Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention particularly relates to an oil-based solid cosmetic excellent in secondary adhesion resistance, makeup durability, uniformity of the coating film, and lip moist feeling over time.
Background Art
[0002] Oil-based solid cosmetics composed of solid oils such as wax, liquid oils, and powders as the skeleton are required to have basic functions such as good filling properties during production, good elongation of the coating film, and good makeup retention. Further, in conventional oil-based solid cosmetics, for example, after applying lipstick to the lips, the lipstick is transferred to parts such as a cup that come into contact with the lips, or after applying makeup products such as foundation to the skin, the makeup products adhere to clothes, etc. The secondary adhesion has been a problem.
[0003] In response to such requirements, cosmetics having secondary adhesion resistance have been developed. For example, there is a method in which a high-viscosity oil such as hydrogenated polyisobutene and a specific organosilicon oil are blended, and the hydrogenated polyisobutene and the organosilicon oil are separated by shear during use to exhibit a secondary adhesion-free effect (secondary adhesion resistance in the present application) (Patent Documents 1, 2, and 3). However, since this method easily separates the cosmetic at room temperature, unevenness is likely to occur during application, and it is difficult to obtain a uniform makeup film. Further, when the separated organosilicon oil layer disappears due to transfer, a high-viscosity oil layer (pigment-containing layer) such as hydrogenated polyisobutene containing a pigment comes to the surface layer, and the secondary adhesion resistance effect decreases, that is, the makeup durability over time is not sufficient. Further, when the separated organosilicon oil layer disappears due to transfer, there is also a demerit in terms of the feeling of stickiness of the pigment-containing layer. (Patent Document 1).
[0004] Furthermore, there is a method that combines a specific alkyl polyether-modified silicone with a dimer acid ester, which, after application, increases the viscosity of the polyether-modified silicone due to moisture supplied from the outside, thereby improving makeup longevity and color transfer prevention (in this application, secondary adhesion resistance) (Patent Document 4). However, using only this combination of two components results in excessive viscosity, which impairs usability (ease of spreading) and compromises the uniformity of the coated film.
[0005] Therefore, the present invention aims to provide an oil-based solid cosmetic composition that is excellent in terms of resistance to secondary adhesion, durability of the cosmetic, uniformity of the applied film, and moisturizing effect on the lips over time. [0007] The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned prior art, and aims to provide an oil-based solid cosmetic composition that is excellent in resistance to secondary adhesion, durability of the cosmetic, uniformity of the applied film, and moisturizing effect on the lips over time. [Means for solving the problem]
[0008] In order to achieve the above objectives, the inventors conducted diligent research and discovered a characteristic compatibility between component (A) and component (B). They found that by applying this compatibility, the above objectives could be solved, thus completing the present invention.
[0009] In other words, the present invention is an oily solid cosmetic composition comprising the following components (A) to (B). (A) Diphenyldimethicone (B) Lauryl PEG-10 Tris(trimethylsiloxy)silylethyldimethicone [Effects of the Invention]
[0010] According to the present invention, it is possible to provide an oil-based solid cosmetic composition that is excellent in terms of resistance to secondary adhesion, durability of the cosmetic, uniformity of the applied film, and moisturizing effect on the lips over time. [Brief explanation of the drawing]
[0011] [Figure 1] This figure shows an example of how secondary adhesion resistance was evaluated visually. [Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention]
[0012] The present invention will be described in more detail below. Unless otherwise noted, when the amount of a component is expressed in "%" below, it means mass percent.
[0013] In this invention, an oil-based solid cosmetic composition refers to an oil-based cosmetic composition that exhibits solid properties at 25°C. Furthermore, the oil-based solid cosmetic composition in this invention is not particularly limited in terms of dosage form, as long as it is solid at 25°C. For example, it can be molded by heating and melting the cosmetic composition, pouring it into a mold, and cooling it, and examples of dosage forms include stick-shaped, pencil-shaped, and gold-dish filled products.
[0014] In this invention, "oil-based" means a substance in which oil is a continuous phase and which contains substantially no water, or if it does contain water, it is 1% by mass or less, and does not include emulsified formulations.
[0015] The component (A) diphenyldimethicone used in this invention is a modified silicone in which some of the methyl groups of dimethicone are replaced with phenyl groups. Because this component has low pigment dispersibility, the pigment is hardly dispersed in it.
[0016] Examples of commercially available products of the above component (A) include KF-50 100cs, KF-50 300cs, KF-53, KF-54 (manufactured by Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd.), and the like. The amount of the above component (A) to be blended is not particularly limited as long as the effects of the present invention can be obtained, but it is preferably contained in the range of 15 to 65% by mass based on the total amount of the cosmetic. Within this range, the secondary adhesion resistance is very excellent and the coating film is also uniform.
[0017] Component (B), lauryl PEG-10 tris(trimethylsiloxy)silylethyldimethicone, used in the present invention is a modified silicone in which a silicone dendron group, an alkyl group, and a polyether group are bonded to a silicone chain. Component (B) has pigment dispersibility. Further, component (B) has the property of gelling when a small amount of water is added.
[0018] Examples of commercially available products of the above component (B) include DOWSIL ES-5300 FORMULATION AID (manufactured by Dow Corning Toray Co., Ltd.).
[0019] The amount of the above component (B) to be blended is not particularly limited as long as the effects of the present invention can be obtained, but it is preferably contained in the range of 5 to 25% by mass based on the total amount of the cosmetic. Within this range, when combined with component (A), the secondary adhesion resistance and the makeup persistence are very excellent, and the moist feeling of the lips over time is also good.
[0020] Since both component (A) and component (B) have silicone in their molecules, they are predicted to be compatible in nature. However, in reality, as shown in Table 1, when the two are combined, they are compatible at 80°C or higher. Then, when allowed to stand, they exhibit characteristic compatibility in that they "become incompatible" and separate at 25°C or lower after going through a state of "incompatibility". Utilizing this property, when the oil-based solid cosmetic of the present invention is used, when the cosmetic that was uniform in the solid state collapses and becomes liquid, component (A) and component (B) are placed on the lips in an incompatible state and then separated component (A) covers the lip surface. Since no pigment is dispersed in component (A), only the transparent component (A) migrates to the cup even after drinking a beverage, and the colored composition does not migrate. That is, the cosmetic of the present invention is considered to have high secondary adhesion resistance. Also, component (B) gels when a small amount of water is added. Gelation refers to a state where the viscosity increases from a state with fluidity and the fluidity is lost and it gels. Gelation means becoming a jelly-like condensate. It is considered that the cosmetic of the present invention gels when component (B) reacts with the moisture evaporated from the lips and the moisture in the air on the lips, and the secondary adhesion resistance is improved, thereby improving the makeup persistence.
[0021] In the present invention, "compatible" means that when two specific components are stirred and mixed, they become transparent and uniform and the boundary between the two components cannot be visually recognized, and they are considered to be "compatible".
[0022] In the present invention, "incompatible" means that when two specific components are stirred and mixed, they do not become transparent and uniform but become turbid, and they are considered to be "incompatible".
[0023] In the present invention, separation means that when two specific components are made compatible and then allowed to stand, they go through a state of "incompatibility" and are separated as layers to such an extent that the boundary can be visually recognized, and they are considered to be "separated".
[0024] [Compatibility test method] Component (A) or a similar component (A') was mixed with component (B) or a similar component (B'), heated to 80°C, and then cooled to 25°C. The miscibility at each temperature was visually observed. The results of the comparison are shown in Table 1. As a result, a characteristic phenomenon was observed only when component (A) and component (B) were mixed: they miscible at 80°C, but the miscibility broke down and the solution became cloudy (incompatible) at 25°C.
[0025] [Table 1]
[0026] In the oil-based solid cosmetic composition of the present invention, the mass ratio of the amounts of component (A) to component (B) [(A) / (B)] is preferably 0.6:1 to 13:1. When the value of [(A) / (B)] is within this range, the resistance to secondary adhesion is very good, and the uniformity of the coated film is very good.
[0027] In addition to the essential components mentioned above, the cosmetic composition of the present invention may also contain other components commonly used in cosmetics, as needed. For example, pearlescent agents, powder components, oily components other than components (A) and (B), thickeners, fragrances, bactericides, preservatives, antioxidants, chelating agents, UV absorbers, UV scattering agents, anti-inflammatory agents, antioxidants, cooling agents, herbal extracts, vitamins, and other additives can be added as appropriate. The proportion of these components can be appropriately selected according to their type and purpose, and they may be used individually or in combination of two or more as appropriate.
[0028] The uses of the oil-based solid cosmetic composition according to this embodiment are not particularly limited, but examples include makeup cosmetics such as lipstick, foundation, blush, concealer, eyeshadow, eyeliner, eyebrow pencil, mascara, makeup base, and hair color, as well as skincare cosmetics such as lip cream, lip balm, eye cream, moisturizing cream, and sunscreen.
[0029] A method for producing an oily solid cosmetic according to this embodiment includes, for example, a method in which a cosmetic bulk obtained by mixing and dissolving the above-mentioned component (A), component (B), and optionally oily components, powder components, and other components is filled into a predetermined container or mold and solidified. [Examples]
[0030] The present invention will be further explained below with reference to examples. These examples do not limit the present invention in any way.
[0031] The evaluation methods used in each example are described below.
[0032] (1) "Secondary adhesion resistance" Twenty cosmetic evaluation panel members applied the cosmetic samples of the examples and comparative examples, then pressed a tissue against their lips for 5 seconds and visually assessed the amount of cosmetic adhering to the tissue. A specific example of the evaluation criteria is shown in Figure 1. The evaluation was based on the following criteria: 2 points: almost no adhesion to the tissue, 1 point: visible but not bothersome (upper part of Figure 1), 0 points: considerable adhesion to the tissue (lower part of Figure 1). The sum of each score was determined according to the following criteria. [Rating: Evaluation Criteria] ◎: 25 points or more ○: 15 points or more, but less than 25 points ×: Less than 15 points
[0033] (2) "Longevity of makeup" Twenty cosmetic evaluation panel members were asked to use the cosmetic products in the examples and comparative examples. Each panel member evaluated the remaining color after 4 hours of application as "cosmetic durability," assigning a score to each sample on a 5-point scale according to the following evaluation criteria. The average score of all panel members was then determined according to the following criteria. [Rating: Evaluation Criteria] 5 points: very good 4 points: Good 3 points: Average 2 points: Slightly poor 1 point: Defective [Evaluation Criteria (Average Score)] ◎: 4.5 or higher ○: 3.5 or higher and less than 4.5 △: 1.5 or higher, but less than 3.5 ×: Less than 1.5
[0034] (3) "Uniformity of the coating film" Twenty cosmetic evaluation panel members were asked to use the cosmetic products of the examples and comparative examples. Each member evaluated the "uniformity of the coated film" on a 5-point scale according to the following evaluation criteria, assigning a score to each sample. The average score of all panel members was then determined according to the following criteria. [Rating: Evaluation Criteria] 5 points: very good 4 points: Good 3 points: Average 2 points: Slightly poor 1 point: Defective [Evaluation Criteria (Average Score)] ◎: 4.5 or higher ○: 3.5 or higher and less than 4.5 △: 1.5 or higher, but less than 3.5 ×: Less than 1.5
[0035] (4) "The feeling of moisture in the lips over time" Twenty cosmetic evaluation panel members were asked to use the cosmetic products of the example and comparative examples. Each panel member evaluated the "moisture level of the lips over time" up to four hours after application, using a five-point scale according to the following evaluation criteria, and assigned a score to each sample. The average score of all panel members was then determined according to the following criteria. [Rating: Evaluation Criteria] 5 points: very good 4 points: Good 3 points: Average 2 points: Somewhat unpleasant 1 point: Unpleasant [Evaluation Criteria (Average Score)] ◎: 4.5 or higher ○: 3.5 or higher and less than 4.5 △: 1.5 or higher, but less than 3.5 ×: Less than 1.5
[0036] (Manufacturing method) Components A to D shown in Tables 2 and 3 were heated and dissolved at 90 to 100°C. Component E was dispersed using a three-roll mill, then added to the layer of heated and dissolved components A to D, and dispersed using a disperser. The resulting dispersion was redissolved at 90 to 100°C, degassed, poured into a mold at 85 to 95°C, and cooled and solidified to room temperature to obtain a solid lipstick. A solid lipstick was prepared for the comparative example using the same method.
[0037] Tables 2 and 3 show each prescription and its evaluation results.
[0038] [Table 2]
[0039] [Table 3]
[0040] As is clear from the results in Tables 2 and 3, Examples 1 to 5 of the present invention obtained better results in all evaluation items compared to the comparative examples. On the other hand, Comparative Example 1, which did not contain component (A), did not show satisfactory results in terms of secondary adhesion resistance. Comparative Examples 3 to 6, which used other phenyl-modified silicones instead of component (A), all did not show satisfactory results in terms of secondary adhesion resistance. This is thought to be because the pigment was dispersed in the other phenyl-modified silicones used instead of component (A), resulting in reduced secondary adhesion resistance. Comparative Example 2, which did not contain component (B), did not show satisfactory results in terms of cosmetic durability. Comparative Examples 7 to 9, in which component (B) was replaced with a similar modified silicone surfactant, also did not show satisfactory results in terms of cosmetic durability, uniformity of the coating film, or lip moisture level over time. Comparative Example 7 showed good secondary adhesion resistance, but did not show satisfactory results in terms of cosmetic durability, uniformity of the coating film, or lip moisture level over time. Comparative Example 8 showed good resistance to secondary adhesion and uniformity of the coating film, but did not yield satisfactory results in the evaluation items of cosmetic durability and lip moisture level over time. Comparative Example 9 showed good resistance to secondary adhesion, uniformity of the coating film, and lip moisture level over time, but did not yield satisfactory results in cosmetic durability.
