Abstract
Description
[Technical Field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a management device capable of communicating between a plurality of wearable terminals carried by a plurality of users of a facility and acquiring biometric information from each user, and an in-facility terminal installed within the facility and capable of communicating with the plurality of wearable terminals. [Background technology]
[0002] For example, in facilities such as nursing homes, care facilities, and hospitals, health management and safety management of the elderly or patients who are users are important issues. Another important issue for facility managers is reducing the burden on staff, such as service providers, who provide services (see, for example, Patent Document 1 below). [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0003] [Patent Document 1] Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 2023-103482 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0004] However, improving the management of the health and safety of facility users usually increases the burden on the management staff, making it difficult to simultaneously improve the management of facility users and reduce the burden on the management staff.
[0005] The present invention has been made in consideration of the above-mentioned circumstances, and aims to provide a management device that can improve the management of facility users while reducing the burden on management staff. [Means for solving the problem]
[0006] (1) A management device according to the present invention is a management device capable of communicating between a plurality of wearable devices carried by a plurality of users who use a facility and which acquire biometric information from each user, and an in-facility terminal installed within the facility and capable of communicating with the plurality of wearable devices within a predetermined first communication range. The management device includes a communication unit, a storage unit, and a control unit. The communication unit is capable of communicating between the plurality of wearable devices and the in-facility terminal within a second communication range different from the first communication range. The storage unit stores the biometric information of each user received from the plurality of wearable devices in association with each user, and stores location information of each user in association with time based on communication information with the plurality of wearable devices received from the in-facility terminal. The control unit detects an abnormality in the biometric information or the location information.
[0007] With this configuration, biometric information received from multiple wearable devices is stored in the management device in association with each user, thereby improving the management of the health and safety of facility users. Furthermore, by storing the location information of each user in association with time based on communication information received from in-facility devices in the management device, the burden on the management staff is reduced because they do not need to travel to check the location information of each user.
[0008] In particular, by automatically detecting abnormalities in each user's biometric information and location information, these abnormalities can be identified reliably and quickly, effectively improving the management of facility users while reducing the burden on administrative staff.
[0009] (2) The control unit may detect an abnormality in the location information based on the time since communication between the wearable device and the in-facility device was initiated.
[0010] With this configuration, it is possible to reliably and quickly identify any abnormalities in the location information of each user based on the time since communication between the wearable device and the in-facility device has begun. For example, if an in-facility device is installed in a restroom within a facility, and communication between the wearable device and the in-facility device has begun when a user enters the restroom and communication between the wearable device and the in-facility device has begun, and if the communication status does not change even after a predetermined time has passed, this can be detected as an abnormality in the location information, making it possible to reliably and quickly identify any abnormalities, such as the user having collapsed in the restroom.
[0011] (3) The control unit may detect an abnormality in the location information based on a change in a communication state between the wearable device and the in-facility device.
[0012] With this configuration, it is possible to reliably and quickly identify an abnormality in the location information of each user based on a change in the communication status between the wearable device and the in-facility device. For example, if an in-facility device is installed in a user's living room within a facility, and the user is prohibited from leaving the living room, and the user leaves the living room and the communication status between the wearable device and the in-facility device changes, this can be detected as an abnormality in the location information, and it is possible to reliably and quickly identify the user's leaving the living room as an abnormality.
[0013] (4) The management device may be capable of communicating with a service terminal, which is owned by a service provider that provides services to the plurality of users, and which enables the service provider to check for abnormalities in the biometric information or the location information.
[0014] With this configuration, the service provider can check for abnormalities in the biometric information or location information of each user using the service terminal they carry, and can immediately go to the user if necessary, thereby more effectively improving the management of facility users and reducing the burden on administrative staff.
[0015] (5) When information about each user is input to the service terminal, the management device may receive the information from the service terminal and manage the information.
[0016] With this configuration, the service provider can simply input information about each user into the service terminal he or she owns, and the information can be managed by the management device. Therefore, since there is no need to directly operate the management device to input information, the burden on the management staff can be more effectively reduced. [Effects of the Invention]
[0017] According to the present invention, it is possible to improve the management of facility users while reducing the burden on management staff. [Brief explanation of the drawings]

[0019] 1. Overall structure of facility user management system 1 is a block diagram showing an example of the configuration of a facility user management system equipped with a management device according to one embodiment of the present invention. This facility user management system can be used in a facility 1, such as a nursing home, a care facility, or a hospital. That is, users 100 of the facility 1 are, for example, elderly people or patients, and staff 400 (e.g., care staff) of the facility 1, who act as service providers providing services to multiple users 100, provide services related to health management or safety management to the users 100.
[0020] In the facility 1, in addition to living rooms 10 and 20 where users 100 spend their daily lives, there are multiple rooms such as an administration office 30 and a dining room 40, which are connected by a corridor 50. Therefore, users 100 and staff 400 of the facility 1 can move between the rooms (living rooms 10 and 20, administration office 30, dining room 40, etc.) by walking along the corridor 50. However, the rooms in the facility 1 are not limited to these, and may also include various other rooms that users 100 or staff 400 can use.
[0021] Living rooms 10 and 20 are equipped with toilets 11 and 21, respectively. In FIG. 1, user 100A of living room 10 is in a living space other than toilet 11 within living room 10, and user 100B of living room 20 is in toilet 21 within living room 20. Although two living rooms 10 and 20 are shown in FIG. 1, in reality, many living rooms are installed within facility 1. In FIG. 1, another user 100C is walking down hallway 50, and yet another user 100D is in dining room 40.
[0022] A plurality of users 100 who use facility 1 each have a wristband 101, which is an example of a wearable device. Wristband 101 is attached to the arm of user 100, and is used in a state where user 100 wears it at all times. However, the wearable device is not limited to wristband 101, as long as it is a device that user 100 can wear on part of the body.
[0023] A plurality of in-facility terminals 201 are installed within facility 1. Examples of locations where the in-facility terminals 201 are installed include living rooms 10, 20 of each user 100, toilets 11, 21 private to each user 100, dining room 40, or hallway 50, but the in-facility terminals 201 can also be installed in any other location, such as a shared toilet or bathroom. Furthermore, a plurality of in-facility terminals 201 may be installed at a predetermined interval in the same location, such as hallway 50 in FIG. 1.
[0024] A management device 301 is used as a terminal operated by an administrator of facility 1. In Fig. 1, management device 301 is installed in a management room 30 within facility 1, but management device 301 may also be installed outside facility 1. Note that management room 30 may also be a station where staff 400 of facility 1 are stationed.
[0025] The multiple staff members 400 who are the administrators of the facility 1 each have a staff terminal 401 as a service terminal. The multiple staff members 400 can carry the staff terminal 401 that they have been given around the facility 1 and use it when necessary. In other words, the staff terminal 401 is a portable terminal that can be carried around.
[0026] 2.Specific configuration of each terminal 2 is a block diagram for explaining the specific configuration of each terminal used within facility 1. Each terminal (wristband 101, in-facility terminal 201, management device 301, and staff terminal 401) can communicate with each other when certain conditions are met within facility 1. Examples of the certain conditions include being within communication range of each other and having a communication connection established between them.
[0027] The wristband 101 includes a communication unit 111 and a sensor 112. The communication unit 111 communicates with other terminals by transmitting and receiving signals. The communication unit 111 can perform wireless communication (first wireless communication) with other terminals within a predetermined first communication range using Bluetooth (registered trademark), which is an example of short-range wireless communication. Furthermore, the communication unit 111 can perform wireless communication (second wireless communication) with other terminals within a second communication range different from the first communication range using Wi-Fi, which is another example of short-range wireless communication. The second communication range may be wider than the first communication range. The wristband 101 is, for example, rechargeable. If multiple wristbands 101 are loaned to each user 100, the other wristbands 101 can be charged while one wristband 101 is being used.
[0028] The sensor 112 provided on the wristband 101 acquires biometric information from the user 100 wearing the wristband 101. Examples of biometric information include body temperature, heart rate, and vibration. By acquiring and managing the body temperature or heart rate of the user 100, it is possible to manage the health of the user 100, and to detect abnormalities in the biometric information when the body temperature or heart rate falls outside a predetermined range. Furthermore, by acquiring and managing the vibrations of the user 100, it is possible to detect abnormalities in the biometric information during sleep from the presence or absence of the user 100 turning over or irregular movements while sleeping, based on the vibrations, or to detect abnormalities (dangerous conditions) in the biometric information from the absence of vibrations for a long period of time or the detection of strong vibrations. However, the biometric information acquired from the user 100 is not limited to body temperature, heart rate, and vibrations, and other biometric information such as oxygen concentration may also be acquired.
[0029] The in-facility terminal 201 includes a communication unit 211 and the like. The communication unit 211 communicates by transmitting and receiving signals to and from other terminals. The communication unit 211 can perform wireless communication (first wireless communication) with other terminals within a predetermined first communication range using Bluetooth (registered trademark), which is an example of short-range wireless communication. Furthermore, the communication unit 211 can perform wireless communication (second wireless communication) with other terminals within a second communication range different from the first communication range using Wi-Fi, which is another example of short-range wireless communication. The in-facility terminal 201 can be, for example, a dongle that can be supplied with power via an external connection terminal such as a USB (Universal Serial Bus) terminal.
[0030] The management device 301 includes a control unit 310, a communication unit 311, a storage unit 312, an operation unit 313, a display unit 314, and an output unit 315. The management device 301 may be configured, for example, by a personal computer. The control unit 310 includes a processor such as a CPU (Central Processing Unit), and the processor executes a program, causing the control unit 310 to function as a functional unit for executing various functions. The communication unit 311 can perform wireless communication (second wireless communication) with another terminal located within a second communication range different from the first communication range, using Wi-Fi, which is an example of short-range wireless communication.
[0031] The storage unit 312 includes a main storage device such as a RAM (Random Access Memory) or an auxiliary storage device such as a hard disk or SSD (Solid State Drive), and can store various types of data. The operation unit 313 includes an input device such as a keyboard or a pointing device such as a mouse, and various input operations can be performed via the operation unit 313. The display unit 314 is configured with, for example, a liquid crystal display or an organic EL display, and can display various types of information.
[0032] The output unit 315 outputs the data stored in the storage unit 312 to the outside. If the data is output from the output unit 315 to a printer, a printed matter based on the data can be obtained. It is also possible to output the data from the output unit 315 to another device such as a USB (Universal Serial Bus) memory.
[0033] The staff terminal 401 includes a control unit 410, a communication unit 411, a storage unit 412, an operation unit 413, and a display unit 414. The staff terminal 401 may be configured as, for example, a tablet terminal. The control unit 410 includes a processor such as a CPU (Central Processing Unit), and the processor executes a program, causing the control unit 410 to function as a functional unit for executing various functions. The communication unit 411 can perform wireless communication (second wireless communication) with another terminal located within a second communication range different from the first communication range, using Wi-Fi, which is an example of short-range wireless communication.
[0034] The storage unit 412 includes a main storage device such as a RAM (Random Access Memory) or an auxiliary storage device such as a hard disk or SSD (Solid State Drive), and can store various types of data. The operation unit 413 includes a touch panel, for example, and various input operations can be performed via the operation unit 413. The display unit 414 is configured with, for example, a liquid crystal display or an organic EL display, and can display various types of information. If the staff terminal 401 is a tablet terminal, it may be a touch panel type operation and display device in which the operation unit 413 and the display unit 414 are integrated.
[0035] 2, the first wireless communication is possible between the wristband 101 and the in-facility terminal 201 only within a first communication range. That is, when the wristband 101 and the in-facility terminal 201 are within the first communication range, data can be transmitted and received via the first wireless communication, but when they go outside the first communication range, the communication state becomes disconnected and data transmission and reception becomes impossible. Therefore, the location information of each user 100 can be managed based on communication information such as whether or not a communication connection exists between the wristband 101 and the in-facility terminal 201, or the time since the communication connection was established.
[0036] For example, if the time spent by the user 100 in the toilet 11, 21 is managed as location information based on the time since a communication connection between the wristband 101 and the in-facility terminal 201 in the toilet 11, 21 is established, an abnormality in the location information can be detected when the time spent exceeds a threshold. Also, an abnormality in the location information can be detected when the communication state between the wristband 101 of a user 100 who is prohibited from going out and the in-facility terminal 201 in the living room 10, 20 of the user 100 changes. By detecting such an abnormality in the location information, the safety of the user 100 can be managed.
[0037] Note that a change in the communication state between the wristband 101 and the in-facility terminal 201 may include a change in reception strength such as RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator). For example, an abnormality in the location information may be detected when the wristband 101 and the in-facility terminal 201 become disconnected (when communication is cut off), when the reception strength from the wristband 101 to the in-facility terminal 201 falls below a predetermined value, or when the reception strength from the wristband 101 to another in-facility terminal 201 exceeds a predetermined value.
[0038] 2, the management device 301 is capable of second wireless communication between the wristband 101 and the in-facility terminal 201 within a second communication range. The management device 301 can store and manage data transmitted from the wristband 101 and the in-facility terminal 201 via the second wireless communication in a storage unit 312. The data transmitted from the wristband 101 to the management device 301 is, for example, biometric information acquired from each user 100 via the sensor 112. The data transmitted from the in-facility terminal 201 to the management device 301 is, for example, communication information between the wristband 101 and the in-facility terminal 201. Data transmission from the wristband 101 and the in-facility terminal 201 to the management device 301 is performed periodically at fixed time intervals.
[0039] 2, the management device 301 is capable of second wireless communication within a second communication range with the staff terminal 401. The management device 301 can store and manage data transmitted from the staff terminal 401 via the second wireless communication in the storage unit 312.
[0040] Management device 301 associates the biometric information received from wristband 101 with each user 100 and stores it in storage unit 312. Management device 301 also associates the location information of each user with time and stores it in storage unit 312 based on communication information received from in-facility terminal 201. Control unit 310 of management device 301 can detect abnormalities in the biometric information and location information as described above based on the biometric information and location information stored in storage unit 312.
[0041] Specifically, the control unit 310 of the management device 301 can detect an abnormality in the location information based on the time since communication between the wristband 101 and the in-facility terminal 201 began. The management device 301 can also detect an abnormality in the location information based on a change in the communication state between the wristband 101 and the in-facility terminal 201. If an abnormality in the biometric information or location information of each user 100 is transmitted (notified) to each staff terminal 401 and displayed on the display unit 414, each staff member 400 can check the abnormality in the biometric information or location information of each user 100 using the staff terminal 401.
[0042] Each staff member 400 can input information about each user 100 by operating the operation unit 413 of the staff terminal 401. Examples of the information about each user 100 include the amount of food eaten, whether or not the user has taken medication, the amount of water intake, and whether or not the user has excreted, but it may also be any other information related to the health management of each user 100. When information about each user 100 is input to the staff terminal 401, the management device 301 receives the information from the staff terminal 401 via the second wireless communication and stores it in the memory unit 312 for management.
[0043] In this embodiment, biometric information received from multiple wristbands 101 is stored in the management device 301 in association with each user 100, thereby improving the management of the health and safety of the users 100 in the facility 1. Furthermore, by storing the location information of each user 100 in association with time in the management device 301 based on communication information received from the in-facility terminal 201, the management staff 400 no longer needs to travel to check the location information of each user 100, thereby reducing the burden on the management staff 400.
[0044] In particular, by automatically detecting abnormalities in the biometric information of each user 100 and abnormalities in the location information of each user 100, these abnormalities can be identified reliably and quickly, thereby effectively improving the management of users 100 at facility 1 and reducing the burden on administrative staff 400.
[0045] 3. Data stored in the management device 3 is a diagram showing an example of data stored in the storage unit 312 of the management device 301. In this example, the storage unit 312 stores, in association with each user 100, the room number assigned to each user's 100's living room 10, 20, the name of each user 100, information (device information) on the wristband 101 carried by each user 100, the location (latest detection location) of the in-facility terminal 201 with which each user's 100's wristband 101 last communicated, the heart rate and body temperature (surface temperature) acquired by each user's 100's wristband 101, an abnormal state (stay alert) of the biometric information or location information of each user 100, the update time of the data of each user 100, and the like.
[0046] In the example of FIG. 3, "Mr. A" in room number 101 has been prohibited from going out, but an abnormality in his / her location information has been detected as having left his / her living room, and therefore an abnormal state of "going out" is stored as an alert in the storage unit 312. "Mr. B" in room number 102 has been prohibited from going out because an abnormality in his / her location information has been detected as having been in the bathroom for more than 30 minutes, and therefore an abnormal state of "more than 30 minutes" is stored as an alert in the storage unit 312. "Mr. C" in room number 103 has not been detected as having any abnormality in either his / her biometric information or location information, and therefore is stored as "normal" in the storage unit 312.
[0047] In the example of "Mr. A" in room number 101, an abnormality (outing) in the location information of user 100 can be reliably and quickly detected based on a change in the communication state between wristband 101 and in-facility terminal 201. In other words, if in-facility terminal 201 is installed in the living room of user 100 in facility 1, even though user 100 such as "Mr. A" is prohibited from going out of the living room, when user 100 goes out of the living room and the communication state between wristband 101 and in-facility terminal 201 changes, this is detected as an abnormality in the location information, and it is possible to reliably and quickly detect user 100's going out of the living room as an abnormality.
[0048] In the example of "Mr. B" in room number 102, it is possible to reliably and quickly ascertain any abnormality in the location information of user 100 based on the time since communication began between wristband 101 and in-facility terminal 201. In other words, if in-facility terminal 201 is installed in a restroom in facility 1, when user 100 using the restroom, such as "Mr. B," enters the restroom and communication begins between wristband 101 and in-facility terminal 201, if the communication state does not change even after a predetermined time has passed, this can be detected as an abnormality in the location information, making it possible to reliably and quickly ascertain any abnormality, such as user 100 having collapsed in the restroom.
[0049] 3 shows only the case where an abnormal state of the location information of the user 100 is stored as an alert in the storage unit 312, but an abnormal state of the biological information of the user 100 may also be stored as an alert in the storage unit 312. For example, an abnormal state of the body temperature or heart rate of the user 100 may be stored as an alert in the storage unit 312, or an abnormal state such as a fall or tumble from a bed based on the vibrations of the user 100 may be stored as an alert in the storage unit 312.
[0050] 4. Processing by management device 4 is a flowchart showing an example of processing by the control unit 310 of the management device 301. The control unit 310 of the management device 301 monitors whether communication between the wristband 101 and the in-facility terminal 201 has started, based on communication information with each wristband 101 periodically received from the in-facility terminal 201 (step S101).
[0051] When communication between the wristband 101 and the in-facility terminal 201 is initiated (Yes in step S101), whether a predetermined time has elapsed since the start of communication is monitored (step S103) until the communication state changes (until Yes in step S102). Then, when the predetermined time has elapsed (Yes in step S103), it is determined whether the position of the user 100 carrying the wristband 101 at the time the communication was initiated is a specific position (step S104).
[0052] The specific location may be a room used by the user 100 alone, such as the bathrooms 11 and 21. If communication between the wristband 101 of the user 100 and the in-facility terminal 201 remains connected for a long period of time in such a location, there is a high possibility that an abnormality, such as the user 100 having collapsed, has occurred. Therefore, if it is determined that the location is the specific location (Yes in step S104), the control unit 310 detects the abnormality (step S105) and, if necessary, displays an alert on at least one of the display unit 314 of the management device 301 and the display unit 414 of the staff terminal 401. At this time, an alert such as that shown in FIG. 3 ("More than 30 minutes for "Person B") may be displayed.
[0053] On the other hand, if the distance between the wristband 101 and the in-facility terminal 201 increases and the communication state between the wristband 101 and the in-facility terminal 201 changes (Yes in step S102), it is determined whether the user 100 carrying the wristband 101 is a specific user 100 (step S106). A specific user 100 may be, for example, a user 100 who is prohibited from going out.
[0054] If it is determined that the user is a specific user 100 (Yes in step S106), the control unit 310 detects an abnormality (step S105) and, if necessary, displays an alert on at least one of the display unit 314 of the management device 301 and the display unit 414 of the staff terminal 401. At this time, an alert such as the one shown in FIG. 3 ("Mr. A's Out") may be displayed.
[0055] 5.Other display examples of managed devices Fig. 5 is a diagram showing another example of display on the display unit 314 of the management device 301. The display unit 314 of the management device 301 may be configured to be able to switch between the display shown in Fig. 3 (displaying the latest status of each user 100) and the display shown in Fig. 5 (displaying the historical status of a specific user 100).
[0056] 5, the history of biometric information and location information of "Mr. A," a specific user 100, is displayed. The history may be displayed, for example, in the order in which the biometric information was received. Furthermore, if multiple in-facility terminals 201 have simultaneously established communication connections with the same wristband 101, the installation location of the in-facility terminal 201 with the strongest reception strength may be displayed as the most recently detected location.
[0057] 6. Information entered into staff terminals 6 is a diagram showing an example of input information to the staff terminal 401. In this example, the room number assigned to each user 100's living room 10, 20, the name of each user 100, the amount of food and water intake of each user 100, abnormal conditions (alerts) in the biometric information or location information of each user 100, whether or not each user 100 is taking medication, and other special notes are managed in association with each user 100 and displayed on the staff terminal 401.
[0058] Of the various types of information described above, the amount of food and water intake of each user 100, whether or not they are taking medication, and the like can be input by operating the staff terminal 401. However, this information is not limited to these, and other information, such as whether or not each user 100 has excreted, may also be input by the staff terminal 401. In this way, the staff member 400 as a service provider can have the information managed in the management device 301 simply by inputting information about each user 100 into the staff terminal 401 that he or she owns. Therefore, since there is no need to directly operate the management device 301 to input information, it is possible to more effectively reduce the burden on the management staff member 400.
[0059] The amount of food intake (amount of food) can be input separately for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Furthermore, the amount of water intake can be input separately for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as for the period between breakfast and lunch, and the period between lunch and dinner, etc. As in the example of FIG. 6, the amount of food intake can be input separately for the type of meal, such as a main dish and a side dish. Furthermore, whether or not medication is taken can be input separately for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This information can be input by displaying it in a pull-down format on the staff terminal 401.
[0060] The abnormal state (alert) of the biometric information or location information of each user 100 displayed on the staff terminal 401 is displayed based on the information received from the management device 301. In this way, when the abnormal state of each user 100 is displayed as an alert on the staff terminal 401 carried by each staff member 400, if at least one of the room number and name of the target user 100 is displayed, the staff member 400 who has confirmed the abnormality can immediately go to the target user 100 as necessary, thereby more effectively achieving both improved management of the users 100 in the facility 1 and a reduction in the burden on the management staff member 400.
[0061] The staff member 400 can cancel the alert by operating the staff terminal 401 after going to the target user 100 and taking appropriate action. In this case, the information of the target person that was displayed with priority when the alert was displayed may be configured to no longer be displayed with priority when the alert is canceled. Furthermore, when the alert is displayed, a sound may be output from the staff terminal 401, but the staff terminal 401 may be set not to output a sound depending on the environment in which the staff terminal 401 is used.
[0062] 7.Other display examples on staff terminals Fig. 7 is a diagram showing another example of display on the display unit 414 of the staff terminal 401. The display in Fig. 7 corresponds to the display on the display unit 314 of the management device 301 shown in Fig. 3, but since it is a display on the display unit 414 of the staff terminal 401, it includes information that is useful to the staff member 400.
[0063] Specifically, in addition to the latest detection location, heart rate, surface temperature, and retention alert for each user 100, food amount alerts and water amount alerts for each user 100 are displayed on the display unit 414 of the staff terminal 401. The food amount alert indicates an abnormality in the food amount of each user 100. The water amount alert indicates an abnormality in the water intake of each user 100.
[0064] In the example of Figure 7, the amount of food eaten by "B-san" in room number 102 is abnormal, so a "Caution Required" alert is displayed in association with "B-san." Also, the amount of water intake by "C-san" in room number 103 is abnormal, so a "Caution Required" alert is displayed in association with "C-san."
[0065] In the above embodiment, a configuration has been described in which data is stored in the storage unit 312 provided in the management device 301, but the storage unit 312 may be configured as an external storage device such as a cloud server. In this case, the external storage device functions as a part of the management device 301.
[0066] Furthermore, the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various modifications are possible within the scope of the invention. For example, data stored in the management device 301 may be transmitted to a terminal other than the staff terminal 401. Specifically, a service may be provided in which part of the data stored in the management device 301 is transmitted to a mobile terminal carried by the guardian of a user 100 at the facility 1. Alternatively, a service may be provided in which points or virtual currency that can be used within the facility 1 are associated with each user 100 and managed by the management device 301.
