Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a CAD program for designing a plate denture, a CAM program, and a method for manufacturing a plate denture. [Background technology]

[0002] A method for producing a denture with a plate having gums and artificial teeth has been known for some time. For example, Patent Document 1 describes the following method for producing a denture with a plate as a conventional technique. According to Patent Document 1, in producing a denture with a plate, first, a dental impression of the patient is taken (impression taking) at a dental clinic, and plaster is poured into the impression to produce a model (jaw model) of the patient's oral cavity. Next, wax is piled up on the produced model to form an occlusal bank (wax bank) to obtain a occlusal bank. Artificial teeth made of resin or the like are implanted in the obtained occlusal bank to produce a wax denture. After that, the wax denture (occlusal bank with artificial teeth installed) is actually applied to the oral cavity of the patient at a dental clinic, and the teeth alignment, occlusion, etc. of the wax denture are checked (try-in). After the try-in, the wax denture is placed in a dental flask together with the model, and plaster or other investment material is poured in to fix it in place (embedding). Once the investment material has hardened, the wax denture in the dental flask is melted with heat (dewaxing) and poured out of the dental flask. After that, the dental flask from which the wax denture has been poured out is filled with resin for forming dentures with a base, such as heat-polymerizing resin or thermoplastic resin, and polymerized, and then removed from the dental flask. After that, finishing work such as polishing is performed, and the dentures with a base are manufactured.

[0003] Methods for manufacturing a denture with a base using computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) techniques have also been known for some time. For example, Patent Document 2 discloses a method for manufacturing a denture with a base based on three-dimensional data created by a CAD device, which includes a denture base and artificial teeth. In the method described in Patent Document 2, three-dimensional data for artificial teeth and three-dimensional data for an artificial tooth mold representing the alignment of the artificial teeth are created from the three-dimensional data of the denture with a base. Furthermore, based on the three-dimensional data of the artificial tooth mold, a cutting machine is used to form an arrangement groove for the artificial teeth in a mold for the denture with a base. The artificial teeth are arranged in the arrangement groove for the artificial teeth. A denture base resin is injected into the mold in which the artificial teeth are arranged and hardened. The integrated body of the denture base resin and the artificial teeth is cut by a cutting machine based on the three-dimensional data of the denture with a base. As a result, a denture with a base including the denture base and artificial teeth is carved out.

[0004] According to the method described in Patent Document 2, the production of wax dentures and the fitting of wax dentures in the method described in Patent Document 1 are replaced by designing a plate denture using a CAD device and cutting the placement grooves and the plate denture using a cutting machine. In addition, the steps of injecting and hardening the investment material and dewaxing are omitted. Therefore, the time and labor required for the production of a plate denture can be reduced. In the method disclosed in Patent Document 2, the bite of the artificial teeth is checked and adjusted on the CAD device. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

[0005] [Patent Document 1] JP 2017-184862 A [Patent Document 2] JP 2022-114121 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0006] In the method using wax dentures, the dimensions and shape of the denture base change due to the shrinkage of the denture base resin during polymerization. Therefore, it is difficult to manufacture a denture base that fits the patient without the skills to take into account the effects of resin shrinkage.

[0007] When designing a denture on a CAD device and cutting the resin with the artificial teeth fixed in place based on the design, there is no need to consider the effects of resin shrinkage. However, when designing a denture on a CAD device, the patient is not directly tested for a try-in, and the bite is performed using a virtual articulator, so the bite may not match the patient's bite. In such cases, manual adjustments to the fit are required.

[0008] The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned points, and its object is to provide a CAD program for designing a denture that can design a denture that fits a patient. It is also to provide a CAM program for designing a denture that can manufacture a denture that fits a patient, and a method for manufacturing a denture. [Means for solving the problem]

[0009] The CAD program for designing a removable denture disclosed herein is configured to cause a computer to realize a data acquisition unit that acquires three-dimensional data of an intraoral model created based on the shape of the patient's oral cavity surface, three-dimensional data of a wax denture including artificial teeth adjusted based on the patient's try-in, and three-dimensional data of a one-piece model in which the wax denture is attached to the intraoral model, and a data creation unit that combines the three-dimensional data of the intraoral model and the three-dimensional data of the wax denture via the three-dimensional data of the one-piece model, and creates three-dimensional data of a removable denture including the three-dimensional data of the oral cavity surface of the intraoral model and the three-dimensional data of the artificial teeth of the wax denture.

[0010] The intraoral model is made based on the shape of the oral cavity surface of the patient, so it fits the patient's oral cavity. Also, the artificial teeth of the wax denture are adjusted based on the try-in of the patient, so they fit the patient's bite. Therefore, the above-mentioned CAD program for designing removable dentures can design removable dentures that fit the patient.

[0011] The manufacturing method of a plate denture disclosed herein includes the steps of: taking a shape of the surface of the patient's mouth and making an intraoral model based on the taken shape of the oral cavity surface; making a wax denture with artificial teeth attached to a denture base made based on the intraoral model and having the patient try on the wax denture to adjust the shape of the artificial teeth; measuring the three-dimensional shape of the intraoral model with a three-dimensional scanner; measuring the three-dimensional shape of the adjusted wax denture with a three-dimensional scanner; attaching the wax denture to the intraoral model to make an integrated model; and measuring the three-dimensional shape of the wax denture with a three-dimensional scanner. the steps of: measuring the three-dimensional shape of the one-piece model; synthesizing the three-dimensional data of the wax denture and the three-dimensional data of the intraoral model via the three-dimensional data of the one-piece model to create three-dimensional data of a denture including three-dimensional data of the oral surface of the intraoral model and three-dimensional data of the artificial teeth of the wax denture; producing a workpiece including a denture base material that forms a denture base and artificial teeth embedded in the denture base material; and cutting a denture having a denture base and artificial teeth from the workpiece based on the three-dimensional data of the created denture base.

[0012] According to the above-mentioned method for manufacturing a plate denture, a plate denture having an oral cavity surface based on the shape of the oral cavity surface of the patient and artificial teeth based on the try-in of the patient can be manufactured. Thus, a plate denture that fits the patient can be manufactured. [Brief description of the drawings]

[0014] Hereinafter, one embodiment of a method for manufacturing a plate denture using a CAD program for designing a plate denture will be described with reference to the drawings. Note that the embodiment described here is not intended to limit the present invention in any particular way. Also, the same reference numerals are used for members and parts that perform the same functions, and duplicated descriptions are omitted or simplified as appropriate.

[0015] [Manufacturing method for removable dentures] FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a plate denture 10. The plate denture 10 includes a denture base 20 and a plurality of artificial teeth 30 arranged on the denture base 20. The artificial teeth 30 are bonded to the denture base 20. Here, there are a plurality of artificial teeth 30. The artificial teeth 30 are formed from various materials such as polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) resin, zirconia, glass ceramics, glass fiber, polyetheretherketone resin (PEEK), hybrid resin, etc. The artificial teeth 30 may be in the form of a bridge in which a plurality of artificial teeth are integrated. The denture base 20 is formed from a denture base material 21 (see FIG. 7), such as a dental resin material or a dental ceramic material. An example of a procedure for manufacturing the plate denture 10 will be described below.

[0016] FIG. 2 is a flow chart showing an example of a procedure for manufacturing the plate denture 10. As shown in FIG. 2, the manufacturing steps for the plate denture 10 according to this embodiment include a data creation step S10, a molding step S20, a processing step S30, and a try-in step S40. In the data creation step S10, three-dimensional data 10D (see FIG. 3) of the plate denture 10 is created. In the molding step S20, a workpiece 40 (see FIG. 7) including a denture base material 21 (see FIG. 7) forming the denture base 20 and artificial teeth 30 embedded in the denture base material 21 is manufactured. In the processing step S30, the plate denture 10 having the denture base 20 and the artificial teeth 30 is cut out from the workpiece 40 based on the created three-dimensional data 10D of the plate denture 10. In the try-in step S40, the cut-out plate denture 10 is try-in fitted to the patient.

[0017] In the data creation step S10, three-dimensional data 10D of the plate denture 10 is created. The three-dimensional data 10D is, for example, STL (Standard Triangulated Language) data. FIG. 3 is a perspective view showing an image of the STL data 10D of the plate denture 10. The STL data 10D is created by a computer-aided design device (CAD device) 100A (see FIG. 5). The CAD device 100A is a computer in which a CAD program 100 for designing a plate denture is installed, which is configured to realize various functions described later on a computer. The CAD program 100 for designing a plate denture and the CAD device 100A according to this embodiment are configured with special specifications so that a plate denture 10 that fits a patient can be designed. Details of the CAD device 100A and details of a method for creating the STL data 10D of the plate denture 10 using the CAD device 100A will be described later.

[0018] In step S10, STL data of an artificial tooth mold 51 (see FIG. 6) representing the tooth alignment (dentition) of the artificial teeth 30 is created from the STL data 10D of the plate denture 10. The STL data of the artificial tooth mold 51 is used when cutting a molding die 50 (described later, see FIG. 4) in the molding step S20. The STL data of the artificial tooth mold 51 includes STL data of a plurality of arrangement grooves 52 (see FIG. 6). Here, the artificial tooth mold 51 is composed of the arrangement grooves 52. The arrangement grooves 52 are grooves into which the artificial teeth 30 are fitted in the molding step S20.

[0019] In the molding step S20, the workpiece 40 including the denture base material 21 and the artificial tooth 30 is molded. In the molding step S20, a mold 50 is used. FIG. 4 is a perspective view showing the mold 50. The mold 50 is a form for manufacturing the plate denture 10. In the molding step S20, the bottom of the mold 50 is cut using a cutting machine 60 based on the STL data of the artificial tooth mold 51, and the arrangement groove 52 is cut and formed. FIG. 5 is a block diagram showing the conversion and transmission of three-dimensional data. The processing data 60D that instructs the operation of the cutting machine 60 is so-called NC data. As shown in FIG. 5, the processing data 60D is created by a computer-aided manufacturing device (CAM device) 200A that is communicably connected to the CAD device 100A. The CAM device 200A is a computer in which a CAM program 200 is installed. The computer in which the CAD program 100 is installed and the computer in which the CAM program 200 is installed may be the same computer or different computers. The CAM device 200A converts the three-dimensional data 10D of the denture 10 created by the CAD program 100 for designing a denture into processing data 60D for the cutting machine 60. The cutting machine 60 produces the denture 10 by cutting in accordance with the processing data 60D. Note that the cutting machine 60 that cuts out the denture 10 by cutting in the processing step S30 and the cutting machine 60 that cuts and forms the arrangement groove 52 in the molding step S20 may be different cutting machines.

[0020] 6 is a plan view showing the molding die 50 in which the arrangement grooves 52 are formed. In the molding step S20, the artificial teeth 30 are then arranged in the arrangement grooves 52. As a result, each artificial tooth 30 is fitted in a predetermined position in the molding die 50 in a predetermined orientation. In this embodiment, the artificial teeth 30 are arranged in the arrangement grooves 52 with the root side facing upward. In other words, the artificial teeth 30 are arranged in the arrangement grooves 52 with the crown side (the side in contact with the opposing tooth) facing downward.

[0021] Next, the denture base material 21 is injected into the molding die 50 and cured to form the cutting object 40 in which the molding die 50, the artificial teeth 30, and the cured product of the denture base material 21 are integrated. As the denture base material 21, any known material that has been conventionally used for molding denture bases can be used without any particular limitation. As the denture base material 21, for example, dental resin materials such as denture base resins (also called denture base resin compositions), dental waxes, dental ceramic materials, gypsum, etc. can be mentioned. The denture base material may be a dental curable composition. The amount of the denture base material 21 injected is an amount that allows all the artificial teeth 30 arranged in the molding die 50 to be completely embedded.

[0022] Next, the denture base material 21 is hardened. When the denture base material 21 is a heat-polymerizing resin, the denture base material 21 is heated to harden it. For example, a pressurized polymerization device (e.g., a pressure pot) is used to heat-harden the denture base material 21. Fig. 7 is a plan view showing the state in which the denture base material 21 has been poured into a molding die 50 in which an artificial tooth 30 has been arranged and hardened.

[0023] In the processing step S30, the cutting machine 60 cuts the workpiece 40 based on the STL data 10D of the denture 10 (processing data 60D converted from the STL data 10D) to obtain the denture 10. In the processing step S30, unnecessary parts of the denture base material 21 are cut off. In the processing step S30, a part of the molding die 50 may also be cut off. In the processing step S30, the artificial tooth 30 may be cut and formed based on the STL data 10D of the denture 10. However, the artificial tooth 30 may be cut and formed based on the STL data 10D of the denture 10 before being attached to the arrangement groove 52 in the molding step S20. In the processing step S30, the cut and formed denture 10 is subsequently removed from the molding die 50. Unnecessary parts remaining on the workpiece 40 at this stage are cut off using hand tools or the like. The denture 10 is polished and prepared for try-in by the patient.

[0024] In the try-in step S40, the plate denture 10 is tried on the patient, and grinding is performed to adjust the detailed shape of the plate denture 10. If the STL data 10D of the plate denture 10 designed in the data creation step S10 fits the patient well, the try-in step S40 can be completed in a short time with few steps.

[0025] [How to create 3D data for removable dentures] In the following, the CAD device 100A and a method for creating the STL data 10D of the plate denture 10 using the CAD device 100A will be described.

[0026] FIG. 8 is a block diagram of the CAD device 100A. As shown in FIG. 8, the CAD device 100A includes a data acquisition unit 110 and a data creation unit 120. The data acquisition unit 110 acquires three-dimensional data 70D (see FIG. 10) of an intraoral model 70 made based on the shape of the oral cavity surface of a patient, three-dimensional data 80D (see FIG. 11) of a wax denture 80 including an artificial tooth 30 adjusted based on a try-in of the patient, and three-dimensional data 90D (see FIG. 12) of an integrated model 90 in which the wax denture 80 is attached to the intraoral model 70 (see FIG. 5). The three-dimensional data 70D of the intraoral model 70, the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80, and the three-dimensional data 90D of the integrated model 90 are acquired by a three-dimensional scanner 250. The data creation unit 120 combines the three-dimensional data 70D of the intraoral model 70 and the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 via the three-dimensional data 90D of the one-piece model 90, and creates three-dimensional data 10D of the plate denture 10 including three-dimensional data 71D (see Figure 10) of the oral cavity surface 71 of the intraoral model 70 and three-dimensional data 30D (see Figure 11) of the artificial teeth 30 of the wax denture 80.

[0027] In this embodiment, the data creation unit 120 includes a first position processing unit 130, a second position processing unit 140, a deletion processing unit 150, a smoothing processing unit 160, an extension processing unit 170, an oral cavity surface formation processing unit 180, and a non-manifold processing unit 190.

[0028] The first position processing unit 130 performs a process (hereinafter also referred to as a first alignment process) of aligning the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 with the three-dimensional data 90D of the one-piece model 90 so as to match multiple points specified in the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 with multiple points specified in the three-dimensional data 90D of the one-piece model 90.

[0029] The first position processing unit 130 includes an automatic processing unit 131 configured to automatically perform the first alignment processing, and a semi-automatic processing unit 132 configured to semi-automatically perform the first alignment processing. The CAD device 100A is configured to be able to select whether to perform the first alignment processing automatically or semi-automatically.

[0030] The automatic processing unit 131 is configured to automatically designate a plurality of points from the three-dimensional data 80D or 90D of one of the wax denture 80 and the one-piece model 90, and to automatically search for (automatically designate) a plurality of points corresponding to the automatically designated plurality of points from the three-dimensional data 90D or 80D of the other of the wax denture 80 and the one-piece model 90.

[0031] As shown in FIG. 8, the automatic processing unit 131 includes a rough fit processing unit 131A and a precision fit processing unit 131B. The rough fit processing unit 131A aligns the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 with the three-dimensional data 90D of the integral model 90 so that the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 approaches a corresponding portion of the three-dimensional data 90D of the integral model 90. Hereinafter, this processing is also called rough fit processing. In the rough fit processing, the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 and the three-dimensional data 90D of the integral model 90 are aligned so that the distance between the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 and the three-dimensional data 90D of the integral model 90 is within a predetermined distance, for example, 1 mm. The above-mentioned predetermined distance is preferably within 5 mm, more preferably within 1 mm. By the rough fitting process, almost the entirety (e.g., 99% or more) of the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 overlaps with the three-dimensional data 90D of the integrated model 90. In this embodiment, the rough fitting process can be performed by pressing an execution button for the rough fitting process. However, the rough fitting process may be performed as a pre-processing for the precise fitting so that the operator of the CAD device 100A cannot recognize it.

[0032] After the alignment by the rough fit processing unit 131A, the precision fit processing unit 131B automatically designates a plurality of points from the three-dimensional data 80D or 90D of one of the wax denture 80 and the one-piece model 90, and automatically searches (automatically designates) a plurality of points corresponding to the automatically designated plurality of points from the three-dimensional data 90D or 80D of the other of the wax denture 80 and the one-piece model 90. The precision fit processing unit 131B further aligns the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 and the three-dimensional data 90D of the one-piece model 90 so that the designated points on the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 and the designated points on the three-dimensional data 90D of the one-piece model 90 coincide with each other. Hereinafter, such processing by the precision fit processing unit 131B is also referred to as precision fit processing. In this embodiment, the precision fit processing can be performed by pressing a precision fit processing execution button.

[0033] By the precision fit process, the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 and the three-dimensional data 90D of the one-piece model 90 are aligned with sufficient accuracy to manufacture the plate denture 10. By performing the rough fit process, the designated points on the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 and the corresponding points on the three-dimensional data 90D of the one-piece model 90 are close to each other, so the precision fit process can be performed with a small amount of information processing. In the precision fit process, for example, three or more points on the one-piece model 90 that have many irregularities in the vicinity (for example, points on molars and front teeth such as points P1 to P3 in FIG. 12) are automatically designated. Points that have many irregularities in the vicinity have a large difference from other points, and it is easy to identify the corresponding points on the wax denture 80 (for example, P11 to P13 in FIG. 11).

[0034] In the semi-automatic processing, an operator specifies one of points on the one-piece model 90 and points on the wax denture 80. As shown in FIG. 8, the semi-automatic processing unit 132 includes a specification screen configuration unit 132A and a fit processing unit 132B. The specification screen configuration unit 132A configures an operation screen on which a plurality of points can be specified from the three-dimensional data 90D or 80D of one of the one-piece model 90 and the wax denture 80. The operator specifies, for example, a plurality of points on the one-piece model 90 via the operation screen. The fit processing unit 132B automatically searches (automatically specifies) a plurality of points corresponding to the plurality of points specified via the operation screen from the three-dimensional data 80D or 90D of the other of the one-piece model 90 and the wax denture 80. The fit processing unit 132B further aligns the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 with the three-dimensional data 90D of the one-piece model 90 so that a designated point on the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 coincides with a designated point on the three-dimensional data 90D of the one-piece model 90. The fit processing unit 132B may be configured to perform rough fit processing and precise fit processing, or may be configured to perform only precise fit processing.

[0035] The second position processing unit 140 performs alignment (hereinafter also referred to as second alignment processing) between the three-dimensional data 70D of the intraoral model 70 and the three-dimensional data 90D of the one-piece model 90 so that a plurality of points (e.g., points P4 to P6 in FIG. 12) designated in the three-dimensional data 90D of the intraoral model 70 coincide with a plurality of points (e.g., points P14 to P16 in FIG. 10) designated in the three-dimensional data 70D of the intraoral model 70. In this embodiment, the second position processing unit 140 includes an automatic processing unit 141 as shown in FIG. 8, and automatically performs the second alignment processing. The automatic processing unit 141 automatically designates a plurality of points from the three-dimensional data 70D or 90D of one of the intraoral model 70 and the one-piece model 90, and automatically searches for (automatically designates) a plurality of points corresponding to the automatically designated plurality of points from the three-dimensional data 90D or 70D of the other of the intraoral model 70 and the one-piece model 90. The automatic processing unit 141 may be configured to perform both the rough fit processing and the precise fit processing, or may be configured to perform only the precise fit processing.

[0036] Here, the automatic processing unit 141 is configured to automatically perform the second alignment process without the operation of the operator (the second alignment process may be started upon receiving an instruction to execute the first alignment process from the operator). However, like the automatic processing unit 131 of the first position processing unit 130, the automatic processing unit 141 may be configured to perform the second alignment process upon receiving an execution instruction from the operator. Regarding the second alignment process, either automatic processing or semi-automatic processing may be selectable. The second position processing unit 140 may be configured to select whether to perform the second alignment process automatically or semi-automatically. When the automatic processing is selected, like the first alignment process, the rough fit process and the precise fit process may be performed based on the respective execution instructions. The semi-automatic processing may be the same as the first alignment process. The point designated by the operator in the semi-automatic processing may be a point on the three-dimensional data 90D of the integrated model 90, or may be a point on the three-dimensional data 70D of the intraoral model 70.

[0037] By the first alignment process and the second alignment process, the three-dimensional data 70D of the intraoral model 70 and the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 are aligned via the three-dimensional data 90D of the integrated model 90.

[0038] The deletion processing unit 150 performs a margin deletion process to delete three-dimensional data 81D (see Figs. 11 and 13) of the margin 81 from the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80. The margin 81 is a portion that corresponds to the oral cavity surface of the denture base 20, and is a boundary portion of the mucosal surface for maintaining the jaw model. Hereinafter, the three-dimensional data generated by this deletion processing unit 150 is also referred to as margin deletion data 80D1 (see Fig. 13). The smoothing processing unit 160 performs a smoothing process to smooth the portion of the margin deletion data 80D1 from which the margin 81 has been deleted.

[0039] The extension processing unit 170 performs a margin extension process that adds a filling portion 82D (see FIG. 14) to the margin 81 deleted by the deletion processing unit 150. Hereinafter, the three-dimensional data generated by the extension processing unit 170 is also referred to as extended data 80D2 (see FIG. 14). The oral cavity surface formation processing unit 180 deletes a part of the filling portion 82D so as to form the oral cavity surface 71 of the intraoral model 70 based on the three-dimensional data 70D of the intraoral model 70 aligned with the integrated model 90 by the second position processing unit 140. The oral cavity surface formation processing unit 180 thereby synthesizes the three-dimensional data 71D of the oral cavity surface 71 of the intraoral model 70 with the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80. Hereinafter, the process by the oral cavity surface formation processing unit 180 is also referred to as an oral cavity surface formation process. The non-manifold processing unit 190 performs a non-manifold deletion process to delete unnecessary parts (non-manifolds) that have become separated from the wax denture 80 (the wax denture 80 to which the oral cavity surface 71 has been added) by the oral cavity surface formation process. This completes the three-dimensional data 10D of the plate denture 10.

[0040] Fig. 9 is a flow chart showing an example of a procedure for creating STL data 10D of the plate denture 10 by the CAD device 100A. As shown in Fig. 9, the data creation step S10 includes an intraoral model production step S11, a wax denture production step S12, an intraoral model measurement step S13, a wax denture measurement step S14, an integrated model production step S15, an integrated model measurement step S16, and a data synthesis step S17.

[0041] In the intraoral model making step S11, the shape of the oral cavity surface of the patient is taken, and an intraoral model 70 is made based on the taken shape of the oral cavity surface. In the intraoral model making step S11, the shape of the oral cavity surface of the patient is taken (impression taking) at a dental clinic by a conventional method such as that disclosed in Patent Document 1, and plaster is poured into the impression to make an intraoral model 70 of the patient. However, the intraoral model making step S11 is not particularly limited as long as it makes an intraoral model 70 reflecting the taken shape of the oral cavity surface of the patient. For example, the intraoral model making step S11 may include a step of pouring a hardening material other than plaster into the impression. In addition, the shape of the patient's oral cavity can also be directly measured by an intraoral scanner. In the intraoral model measuring step S13, the three-dimensional shape of the intraoral model 70 is measured by a three-dimensional scanner 250. FIG. 10 is a perspective view showing an image of STL data 70D of the intraoral model 70 created from the three-dimensional shape of the intraoral model 70. The three-dimensional data 70D of the intraoral model 70 includes data 71D of an oral cavity surface 71 having an accurate shape obtained by sampling from the patient.

[0042] In the wax denture making step S12, a wax denture 80 is made by attaching artificial teeth 30 to a denture base 20 made based on an intraoral model 70, and the wax denture 80 is tried on the patient to adjust the shape of the artificial teeth 30. In the wax denture making step S12, wax (wax) is piled up on the intraoral model 70 (or on a base member made based on the intraoral model 70) to form a wax bank (bite plate) and make the denture base 20, for example, by a conventional method such as that disclosed in Patent Document 1. The artificial teeth 30 are implanted in the denture base 20 to make the wax denture 80. Thereafter, the wax denture 80 is actually applied to the patient's oral cavity at a dental clinic, and the teeth alignment, bite, etc. of the wax denture 80 are checked (try-in), and the artificial teeth 30 are adjusted. However, the wax denture making step S12 is not particularly limited as long as the wax denture 80 that has been tried on and approved by the patient is made. In the wax denture measurement step S14, the three-dimensional shape of the adjusted wax denture 80 is measured by the three-dimensional scanner 250. Fig. 11 is a perspective view showing an image of STL data 80D of the wax denture 80 created from the three-dimensional shape of the wax denture 80. The three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 includes data 30D of the artificial tooth 30 of a suitable shape obtained by trying it on the patient.

[0043] In the integral model production step S15, the wax denture 80 is attached to the intraoral model 70 to produce the integral model 90. In the integral model measurement step S16, the three-dimensional shape of the integral model 90 is measured by the three-dimensional scanner 250. Fig. 12 is a perspective view showing an image of the STL data 90D of the integral model 90 created from the three-dimensional shape of the integral model 90.

[0044] In the data synthesis step S17, the three-dimensional data 70D of the intraoral model 70 and the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 are synthesized via the three-dimensional data 90D of the one-piece model 90 to generate three-dimensional data 10D of the plate denture 10 including the three-dimensional data 71D of the oral cavity surface 71 of the intraoral model 70 and the three-dimensional data 30D of the artificial teeth 30 of the wax denture 80. As shown in Fig. 9, the data synthesis step S17 includes step S17A of data acquisition processing, step S17B of first alignment processing, step S17C of second alignment processing, step S17D of marginal portion deletion processing, step S17E of smoothing processing, step S17F of marginal portion extension processing, step S17G of oral cavity surface formation processing, and step S17H of non-manifold deletion processing.

[0045] In the data acquisition process of step S17A, the three-dimensional data 70D of the intraoral model 70, the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80, and the three-dimensional data 90D of the one-piece model 90 are imported into the CAD device 100A. In step S17B, a first alignment process is performed to align the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 and the three-dimensional data 90D of the one-piece model 90.

[0046] In the first alignment process in step S17B, the operator selects automatic processing or semi-automatic processing in step S17B1. If the selection in step S17B1 is YES (if automatic processing is selected), the operator presses a button to execute rough fit processing in step S17B2. This causes the rough fit processing to be performed. By the rough fit processing, the position of the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 and the position of the corresponding part of the three-dimensional data 90D of the one-piece model 90 roughly coincide. In the following step S17B3, the operator presses a button to execute precision fit processing. This causes the precision fit processing to be performed. By the precision fit processing, the position of the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 and the position of the corresponding part of the three-dimensional data 90D of the one-piece model 90 coincide. This causes the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 to be aligned with the three-dimensional data 90D of the one-piece model 90.

[0047] If the selection in step S17B1 is NO (if semi-automatic processing is selected), in step S17B4, the operator of the CAD device 100A operates the operation screen to specify a plurality of points on the three-dimensional data 90D of the integrated model 90. The number of points to be specified is preferably three or more. However, the number of points to be specified is not particularly limited. The specified points are selected from a common portion between the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 and the three-dimensional data 90D of the integrated model 90. The specified points are, for example, the front teeth, right molars, and left molars of the artificial tooth 30, similar to the points P1 to P3 in FIG. 12. The CAD device 100A automatically detects a plurality of points corresponding to the plurality of points specified on the operation screen from the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80. In this automatic detection, rough fit processing and precise fit processing are performed. That is, here, after step S17B4, steps S17B2 and S17B3 are performed.

[0048] In step S17C, a second alignment process is performed to align the three-dimensional data 70D of the intraoral model 70 with the three-dimensional data 90D of the one-piece model 90. In the second alignment process, the three-dimensional data 70D of the intraoral model 70 and the three-dimensional data 90D of the one-piece model 90 are automatically aligned. Note that step S17C may be performed at any timing before the oral cavity surface formation process in step S17G.

[0049] In the margin deletion process of step S17D, three-dimensional data 81D of the margin 81 is deleted from the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80. Fig. 13 is a perspective view showing an image of STL data (margin deleted data) 80D1 of the wax denture 80 after margin deletion process. As shown in Fig. 13, the deletion trace of the three-dimensional data 81D of the margin 81 constitutes the base edge (boundary line) of the margin deleted data 80D1.

[0050] In the smoothing process in step S17E, a process is performed to smooth out deletion marks in the edge portion 81 of the edge-deleted data 80D1.

[0051] In the margin extension process in step S17F, a filling portion 82D including the oral cavity surface 71 of the intraoral model 70 is added to the STL data generated by the margin removal process and the smoothing process. FIG. 14 is a perspective view showing an image of STL data (extended data) 80D2 of the wax denture 80 after the margin extension process. As shown in FIG. 14, the filling portion 82D is piled up larger than the oral cavity surface 71 (see FIG. 10). This makes it possible to form the oral cavity surface 71 by cutting the filling portion 82D on the data in step S17G.

[0052] In the oral cavity surface formation process in step S17G, a part of the filling portion 82D is deleted so that the oral cavity surface 71 of the intraoral model 70 is formed based on the three-dimensional data 70D of the intraoral model 70 aligned with the one-piece model 90. As a result, the three-dimensional data 71D of the oral cavity surface 71 of the intraoral model 70 is synthesized with the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80. In the oral cavity surface formation process, for example, Boolean operations are used. Unnecessary parts (non-manifolds) separated from the wax denture 80 (the wax denture 80 to which the oral cavity surface 71 has been added) by the oral cavity surface formation process are deleted in the non-manifold deletion process in step S17H. As a result, the STL data 10D of the plate denture 10 is completed.

[0053] [Effects of this embodiment] In the following, the effects that can be achieved by the CAD device 100A (CAD program 100) and the manufacturing method for the plate denture 10 according to this embodiment will be described.

[0054] The CAD program 100 for designing a removable denture in this embodiment is configured to cause a computer to realize: a data acquisition unit 110 that acquires three-dimensional data 70D of an intraoral model 70 created based on the shape of the patient's oral cavity surface, three-dimensional data 80D of a wax denture 80 including artificial teeth 30 adjusted based on the patient's try-in, and three-dimensional data 90D of an integrated model 90 in which the wax denture 80 is attached to the intraoral model 70; and a data creation unit 120 that synthesizes the three-dimensional data 70D of the intraoral model 70 and the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 via the three-dimensional data 90D of the integrated model 90 to create three-dimensional data 10D of a removable denture 10 including three-dimensional data 71D of the oral cavity surface 71 of the intraoral model 70 and three-dimensional data 30D of the artificial teeth 30 of the wax denture 80.

[0055] According to the CAD program 100, it is possible to create three-dimensional data 10D of the plate denture 10 having three-dimensional data 71D of the oral cavity surface 71 of the intraoral model 70 and three-dimensional data 30D of the artificial teeth 30 of the wax denture 80. The intraoral model 70 is manufactured based on the shape of the oral cavity surface 71 of the patient, so it fits the oral cavity of the patient. In addition, the artificial teeth 30 of the wax denture 80 are adjusted based on the try-in of the patient, so it fits the bite of the patient. Therefore, according to the CAD program 100 for designing a plate denture according to this embodiment, it is possible to design a plate denture 10 that fits the patient. The three-dimensional data 90D of the one-piece model 90 has inaccurate parts due to the fact that the peripheral part of the intraoral model 70 and the peripheral part 81 of the wax denture 80 overlap in the one-piece model 90, the scanning has blind spots, and so on. Therefore, the three-dimensional data 90D of the one-piece model 90 is not directly used as the three-dimensional data 10D of the plate denture 10. The three-dimensional data 90D of the integrated model 90 is used to align the three-dimensional data 70D of the intraoral model 70 and the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80.

[0056] The manufacturing method of the plate denture 10 according to this embodiment includes an intraoral model making step S11 in which the shape of the patient's oral cavity surface is taken and an intraoral model 70 is made based on the taken shape of the oral cavity surface, a wax denture making step S12 in which a wax denture 80 is made by attaching artificial teeth 30 to the denture base 20 made based on the intraoral model 70 and the shape of the artificial teeth 30 is adjusted by trying the wax denture 80 on the patient, a step S13 in which the three-dimensional shape of the intraoral model 70 is measured by the three-dimensional scanner 250, and the three-dimensional shape of the adjusted wax denture 80 is measured by the three-dimensional scanner 250. the step S14 of measuring the shape of the wax denture 80; the step S15 of attaching the wax denture 80 to the intraoral model 70 to produce an integral model 90; the step S16 of measuring the three-dimensional shape of the integral model 90 by the three-dimensional scanner 250; and the step S17 of synthesizing the three-dimensional data 70D of the intraoral model 70 and the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 via the three-dimensional data 90D of the integral model 90 to create three-dimensional data 10D of the plate denture 10 including the three-dimensional data 71D of the oral cavity surface 71 of the intraoral model 70 and the three-dimensional data 30D of the artificial teeth 30 of the wax denture 80. The manufacturing method of the plate denture 10 according to this embodiment includes step S20 of producing an object to be cut 40 including a denture base material 21 forming the denture base 20 and artificial teeth 30 embedded in the denture base material 21, and step S30 of cutting out the plate denture 10 having the denture base 20 and the artificial teeth 30 from the object to be cut 40 based on three-dimensional data 10D of the created plate denture 10. By this method, a plate denture 10 that fits the patient can be manufactured.

[0057] In a typical conventional method such as that described in Patent Document 1, the dimensions and shape of the denture base change due to shrinkage of the denture base material when it hardens. Therefore, without the skill to consider the effect of shrinkage of the denture base material, it is difficult to manufacture a denture with a plate that fits the patient (for example, fits both the occlusal surface and mucosal surface of the patient). In addition, a typical conventional method such as that described in Patent Document 1 requires many steps, such as an embedding step in which a wax denture is placed in a container together with an intraoral model and fixed by pouring in an embedding material such as plaster, and a dewaxing step in which the denture base in the container is melted by heat after the embedding material has hardened, and requires a great deal of time and labor.

[0058] In the method described in Patent Document 2, it is not necessary to consider the effect of shrinkage of denture base materials. However, when designing a denture on a CAD device, the patient is not directly tested and the occlusion is performed using a virtual articulator, so the occlusion may not match the patient's occlusion. In that case, the denture that is created does not fit the patient. In such a case, manual adjustment of the fit is required. Furthermore, even if the artificial teeth are commercially available, they cannot be used unless they are registered in the CAD device 100A.

[0059] In contrast to these conventional methods, in the method according to the present embodiment, three-dimensional data 10D of the denture 10 is created by combining three-dimensional data 71D of the oral cavity surface 71 of the intraoral model 70 and three-dimensional data 30D of the artificial teeth 30 that have been tried in. The denture 10 manufactured from the three-dimensional data 10D is not affected by the shrinkage of the denture base material 21, and the occlusion of the artificial teeth 30 is also confirmed and adjusted by the try-in. Furthermore, in the method according to the present embodiment, there is no need to perform the embedding process or the dewaxing process. Therefore, according to the method according to the present embodiment, the denture 10 that fits the patient can be manufactured more easily than in the past. In addition, the dimensions of the artificial teeth 30 are measured by the three-dimensional scanner 250. Therefore, even artificial teeth 30 that are not registered in the CAD device 100A can be used.

[0060] In this embodiment, the data creation unit 120 of the CAD device 100A includes a first position processing unit 130 that aligns the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 with the three-dimensional data 90D of the integrated model 90 so that a plurality of points (e.g., points P11-P13 in FIG. 11) designated in the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 coincide with a plurality of points (e.g., points P1-P3 in FIG. 12) designated in the three-dimensional data 90D of the integrated model 90. The data creation unit 120 also includes a second position processing unit 140 that aligns the three-dimensional data 70D of the intraoral model 70 with the three-dimensional data 90D of the integrated model 90 so that a plurality of points (e.g., points P14-P16 in FIG. 10) designated in the three-dimensional data 70D of the intraoral model 70 coincide with a plurality of points (e.g., points P4-P6 in FIG. 12) designated in the three-dimensional data 90D of the integrated model 90. With this configuration, the three-dimensional data 70D of the intraoral model 70 and the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 can be aligned via the positional relationship between the three-dimensional data 90D of the one-piece model 90 and the three-dimensional data 70D of the intraoral model 70, and the positional relationship between the three-dimensional data 90D of the one-piece model 90 and the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80.

[0061] In this embodiment, the first position processing unit 130 of the CAD device 100A is provided with an automatic processing unit 131 that automatically specifies a plurality of points (e.g., points P1-P3 in FIG. 12) from the three-dimensional data 80D or 90D of one of the wax denture 80 and the one-piece model 90, and automatically searches for a plurality of points (e.g., points P11-P13 in FIG. 11) corresponding to the automatically specified plurality of points from the three-dimensional data 90D or 80D of the other of the wax denture 80 and the one-piece model 90. With this configuration, the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 and the three-dimensional data 90D of the one-piece model 90 can be aligned without the work of an operator.

[0062] The automatic processing unit 131 includes a rough fit processing unit 131A that aligns the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 with the three-dimensional data 90D of the one-piece model 90 so that the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 approaches the corresponding location of the three-dimensional data 90D of the one-piece model 90, and a precise fit processing unit 131B that automatically designates a plurality of points (e.g., points P1-P3 in FIG. 12) from the three-dimensional data 80D or 90D of one of the wax denture 80 and the one-piece model 90 after the alignment by the rough fit processing unit 131A, and automatically searches for a plurality of points (e.g., points P11-P13 in FIG. 11) corresponding to the automatically designated plurality of points from the three-dimensional data 90D or 80D of the other of the wax denture 80 and the one-piece model 90. According to this configuration, the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 and the three-dimensional data 90D of the one-piece model 90 are roughly aligned by the rough fit processing, and then the precise fit processing is performed. Therefore, the amount of information processing related to the precision fit process can be reduced.

[0063] In this embodiment, the first position processing unit 130 includes a designation screen configuration unit 132A that configures an operation screen that allows multiple points to be designated from the three-dimensional data 80D or 90D of one of the wax denture 80 and the integral model 90, and a fit processing unit 132B that automatically searches for multiple points corresponding to the multiple points designated by the operation screen from the three-dimensional data 90D or 80D of the other of the wax denture 80 and the integral model 90. According to this configuration, the operator of the CAD device 100A selects points to be used for alignment (for example, it is possible to select points having a characteristic shape), and the CAD device 100A finds the corresponding points while reducing the amount of information processing of the alignment process by the CAD device 100A. This makes it possible to achieve accurate alignment. In this embodiment, the operator designates multiple points on the integral model 90, but multiple points on the wax denture 80 may be designated.

[0064] In this embodiment, the data creation unit 120 of the CAD device 100A includes a deletion processing unit 150 that deletes three-dimensional data 81D of the peripheral portion 81 from the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80, an extension processing unit 170 that adds a filling portion 82D to the three-dimensional data (peripheral portion deleted data 80D1) generated by the deletion processing unit 150, and an oral cavity surface formation processing unit 180 that synthesizes the three-dimensional data 70D of the oral cavity surface 71 of the intraoral model 70 with the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 by deleting a part of the filling portion 82D so as to form the oral cavity surface 71 of the intraoral model 70 based on the three-dimensional data 70D of the intraoral model 70 aligned with the integrated model 90. In this embodiment, the peripheral portion 81 of the wax denture 80 is once deleted from the data, and then a filling portion 82D capable of forming the oral cavity surface 71 is piled up, and the filling portion 82D is removed (for example, by Boolean operation), thereby adding the three-dimensional data 71D of the oral cavity surface 71 to the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80. Such processing is compatible with general CAD programs, and is easy to add to conventional CAD programs.

[0065] The CAM program 200 converts the three-dimensional data 10D of the denture 10 created by the CAD program 100 into processing data 60D for a cutting machine 60 that produces the denture 10 by cutting. The CAM program 200 allows the cutting machine 60 to produce the denture 10.

[0066] [Other embodiments] The CAD program for designing a plate denture, the CAM program, and the manufacturing method for a plate denture according to a preferred embodiment have been described above. However, the above-mentioned embodiment is merely a preferred example, and the present invention can be carried out in other embodiments.

[0067] For example, in the above embodiment, the CAD program 100 was configured so that the operator specifies multiple points from the three-dimensional data 80D or 90D of one of the wax denture 80 and the integral model 90, and the corresponding multiple points of the other of the wax denture 80 and the integral model 90 are automatically detected. However, the method of aligning the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 and the three-dimensional data 90D of the integral model 90 is not limited to this. For example, the first position processing unit 130 of the CAD device 100A may be configured so that the operator can specify one or more points in both the three-dimensional data 80D of the wax denture 80 and the three-dimensional data 90D of the integral model 90. In such a case, for example, the rough fit process may be a process of bringing the points on the three-dimensional data 80D and the points on the integral model 90D specified by the operator closer to each other (or may be made to match when there is only one point each). The same applies to the second alignment process.

[0068] There is no particular limitation on the method of obtaining the denture 10 from the three-dimensional data 10D of the denture 10 designed by the CAD device 100A. The denture 10 may be manufactured, for example, by mounting a mold (a mold provided with arrangement grooves for the artificial teeth 30) created from the three-dimensional data 10D of the denture 10 by a three-dimensional modeling device (three-dimensional printer) or a cutting machine 60, etc., on a molding die and injecting the denture base material 21 into it.

[0069] Unless otherwise specified, the embodiments do not limit the present invention. [Explanation of symbols]
