Abstract

Channel information transmission for idle bandwidth portions. According to an embodiment, a solution for transmitting channel information for a dormant bandwidth portion is proposed. A terminal device configures a periodicity when an active downlink (DL) bandwidth portion (BWP) is a dormant BWP. The periodicity differs from a further periodicity configured and used when the active DL BWP is a non-dormant BWP. The terminal device uses the resources configured for the active uplink (UL) BWP, but with a different periodicity. In this way, sounding reference signal (SRS) / channel state information (CSI) reporting is possible without duplicating the BWP configuration. This may configure a longer periodicity than required, but may reduce the SRS configuration for each UL BWP.

[0023] The term "terminal device" refers to any end device that may be capable of wireless communication. By way of example and not limitation, a terminal device may be referred to as a communication device, a user equipment (UE), a subscriber station (SS), a portable subscriber station, a mobile station (MS), or an access terminal (AT). Terminal devices may include, but are not limited to, mobile phones, cell phones, smartphones, voice-over-IP (VoIP) phones, wireless local loop phones, tablets, wearable terminal devices, personal digital assistants (PDAs), portable computers, desktop computers, gaming terminal devices, music storage and playback devices, vehicle wireless terminal devices, wireless endpoints, mobile stations, laptop embedded devices (LEEs), laptop mounted devices (LMEs), USB dongles, smart devices, wireless customer premises equipment (CPEs), Internet of Things (loT) devices, watches or other wearables, head mounted displays (HMDs), vehicles, drones, medical devices and applications (e.g., remote surgery), industrial devices and applications (e.g., robots and / or other wireless devices operating in industrial and / or automated processing chain contexts), consumer electronic devices, devices operating on commercial and / or industrial wireless networks, etc. In the following description, the terms "terminal device", "communication device", "terminal", "user equipment", and "UE" may be used interchangeably.

[0024] As mentioned above, a BWP is introduced. Multiple BWPs may be configured for the uplink and downlink, respectively. Although multiple BWPs may be defined in the downlink and uplink, only one BWP may be active at each particular moment. For the downlink, a terminal device may be configured with up to four BWPs. The bandwidth of each BWP may be equal to or greater than the bandwidth of a synchronization signal (SS) block, but may or may not include an SS block. Only one BWP may be active at a time. The terminal device may not be expected to receive a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH), a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS), or a tracking reference signal (TRS) outside of the BWP.

[0025] For the uplink, the terminal device may be configured with up to four BWPs. Only one BWP may be active at a time. If the terminal device is configured with an auxiliary uplink, it may further be configured with up to one or more BWPs in the auxiliary uplink. The UE may not transmit a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) or a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) outside of an active BWP.

[0026] Furthermore, a dormant secondary cell (SCell) state is introduced. When a terminal device is in a dormant SCell state, there is no PDCCH monitoring or uplink transmission. Only periodic channel set information may be reported via the primary cell (PCell). Similarly, a dormant BWP is also introduced. In particular, when a BWP is activated and it is a dormant BWP, the bwp-InactivityTimer of this serving cell may be stopped. The terminal device may not monitor the PDCCH on the BWP and may not monitor the PDCCH for the BWP. The downlink shared channel (DL-SCH) on the BWP may not be received. The terminal device may perform CSI measurements for the BWP if configured. The sounding reference signal (SRS) may not be transmitted on the BWP. The uplink shared channel (UL-SCH) on the BWP may also not be transmitted on the BWP. The network device may not transmit the physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) on the BWP. Any configured downlink assignment and any configured uplink grant type 2 related to the SCell may be cleared, respectively. Any configured uplink grant type 1 associated with the SCell may be suspended.

[0027] There is an assumption that there is no periodic SRS transmission for the serving cell when the UE is on a dormant DL BWP (potentially the cell receiving A-CSI, this was not yet clear). The problem needs to be solved. Thus, the question is how to enable SRS transmission on a dormant BWP without the need to configure a rather large SRS-config for each UL BWP. The following agreement was made under the assumption that there is no UL transmission for the serving cell when the DL is on a dormant BWP for the serving cell. In particular, no uplink dormant BWP is defined. The terminal device does not switch uplink BWPs as a result of a transition from dormant to non-dormant for DL BWPs. An active SCell whose active BWP is a dormant BWP should not be included in the power headroom (PHR) reporting. Therefore, there is no discussion on how the UL transmission / PHR works.

[0028] According to an embodiment, a solution for channel information reporting for a serving cell with a dormant bandwidth portion is proposed. A terminal device is configured with a periodicity when an active DL BWP for a serving cell is a dormant BWP. The periodicity is different from a further periodicity configured and used when the active DL BWP is a non-dormant BWP. The terminal device uses resources configured for an active UL BWP, but with a different periodicity. In this way, it allows SRS / CSI reporting without duplicating the configuration of the BWP. It can configure a longer periodicity, but reduce / avoid duplication of SRS configuration for each UL BWP.

[0029] 1 shows a schematic diagram of a communication environment 100 in which embodiments of the present disclosure can be implemented. The communication environment 100 is part of a communication network and includes devices 110-1, 110-2, ..., 110-N, which may be collectively referred to as a "first device 110." The communication environment 100 further includes a second device 120 that can communicate with the first device 110.

[0030] The communication environment 100 may include any suitable number of devices and cells. In the communication environment 100, the first device 110 and the second device 120 may communicate data and control information with each other. When the first device 110 is a terminal device and the second device 120 is a network device, the link from the second device 120 to the first device 110 is called a downlink (DL) and the link from the first device 110 to the second device 120 is called an uplink (UL). The second device 120 and the first device 110 are interchangeable.

[0031] It should be understood that the number of first devices and cells and their connections shown in Figure 1 are given for illustrative purposes, without implying any limitation. The communication environment 100 may include any suitable number of devices and networks adapted to implement embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0032] Communications in the communication environment 100 may be implemented according to any suitable communications protocol, including, but not limited to, cellular communications protocols such as first generation (1G), second generation (2G), third generation (3G), fourth generation (4G) and fifth generation (5G), wireless local network communications protocols such as Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.11, and / or any other protocols now known or to be developed in the future. Furthermore, communications may utilize any suitable wireless communications technology, including, but not limited to, code division multiple access (CDMA), frequency division multiple access (FDMA), time division multiple access (TDMA), frequency division duplex (FDD), time division duplex (TDD), multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO), orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), discrete Fourier transform spread OFDM (DFT-s-OFDM), and / or any other technology now known or to be developed in the future.

[0033] Preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. Reference is now made to Fig. 2, which illustrates a signaling flow 200 for reporting channel information for a idle bandwidth portion according to some example embodiments of the present disclosure. For illustrative purposes, the signaling flow 200 will be described with reference to Fig. 1. The signaling flow 200 may include a first device 110-1 and a second device 120.

[0034] The second device 120 transmits (2005) a configuration for transmitting channel information. The channel information may be a CSI report. Alternatively or additionally, the channel information may be an uplink reference signal. For example, the uplink reference signal may be an SRS signal. It should be noted that the channel information may be other suitable information / signals. In some exemplary embodiments, the configuration may be transmitted together with an initial configuration of the UL BWP.

[0035] The configuration indicates a periodicity for transmitting channel information when the active DL BWP for the serving cell is a dormant BWP. In some exemplary embodiments, the periodicity may be different from the further periodicity configured and used when the active downlink BWP for the serving cell is a non-dormant BWP. For example, the periodicity may be a multiple of the further periodicity. As an example, if the further periodicity is 100 ms, the periodicity may be 200 ms. It should be noted that the periodicity may be any suitable integer multiple of the further periodicity. In some exemplary embodiments, the configuration may indicate an explicit periodicity value, e.g., 200 ms. Alternatively, the configuration may indicate a multiplier. For example, if the configuration indicates 2 and the further periodicity is 100 ms, the periodicity means that it is 2 times longer than the further periodicity, i.e., 200 ms. In this way, overlapping of the configuration of the UL BWP is avoided.

[0036] In other exemplary embodiments, the configuration may indicate an offset that may be used to obtain the periodicity. For example, the offset may be rounded up / down to the nearest allowed periodicity value. In some exemplary embodiments, the offset may be an explicit offset value. Alternatively or additionally, the offset may be a multiplier.

[0037] Alternatively, the configuration may indicate a target UL BWP for transmitting channel information when the active DL BWP for the serving cell is a dormant BWP. In some exemplary embodiments, the target UL BWP may be linked to one of the SRS / CSI configurations (i.e., CSI / SRS resource sets) configured for the UL BWP of terminal device 110-1.

[0038] The periodicity may be configured for a cell group cell. In this situation, the periodicity may be common for all serving cells in the cell group configured with a dormant BWP. Alternatively, the periodicity may be configured for each UL BWP of the serving cell. In other words, the periodicity of the UL BWP may be different for the active DL BWP during the dormant BWP. Thus, SRS transmission is performed while the DL is on a dormant BWP only if the corresponding UL BWP is active (i.e., such additional periodicity may not be configured for each UL BWP). Also, resource sets for transmitting channel information may be configured with different periodicities. For example, the periodicity may be configured for each resource set. In other exemplary embodiments, the periodicity may be configured for each dormant BWP. For example, different dormant DL BWPs may correspond to different UL BWP periodicities. Table 1 below shows that the configuration of the SRS periodicity is currently performed over each SRS resource. Table 2 shows that the periodicity also includes an offset to the current periodicity. [Table 1-1] [Table 1-2] [Table 2]

[0039] The second device 120 determines the active DL BWP to be a dormant BWP (2008). For example, if there are four DL BWPs, one of the DL BWPs may be configured as a dormant BWP. As an example, the first DL BWP may be a dormant BWP. If the active DL BWP is the first DL BWP, the active DL BWP is determined to be a dormant BWP. In some exemplary embodiments, the network device 120 may switch to a new DL BPW and determine the new DL BPW to be a dormant BWP. For example, if the first DL BWP is preconfigured as a dormant BWP and the first DL BWP is the active DL BWP, the second device 120 may determine that the active DL BWP is a dormant BWP. In some exemplary embodiments, the second device 120 may send a command or configuration to the first device 110-1 to move to a dormant UL BWP (2010).

[0040] The first device 110-1 determines whether the active DL BWP is a dormant BWP (2015). For example, an index of the dormant BWP may be preconfigured in the first device 110-1, and the first device 110-1 may compare the index of the active DL BWP with the index of the dormant BWP to determine whether the active DL BWP is a dormant BWP. Alternatively, the first device 110-1 may receive an indication that the active DL BWP is a dormant BWP.

[0041] In some exemplary embodiments, the first device 110-1 may obtain the periodicity (2020). In some exemplary embodiments, if the configuration may indicate an explicit periodicity value, e.g., 200 ms, the first device 110-1 may obtain the periodicity directly from the configuration. Alternatively, if the configuration may indicate a multiplier, the first device 110-1 may obtain the periodicity based on the multiplier and the further periodicity configured to transmit channel information when the active downlink BWP of the serving cell is on a non-dormant bandwidth portion. For example, if the configuration indicates 2 and the further periodicity is 100 ms, the periodicity means that the further periodicity, i.e., 2 times longer than 200 ms. In this way, the preconfigured resources may be used in the context of dormant BWP.

[0042] Alternatively, the first device 110-1 may obtain an offset that may be used to obtain the periodicity (2025). For example, the offset may be rounded up / down to the nearest allowed periodicity value. The first device 110-1 may determine the periodicity based on the offset and the further periodicity. In some exemplary embodiments, the offset may be an explicit offset value. For example, if the offset indicates 100 ms and the further periodicity is 100 ms, the periodicity means that it is 200 ms. Alternatively or additionally, the offset may be a multiplier. For example, if the offset indicates 2 and the further periodicity is 100 ms, the periodicity means that it is 2 times longer than the further periodicity, i.e., 200 ms.

[0043] The first device 110-1 may obtain, from the configuration, a target UL BWP for transmitting channel information when the serving cell's active downlink BWP is on a dormant bandwidth portion (2030). In some exemplary embodiments, the target UL BWP may be linked to one of the SRS / CSI configurations (i.e., CSI / SRS resource sets) configured for the UL BWP of the terminal device 110-1. For example, multiple UL BWPs may be configured, and one of the UL BWPs may be configured as a dormant BWP. If the current UL BWP is different from the target UL BWP, the first device 110-1 may switch from the current UL BWP to the target UL BWP when the DL BWP is the dormant BWP. As mentioned above, the periodicity for the target UL BWP may be a multiple of the further periodicity. Alternatively, the first device 110-1 may obtain an explicit periodicity value for the target UL BWP. Additionally, the first device 110-1 may obtain an offset and determine the periodicity of the target UL BWP based on the offset and the further periodicity.

[0044] The first device 110-1 may apply a periodicity to the current UL BWP (2035). For example, if the active DL BWP is a dormant BWP, the first device 110-1 may extend the periodicity of the current UL BWP, for example, from 100 ms to 200 ms. In this situation, the first device 110-1 may still use the current UL BWP, but with a longer periodicity.

[0045] Alternatively, the first device 110-1 may apply the channel information configuration (e.g., CSI configuration and / or SRS configuration) of the current UL BWP to the target UL BWP. In other embodiments, only the CSI / SRS configuration periodicity is configured separately for the target UL BWP. In a further exemplary embodiment, the periodicity is configured using a semi-persistent SRS configuration, but the indicated periodicity overrides the original configuration.

[0046] The second device 120 may transmit a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) (2040). The MAC CE may indicate a set of resources for transmitting channel information when the active downlink BWP for the serving cell is a dormant BWP. Furthermore, the SRS may be triggered using the existing semi-persistent SRS, because they may also be triggered using the existing SP-SRS activation / deactivation MAC CE (thus, whether to activate the SRS resource is within the network control). For example, each BWP may be configured with multiple settings of resources, and the MAC CE may be used to activate / deactivate one or more settings of the semi-persistent (SP) SPS resources. For example, the MAC CE may use one bit to indicate that this SP-SRS indication is valid only for dormant cells. FIG. 3 illustrates a schematic diagram of a MAC CE according to some exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure. The MAC CE is identified by a MAC subheader with a logical channel ID (LCID) as shown in FIG. 3. There is a variable size with the following fields. In this way, the resources can be controlled more flexibly.

[0047] The A / D field 3010 may indicate whether to activate or deactivate the indicated SP SRS resource configuration. The A / D field 3010 may be set to 1 to indicate activation, otherwise indicating deactivation.

[0048] The SRS resource set cell ID field 3020 may indicate the identity of the serving cell that contains the activated / deactivated SP SRS resource set. If the C field 3050 is set to 0, then this SRS resource set cell ID field 3020 also indicates the identity of the serving cell that contains all resources (e.g., 3090-1, ..., 3090-M, where M may be any suitable integer) indicated by the resource IDi field 3090. The SRS resource set cell ID field 3020 is 5 bits in length.

[0049] The BWP ID field of the SRS resource set 3030 may indicate the UL BWP as a code point of the downlink control indicator bandwidth portion indicator field that includes the activated / deactivated SP SRS resource set. If the C field 3050 is set to 0, then the BWP identification field of this SRS resource set 3030 also indicates the identity of the BWP that includes all resources indicated by the resource IDi field. The length of the BWP ID field of the SRS resource set 3030 is 2 bits.

[0050] The C field 3050 may indicate whether the octets including the resource serving cell ID field 3092 (e.g., 3092-1, ..., 3092-M, where M may be any suitable integer) and the resource BWP ID field 3094 (e.g., 3094-1, ..., 3094-M, where M may be any suitable integer) are present. If this C field 3050 is set to 1, then the octets including the resource serving cell ID field 3092 and the resource BWP ID field 3094 are present, otherwise they are not present.

[0051] The Supplemental UL (SUL) field 3060 may indicate whether the MAC CE applies to a normal UL (NUL) carrier configuration or to a SUL carrier configuration, where the SUL field 3060 is set to 1 to indicate that it applies to a SUL carrier configuration, and the SUL field 3060 is set to 0 to indicate that it applies to a NUL carrier configuration.

[0052] The SP SRS Resource Set ID field 3070 may indicate the SP SRS Resource Set ID identified by the SRS-ResourceSetId that is to be activated or deactivated. The SP SRS Resource Set ID field 3070 is 4 bits in length.

[0053] The Fi field 3080 (e.g., 3080-1, ..., 3080-M, where M may be any suitable integer) may indicate the type of resource used as a spatial association for the SRS resource in the SP SRS resource set indicated by the SP SRS Resource Set ID field 3070. F0 refers to the first SRS resource in the resource set, F1 to the second SRS resource, etc. The Fi field 3080 is set to 1 to indicate that a non-zero power (NZP) CSI-RS resource index is used, and the Fi field 3080 is set to 0 to indicate that either an SSB index or an SRS resource index is used. The Fi field 3080 is 1 bit in length. This field is only present if MAC CE is used for activation, i.e., the A / D field is set to 1.

[0054] The Resource IDi field 3090 (e.g., 3090-1, ..., 3090-M, where M can be any suitable integer) contains identifiers of resources used for spatial relationship derivation for SRS resource i. Resource ID0 refers to the first SRS resource in the resource set, Resource ID1 refers to the second SRS resource, etc. If the Fi field 3080 is set to 0 and the first bit of this field 3090 is set to 1, the remainder of this field contains the SSB-Index. If Fi is set to 0 and the first bit of this field 3090 is set to 0, the remainder of this field contains the SRS-ResourceId. The Resource IDi field 3090 is 7 bits in length. This Resource IDi field 3090 is only present if the A / D field is set to 1.

[0055] The resource serving cell IDi field 3092 may indicate the identity of the serving cell in which the resources used for spatial relationship derivation for SRS resource i are located. The resource serving cell IDi field 3092 is 5 bits in length. The resource BWP IDi 3094 may indicate the UL BWP as a codepoint of the DCI bandwidth portion indicator field in which the resources used for spatial relationship derivation for SRS resource i are located. The resource BWP IDi 3094 is 2 bits in length. The R field 3040 (e.g., 3040-1, 3040-2, 3040-3, ..., 3040-P, where P may be any suitable number) may be reserved bits. As shown in Figure 3, the field 3040-2 belonging to the reserved bits may indicate that the SP-SRS activation is for a dormant SCell UL transmission.

[0056] The first device 110-1 may determine a set of resources based on the MAC CE 2045. For example, if this D field 3040-1 is set to 1, the first device 110-1 may determine that the SP-SRS is activated only for the dormant SCell.

[0057] The first device 110-1 transmits (2050) the channel information to the second device 120. For example, the channel information may be transmitted on the current UL BWP with periodicity. Alternatively, the first device 110-1 may transmit the channel information on a target UL BWP.

[0058] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, it enables SRS / CSI reporting without duplicating the BWP configuration, thereby saving signaling. It can configure a longer periodicity than required, but reduces the SRS configuration for each UL BWP. There is no need to reconfigure the BWP.

[0059] 4 illustrates a flowchart of an example method 400 implemented in the first device 110, according to some example embodiments of the present disclosure. For purposes of explanation, the method 400 is described from the perspective of the first device 110-1.

[0060] In block 410, the first device 110-1 receives a configuration for transmitting channel information.

[0061] The configuration indicates a periodicity for transmitting channel information when the active DL BWP for the serving cell is a dormant BWP. In some exemplary embodiments, the periodicity may not be shorter than the further periodicity configured and used when the active downlink BWP for the serving cell is a non-dormant BWP. For example, if the configuration indicates 2 and the further periodicity is 100 ms, the periodicity means that it is 2 hours longer than the further periodicity, i.e., 200 ms. In this way, overlapping configurations of UL BWPs are avoided.

[0062] In other exemplary embodiments, the configuration may indicate an offset that may be used to obtain the periodicity. For example, the offset may be rounded up / down to the nearest allowed periodicity value. In some exemplary embodiments, the offset may be an explicit offset value. Alternatively or additionally, the offset may be a multiplier.

[0063] Alternatively, the configuration may indicate a target UL BWP for transmitting channel information when the active DL BWP for the serving cell is a dormant BWP. In some exemplary embodiments, the target UL BWP may be linked to one of the SRS / CSI configurations (i.e., CSI / SRS resource sets) configured for the UL BWP of terminal device 110-1.

[0064] The periodicity may be configured for a cell group cell. In this situation, the periodicity may be common for all serving cells in the cell group configured with a dormant BWP. Alternatively, the periodicity may be configured for each UL BWP of the serving cell. In other words, the periodicity of the UL BWP may be different for active DL BWPs during a dormant BWP.

[0065] In block 420, the first device 110-1 determines whether the active DL BWP is a dormant BWP.

[0066] In some exemplary embodiments, the first device 110-1 may obtain the periodicity.

[0067] Alternatively, the first device 110-1 may obtain an offset that may be used to obtain the periodicity.

[0068] The first device 110-1 may obtain, from the configuration, a target UL BWP for transmitting channel information when the active downlink BWP for the serving cell is on a dormant bandwidth portion. Furthermore, the first device 110-1 may obtain an offset and determine the periodicity of the target UL BWP based on the offset and the further periodicity.

[0069] The first device 110-1 may apply a periodicity to the current UL BWP. For example, if the active DL BWP is a dormant BWP, the first device 110-1 may extend the periodicity of the current UL BWP, for example, from 100 ms to 200 ms. In this situation, the first device 110-1 may still use the current UL BWP, but with a longer periodicity.

[0070] Alternatively, the first device 110-1 may apply the CSI / SRS configuration of the current UL BWP to the target UL BWP. In other embodiments, only the CSI / SRS configuration periodicity is configured separately for the target UL BWP. In a further exemplary embodiment, the periodicity is configured using a semi-persistent SRS configuration, but the indicated periodicity overrides the original configuration.

[0071] In some exemplary embodiments, the first device 110-1 may receive a MAC CE from the second device 120. The MAC CE may indicate a set of resources for transmitting channel information when the active downlink BWP for the serving cell is a dormant BWP. Furthermore, the SRS may be triggered using the existing semi-persistent SRS, because they may also be triggered using the existing SP-SRS activation / deactivation MAC CE (thus, whether to activate the SRS resources is within the network control). For example, each BWP may be configured with multiple settings of resources, and the MAC CE may Semi-persistent The D field 3040-1 may be used to activate / deactivate one or more configurations of (SP) SPS resources. For example, the MAC CE may use one bit to indicate that this SP-SRS indication is valid only for dormant cells. The first device 110-1 may determine a set of resources based on the MAC CE. For example, if this D field 3040-1 is set to 1, the first device 110-1 may determine that the SP-SRS is activated only for dormant SCells.

[0072] In block 430, the first device 110-1 transmits (2050) the channel information to the second device 120. For example, the channel information may be transmitted on the current UL BWP using periodicity. Alternatively, the first device 110-1 may transmit the channel information on a target UL BWP.

[0073] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, it avoids duplication of BWP configuration, thereby conserving signaling, it can configure a longer periodicity than required, but it can reduce SRS configuration for each UL BWP, and it can also conserve resources since it does not require reconfiguration.

[0074] 5 illustrates a flowchart of an example method 500 implemented in the second device 120, according to some example embodiments of the present disclosure. For purposes of explanation, the method 500 is described from the perspective of the second device 120.

[0075] In block 510, the second device 120 transmits a configuration for transmitting channel information. The channel information may be a CSI report. Alternatively or in addition, the channel information may be an uplink reference signal. For example, the uplink reference signal may be an SRS signal. It should be noted that the channel information may be other suitable information / signals. In some exemplary embodiments, the configuration may be transmitted together with the initial configuration of the UL BWP.

[0076] The configuration indicates a periodicity for transmitting channel information when the active DL BWP for the serving cell is a dormant BWP. In some exemplary embodiments, the periodicity may not be shorter than the further periodicity configured and used when the active downlink BWP for the serving cell is a non-dormant BWP. For example, if the configuration indicates 2 and the further periodicity is 100 ms, the periodicity means that it is 2 hours longer than the further periodicity, i.e., 200 ms. In this way, overlapping configurations of UL BWPs are avoided.

[0077] In other exemplary embodiments, the configuration may indicate an offset that may be used to obtain the periodicity. For example, the offset may be rounded up / down to the nearest allowed periodicity value. In some exemplary embodiments, the offset may be an explicit offset value. Alternatively or additionally, the offset may be a multiplier.

[0078] Alternatively, the configuration may indicate a target UL BWP for transmitting channel information when the active DL BWP for the serving cell is a dormant BWP. In some exemplary embodiments, the target UL BWP may be linked to one of the SRS / CSI configurations (i.e., CSI / SRS resource sets) configured for the UL BWP of terminal device 110-1.

[0079] The periodicity may be configured for a cell group cell.

[0080] In block 520, the second device 120 determines that the active DL BWP is a dormant BWP. For example, if the first DL BWP is pre-configured as a dormant BWP and the first DL BWP is the active DL BWP, the second device 120 may determine that the active DL BWP is a dormant BWP. In some exemplary embodiments, the second device 120 may send a command or configuration to the first device 110-1 to move to a dormant UL BWP.

[0081] In block 530, the second device 120 receives channel information from the first device 110-1. For example, the channel information may be transmitted on the current UL BWP with periodicity. Alternatively, the second device 120 may receive the channel information on a target UL BWP.
