AI Technical Summary
Conventional fishing rod connection structures fail to securely fix the ferrule to the blank holding part, especially when the maximum bending moment changes significantly during fishing, leading to potential loosening of the coupling nut due to boat rocking or engine vibration.
The fishing rod incorporates a butt body with a ferrule holding portion, a first nut for fastening the ferrule, and a second nut to prevent loosening of the first nut, ensuring a secure connection even under varying bending moments.
This configuration allows for selective and secure attachment of multiple fishing rod bodies to the butt, maintaining the connection state even when the bending moment applied to the fishing rod changes drastically, thus preventing damage to the butt.

Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to the structure of a fishing rod having a fishing rod body and a butt, and more particularly to a structure for connecting the fishing rod body and the butt.
Background Art
[0002] For example, in boat fishing, a separate type of fishing rod having a fishing rod body and a butt may be used. In the separate type of fishing rod, the fishing rod body is detachably connected to the butt via a connection structure. By preparing a plurality of fishing rod bodies in advance, the angler can select a desired fishing rod body according to various targets (fishing), and can change the strength and tone of the fishing rod (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
[0003] In this specification, the "butt" means a component of a fishing rod, and is clearly different from the so-called butt portion of a blank. That is, the "butt" is a member that holds the fishing rod body and is intended to be gripped by the angler to operate the fishing rod during actual fishing, and is generally a functional component equipped with a reel seat and a grip.
[0004] In a separate type of fishing rod, the fishing rod body has a blank and a ferrule (joint portion, connection portion) provided at the rear end of the blank. On the other hand, the butt has a blank holding portion, and the fishing rod body is fixed to the butt by the blank holding portion holding the ferrule via a connection structure. In the conventional connection structure, the ferrule is inserted into the blank holding portion and fixed to the blank holding portion via a coupling nut. This coupling nut is screwed onto the blank holding portion, and the angler can fix the ferrule to the blank holding portion by tightening the coupling nut.
[0005] By the way, since the maximum bending moment applied to the fishing rod body and the butt changes according to the size of the target, the ferrule needs to be securely fixed to the blank holding part. For this reason, conventionally, a packing having elasticity is inserted between the ferrule and the butt (see, for example, Patent Document 2). When the coupling nut is tightened, the packing is elastically deformed to prevent the coupling nut from loosening.

Summary of the Invention
Problems to be Solved by the Invention
[0007] However, since the maximum bending moment changes greatly depending on the target, the conventional measure of preventing the coupling nut from loosening by only the presence of the packing is not sufficient. In addition, generally in boat fishing, the fishing rod may be fixed to the side of the boat while sailing on the sea for reasons such as moving the fishing ground. At that time, the coupling nut may become loose due to the rocking of the boat or the vibration of the engine. As a result, the attachment of the ferrule to the blank holding part may become loose, and the butt may be damaged.
[0008] Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a fishing rod in which a plurality of fishing rod bodies are selectively and securely fixed to the butt.
Means for Solving the Problems
[0009] (1) In order to solve the above problems, the fishing rod according to the first aspect of the present invention includes a fishing rod body having a ferrule portion and a butt body that detachably holds the ferrule portion. The butt body includes a ferrule holding portion into which the ferrule portion is inserted and removed, a first nut that is screwed into the ferrule holding portion and fastens the ferrule portion inserted into the ferrule portion holding portion to the ferrule holding portion, and a second nut that prevents loosening of the first nut.
[0010] According to this configuration, the ferrule portion of the fishing rod body is held by the ferrule holding portion of the butt body, so that the fishing rod body is connected to the butt body. Therefore, the angler can selectively apply a desired fishing rod body among a plurality of fishing rod bodies having different specifications such as tone to the butt body. When the first nut is screwed into the ferrule holding portion, the ferrule portion is fastened to the ferrule holding portion, and the fishing rod body is fixed to the butt body. Since the second nut prevents the first nut from loosening, the connection state between the fishing rod body and the butt body is maintained even when the bending moment applied to the fishing rod changes drastically.
[0011] (2) In the fishing rod according to the second aspect according to the first aspect of the present invention, the inner diameter of the second nut is different from the inner diameter of the first nut.
[0012] In this configuration, since the natural frequency of the first nut is different from the natural frequency of the second nut, the effect of preventing the first nut from loosening is improved.
[0013] (3) In the fishing rod according to the third aspect according to the first aspect or the second aspect of the present invention, the butt body includes a reel seat having a fixing nut, and the first nut is screwed into a screw portion into which the fixing nut is screwed.
[0014] In this configuration, a fishing line reel is set on the reel sheet, and by operating a fixing nut screwed onto the screw portion, the fishing line reel is fastened to the reel sheet. Since the first nut is screwed onto the screw portion, the reel sheet also serves as a ferrule holding portion. That is, the structure of the ferrule holding portion is simplified.
[0015] (4) In the fishing rod of the fourth aspect according to any one of the first to third aspects of the present invention, the second nut is screwed onto the ferrule portion.
[0016] Since the ferrule portion is held by the ferrule holding portion, the inner diameter of the second nut is generally different from the inner diameter of the first nut. Therefore, it is easy to prevent the first nut from loosening.
[0017] (5) In the fishing rod of the fifth aspect according to any one of the first to fourth aspects of the present invention, the first nut and the second nut are in a reverse thread relationship with each other.
[0018] In this configuration, the effect of preventing the first nut from loosening by the second nut becomes more prominent.
[0019] (6) To solve the above problems, the connection structure of the sixth aspect of the present invention is applied to a fishing rod including a fishing rod body having a ferrule portion and a butt body. The ferrule portion is inserted into the butt body, and the ferrule portion is fastened to the butt body by a first nut screwed onto the butt body, and a second nut for preventing loosening of the first nut is provided.
[0020] According to this configuration, since the ferrule portion of the fishing rod main body is held by the ferrule holding portion of the bat main body, the fishing rod main body is connected to the bat main body. Therefore, the angler can selectively apply a desired fishing rod main body among a plurality of fishing rod main bodies having different specifications such as a feel to the bat main body. The first nut is screwed into the ferrule holding portion, and the ferrule portion is fastened to the ferrule holding portion. Since the second nut prevents the loosening of the first nut, the connection state of the fishing rod main body and the bat main body is maintained even when the bending moment applied to the fishing rod changes drastically.
[0021] (7) In the connection structure of the seventh aspect according to the sixth aspect of the present invention, the inner diameter of the second nut is different from the inner diameter of the first nut.
[0022] In this configuration, since the natural frequency of the first nut is different from the natural frequency of the second nut, the loosening prevention effect of the first nut is improved.
[0023] (8) In the connection structure of the eighth aspect according to the sixth or seventh aspect of the present invention, the second nut is screwed onto the ferrule portion.
[0024] Since the ferrule portion is held by the ferrule holding portion, the inner diameter of the second nut is generally different from the inner diameter of the first nut. Therefore, it is easy to prevent the first nut from loosening.
[0025] (9) In the connection structure of the ninth aspect according to any one of the sixth to eighth aspects of the present invention, the first nut and the second nut are in a reverse thread relationship with each other.
[0026] In this configuration, the loosening prevention effect of the first nut by the second nut becomes more prominent.

Embodiments for Carrying out the Invention
[0028] Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings as appropriate. It should be noted that this embodiment is merely one aspect of the fishing rod according to the present invention, and it goes without saying that the embodiment may be changed within the range that does not change the gist of the present invention.
[0029] 1. Schematic Configuration and Characteristic Points of the Fishing Rod
[0030] FIG. 1 is a front view of a fishing rod 30 according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 2 is an enlarged view of the main part of the fishing rod 30, and FIG. 3 is an enlarged sectional view of the main part of the fishing rod 30.
[0031] As shown in FIG. 1, the fishing rod 30 is used, for example, during boat fishing, and includes a butt body 31 and a fishing rod body 32. The fishing rod body 32 is detachably provided on the butt body 31 via a butt - blank connection structure 40 (see FIGS. 4 and 5). By the butt - blank connection structure 40, the fishing rod body 32 is inserted into and removed from the butt body 31 along the direction of the central axis 41. As a result, other types of rod bodies other than the fishing rod body 32 can be exchanged with respect to the butt body 31.
[0032] The bat body 31 is provided with a reel sheet 39 (corresponding to the "ferrule holding part" described in the claims). FIGS. 2 and 3 show in detail the structure of the reel sheet 39 in a state where the fishing rod body 32 is connected to the bat body 31. The reel sheet 39 holds a fishing line reel (hereinafter simply referred to as a "reel") not shown in the drawings.
[0033] The feature of the fishing rod 30 according to this embodiment is that the bat body 31 is provided with a plurality of fastening members (in this embodiment, the first nut 37 and the second nut 87). As will be described later, the first nut 37 fixes the fishing rod body 32 to the bat body 31, and the second nut 87 prevents the first nut 37 from loosening. Thereby, even if a large bending moment acts on the fishing rod body 32 during actual fishing, the fishing rod body 32 is securely fixed to the bat body 31.
[0034] 2. Fishing rod body
[0035] The fishing rod body 32 has a blank 34 formed in an elongated cylindrical shape, a ferrule 36 (corresponding to the "ferrule part" described in the claims) attached to the rear end portion 35 of the blank 34, and the first nut 37 and the second nut 87 for fixing the ferrule 36 to the bat body 31. In this embodiment, the blank is a single member. Therefore, the fishing rod body 32 is of a so-called one-piece type, and a line guide (not shown) is provided at a predetermined position in the longitudinal direction. However, the blank 34 may be constituted by connecting a plurality of members via a required joint structure. Note that the blank 34 is typically composed of a resin reinforced with carbon fiber, and a so-called prepreg is wound around a mandrel and baked.
[0036] FIGS. 4 and 5 are exploded perspective views of the main parts of the fishing rod 30. These figures show in detail the internal structure in the reel sheet 39 portion and the bat - blank connection structure 40.
[0037] As shown in FIGS. 1, 4, and 5, the ferrule 36 is formed in a cylindrical shape having a bottom. That is, a hole 85 is formed along the central axis 41 from the base end surface 33 of the ferrule 36. This hole 85 has an opening in the base end surface 33 and extends toward the tip end surface 42 (see FIG. 5) side of the ferrule 36. In the present embodiment, the ferrule 36 is made of metal (typically an aluminum alloy). However, the ferrule 36 may be made of resin or the like. The inner diameter of the hole 85 corresponds to the outer diameter of the rear end portion 35 of the blank 34. The rear end portion 35 of the blank 34 is inserted into the ferrule 36 without a gap, and the ferrule 36 is fixed to the blank 34 by an adhesive or other fixing means.
[0038] As shown in FIG. 5, a groove 43 is provided in the tip end surface 42 of the ferrule 36. The shape of the inner wall surface of this groove 43 is formed in a V shape as shown in the figure, and extends straight in the radial direction of the tip end surface 42.
[0039] A flange 44 is formed on the base end side of the ferrule 36. With this flange 44 as a boundary, the ferrule 36 is partitioned into a front portion 88 and a rear portion 89. In the present embodiment, the outer diameter of the front portion 88 is set to be larger than the outer diameter of the rear portion 89. However, the outer diameter of the front portion 88 is not particularly limited. A male thread 90 is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the front portion 88. A second nut 87 is screwed onto this male thread 90. In the present embodiment, the male thread 90 has a reverse thread relationship with the male thread 54 provided on the reel sheet body 45 described later. The effects thereof will be described later. In the present embodiment, the outer diameter of the front portion 88 of the ferrule 36 is set to be smaller than the outer diameter of the reel sheet body 45 described later. The effects thereof will also be described later. However, the male thread 90 and the male thread 54 do not have to have a reverse thread relationship, and the relationship between the outer diameter of the front portion 88 of the ferrule 36 and the outer diameter of the reel sheet body 45 is not particularly limited.
[0040] The first nut 37 is screwed onto the reel sheet body 45. A seating portion 64 is formed on the end face of the first nut 37. The flange 44 abuts against this seating portion 64. When the first nut 37 is screwed onto the reel sheet body 45, the seating portion 64 abuts against the flange 44. When the first nut 37 is further tightened, the ferrule 36 is pressed by the first nut 37 and pushed into the inside of the reel sheet 39. The second nut 87 is screwed onto the front portion 88 of the ferrule 36. When the second nut 87 is tightened, its end face 77 presses the first nut 37. Regarding the structure of the first nut 37, it is only necessary that the seating portion 64 is formed, and it is not particularly limited. The structure of the second nut 87 is also not particularly limited, and any structure may be used as long as the end face 77 abuts against the first nut 37.
[0041] 3. Reel Sheet
[0042] As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the reel sheet 39 includes a reel sheet body 45, a holding pipe 46 and a positioning plate 47, a fixed hood 48 and a movable hood 49 for fixing the legs of the reel, a tightening nut 50 (corresponding to the "fixing nut" described in the claims) and a lock nut 51. This reel sheet 39 can reliably hold the legs of the reel by the fixed hood 48 and the movable hood 49, and hold the ferrule 36 to firmly fix the fishing rod body 32 to the butt body 31.
[0043] The reel sheet body 45 is formed in a cylindrical shape and is made of metal (typically an aluminum alloy). In the present embodiment, the outer diameter of the reel sheet body 45 is larger than the outer diameter of the front portion 88 of the ferrule 36 as described above. A sheet surface 53 is formed by a part of the outer peripheral surface 52 of the reel sheet body 45. This sheet surface 53 is configured by changing the curvature of the upper part of the reel sheet body 45 in FIGS. 4 and 5. The curvature of the sheet surface 53 is set so that the legs of the reel are stably placed. The sheet surface 53 extends along the axial direction 41, and the legs of the reel can stably slide on the sheet surface 53 along the axial direction 41.
[0044] A male screw 54 (corresponding to the "threaded portion" described in the claims) is formed on the outer peripheral surface 52 of the reel sheet body 45. This male screw 54 is formed in a region from the other end 55 of the reel sheet body 45 toward the one end portion 56 side. The first nut 37, the tightening nut 50, and the lock nut 51 are adapted to be screwed onto the male screw 54. A spline 65 is formed on the inner peripheral surface of the reel sheet body 45 (see FIG. 5). The effect of forming this spline 65 will be described later.
[0045] A fixed hood 48 is provided at one end portion 56 of the reel sheet body 45. This fixed hood 48 is also made of metal and is integrally formed with the reel sheet body 45 in this embodiment. The fixed hood 48 is formed in a ring shape, and a leg accommodating portion 57 (see FIG. 4) is provided on its inner peripheral surface. This leg accommodating portion 57 is disposed opposite to the sheet surface 53, and accommodates and holds one side of the legs of the reel placed on this sheet surface 53.
[0046] The movable hood 49 is provided on the other end 55 side of the reel sheet body 45. This movable hood 49 is also made of metal (typically an aluminum alloy). The movable hood 49 is also formed in a ring shape similar to the fixed hood 48, and a leg accommodating portion 58 (see FIG. 5) is provided on its inner peripheral surface. The side wall portions 59, 60 partitioning the leg accommodating portion 58 are adapted to engage with the side edges 61, 62 of the sheet surface 53. Thereby, the movable hood 49 is fitted to the reel sheet body 45 in a state where rotation in the circumferential direction is prevented.
[0047] When the movable hood 49 is fitted onto the other end 55 side of the reel sheet body 45, the leg accommodating portion 58 and the sheet surface 53 face each other. Moreover, the movable hood 49 can slide along the direction of the central axis 41 in a state where the leg accommodating portion 58 and the sheet surface 53 face each other. This leg accommodating portion 58 has the same shape as the leg accommodating portion 57 and can accommodate and hold the other side of the legs of the reel placed on the sheet surface 53.
[0048] The clamping nut 50 is adjacent to the movable hood 49 and is disposed on the other end 55 side of the reel sheet body 45 with respect to the movable hood 49. As described above, the clamping nut 50 is screwed onto the male thread 54 of the reel sheet body 45. The clamping nut 50 is provided with an abutting ring 63. This abutting ring 63 is integrally formed with the clamping nut 50 and protrudes toward the movable hood 49 side. Therefore, when the clamping nut 50 is tightened, the abutting ring 63 presses the end face of the movable hood 49, and the movable hood 49 slides toward the fixed hood 48 side along the central axis 41. As a result, the legs of the reel are clamped by the fixed hood 48 and the movable hood 49, and the reel is fixed on the sheet surface 53. The lock nut 51 is adjacent to the clamping nut 50. The lock nut 51 is screwed onto the male thread 54, and when the lock nut 51 is tightened, it presses the clamping nut 50 to restrict the rotation of the clamping nut 50. That is, the clamping nut 50 is fixed by the lock nut 51.
[0049] 4. Holding Pipe and Positioning Plate
[0050] The holding pipe 46 is formed in a cylindrical shape with both ends open. The holding pipe 46 is made of a resin reinforced with carbon fiber in this embodiment. Therefore, the holding pipe 46 is extremely lightweight and has high bending rigidity. Similar to the blank 34, the holding pipe 46 is also formed by winding a so-called prepreg around a mandrel and baking it. One end 66 side of the holding pipe 46 is fitted into the other end 55 side of the reel sheet body 45 and inserted into the reel sheet body 45 along the central axis 41. The outer diameter of the holding pipe 46 corresponds to the inner diameter of the reel sheet body 45, and for this reason, the holding pipe 46 is press-fitted into the reel sheet body 45. As described above, since the spline 65 is formed on the inner peripheral surface of the reel sheet body 45, the press-fitted holding pipe 46 is surely fixed to the reel sheet body 45. Note that the spline 65 may be omitted, or the holding pipe 46 may be integrally formed with the reel sheet body 45.
[0051] The holding pipe 46 is provided with a through hole 67 (see FIG. 4). This through hole 67 penetrates the holding pipe 46 in the radial direction. This through hole 67 is provided at a position a predetermined distance from one end of the holding pipe 46. That is, the position of the through hole 67 is the position where the positioning plate 47 described later is fixed and the position where the tip surface 42 of the ferrule 36 is positioned.
[0052] The inner diameter of the holding pipe 46 corresponds to the outer diameter of the rear portion 89 of the ferrule 36. A predetermined fitting relationship is established between the inner diameter of the holding pipe 46 and the outer diameter of the rear portion 89. Therefore, the ferrule 36 is fitted into the holding pipe 46 without a gap. The length of the holding pipe 46 (dimension along the central axis 41) corresponds to the length of the reel sheet body 45. Therefore, the holding pipe 46 covers the region of the inner peripheral surface of the reel sheet body 45 from the other end 55 of the reel sheet body 45 to the portion where the fixing hood 48 is arranged. Thereby, the rigidity is improved over the entire direction along the central axis 41 of the reel sheet body 45.
[0053] The positioning plate 47 is formed in a disk shape. In the present embodiment, the positioning plate 47 is made of metal (typically an aluminum alloy). The outer diameter of the positioning plate 47 corresponds to the inner diameter of the holding pipe 46, and a predetermined fitting relationship is established between the outer diameter of the positioning plate 47 and the inner diameter of the holding pipe 46. Therefore, the positioning plate 47 is fitted into the holding pipe 46 without a gap, and the outer peripheral surface 68 of the positioning plate 47 abuts against the inner peripheral surface 69 of the holding pipe 46 along the circumferential direction.
[0054] A ridge 70 is formed on the surface 76 of the positioning plate 47. This ridge 70 extends straight along the radial direction of the positioning plate 47. The ridge 70 is formed by raising the center of the positioning plate 47 toward the other end portion 72 side of the holding pipe 46, and the cross-sectional shape of the ridge 70 is substantially triangular. Note that the cross-sectional shape of the ridge 70 is not limited to a triangle and may be other shapes. A hole 71 is provided in the longitudinal direction of the ridge 70. This hole 71 penetrates the ridge 70.
[0055] FIG. 6 is a longitudinal sectional view of the main part of the holding pipe 46.
[0056] As shown in FIGS. 4 and 6, the positioning plate 47 is fitted into the holding pipe 46, and with the holes 71 and the through holes 67 aligned, the fixing pin 73 is fitted along the direction of the arrow 74. As shown in FIG. 6, a seating portion 75 is formed on the inner peripheral surface 69 of the holding pipe 46. This seating portion 75 is formed by reducing the inner diameter of the holding pipe 46. A step is formed on the inner peripheral surface 69 of the holding pipe 46 by this seating portion 75. The positioning plate 47 abuts against the seating portion 75 and is stably positioned. In the present embodiment, with the positioning plate 47 positioned on the seating portion 75, it is securely fixed to the holding pipe 46 with an adhesive or the like. Of course, the said seating portion 75 may be omitted.
[0057] The fixing pin 73 is formed in a columnar shape and is made of metal. The outer diameter of the fixing pin 73 corresponds to the inner diameters of the holes 71 and the through holes 67. By pushing the fixing pin 73 into the through hole 67 from the outside of the holding pipe 46, it penetrates the holding pipe 46 and the positioning plate 47. The length of the fixing pin 73 corresponds to the outer diameter of the holding pipe 46. Therefore, with the fixing pin 73 pushed into the holding pipe 46, the end face of the fixing pin 73 will be located on the outer peripheral surface of the holding pipe 46. Incidentally, with the positioning plate 47 disposed within the holding pipe 46, the holding pipe 46 is press-fitted into the reel sheet body 45.
[0058] As shown in FIG. 1, a grip 78 is provided adjacent to the reel sheet 39. This grip 78 is disposed on the right side of the reel sheet 39 in the same figure. Since the structure of the grip 77 is known, a detailed description thereof will be omitted.
[0059] 5. Procedure for attaching and detaching the rod body
[0060] FIG. 7 is a perspective view of the bat - blank connection structure 40. This figure shows the procedure when the fishing rod body 32 is attached to and detached from the bat body 31.
[0061] The reel sheet 39 provided on the bat body 31 holds the reel. Specifically, the legs of the reel are arranged on the sheet surface 53, and when the tightening nut 50 is tightened, the legs of the reel are clamped by the fixed hood 48 and the movable hood 49. Further, when the lock nut 51 is tightened, the loosening of the tightening nut 50 is prevented.
[0062] The fishing rod body 32 is attached to the bat body 31. Specifically, the ferrule 36 provided on the fishing rod body 32 is inserted into the holding pipe 46 provided on the bat body 31 along the central axis 41. When the ferrule 36 enters the holding pipe 46, the tip surface 42 of the ferrule 36 abuts against the positioning plate 47 arranged in the holding pipe 46 (see FIGS. 4 and 5). In this state, the convex strip 70 (see FIG. 4) of the positioning plate 47 is fitted into the groove 43 provided on the tip surface 42 of the ferrule 36.
[0063] When the first nut 37 is screwed into the male thread 54 of the reel sheet body 45, as described above, the ferrule 36 is fastened to the reel sheet body 45 together with the blank 34 (see FIG. 1). When the second nut 87 is screwed into the male thread 90 of the ferrule 36, as described above, the second nut 87 presses the first nut 37 and the rotation of the first nut 37 is locked. On the other hand, when the second nut 87 is removed from the ferrule 36 and the first nut 37 is removed from the reel sheet body 45, the ferrule 36 is pulled out from the holding pipe 46 and the fishing rod body 32 is detached from the bat body 31.
[0064] In this way, with the fishing rod body 32 fixed to the bat body 31, the second nut 87 prevents the loosening of the first nut 37. Therefore, even when the bending moment applied to the fishing rod 30 changes drastically during actual fishing, the connection state between the fishing rod body 32 and the bat body 31 is maintained.
[0065] In this embodiment, the outer diameter of the front portion 88 of the ferrule 36 is set to be smaller than the outer diameter of the reel seat body 45. That is, the inner diameter of the second nut 87 is different from the inner diameter of the first nut 37. That is, since the natural frequency of the first nut 37 is different from the natural frequency of the second nut 87, it is expected that the effect of preventing the loosening of the first nut 37 by the second nut 87 will be improved. Note that the inner diameter of the second nut 87 may be the same as the inner diameter of the first nut 37, or the inner diameter of the second nut 87 may be larger than the inner diameter of the first nut 37.
[0066] In this embodiment, since the holding pipe 46 is provided on the reel seat body 45 and the first nut 37 is screwed onto the reel seat body 45, the reel seat 39 also has the function of holding the ferrule 36. In addition, the second nut 87 is screwed onto the ferrule 36, and it is easy to prevent the first nut 37 from loosening. Therefore, there is an advantage that the structure for holding the ferrule 36 and the fishing rod body 32 is simplified.
[0067] In this embodiment, since the first nut 37 and the second nut 87 are in a reverse thread relationship with each other, the effect of preventing the first nut 37 from loosening becomes more prominent.
[0068] In this embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, when the ferrule 36 is inserted into the holding pipe 46, the convex strip 70 engages with the groove 43 provided on the ferrule 36, so that the rotation of the ferrule 36, that is, the rotation of the fishing rod body 32 with respect to the butt body 31 is restricted. Moreover, since the positioning plate 47 is fixed to the holding pipe 46 by the fixing pin 73, there is also an advantage that the displacement of the positioning plate 47 with respect to the holding pipe 46 is reliably prevented.
