode collector may be copper, and the negative electrode active material may be carbon or silicon, etc. In order to ensure that the positive electrode tab is not melted even when a large current flows, multiple positive electrode tabs are laminated and integrated, and multiple negative electrode tabs are laminated and integrated. The material of the separator may be polypropylene (PP) or polyethylene (PE), etc. In addition, the electrode assembly may have a wound structure or a laminated structure, and the embodiment of the present application is not limited thereto.
[0040] In order to meet various power demands, a battery may include multiple battery cells, and the multiple battery cells may be connected in series, in parallel, or in series-parallel, where series-parallel connection refers to a combination of series and parallel connections. Optionally, multiple battery cells may first be connected in series, in parallel, or in series-parallel to form a battery module, and then multiple battery modules may be connected in series, in parallel, or in series-parallel to form a battery. That is, multiple battery cells may be directly assembled to form a battery, or a battery module may be formed and then the battery module may be used to form a battery. The battery may then be installed in a power consumption device to provide electrical energy to the power consumption device.
[0041] In the development of battery technology, multiple design factors such as energy density, cycle life, discharge capacity, charge / discharge rate, and safety must be considered simultaneously. When the internal space of a battery is constant, improving the utilization rate of the internal space of the battery is an effective means to improve the energy density of the battery. However, while improving the utilization rate of the internal space of the battery, other parameters such as the insulation and thermal conduction of the battery must also be considered.
[0042] In view of this, the embodiments of the present application provide a technical solution, in which a thermally conductive member is connected to a first wall having the largest area of each of a plurality of battery cells arranged in a row along a first direction in a battery, the thermally conductive member is used to conduct heat of the battery cells, the surface of the thermally conductive member connected to the first wall is an insulating surface, and the size of the thermally conductive member in a second direction perpendicular to the first wall is 0.1 to 100 mm. Therefore, the technical solution of the embodiments of the present application can improve the energy density of the battery and ensure the electrical insulation and thermal conduction of the battery, thereby improving the performance of the battery.
[0043] The technical solutions described in the embodiments of the present application can be applied to various devices that use batteries, such as mobile phones, portable devices, laptops, electric bicycles, electric toys, power tools, electric vehicles, ships and spacecraft, including, for example, airplanes, rockets, space shuttles and spaceships.
[0044] It is to be understood that the technical solutions described in the embodiments of the present application are not only applicable to the above-described devices, but also to all devices that use batteries, and for the sake of simplicity, all of the following embodiments will be described using electric vehicles as an example.
[0045] For example, FIG. 1 is a structural schematic diagram of a vehicle 1 according to an embodiment of the present application, where the vehicle 1 may be a gasoline vehicle, a gas vehicle, or a new energy vehicle, and the new energy vehicle may be a pure electric vehicle, a hybrid vehicle, or a range extender vehicle. A motor 40, a controller 30, and a battery 10 may be installed inside the vehicle 1, and the controller 30 is used to control the battery 10 to supply power to the motor 40. For example, the battery 10 may be installed at the bottom, front, or tail of the vehicle 1. The battery 10 is used to supply power to the vehicle 1, for example, the battery 10 may be used as an operating power source for the vehicle 1, for the circuit system of the vehicle 1, for example, for starting the vehicle 1, navigating, and supplying operating power during driving. In another embodiment of the present application, the battery 10 may not only function as an operating power source for the vehicle 1, but also replace or partially replace gasoline or natural gas as a driving power source for the vehicle 1 to provide driving power to the vehicle 1.
[0046] To meet various power demands, the battery 10 may include multiple battery cells. For example, Fig. 2 is a structural schematic diagram of the battery 10 according to an embodiment of the present application, and the battery 10 may include multiple battery cells 20. The battery 10 may further include a housing 11, the inside of which has a hollow structure, and the multiple battery cells 20 are accommodated in the housing 11. For example, the multiple battery cells 20 are connected in parallel, in series, or in series-parallel to each other and then placed in the housing 11.
[0047] Optionally, the battery 10 may further include other structures, but detailed description thereof will be omitted here. For example, the battery 10 may further include a bus member, which is used to realize electrical connection between the multiple battery cells 20, for example, parallel connection, series connection, or series-parallel connection. Specifically, the bus member can be connected to the electrode terminals of the battery cells 20 to electrically connect the battery cells 20 to each other. Furthermore, the bus member may be fixed to the electrode terminals of the battery cells 20 by welding. Electrical energy of the multiple battery cells 20 may further be extracted through the housing via a conductive mechanism. Optionally, the conductive mechanism may belong to the bus member.
[0048] According to different power demands, the number of the battery cells 20 may be set to any value. Multiple battery cells 20 can be connected in series, parallel, or series-parallel to achieve large capacity or power. Since the number of battery cells 20 included in each battery 10 may be large, the battery cells 20 may be grouped together to form a battery module for ease of installation. There is no limit to the number of battery cells 20 included in a battery module, and it may be set as needed. The battery may include multiple battery modules, which may be connected in series, parallel, or series-parallel.
[0049] 3 shows a structural schematic diagram of a battery cell 20 according to an embodiment of the present application, in which the battery cell 20 includes one or more electrode assemblies 22, a case 211, and a cover plate 212. The case 211 and the cover plate 212 form a housing or battery box 21. The walls of the case 211 and the cover plate 212 are both referred to as the walls of the battery cell 20, and in the case of a rectangular parallelepiped battery cell 20, the walls of the case 211 include a bottom wall and four side walls. The case 211 is determined according to the combined shape of one or more electrode assemblies 22, for example, the case 211 may be a hollow rectangular parallelepiped, cube, or cylinder, and one side of the case 211 has an opening that allows one or more electrode assemblies 22 to be inserted into the case 211. For example, when the case 211 is a hollow rectangular parallelepiped or cube, one face of the case 211 is an open face, i.e., the face does not have a wall and communicates between the inside and the outside of the case 211. When the case 211 is a hollow cylinder, an end face of the case 211 is an open face, i.e., the end face does not have a wall and communicates between the inside and the outside of the case 211. The cover plate 212 covers the opening and is connected to the case 211, thereby forming a sealed cavity that houses the electrode assembly 22. The case 211 is filled with an electrolyte such as an electrolyte solution.
[0050] The battery cell 20 may further include two electrode terminals 214, which may be installed on the cover plate 212. The cover plate 212 is generally in the shape of a flat plate, and the two electrode terminals 214 are fixed on the flat surface of the cover plate 212, and the two electrode terminals 214 are respectively a positive electrode terminal 214a and a negative electrode terminal 214b. A connecting member 23 is installed corresponding to each electrode terminal 214, and the connecting member 23 is also called a current collecting member 23 and is located between the cover plate 212 and the electrode assembly 22, and is used to realize the electrical connection between the electrode assembly 22 and the electrode terminals 214.
[0051] As shown in FIG. 3, each electrode assembly 22 has a first tab 221a and a second tab 222a. The polarities of the first tab 221a and the second tab 222a are opposite. For example, when the first tab 221a is a positive electrode tab, the second tab 222a is a negative electrode tab. The first tab 221a of one or more electrode assemblies 22 is connected to one electrode terminal via one connection member 23, and the second tab 222a of one or more electrode assemblies 22 is connected to another electrode terminal via another connection member 23. For example, the positive electrode terminal 214a is connected to the positive electrode tab via one connection member 23, and the negative electrode terminal 214b is connected to the negative electrode tab via the other connection member 23.
[0052] In the battery cell 20, one or more electrode assemblies 22 may be installed according to actual usage needs. As shown in FIG. 3, four independent electrode assemblies 22 are installed in the battery cell 20.
[0053] The battery cell 20 may further be provided with a pressure release mechanism 213. The pressure release mechanism 213 is used to operate when the internal pressure or temperature of the battery cell 20 reaches a threshold value to release the internal pressure or temperature.
[0054] The pressure release mechanism 213 may be any of a variety of available pressure release structures, and the embodiments of the present application are not limited thereto. For example, the pressure release mechanism 213 may be a temperature sensitive pressure release mechanism configured to melt when the internal temperature of the battery cell 20 in which the pressure release mechanism 213 is installed reaches a threshold value, and / or the pressure release mechanism 213 may be a pressure sensitive pressure release mechanism configured to burst when the internal air pressure of the battery cell 20 in which the pressure release mechanism 213 is installed reaches a threshold value.
[0055] FIG. 4 is a schematic diagram showing the structure of a battery 10 according to one embodiment of the present application.
[0056] The battery 10 includes a plurality of battery cells 20 and a thermally conductive member 101 arranged along a first direction x.
[0057] The first direction x is the arrangement direction of a row of battery cells 20 in the battery 10. That is, the row of battery cells 20 in the battery 10 is arranged along the x direction. The number of battery cells 20 in a row of battery cells 20 may be 2 to 20, but the embodiment of the present application is not limited to this.
[0058] The thermally conductive member 101 extends along a first direction x and is connected to a first wall 2111 of each of the plurality of battery cells 20, the first wall 2111 being the wall of the battery cell 20 that has the largest area.
[0059] The battery cell 20 may include multiple walls, and a first wall 2111 having the largest area of the battery cell 20 is connected to the thermally conductive member 101. That is, the first wall 2111 of the battery cell 20 faces the thermally conductive member 101, that is, the first wall 2111 of the battery cell 20 is parallel to the first direction x.
[0060] The thermal conductive member 101 is used to conduct heat from the battery cell 20, and the surface of the thermal conductive member 101 connected to the first wall 2111 is an insulating surface. Conducting heat from the battery cell 20 through the thermal conductive member 101 ensures that the temperature of the battery cell 20 is in a normal state. If the surface of the thermal conductive member 101 connected to the first wall 2111 is an insulating surface, electrical insulation between the thermal conductive member 101 and the battery cell 20 is ensured.
[0061] The size of the heat conducting member 101 in the second direction y is 0.1 to 100 mm, and the second direction y is perpendicular to the first wall 2111.
[0062] In the embodiment of the present application, the battery 10 is configured such that the thermally conductive member 101 is connected to the first wall 2111 having the largest area of each of the battery cells 20 among the plurality of battery cells 20 arranged in a row along the first direction x. In this manner, it is not necessary to provide a structure such as a beam in the center of the casing 11 of the battery 10, and the space utilization rate inside the battery 10 can be improved as much as possible, thereby improving the energy density of the battery 10.
[0063] In such a case, the heat conductive member 101 is required to have both strength and space in order to ensure the performance of the battery 10. In the embodiment of the present application, when the size T2 of the heat conductive member 101 in the second direction y is 0.1 to 100 mm, the needs for strength and space can be met.
[0064] Specifically, when the size T2 of the heat conductive member 101 in the second direction y, i.e., the thickness of the heat conductive member 101, is large, the strength of the heat conductive member 101 is high, and when T2 is small, the space occupied is small. When T2<0.1 mm, the heat conductive member 101 is easily damaged when subjected to an external force, and when T2>100 mm, the space occupied is too large, adversely affecting the energy density. Therefore, when the size T2 of the heat conductive member 101 in the second direction y is 0.1 to 100 mm, the strength can be ensured and the space utilization rate can be improved.
[0065] In the embodiment of the present application, the heat conductive member 101 is connected to the first wall 2111 having the largest area of each battery cell 20 among the plurality of battery cells 20 arranged in a row along the first direction x, and the heat conductive member 101 is used to conduct heat of the battery cells 20, and the surface of the heat conductive member 101 connected to the first wall 2111 is an insulating surface, and the size of the heat conductive member 101 in the second direction y perpendicular to the first wall 2111 is 0.1 to 100 mm. In this way, it is not necessary to install a structure such as a beam in the center of the housing 11 of the battery 10, and the space utilization rate inside the battery 10 can be improved as much as possible, thereby improving the energy density of the battery 10, and further ensuring the electrical insulation and thermal conduction of the battery 10 by using the heat conductive member 101. Therefore, the technical solution of the embodiment of the present application can improve the energy density of the battery 10 and ensure the electrical insulation and thermal conduction of the battery 10, thereby improving the performance of the battery 10.
[0066] Optionally, in one embodiment of the present application, the heat conducting member 101 may be a non-metallic material plate, i.e., the heat conducting member 101 is entirely made of a non-metallic insulating material.
[0067] Optionally, in one embodiment of the present application, the heat-conducting member 101 may include a metal plate and an insulating layer, and the insulating layer is disposed on the surface of the metal plate.
[0068] 5 is a schematic diagram of a heat conductive member 101 according to an embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG. 5, the heat conductive member 101 includes a metal plate 1011 and an insulating layer 1012 disposed on the surface of the metal plate 1011. With this configuration, the metal plate 1011 can ensure the strength of the heat conductive member 101, and the surface of the heat conductive member 101 connected to the first wall 2111 by the insulating layer 1012 can be an insulating surface. Optionally, the insulating layer 1012 may be an insulating film bonded to the surface of the metal plate 1011 or an insulating varnish applied to the surface of the metal plate 1011.
[0069] Optionally, in one embodiment of the present application, a cavity 1013 may be provided in the thermal conductive member 101 as shown in Fig. 6. The cavity 1013 ensures the strength of the thermal conductive member 101 and reduces the weight of the thermal conductive member, and is applicable, for example, to a case where the thickness T2 of the thermal conductive member 101 is large. In addition, the cavity 1013 allows the thermal conductive member 101 to maintain a large compression space in the second direction y, thereby providing a large expansion space for the battery cell 20.
[0070] Optionally, in one embodiment of the present application, the cavity 1013 may be used to contain a fluid to regulate the temperature of the battery cell 20 .
[0071] The fluid may be a liquid or a gas, and temperature adjustment refers to heating or cooling a plurality of battery cells 20. When reducing the temperature of the battery cells 20, the cavity 1013 can accommodate a cooling medium to adjust the temperature of the plurality of battery cells 20. In this case, the fluid is also called a cooling medium or a cooling fluid, and specifically, it is called a coolant or a cooling gas. Further, the fluid may be used for heating, and the embodiments of the present application do not limit this. Optionally, the fluid may be circulating, and thereby, an excellent temperature adjustment effect is realized. Optionally, the fluid may be water, a mixture of water and ethylene glycol, a refrigerant, air, or the like.
[0072] Optionally, in one embodiment of the present application, the size T1 of the battery cell 20 in the second direction y and the size T2 of the heat conduction member 101 in the second direction y satisfy 0 < T2 / T1 ≤ 7.
[0073] If T2 / T1 is too large, the heat conduction member 101 occupies a large space and has an adverse effect on the energy density. Also, when the heat conduction of the heat conduction member 101 to the battery cell 20 is too fast, there is a risk of safety problems. For example, if one battery cell 20 undergoes thermal runaway, thermal runaway of other battery cells 20 connected to the same heat conduction member 101 may be caused. When 0 < T2 / T1 ≤ 7, the energy density of the battery 10 can be ensured and the safety of the battery 10 can be ensured.
[0074] Optionally, in one embodiment of the present application, the size T1 of the battery cell 20 in the second direction y and the size T2 of the heat conduction member 101 in the second direction y further satisfy 0 < T2 / T1 ≤ 1, thereby further improving the energy density of the battery 10 and ensuring the safety of the battery 10.
[0075] Optionally, in one embodiment of the present application, the weight M1 of the battery cell 20 and the weight M2 of the heat conduction member 101 satisfy 0 < M2 / M1 ≤ 20.
[0076] If M2 / M1 is too large, the weight energy density is lost. When 0 < M2 / M1 ≤ 20, it is possible to ensure the weight energy density of the battery 10 and the safety of the battery 10.
[0077] Optionally, in one embodiment of the present application, the weight M1 of the battery cell 20 and the weight M2 of the heat conduction member 101 further satisfy 0.1 ≤ M2 / M1 ≤ 1, whereby the energy density of the battery 10 can be further improved and the safety of the battery 10 can be ensured.
[0078] Optionally, in one embodiment of the present application, the area S1 of the first wall 2111 and the area S2 of the surface of the heat conduction member 101 connected to the first wall 2111 of a plurality of battery cells 20 in a row satisfy 0.2 ≤ S2 / S1 ≤ 30.
[0079] S2 is the total area of the surface of the heat conduction member 101 connected to the battery cell 20. If S2 / S1 is too large, it has an adverse effect on the energy density. If S2 / S1 is too small, the heat conduction effect is very poor and it has an adverse effect on safety. When 0.2 ≤ S2 / S1 ≤ 30, it is possible to ensure the energy density of the battery 10 and the safety of the battery 10.
[0080] Optionally, in one embodiment of the present application, S2 and S1 further satisfy 2 ≤ S2 / S1 ≤ 10, whereby the energy density of the battery 10 can be further improved and the safety of the battery 10 can be ensured.
[0081] Optionally, in one embodiment of the present application, the specific heat capacity Q of the heat conduction member 101 and the weight M2 of the heat conduction member 101 satisfy 0.02 KJ / (kg²·°C) ≤ Q / M2 ≤ 100 KJ / (kg²·°C).
[0082] If Q / M2<0.02KJ / (kg2*℃), the heat conductive member 101 will absorb more energy, resulting in a too low temperature of the battery cell 20, which may cause lithium precipitation; if Q / M2>100KJ / (kg2*℃), the heat conductive member 101 has poor thermal conductivity and cannot dissipate heat in a timely manner; if 0.02KJ / (kg2*℃)≦Q / M2≦100KJ / (kg2*℃), the safety of the battery 10 can be ensured.
[0083] Optionally, in one embodiment of the present application, Q and M2 further satisfy 0.3KJ / (kg2*℃)≦Q / M2≦20KJ / (kg2*℃), which can further improve the safety of the battery 10.
[0084] Optionally, in one embodiment of the present application, the battery cell 20 includes two first walls 2111 arranged opposite to each other in the second direction y and two second walls 2112 arranged opposite to each other in the first direction x, and the second walls 2112 of two adjacent battery cells 20 face each other in the first direction x. That is, in the case of a rectangular battery cell 20, its large side, i.e., the first wall 2111, is connected to the thermal conductive member 101, and its small side, i.e., the second wall 2112, is connected to the second wall 2112 of the adjacent battery cell 20, and thus the battery cells 20 are arranged in a line in the first direction x. In this way, the large-area first wall 2111 is connected to the thermal conductive member 101, which is advantageous for heat exchange of the battery cell 20 and ensures the performance of the battery 10.
[0085] Alternatively, in one embodiment of the present application, the battery 10 includes a plurality of battery cells 20 and a plurality of thermally conductive members 101 arranged in a plurality of rows along a first direction x, and the plurality of rows of battery cells 20 and the plurality of thermally conductive members 101 are alternately arranged in a second direction y. That is, the plurality of rows of battery cells 20 and the plurality of thermally conductive members 101 may be arranged as follows: thermally conductive member 101, row of battery cells 20, thermally conductive member 101..., or row of battery cells 20, thermally conductive member 101, row of battery cells 20.... In this manner, the plurality of rows of battery cells 20 and the plurality of thermally conductive members 101 are connected and integrated and housed in the housing 11, which not only enables effective thermal conduction to be performed for each row of battery cells 20, but also ensures the structural strength of the entire battery 10, thereby improving the performance of the battery 10.
[0086] 7 shows a structural schematic diagram of a battery 10 according to another embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG. 7, the battery 10 may include a plurality of battery modules 100. The battery module 100 may include a plurality of battery cells 20 and at least one thermally conductive member 101 arranged in at least one row along a first direction x, and the at least one row of battery cells 20 and the at least one thermally conductive member 101 are alternately arranged in a second direction y. That is, in each battery module 100, the row of battery cells 20 and the thermally conductive member 101 therein are alternately arranged in the second direction y, and the plurality of battery modules 100 are housed in a housing 11 to form a battery 10.
[0087] Optionally, the battery module 100 may include N rows of battery cells 20 and N-1 thermal conductive members 101, where the thermal conductive members 101 are disposed between two adjacent rows of battery cells 20, and N is an integer greater than 1. That is, the thermal conductive members 101 are disposed inside the battery module 100, and no thermal conductive members 101 are disposed outside the battery module 100. For example, one thermal conductive member 101 is disposed between two rows of battery cells 20, two thermal conductive members 101 are disposed between three rows of battery cells 20, and so on.
[0088] Optionally, in one embodiment of the present application, as shown in Fig. 7, the battery module 100 includes two rows of battery cells 20, i.e., N is 2. In such a case, one thermally conductive member 101 is installed in the two rows of battery cells 20. No thermally conductive member 101 is installed between adjacent battery modules 100, thus ensuring that each battery cell 20 is connected to a thermally conductive member 101, although fewer thermally conductive members 101 are installed in the battery 10 in this embodiment.
[0089] Optionally, in one embodiment of the present application, the multiple battery modules 100 are arranged along the second direction y, and there is a gap between adjacent battery modules 100. There is no thermally conductive member 101 between adjacent battery modules 100, and there is a predetermined gap. The gap between adjacent battery modules 100 can provide the battery cells 20 with expansion space.
[0090] Optionally, a fixing structure is provided at an end of the thermal conductive member 101 in the first direction x, and the thermal conductive member 101 is fixed to the housing 11 via the fixing structure. As shown in Fig. 7, the fixing structure may include a fixing plate 104, which is fixedly connected to the end of the thermal conductive member 101 and connected to the battery cells 20 located at the end of the thermal conductive member 101, thereby enhancing the fixing effect on the battery cells 20.
[0091] Optionally, in one embodiment of the present application, the thermally conductive member 101 is adhered to the first wall 2111. That is, the thermally conductive member 101 and the battery cell 20 are fixedly connected by adhesion, for example, by a structural adhesive, but the embodiment of the present application is not limited thereto.
[0092] Optionally, the battery cells 20 may be fixed to the housing 11 by adhesion. Optionally, adjacent battery cells 20 in each column of battery cells 20 may be bonded to each other, for example, the second walls 2112 of two adjacent battery cells 20 are bonded with a structural adhesive, but the embodiment of the present application is not limited thereto. The adhesive fixation of adjacent battery cells 20 in each column of battery cells 20 further enhances the fixing effect of the battery cells 20.
