[Technical Field]

[0001] The present invention relates to clubs, and more particularly to golf club heads with improved striking faces, which include grooves with specific cross-sectional profiles based on the loft of the golf club head. [Background technology]

The present invention includes at least a first set of golf club heads intended for slower swing speeds and a second set of golf club heads intended for faster swing speeds. The first set of golf club heads includes at least two different groove profiles: one groove profile for golf club heads with loft angles of 28 degrees or less and a different groove profile for golf club heads with loft angles greater than 28 degrees. The first set of golf club heads has groove profiles designed to help generate more spin regardless of lie conditions while remaining within a specific desired spin level when hit from poor conditions. The second set of golf club heads also includes at least two different groove profiles: one groove profile for golf club heads with loft angles of 31 degrees or less and a different groove profile for golf club heads with loft angles greater than 31 degrees. [0012] The present invention is directed to a set of golf club heads having different groove profiles for different loft ranges. In one embodiment, the set of golf club heads includes at least a first golf club head 100 having a loft of 28 degrees or less at normal address position and at least a second golf club head 200 having a loft of more than 28 degrees.
