Abstract
Provided herein are PD-1 chimeric cytokine receptors. When present on immune cells bearing a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR), such receptors, upon engagement with a PD-1 ligand or activation by an anti-PD-1 antibody, enable immune cell activation, proliferation, persistence, and / or increased efficacy. Methods of making and using the chimeric cytokine receptors described herein are also provided.
