Abstract
It can sometimes be difficult to determine whether a term is unfamiliar to the recipient of that term. [Solution] The term determination device includes an evaluation unit that evaluates the degree of relevance between a term and a known term, using a term that is included in the content transmitted by a first person and a known term that is presumed to be known to a second person who receives the content transmitted; a determination unit that uses the results of the evaluation by the evaluation unit to determine an unknown term that is unknown to the second person among the terms transmitted; and an output unit that outputs information about the unknown term.
