As the monofilament dental tape 1 slides over the occlusal surface of the tooth, the wavy section 11 of the monofilament dental tape 1 snaps into the opening between the teeth, thereby generating feedback for the object pulling the dental tape (e.g., a hand, a roll of floss, or a floss wand).
