Abstract

One of the objectives of the present invention is to provide a sludge transport system and an operating method for the sludge transport system that can respond without delay to fluctuations in the amount of sewage inflow containing sludge when collecting and transporting sludge from a sedimentation tank, thereby reducing the load on sludge collection and transport and suppressing the occurrence of malfunctions. [Solution] To solve the above problems, the present invention provides a sludge transport system and a method for operating the system, comprising: a sludge transport unit having a sludge scraping unit, a sludge discharge unit, and a sludge washing tank; an inflow water volume prediction means for predicting the amount of water flowing into the sludge transport unit; and a control unit that changes the operating method of the sludge transport unit based on the amount of water flowing in predicted by the inflow water volume prediction means. According to this invention, the amount of sludge in the sludge transport unit can be leveled in response to fluctuations in the amount of water flowing into the sewage, the load related to sludge collection and transport can be reduced, and malfunctions can be suppressed.
