[0011] Hereinafter, the same or equivalent components and members in each drawing are denoted by the same reference numerals, and some descriptions that are appropriately repeated and members that are not important for understanding the embodiments are omitted.

[0012] (Example) FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing the eyelash curler 100 according to the embodiment. FIG. 2(a) is a front view of the eyelash curler 100 according to the embodiment, and (b) is a left side view. The width direction of the eyelash curler 100, which is the horizontal direction in FIG. 2(a), is referred to as the X direction, and the height direction orthogonal to the X direction is referred to as the Y direction. As shown in FIG. 2(b), the depth direction orthogonal to the X direction and the Y direction is referred to as the Z direction. FIG. 3 is an exploded view showing the eyelash curler according to the embodiment.

[0013] The eyelash curler 100 has a handle 10, a frame body 20, a treatment member 40, a heating part 32 that electrically heats the treatment member 40, a conductor 44 that transmits power to the heating part 32, and a power supply part 30 that is fixed to the frame body 20 and supplies power to the heating part 32.

[0014] The handle 10 has a support handle 12 and an auxiliary handle 14. Both handles are P-shaped in side view and are rotatably connected by a support shaft 16 in a back-to-back orientation. The distance from the support shaft 16 to the end of the support handle 12 is set to be from 52 mm to 62 mm, and the distance from the support shaft 16 to the end of the auxiliary handle 12 is set to be from 56 mm to 66 mm. The auxiliary handle 14 opens from an initial state where the angle formed by its axis and the axis of the support handle 12 is about 5 degrees to 15 degrees to a position where it opens up to a maximum of 40 degrees to 50 degrees. Note that the numerical ranges described below are also ranges that have been confirmed to be comfortable to use through experiments.

[0015] The support handle 12 is integrally formed with the frame body 20. It may be configured as separate members. The handle 10 and the frame body 20 are made of resin. The auxiliary handle 14 is rotatably connected to a connecting part 60 connected to the power supply part 30 at the end opposite to the side where the user grips. In the embodiment, the connecting part 60 is integrally formed with the power supply part 30, but it may be configured as separate members.

[0016] The frame body 20 extends from the support handle 12 to form a hollow square frame shape with rounded corners. The frame body 20 has a rod-shaped first guide part 22, a second guide part 24, and an eyelash contact part 26.

[0017] The eyelash application part 26 corresponds to one side extending in the X direction that connects the first guide part 22 and the second guide part 24. The eyelash application part 26 is formed in an arched shape that bulges slightly in the Y direction, which is the direction away from the user.

[0018] The first guide part 22 and the second guide part 24 correspond to two sides extending in the Z direction among the rounded rectangular frame-shaped sides of the frame body 20. Grooves are respectively provided inside the frames of the first guide part 22 and the second guide part 24, and they are slidably engaged with the power supply part 30. By opening and closing the auxiliary handle 14, the power supply part 30 is guided by the first guide part 22 and the second guide part 24 and slides in the Z direction. The distance between the eyelash application part 26 and the treatment member 40 is provided to be from 5.0 mm to 5.5 mm at the maximum.

[0019] The conductor 44 transmits electric power from the power supply part 30 to the heat generating part 32. The power supply part 30 has a secondary battery 42, a base material 68 on which the secondary battery 42 is mounted, and a cover part 52 that protects the secondary battery 42 and the base material 68. The cover part 52 houses the secondary battery 42 and the base material 68 inside.

[0020] The treatment member 40, the heat generating part 32, the gap part 54, and the support member 36 are provided adjacent to the end part on the side close to the eyelash application part 26 of the cover part 52. In the embodiment, the cover part 52, the gap part 54, and the connecting part 60 are integrally formed by combining the bottom member 64 and the upper cover member 62, but they may also be configured as separate members.

[0021] FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line A - A' in FIG. 2(a). The positional relationship between the secondary battery 42 and the base material 68 is determined such that the length of the power supply part 30 in the Z direction, which is the longitudinal direction of the frame body 20, is less than or equal to the length in the Y direction, which is a direction perpendicular to both the longitudinal direction of the frame body 20 and the longitudinal direction of the treatment member 40 in the X direction.

[0022] In the embodiment, they are assembled by arranging, in order from the side closer to the user in the Y direction, the bottom member 64, the base material 68, the rectangular parallelepiped secondary battery 42, and the upper cover member 62. The cover portion 52 is provided such that the length in the Z direction is the same as or shorter than the length in the Y direction. Accordingly, the secondary battery 42 is arranged such that the length in the Z direction is the same as or shorter than the length in the Y direction. The length of the base material 68 in the Z direction is determined such that it is the same as or shorter than the length in the Y direction when the base material 68 and the secondary battery 42 are combined.

[0023] The heating portion 32 is electrically connected to the secondary battery 42, which is a lithium-ion battery, through the conductor 44. The power supply portion 30 can apply a voltage of 3.0 V to 10.0 V to electrically heat the heating portion 32, whereby the treatment member 40 is heated. The secondary battery 42 is charged through the charging port 66 from an external adapter (not shown). The secondary battery 42 having a battery capacity of 300 to 500 mAh is adopted to be fully charged in 30 minutes to 80 minutes.

[0024] The base material 68 includes a control portion (not shown), and the control portion controls the voltage applied to the heating portion 32. The temperature reached by the treatment member 40 can be set to 45 degrees or 60 degrees. A power button 56 and an LED lamp 58 are provided on one side surface of the cover member 50, and a charging port 66 for a USB (Universal Serial Bus) terminal is provided on the other side surface. The control portion and the power button 56 are connected, and when the power button 56 is pressed, the power supply portion 30 applies a voltage to the heating portion 32.

[0025] The bottom member 64 has a depression 70 on the back side, the side facing the user, that conforms to the shape of the cheek. Adjacent to the cover portion 52, a gap portion 54 that penetrates in the Y direction from the eye on the side where the user's eyelashes are pinched is provided, and a forward view from the eye with the eyelashes pinched is ensured when the user's eyelashes are pinched.

[0026] FIG. 5 is a partial enlarged view of the range indicated by the broken line frame B in FIG. 4. The support member 36 supports the treatment member 40 in such a manner that the tip thereof penetrates the treatment member 40. Here, the treatment member 40 has insulation properties and is made of silicon rubber in the embodiment. A U-shaped groove 46 is provided at the tip of the support member 36, and the heating part 32 is fitted and fixed to the opening of the groove 46 and applied to the treatment member 40 penetrated into the support member 36. The heating part 32 uses a nichrome heating wire. A temperature sensor 38 is provided at the bottom of the groove 46 in the vicinity of the support member 36.

[0027] With the above configuration, the eyelash curler 100 is used as follows. When the power button 56 is pressed, a voltage is output to the heating part 32 through the control part, and the treatment member 40 is heated by the heat generated by the heating part 32. According to the operation confirmation of the present inventor, in an environment where the outside air temperature is 25 degrees, when set to 60 degrees, the treatment member 40 is heated to 55 degrees to 65 degrees within 10 seconds, and when set to 45 degrees, the treatment member 40 is heated to 43 degrees to 50 degrees within 7 seconds. The user waits for the treatment member 40 to warm up, opens the handle 10 and applies it to one eye, inserts the eyelashes between the treatment member 40 and the eyelash contact part 26, closes the handle 10, and sandwiches the eyelashes between the treatment member 40 and the eyelash contact part 26. Adjust the time for applying heat to the eyelash part, and pull up the eyelashes in the direction where you want to curl while sliding from the root to the tip. The control part stops the output 5 minutes after the power button 56 is pressed. The protruding part of the treatment member 40 can be removed by pinching and replaced.

[0028] With the above configuration, the following effects are obtained. The length of the power supply part 30 in the Z direction becomes shorter, and the distance from the treatment part to the handle 10 becomes shorter, so it is easy to operate. The eyelash curler 100 has a gap part 54, and the user can confirm the position of the treatment part with a mirror through the gap part 54, so it is easy to operate. The eyelash curler 100 has a depression 70 on the side surface on the user side, and the position corresponding to the user's cheekbone is sunken, so the cheekbone does not get in the way and it is easy to operate.
