Method and apparatus for channel state information compression

Abstract

A method, apparatus, and system for a first node for communication is disclosed. The method includes receiving compressed channel state information (CSI) generated from one or more current models from a second node, wherein the one or more current models are one or more artificial intelligence or machine learning (AI / ML) based models determined on one or more current datasets; determining whether the one or more current models are feasible for at least one of CSI generation or CSI reconstruction; obtaining one or more additional models for generating an updated compressed CSI in response to a determination that the one or more current models are not feasible for at least one of CSI generation or CSI reconstruction; and transmitting one or more additional models to the second node.
