Abstract

This invention discloses a technology that can suppress the leaching of Al from a current collector into an aqueous electrolyte when an Al-containing current collector is used in an aqueous battery. [Solution] The aqueous battery of the present disclosure has a positive electrode, an aqueous electrolyte, and a negative electrode. One or both of the positive electrode and the negative electrode have a current collector containing Al. The current collector is in contact with the aqueous electrolyte. The aqueous electrolyte contains water, potassium polyphosphate dissolved in the water, and silicate dissolved in the water.
