AI Technical Summary
Current resource unit indication methods in 802.11ax face significant overhead, especially at wider bandwidths such as 320MHz, which is expected in next-generation standards, leading to inefficient data transmission.
The proposed method involves dividing the transmission bandwidth of a physical protocol data unit (PPDU) into multiple subblocks, with each subblock containing a specific number of resource units (RUs). The method uses a first field within each subblock to indicate the RU allocation to stations, allowing for combinations of subblocks or segments to accommodate larger RUs.
This approach reduces the overhead associated with resource unit indications by quarter or half compared to existing methods, depending on the subblock or segment combination used, thereby supporting more efficient data transmission over wider bandwidths.

Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present application relates to the field of communication technology, and in particular to a resource unit indication method, device, and storage medium. [Background technology]
[0002] Currently, 802.11ax provides a method for indicating resource units (RUs) for downlink (DL) orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) and downlink (DL) multiple user (MU) multiple input multiple output (MIMO). The transmitting side transmits a physical protocol data unit (PPDU). The PPDU includes a high efficient signal field-A (High Efficient-Signal Field-A) and a high efficient signal field-B (High Efficient-Signal Field-B). The HE-SIG-A is used to indicate the symbol length of the HE-SIG-B, the modulation and coding scheme (MCS) of the HE-SIG-B, and the bandwidth of the entire PPDU, etc. When the bandwidth of the PPDU is greater than 20 MHz, the HE-SIG-A is replicated every 20 MHz and then transmitted. The PPDU further includes HE-SIG-B, which provides resource indication information for DL MU MIMO and DL OFDMA. First, HE-SIG-B is coded separately for every 20 MHz. The coding structure of HE-SIG-B for every 20 MHz is shown in FIG. 1. FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram of the coding structure of HE-SIG-B for every 20 MHz according to one embodiment of the present application. The whole HE-SIG-B is divided into two parts: a common field and a per-STA field. The common field includes 1 to N resource unit allocation subfields, a resource unit indication field for the center 26-tone that exists when the bandwidth is greater than or equal to 80 MHz, a Cyclic Redundancy Code (CRC) subfield used for checking, and a tail subfield used for cyclic decoding. In addition, the per-STA field has 1 to M STA fields (User Fields) in resource unit allocation order. Usually, every two of the M STA fields are a group. Every two STA fields are followed by a CRC field and a tail field, except that the last group may have one or two STA fields.
[0003] The indication manner of the resource unit allocation subfield depends on the tone plans in different PPDU bandwidths of 802.11ax. For example, FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram of an 80 MHz tone plan and RU plan according to one embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG. 2, when the bandwidth is 80 MHz, the entire bandwidth includes four resource units in a unit of 242-tone RU. In particular, there is a central 26-tone RU in the middle of the entire bandwidth, which includes two 13-tone subunits. Alternatively, the entire bandwidth may include one entire 996-tone RU, or may include various combinations of 26-tone RU, 52-tone RU, 106-tone RU, 242-tone RU, and 484-tone RU. Furthermore, in the unit of 242-tone RU, the leftmost side of FIG. 2 may be regarded as the lowest frequency, and the rightmost side of FIG. 2 may be regarded as the highest frequency. From left to right, the RUs in the 242-tone RU range may be numbered.
[0004] Furthermore, 802.11ax introduces the concept of a content channel (CC). Figure 3 is a schematic diagram of an indication of HE-SIG-B in a PPDU bandwidth of 80 MHz according to one embodiment of the present application. As shown in Figure 3, when the PPDU bandwidth is 80 MHz, there are two CCs in total, and there are four channels. Therefore, the resource unit allocation information is generally indicated to the four channels based on the structure of CC1, CC2, CC1, CC2 in ascending frequency order. CC1 includes a resource unit allocation subfield within the range of the first and third 242-tone RUs and a corresponding per-STA field within the range. CC2 includes a resource unit subfield within the range of the second and fourth 242-tone RUs and a corresponding per-STA field within the range. In addition, an 80 MHz central 26-tone RU indication is held in each of the two CCs to indicate whether the resource unit is used to transmit data.
[0005] In summary, in the prior art, resource unit indication in the case of 20MHz to 160MHz is implemented, which brings about a relatively large overhead. For example, when the PPDU bandwidth is 80MHz, each CC includes two resource unit allocation indication subfields, and includes a field for each STA of all users in two 242-tone RUs, resulting in a relatively large overhead. When a PPDU bandwidth of 320MHz is considered in the next generation standard, the overhead is further doubled. Therefore, how the new PPDU in the next generation standard of 802.11ax supports OFDMA or MU-MIMO transmission in a wider bandwidth (e.g., 320MHz) with less overhead is a problem that needs to be considered in this application. [0076] Before describing the technical solution of the present application, the following will first explain the terminology related to the present application.
[0077] 1.OFDMA transmission
[0078] Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs) have evolved from 802.11a / g to 802.11n and 802.11ac, and now to the currently described 802.11ax, and the bandwidths supported by the PPDU of WLANs are shown in Table 1. [Table 1] [Table 1]
[0079] The 802.11n standard is referred to as High Throughput (HT), the 802.11ac standard is referred to as Very High Throughput (VHT), and 802.11ax is referred to as High Efficient (HE). Standards prior to HT, such as 802.11a / g, are collectively referred to as Non-High Throughput (Non-HT).
[0080] The 802.11 standards prior to the 802.11ax standard support Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) transmission, where the entire bandwidth is centrally assigned to one STA or one group of STAs for Single User (SU) transmission or Downlink Multiple User Multiple Input Multiple Output (DL MU MIMO) transmission. 802.11ax newly introduces Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) technology, where the entire bandwidth is divided into one or multiple RUs. 802.11ax introduces DL OFDMA and uplink (UL) OFDMA. 802.11ax has a total of four packet formats. HE MU PPDU is mainly used to carry out DL OFDMA and DL MU MIMO transmission. FIG. 4 is a schematic structural diagram of a high-efficiency multi-user physical protocol data unit (HE MU PPDU). As shown in FIG. 4, the PPDU is divided into a preamble portion and a data field portion, and the preamble portion includes two HE signal field portions, HE-SIG-A and HE-SIG-B. As mentioned above, the HE-SIG-A is used to indicate the bandwidth of the PPDU, the number of symbols included in the HE-SIG-B, the MCS used for the HE-SIG-B, and whether the HE-SIG-B uses a compressed mode, etc. As shown in FIG. 1, the HE-SIG-B mainly includes a common field and a per-STA field. The common field includes 1 to N resource unit allocation subfields, a central 26-tone resource unit (26-tone RU) indication field that exists when the bandwidth is greater than or equal to 80 MHz, a CRC subfield used for checking, and a tail subfield used for cyclic decoding. In addition, the per-STA field has 1 to M STA fields (User Fields) in resource unit allocation order. Usually, every two of the M STA fields are a group. Every two STA fields are followed by a CRC field and a tail field, except that the last group may have one or two STA fields.
[0081] 2. Channels and Access
[0082] The 802.11 standard normally uses 20MHz as the basic bandwidth, and the supported bandwidths are generally exponential integer multiples of 20MHz (20MHz, 40MHz, 80MHz and 160MHz). 20MHz is used as one channel. For example, FIG. 5 is a schematic diagram of a channel plan in a 160MHz bandwidth according to one embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG. 5, the entire 160MHz channel is divided into a Primary 20MHz (P20) channel (alternatively referred to as a Primary channel), a Secondary 20MHz (S20) channel, a Secondary 40MHz (S40) channel and a Secondary 80MHz (S80) channel.
[0083] 3. Segment (Seg) technology in the 802.11ax / ac standard
[0084] In the 802.11ax / ac standard, the transmission bandwidth of the PPDU is divided into 80 MHz segment units to form two segments when the bandwidth is 160 MHz or 80 MHz+80 MHz.
[0085] In addition, as mentioned above, currently, HE-SIG-B in 802.11ax provides resource unit indication methods for DL OFDMA and DL MU MIMO. The indication method of the resource unit allocation subfield depends on the tone plan in different PPDU bandwidths of 802.11ax.
[0086] Figure 6 is a schematic diagram of a 20 MHz tone plan and RU plan according to one embodiment of the present application. As shown in Figure 6, when the bandwidth is 20 MHz, the entire bandwidth may include one entire 242-tone RU, or may include various combinations of 26-tone RU, 52-tone RU, and 106-tone RU. Some guard tones, empty tones (tones marked with 1 in the figure are empty tones, and 1 indicates that the number of empty tones is 1), or direct current (DC) tones are included in addition to the RUs used to transmit data.
[0087] 7 is a schematic diagram of a 40 MHz tone plan and RU plan according to one embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG. 7, when the bandwidth is 40 MHz, the entire bandwidth is roughly equivalent to a duplicate of the 20 MHz tone plan, and the entire bandwidth may include one entire 484-tone RU, or may include various combinations of 26-tone RUs, 52-tone RUs, 106-tone RUs, and 242-tone RUs.
[0088] As mentioned above, FIG. 2 shows the tone plan and RU plan for 80 MHz. As shown in FIG. 2, when the bandwidth is 80 MHz, the entire bandwidth includes four resource units in units of 242-tone RUs. In particular, a central 26-tone RU including two 13-tone subunits is further present in the center of the entire bandwidth. The entire bandwidth may include one entire 996-tone RU, or may include various combinations of 26-tone RUs, 52-tone RUs, 106-tone RUs, 242-tone RUs, and 484-tone RUs.
[0089] If the bandwidth is 160MHz or 80MHz+80MHz, the entire bandwidth may be considered to be a duplicate of two 80MHz tone plans, and the entire bandwidth may include one entire 2*996-tone RU, or may include various combinations of 26-tone RUs, 52-tone RUs, 106-tone RUs, 242-tone RUs, 484-tone RUs and 996-tone RUs.
[0090] In the various tone plans discussed above, in a 242-tone RU unit, the left-most may be considered the lowest frequency and the right-most may be considered the highest frequency in the case of Figure 2, Figure 6 or Figure 7. The 242-tone RUs may be numbered from left to right.
[0091] As mentioned above, 802.11ax introduces the concept of content channel CC. Figure 8 is a schematic diagram of an indication of a HE-SIG-B signal in a PPDU bandwidth of 20 MHz according to one embodiment of the present application. As shown in Figure 8, when the PPDU bandwidth is only 20 MHz, the HE-SIG-B includes only one CC, and the CC includes one resource unit allocation subfield used to indicate resource unit allocation indication within the data part 242 tone RU. The resource unit allocation subfield is 8 bits, and the combination scheme of all possible resource unit arrangements in the 242 tone RU is indicated by indexing. In addition, for RUs whose size is greater than or equal to 106 tones, the number of users (i.e., the number of STAs) performing SU / MU-MIMO transmission in the RU is also indicated by indexing. The index of the resource unit allocation subfield is shown in Table 2. [Table 2] [Table 2] [Table 3] [Table 4]
[0092] As shown in Table 2, the first column indicates an 8-bit index of the resource unit allocation subfield, and the middle columns #1 to #9 indicate a combination of different resource unit arrangements, where the numbers in the table indicate the number of tones included in the resource unit. For example, index 00111y2y1y0 indicates that the entire range of 242-tone RUs is divided into a total of four RUs, including a 52-tone RU, a 52-tone RU, a 26-tone RU, and a 106-tone RU. In addition, the third column indicates the number of entries to which the same resource unit is assigned. The number of entries is used to indicate the number of users included in the 106-tone RU. For example, when indicating resource unit allocation, the number of entries corresponding to 00010y2y1y0 is 8, since y2y1y0 is further used to indicate the number of users included in the 106-tone RU, which corresponds to 1 to 8 users (i.e., stations). Each value of y2y1y0 can be 0 or 1.
[0093] In addition, when the PPDU bandwidth is greater than 20 MHz, the resource unit allocation subfield may further indicate the case of a resource unit greater than a 242-tone RU, such as a 484-tone RU or a 996-tone RU, where the resource unit greater than a 242-tone RU indicates that the STA has been assigned a resource unit of the greater RU, including the 242-tone RU in which the STA is located.
[0094] Furthermore, the station information of the STAs allocated within the 242 tone RU range is indicated in a per-STA field in the resource allocation order.
[0095] 9 is a schematic diagram of an indication of an HE-SIG-B signal in a PPDU bandwidth of 40 MHz according to an embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG. 9, when the PPDU bandwidth is 40 MHz, there are two HE-SIG-B content channels, CC1 and CC2. The first HE-SIG-B channel CC1 includes a resource unit allocation subfield within the first 242-tone RU and a corresponding per-STA field. The second HE-SIG-B channel CC2 includes a resource unit allocation subfield within the second 242-tone RU and a corresponding per-STA field.
[0096] FIG. 3 shows the indication of the HE-SIG-B signal in the PPDU bandwidth of 80 MHz. As shown in FIG. 3, when the PPDU bandwidth is 80 MHz, there are two more CCs, and there are four channels in total.
[0097] FIG. 10 is a schematic diagram of an indication of a HE-SIG-B signal in a PPDU bandwidth of 160 MHz according to an embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG. 10, when the PPDU bandwidth is 160 MHz, there are two more CCs, and there are a total of eight channels. Therefore, the resource unit allocation information is generally indicated to the eight channels based on the structure of CC1, CC2, CC1, CC2, CC1, CC2, CC1, CC2 in ascending frequency order. CC1 includes a resource unit allocation subfield within the range of the first, third, fifth and seventh 242-tone RUs and a corresponding per-STA field within the range. CC2 includes a resource unit subfield within the range of the second, fourth, sixth and eighth 242-tone RUs and a corresponding per-STA field within the range. In addition, a RU indication of the two 80 MHz central 26 tones of 160 MHz is held in each of the two CCs to indicate whether the resource unit is used to transmit data.
[0098] In addition, for MU-MIMO in full bandwidth mode, 802.11ax indicates in HE-SIG-A that HE-SIG-B is in compressed mode and the number of users performing full bandwidth MU-MIMO transmission. In this case, HE-SIG-B does not have a common field and directly indicates per-STA fields.
[0099] As mentioned above, in the prior art, resource unit indication in the case of 20MHz to 160MHz is implemented, which brings about a relatively large overhead. For example, when the PPDU bandwidth is 80MHz, each CC includes two resource unit allocation indication subfields, including a field for each STA of all users in two 242-tone RUs. As a result, the overhead is relatively large. In another example, when the PPDU bandwidth is 160MHz, each CC includes four resource unit allocation subfields, including a field for each STA of all users in four 242-tone RUs. As a result, the overhead is relatively large. When a PPDU bandwidth of 320MHz is considered in the next generation standard, the overhead is further doubled. Therefore, how to support OFDMA or MU-MIMO transmission in a wider bandwidth (e.g., 320MHz) with less overhead is a problem that needs to be considered in this application.
[0100] It should be noted that the technical solutions in the embodiments of the present application may be applied to a communication system supporting the next-generation standard of 802.11ax or further next-generation standards in wireless local area networks (WLANs), or may be applied to another communication system supporting OFDM transmission in a large bandwidth. In this application, for ease of explanation, the next-generation standard of 802.11ax is referred to as Extremely High Throughput (EHT). It should be understood that the next-generation standard of 802.11ax may have other names, such as Extreme Throughput (XT) or Ultra High Throughput (UHT). This is not limited in this application. For ease of explanation, a WLAN system is used as an example for explanation in the embodiments of the present application. FIG. 11 is a schematic diagram of an application scenario according to an embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG. 11, the application scenario may include one or more access points (AP) and one or more stations (STA). The access point (AP) may be a device configured to communicate with the station. An access point can be any device, or chip, that can be located on such a device, that has wireless transmission and reception capabilities. The device includes, but is not limited to, an evolved NodeB (eNB), a radio network controller (RNC), a NodeB (NodeB, NB), a base station controller (BSC), a base transceiver station (BTS), a home base station (e.g., a home evolved NodeB or home NodeB (HNB)), a baseband unit (BBU), an access point (AP) in a wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) system, a wireless relay node, a wireless backhaul node, a transmission point (TP), and a transmission and reception point (TRP), etc. Alternatively, the device may be a base station supporting a 5G protocol, etc. The station STA may be a user equipment, an access terminal, a subscriber unit, a subscriber station, a mobile station, a mobile console, a remote station, a remote terminal, a mobile device, a user terminal, a terminal, a wireless communication device, a user agent, or a user equipment. Alternatively, the station may be a mobile phone, a cordless telephone set, a session initiation protocol (SIP) phone, a station in a wireless local area network, an in-vehicle device, a wearable device, a terminal device in a future 5G network, or a terminal device in a future evolved public land mobile network (PLMN), etc.
[0101] The technical solution in this application is applicable to data communication between an AP and one or more STAs, and also applicable to communication between an AP and multiple APs, and also applicable to communication between a STA and multiple STAs. In the following, the data communication between an AP and multiple STAs is used as an example to describe the technical solution in this application.
[0102] The main steps of the technical solution in this application are as follows: AP sends a PPDU to a STA. The transmission bandwidth of the PPDU is divided into M sub-blocks. The PPDU includes an EHT-SIG-B (i.e., the first field in the following embodiment 1 and embodiment 2. Alternatively, the EHT-SIG-B includes the first field when the sub-block includes multiple CCs) corresponding to each sub-block. Optionally, the PPDU further includes an EHT-SIG-A (i.e., the second field in embodiment 1 and embodiment 2. Alternatively, the EHT-SIG-A includes the second field when the sub-block includes multiple CCs) corresponding to each sub-block. The AP indicates the RU allocation status of the STA in the sub-block corresponding to the first field by using the first field in each sub-block. If the size of the RU indicated by the first field is smaller than or equal to the maximum RU included in the sub-block corresponding to the first field, the RU indicated by the first field is only allocated to the STA in the sub-block to which the STA belongs. If the size of the RU indicated by the first field is larger than the maximum RU included in the sub-block corresponding to the first field, the RU indicated by the first field is a combination of sub-blocks or a combination of segments.
[0103] After receiving the PPDU, the STA obtains the first field of the subblock to which the STA belongs, and uses the first field to determine the RU assigned to the STA, which is the subblock, subblock combination, or segment combination corresponding to the first field. [Embodiment 1]
[0104] Specifically, Figure 12 is a flowchart of a resource unit indication method according to an embodiment of the present application. As shown in Figure 12, the method includes the following steps:
[0105] Step S1201: An AP generates a PPDU, where a transmission bandwidth of the PPDU is divided into M sub-blocks, M is an integer greater than 1, the transmission bandwidth is greater than or equal to 80 MHz, the PPDU includes M first fields, the M first fields have a one-to-one correspondence with the M sub-blocks, the first fields are transmitted on the corresponding sub-blocks, and the first fields are used to indicate an RU assigned by the AP to at least one of the multiple STAs.
[0106] Step S1202: The AP transmits a PPDU to multiple STAs.
[0107] A station receiving the PPDU may parse a data field of the PPDU based on the first field. Specifically, the station receiving the PPDU may determine a specific RU to which the STA's data is carried based on the first field. Furthermore, the STA may receive and parse the STA's data in the corresponding RU.
[0108] Optionally, in a sub-block unit of 80 MHz, a sub-block is understood as a "Segment (Seg)" in the 802.11ax / ac standard. In a sub-block unit of 160 MHz or wider bandwidth, a sub-block is a part, and a sub-block includes at least one segment.
[0109] Optionally, in this embodiment of the present application, the PPDU includes a preamble portion and a data field portion. The preamble portion includes M first fields (the first fields may be understood as EHT-SIG-B of each subblock, or as resource unit allocation subfields in EHT-SIG-B. For convenience, the first fields are hereinafter regarded as resource unit allocation subfields in EHT-SIG-B, and the resource unit indication method is described). Optionally, the PPDU may further include M second fields (the second fields may be understood as EHT-SIG-A).
[0110] Furthermore, as described above, the first field is used to indicate an RU allocated by the AP to at least one of the multiple STAs. If the RU indicated by the first field is smaller than or equal to the maximum RU included in the subblock corresponding to the first field, the RU indicated by the first field is located in the subblock corresponding to the first field. If the RU indicated by the first field is larger than the maximum RU included in the subblock corresponding to the first field, the RU indicated by the first field is a subblock combination including multiple subblocks, or the RU indicated by the first field is a segment combination including all or some segments included in multiple subblocks. For example, STA1 and STA2 correspond to subblock 1, and if the RU allocated to STA1 and STA2 is smaller than the maximum RU in subblock 1, the AP uses the first field corresponding to subblock 1 to indicate that the RU allocated to STA1 and STA2 is the first 242-tone RU in subblock 1. In another example, if STA3 and STA4 correspond to subblock 2, and the RUs assigned to STA3 and STA4 are greater than the maximum RU in subblock 2, the AP uses a first field corresponding to subblock 2 to indicate that the RUs assigned to STA3 and STA4 are combined RUs of subblocks including subblock 1 and subblock 2.
[0111] The following further describes the resource unit indication method by using the following Example 1 and Example 2.
[0112] Example 1
[0113] The following describes the resource unit indication method by using an example where the transmission bandwidth of the PPDU is 320 MHz and M=4 (in a sub-block unit of 80 MHz, the whole bandwidth is divided into 4 sub-blocks).
[0114] Figure 13 is a schematic diagram of a 320MHz bandwidth in 80MHz sub-block units according to one embodiment of the present application. As shown in Figure 13, the 320MHz bandwidth is divided into four sub-blocks: Part1, Part2, Part3 and Part4. In each sub-block, the AP configures the corresponding P20, S20 and S40 channels for the STAs of the sub-block to which the STAs belong. The entire bandwidth can be considered to have multiple (temporary) P20 channels.
[0115] As mentioned above, the first field is used to indicate the RU allocated by the AP to at least one of the STAs. Specifically, FIG. 14 is a schematic diagram of an EHT-SIG-B in an 80 MHz subblock unit (including two CCs) according to one embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG. 14, each subblock includes four channels and two CCs. In Part 1, CC11 carries the following information: resource unit allocation subfields (the first fields corresponding to Part 1) within the range of the first 242-tone RU and the third 242-tone RU of Part 1, and per-STA information of STAs allocated to the corresponding 242-tone RU range. CC12 carries the following information: resource unit allocation subfields (the first fields corresponding to Part 1) within the range of the second 242-tone RU and the fourth 242-tone RU of Part 1, and per-STA information of STAs allocated to the corresponding 242-tone RU range. In Part 2, CC21 carries the following information: resource unit allocation subfields within the range of the fifth 242-tone RU and the seventh 242-tone RU of Part 2 (first field corresponding to Part 2), and per-STA information of STAs assigned to the corresponding 242-tone RU range. CC22 carries the following information: resource unit allocation subfields within the range of the sixth 242-tone RU and the eighth 242-tone RU of Seg2 (first field corresponding to Part 2), and per-STA information of STAs assigned to the corresponding 242-tone RU range. In Part 3, CC31 carries the following information: resource unit allocation subfields within the range of the ninth 242-tone RU and the eleventh 242-tone RU of Seg3 (first field corresponding to Part 3), and per-STA information of STAs assigned to the corresponding 242-tone RU range.CC32 carries the following information: resource unit allocation subfields within the range of the 10th 242-tone RU and the 12th 242-tone RU of Seg3 (first field corresponding to Part 3), and per-STA information for STAs assigned to the corresponding 242-tone RU range. In Part 4, CC41 carries the following information: resource unit allocation subfields within the range of the 13th 242-tone RU and the 15th 242-tone RU of Seg3 (first field corresponding to Part 4), and per-STA information for STAs assigned to the corresponding 242-tone RU range. CC42 carries the following information: resource unit allocation subfields within the range of the 14th 242-tone RU and the 16th 242-tone RU of Seg4 (first field corresponding to Part 4), and per-STA information for STAs assigned to the corresponding 242-tone RU range.
[0116] Please note that the first 242-tone RU through the sixteenth 242-tone RU are described for the entire bandwidth of the PPDU.
[0117] Note that Figure 14 includes two CCs, and in fact includes four CCs that may be used alternatively. Specifically, Figure 15 is a schematic diagram of an EHT-SIG-B in an 80 MHz subblock unit (including four CCs) according to one embodiment of the present application. As shown in Figure 15, in this case, each CC needs to indicate the resource unit allocation subfield within only one 242-tone RU to further reduce overhead.
[0118] For the Resource Unit Allocation subfield, if the size of the RU assigned to the STA is less than or equal to a 996-tone RU (i.e., the maximum RU in 80 MHz subblock units), the Resource Units subfield shown in Table 2 may be used to indicate the resource.
[0119] If the size of the RU allocated to the STA is larger than a 996-tone RU, the resources may be indicated in one of the following ways:
[0120] In the first scheme, the combined RUs of some or all of the subblocks are indicated by using a Reserved field.
[0121] Specifically, when the RU indicated by the resource unit allocation subfield is a combination of subblocks, the correspondence between the resource unit allocation subfield and the combination RU of the subblocks includes at least one entry shown in Table 3: [Table 3] [Table 5]
[0122] Part1, Part2, Part3 and Part4 are four different sub-blocks.
[0123] Optionally, the first value, the second value, the third value, the fourth value, the fifth value, the sixth value, the seventh value, the eighth value, the ninth value, the tenth value and the eleventh value are all 8 bits in length. In other words, the resource unit allocation subfield may be 8 bits.
[0124] It should be noted that the mapping relationship between the resource unit allocation subfield and the subblock combination may vary and is not limited to the cases listed in this embodiment of the present application. For example, the mapping relationship may alternatively be as follows: when the resource unit allocation subfield is a first value, the subblock combination is a combination of Part1 and Part3; when the resource unit allocation subfield is a second value, the subblock combination is a combination of Part1 and Part2. It will be understood that other alternative cases are also within the scope of protection of the embodiment of the present application. The subblock identifiers used in the table are logical identifiers of the subblocks. Generally, subblock identifier 1 (Part1) indicates the lowest frequency 80MHz channel including the primary 20MHz channel, subblock identifier 2 (Part2) indicates the second lowest frequency 80MHz channel adjacent to Part1, subblock identifier 3 (Part3) indicates the higher frequency 80MHz channel adjacent to Part2, and subblock identifier 4 (Part4) indicates the highest frequency 80MHz channel adjacent to Part3. The above describes a general mapping relationship between sub-block identifiers and channels. There are also other mapping relationships between sub-block identifiers and channels, which are not limited in this application.
[0125] In addition, the above table lists all possible combination cases of four sub-blocks. In practical application, only some combination cases in the above table may be included. In one example, the resource unit allocation subfield may be a combination of sub-blocks that are continuous in the frequency domain. For example, only 6 of the above 11 combination cases may be included: Part1+Part2, Part2+Part3, Part3+Part4, Part1+Part2+Part3, Part2+Part3+Part4, and Part1+Part2+Part3+Part4.
[0126] For example, an example of the correspondence between the resource unit allocation subfield and the combined RU of the indicated subblock is shown in Table 4. [Table 4] [Table 6]
[0127] For example, when the sub-block combination Part1+Part2 is assigned to at least one STA and its size is 2*996 tones, the value of the resource unit allocation subfield may be 01110100.
[0128] As mentioned above, the resource unit allocation subfield is used to indicate the RUs allocated to at least one STA. In addition, the EHT-SIG-B may include indication information, and the indication information is used to indicate the number of at least one STA, i.e., the number of STAs transmitting data in the RU indicated by the resource unit allocation subfield. Furthermore, when the RU indicated by the resource unit allocation subfield is a combination of subblocks, the indication manner of the indication information includes the following two cases:
[0129] In the first case, for each subblock, all CCs included in the subblock hold the same indication information, and the indication information is used to indicate the number of STAs transmitting data in the combined RU of the subblock indicated by the resource unit allocation subfield.
[0130] In the second case, for a subblock, the subblock carries multiple CCs, and all CCs carry different indication information, and the number of STAs indicated by the indication information of each CC is a part of the number of STAs transmitting data in the combined RU of the subblock, and each CC includes the user information field of this part of STAs. It is assumed that the subblock includes CC1 and CC2, CC1 may carry first indication information, and CC2 carries second indication information, and the first indication information and the second indication information jointly indicate the number of STAs transmitting data in the combined RU of the subblock indicated by the resource unit allocation subfield. For example, the number may be the sum of the number of STAs indicated by the first indication information and the number of STAs indicated by the second indication information. For example, five STAs perform transmission in the RU, CC1 includes user information fields of three of the five STAs, the number of STAs indicated by the first indication information is three, and CC2 includes user information fields of two STAs other than the three STAs, and the number of STAs indicated by the second indication information is two. Therefore, the number of STAs indicated by the first instruction information and the second instruction information together is five.
[0131] An example is used for the description, in which the RU indicated by the resource unit allocation subfield includes a combination of Part1 and Part2 (Part1+Part2). Figure 16 is a schematic diagram of a subblock combination-based EHT-SIG-B according to one embodiment of the present application. As shown in Figure 16, the EHT-SIG-B includes a resource unit subfield used to indicate a subblock combination Part1+Part2, as well as indication information, which is used to indicate the number of STAs that transmit data by using Part1+Part2. The indication method of the indication information can be the two methods mentioned above. Details will not be described again here.
[0132] Note that since EHT-SIG-B includes a resource unit subfield used to indicate the subblock combination Part1+Part2, the resource unit allocation subfields of the second, third and fourth 242-tone RUs (indicated by dashed boxes in the figure) do not need to repeatedly indicate the subblock combination Part1+Part2. Indeed, to ensure a consistent field format, the resource unit allocation subfields of the second, third and fourth 242-tone RUs may alternatively repeatedly indicate the subblock combination Part1+Part2. In other words, the two resource unit subfields on CC11 have the same value, and the RUs indicated by the two resource unit subfields are both Part1+Part2. This is not limited in this application. In this case, the center 26-tone RU does not exist and may therefore be set to 0, indicating that the 26-tone RU is not individually assigned to any STA.
[0133] On this basis, for a transmission bandwidth of 320 MHz, each CC in the existing 802.11ax includes a resource unit allocation subfield within eight 242-tone RUs. However, in the first scheme of Example 1, the AP indicates resources based on subblocks, and each CC includes a resource unit allocation subfield within only two 242-tone RUs. Therefore, the resource overhead of the indication scheme provided in this application is reduced by a factor of four compared with that of the indication scheme in 802.11ax.
[0134] In the second scheme, in addition to the subblock combination RU, the resource unit allocation subfield is used to indicate the number of STAs (number of users) that transmit data in the subblock combination RU. The correspondence relationship between the resource unit allocation subfield, the subblock combination RU, and the number of STAs that transmit data in the subblock combination includes at least one of the following entries, and is specifically shown in Table 5: [Table 5] [Table 7] [Table 8] [Table 9]
[0135] Part1, Part2, Part3 and Part4 are four different sub-blocks.
[0136] Optionally, the lengths of the first value to the 88th value are all 9 bits. In other words, the resource unit allocation subfield may be 9 bits.
[0137] Optionally, the values of the first number, the second number, the third number, the fourth number, the fifth number, the sixth number, the seventh number and the eighth number in Table 5 are integers greater than or equal to 1 and less than or equal to 8. For example, the first number may be 1. The mapping relationships shown in Table 5 only show all the corresponding relationships.
[0138] Furthermore, the mapping relationship between the resource unit allocation subfield, the combination of subblocks, and the number of STAs may vary and is not limited to the cases listed in this embodiment of the present application. For example, the mapping relationship may alternatively be as follows: when the resource unit allocation subfield is a first value, the combination of subblocks is a combination of Part1 and Part3, and the number of users is a first number; when the resource unit allocation subfield is a second value, the combination of subblocks is a combination of Part1 and Part2, and the number of users is a first number. It should be understood that other alternative cases are also within the scope of protection of the embodiment of the present application. The subblock identifiers used in the table are logical identifiers of the subblocks. Typically, subblock identifier 1 (Part1) indicates the lowest frequency 80 MHz channel including the primary 20 MHz channel, subblock identifier 2 (Part2) indicates the second lowest frequency 80 MHz channel adjacent to Part1, subblock identifier 3 (Part3) indicates the higher frequency 80 MHz channel adjacent to Part2, and subblock identifier 4 (Part4) indicates the highest frequency 80 MHz channel adjacent to Part3. The above describes a general mapping relationship between subblock identifiers and channels. There are also other mapping relationships between subblock identifiers and channels. This is not limited in this application.
[0139] In addition, the above table lists all possible combination cases of four sub-blocks. In practical application, only a part of all possible combination cases in the above table may be included. In one example, the resource unit allocation subfield may be a combination of sub-blocks that are continuous in the frequency domain. For example, only six of the above eleven combination cases may be included: Part1+Part2, Part2+Part3, Part3+Part4, Part1+Part2+Part3, Part2+Part3+Part4, and Part1+Part2+Part3+Part4.
[0140] For example, an example of the correspondence between the value of the resource unit allocation subfield and the combination RU of the indicated subblock and the number of users is shown in Table 6. [Table 6] [Table 10] [Table 11]
[0141] x4x3x2x1x0 is a combination of 0s and 1s, and the value of x4x3x2x1x0 can be any of 32 combinations (00000 to 11111). For example, x4x3x2x1x0 is 0000. Similarly, x7x6x5x4x3x2x1x0 is a combination of 0s and 1s, and the value of x7x6x5x4x3x2x1x0 can be any of 256 combinations (00000000 to 11111111). For example, x7x6x5x4x3x2x1x0 is 00000000.
[0142] It should be noted that when the 8-bit indication is still used, the reservation entry is not enough to indicate all cases, and therefore it can be seen that some of the aforementioned cases may be indicated. In another embodiment, the resource unit allocation subfield may be extended from 8 bits to 9 bits (0 or 1 in parentheses in Table 6 indicates that 1 bit is added). When the resource unit allocation subfield is 9 bits, the resource unit allocation subfield may correspond to all the correspondences listed in Table 6. Furthermore, the number of users transmitting data in a combination of subblocks may be extended to more than 8 (e.g., 16).
[0143] Optionally, the combination of subblocks includes a subblock corresponding to a resource unit allocation subfield. For example, when the subblock corresponding to the resource unit allocation subfield is Part1, the combination of subblocks may be Part1+Part2, Part1+Part3, Part1+Part4, or Part1+Part2+Part3, etc. Therefore, different resource indication methods may be designed for different subblocks. As shown in Table 7, the combination of subblocks indicated by the resource unit allocation subfield includes a subblock corresponding to the resource unit allocation subfield, so that the resource overhead may be further reduced. [Table 7] [Table 12] [Table 13]
[0144] Part1, Part2, Part3 and Part4 are four different sub-blocks.
[0145] Optionally, the first value, the second value, the third value, the fourth value, the fifth value, the sixth value, the seventh value, the eighth value, the ninth value, and the tenth value are all 9 bits in length. In other words, the resource unit allocation subfield may be 9 bits.
[0146] Optionally, the values of the first number, the second number, the third number, the fourth number, the fifth number, the sixth number, the seventh number, the eighth number, the ninth number and the tenth number in Table 7 are integers greater than or equal to 1 and less than or equal to 8. For example, the first number may be 1. The mapping relationship shown in Table 7 shows only a part of the corresponding relationship. For example, Table 7 may be further extended. For example, Table 7 includes an eleventh value, and the corresponding combination of sub-blocks and the number of users is Part1+Part2 and the eleventh number, and the eleventh number may be 2.
[0147] For example, an example of the correspondence between the value of the resource unit allocation subfield and the number of RUs and STAs of the indicated subblock combination is shown in Table 8. [Table 8] [Table 14] [Table 15]
[0148] On this basis, for a transmission bandwidth of 320 MHz, each CC in the existing 802.11ax includes a resource unit allocation subfield within eight 242-tone RUs. However, in the second scheme of example 1, the AP indicates resources based on subblocks, and each CC includes a resource unit allocation subfield within only two 242-tone RUs. Therefore, the resource overhead of the indication scheme provided in the present application is reduced by a factor of four compared with the resource overhead of the indication scheme in 802.11ax. Furthermore, the combination of subblocks indicated by the resource unit allocation subfield includes a subblock corresponding to the resource unit allocation subfield, so that the resource overhead can be further reduced.
[0149] In the third scheme, the combination of sub-blocks is indicated by the compressed mode. Specifically, the PPDU includes an EHT-SIG-A corresponding to each sub-block and an EHT-SIG-B corresponding to each sub-block. The EHT-SIG-A holds indication information indicating that the sub-block to which the EHT-SIG-A belongs uses the compressed mode. The EHT-SIG-B includes a resource unit allocation subfield, and the resource unit allocation subfield is used to indicate the combination of sub-blocks. Optionally, for example, FIG. 17 is a schematic diagram of a sub-block combination-based EHT-SIG-B according to an embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG. 17, the EHT-SIG-B includes a resource unit allocation subfield in each of CC11 and CC12, and the resource unit allocation subfield is used to indicate the combination of sub-blocks. Furthermore, the EHT-SIG-B further includes indication information in CC11 and CC12, and the indication information is used to indicate the number of STAs that transmit data in the combination of sub-blocks. Alternatively, EHT-SIG-B includes first and second indication information in CC11 and CC12, respectively, and the first and second indication information are used together to indicate the number of STAs transmitting data in the combination of sub-blocks.
[0150] Further, the resource unit allocation subfield is shown in Table 9, indicating a combination of some or all possible sub-blocks. Optionally, indication information may be further included. In addition, the indication information may alternatively be combined with the resource unit allocation subfield to implement a uniform indication. The entire sub-block indicates that the entire sub-block assigned to the STA has been assigned to the STA as one RU. [Table 9] [Table 16]
[0151] Part1, Part2, Part3 and Part4 are four different sub-blocks.
[0152] Optionally, the first value, the second value, the third value, the fourth value, the fifth value, the sixth value, the seventh value, the eighth value, the ninth value, and the twelfth value are all 8 bits in length. In other words, the resource unit allocation subfield may be 8 bits.
[0153] For example, an example of the correspondence between the value of the resource unit allocation subfield and the combination RU of the indicated subblock is shown in Table 10. [Table 10] [Table 17]
[0154] In the third scheme of example 1, a compressed mode indication scheme is used, so that the resource overhead can be reduced. Furthermore, a sub-block combination indication method is designed in this scheme.
[0155] Example 2: The resource unit indication method is illustrated by using an example where the transmission bandwidth of the PPDU is 320 MHz and M=2 (the whole bandwidth is divided into two sub-blocks with a sub-block unit of 160 MHz).
[0156] FIG. 18 is a schematic diagram of a 320 MHz bandwidth in a 160 MHz subblock unit according to an embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG. 18, the 320 MHz bandwidth is divided into two subblocks, Part1 and Part2. Each subblock includes two segments (of 80 MHz segment units). In each subblock, corresponding P20, S20, S40 and S80 channels are configured for the STA in the subblock to which the STA belongs. The entire bandwidth can be considered to have two (temporary) P20 channels. Each subblock includes two CCs or four CCs. For example, each subblock in FIG. 19A, FIG. 19B and FIG. 19C includes two CCs, and each subblock in FIG. 20A and FIG. 20B includes four CCs. FIG. 19A, FIG. 19B and FIG. 19C are schematic diagrams of an EHT-SIG-B in a 160 MHz subblock unit (two CCs) according to an embodiment of the present application. 20A and 20B are schematic diagrams of EHT-SIG-B in a 160 MHz sub-block unit (4 CCs) according to one embodiment of the present application.
[0157] For the Resource Unit Allocation subfield, if the size of the RU allocated to the STA is less than or equal to 2*996 tones (i.e., the maximum RU in 160 MHz subblock units), the corresponding entry shown in Table 2 is used to indicate the resource unit, and the indication of the RU of 2*996 tones needs to be supplemented. For details, see Table 11. [Table 11] [Table 18]
[0158] If the size of the RU allocated to the STA is larger than a 2*996 tone RU, the resources may be indicated in any of the following ways:
[0159] In the first manner, some or all of the segment combinations are indicated by using a Reserved field. Specifically, when the RU indicated by the resource unit allocation subfield is a segment combination, the correspondence between the resource unit allocation subfield and the segment combination RU includes at least one entry shown in Table 12: [Table 12] [Table 19]
[0160] Seg1, Seg2, Seg3 and Seg4 are four different segments.
[0161] Optionally, the lengths of the first value, the second value, the third value, the fourth value and the fifth value are all 8 bits. In other words, the resource unit allocation subfield may be 8 bits.
[0162] It should be noted that the mapping relationship between the resource unit allocation subfield and the segment combination may vary and is not limited to the cases listed in this embodiment of the present application. For example, the mapping relationship may alternatively be as follows: when the resource unit allocation subfield is a first value, the segment combination is a combination of Seg1, Seg2, and Seg4; when the resource unit allocation subfield is a second value, the segment combination is a combination of Seg1, Seg2, and Seg3. It will be understood that other alternative cases are also within the scope of protection of the embodiment of the present application. The segment identifiers used in the table are logical identifiers of the segments. Typically, segment identifier 1 (Seg1) indicates the lowest frequency 80 MHz channel including the primary 20 MHz channel, segment identifier 2 (Seg2) indicates the second lowest frequency 80 MHz channel adjacent to Seg1, segment identifier 3 (Seg3) indicates the higher frequency 80 MHz channel adjacent to Seg2, and segment identifier 4 (Seg4) indicates the highest frequency 80 MHz channel adjacent to Seg3. The above describes a general mapping relationship between segment identifiers and channels. There are also other mapping relationships between segment identifiers and channels, which are not limited in this application.
[0163] In addition, the above table lists all possible combination cases of four segments. In practical application, only a part of all possible combination cases in the above table may be included. In one example, the resource unit allocation subfield may be a combination of segments that are continuous in the frequency domain. For example, only two of the above five combination cases may be included, and the two are Seg1+Seg2+Seg3 and Seg1+Seg2+Seg4.
[0164] For example, an example of the correspondence between the value of the resource unit allocation subfield and the combined RU of the indicated segment is shown in Table 13. [Table 13] [Table 20]
[0165] As mentioned above, the resource unit allocation subfield is used to indicate the RU allocated to at least one STA. In addition, the EHT-SIG-B may include indication information, which is used to indicate the number of at least one STA, i.e., the number of STAs (number of users) transmitting data in the RU indicated by the resource unit allocation subfield. Furthermore, when the RU indicated by the resource unit allocation subfield is a combination of segments, the holding manner of the indication information includes the following two cases:
[0166] In the first case, for each segment, each CC included in the segment holds the same indication information, and the indication information is used to indicate the number of STAs transmitting data in the combined RU of the segment indicated by the resource unit allocation subfield.
[0167] In the second case, for a segment, it is assumed that the segment includes CC1 and CC2, CC1 may carry first indication information, and CC2 carries second indication information, and the first indication information and the second indication information together indicate the number of STAs transmitting data in the combined RU of the segment indicated by the resource unit allocation subfield. For example, the number may be the sum of the number of STAs indicated by the first indication information and the number of STAs indicated by the second indication information.
[0168] An example in which the RU indicated by the resource unit allocation subfield includes a combination of Seg1+Seg2 is used for illustration.
[0169] Figure 21 is a schematic diagram of a segment combination-based EHT-SIG-B according to one embodiment of the present application. As shown in Figure 21, EHT-SIG-B includes a resource unit allocation subfield used to indicate the segment combination Seg1+Seg2, as well as indication information, which is used to indicate the number of STAs that transmit data by using Seg1+Seg2. Note that since EHT-SIG-B includes a resource unit subfield used to indicate the segment combination Seg1+Seg2, the resource unit allocation subfields of the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth 242-tone RUs (indicated by dashed boxes in the figure) do not need to repeatedly indicate the segment combination Seg1+Seg2. Indeed, to ensure a consistent field format, the resource unit allocation subfields of the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth 242-tone RUs may alternately indicate the repeating segment combination Seg1+Seg2, which is not a limitation in this application. In this case, the center 26-tone RU does not exist and may therefore be set to 0, indicating that the 26-tone RU is not individually assigned to any STA.
[0170] Based on this, for a transmission bandwidth of 320 MHz, each CC in the existing 802.11ax includes a resource unit allocation subfield within eight 242-tone RUs. However, in the first scheme of Example 2, the AP indicates resources based on segments, and each CC includes a resource unit allocation subfield within only four 242-tone RUs. Therefore, the resource overhead of the indication scheme provided in this application is reduced by a factor of two compared with the resource overhead of the indication scheme in 802.11ax.
[0171] In the second manner, in addition to the combined RU of the segment, the resource unit allocation subfield is used to indicate the number of STAs that transmit data in the combined RU of the segment. The correspondence relationship between the resource unit allocation subfield, the combined RU of the segment, and the number of STAs that transmit data in the combined segment includes at least one of the following entries, and is specifically shown in Table 14: [Table 14] [Table 21]
[0172] Seg1, Seg2, Seg3 and Seg4 are four different segments.
[0173] Optionally, the lengths of the first value, the second value, the third value, the fourth value and the fifth value are all 9 bits. In other words, the resource unit allocation subfield may be 9 bits.
[0174] Optionally, the values of the first number, the second number, the third number, the fourth number and the fifth number in Table 14 are integers greater than or equal to 1 and less than or equal to 8. For example, the first number may be 1. The mapping relationship shown in Table 14 shows only a part of the correspondence. For example, Table 14 may be further extended. For example, Table 14 includes a sixth value, and the corresponding combination of segments and the number of STAs is Seg1+Seg2+Seg3 and the sixth number, and the sixth number may be 2.
[0175] Furthermore, the mapping relationship between the resource unit allocation subfield, the combination of segments, and the number of STAs may vary and is not limited to the cases listed in this embodiment of the present application. For example, the mapping relationship may alternatively be as follows: when the resource unit allocation subfield is a first value, the combination of segments is a combination of Seg1, Seg3, and Seg4, and the number of STAs is the seventh number. When the resource unit allocation subfield is a second value, the combination of segments is a combination of Seg1, Seg2, and Seg3, and the number of STAs is the eighth number. It should be understood that other alternative cases are also within the scope of protection of the embodiment of the present application. The segment identifiers used in the table are logical identifiers of segments. Typically, segment identifier 1 (Seg1) indicates the lowest frequency 80 MHz channel including the primary 20 MHz channel, segment identifier 2 (Seg2) indicates the second lowest frequency 80 MHz channel adjacent to Seg1, segment identifier 3 (Seg3) indicates the higher frequency 80 MHz channel adjacent to Seg2, and segment identifier 4 (Seg4) indicates the highest frequency 80 MHz channel adjacent to Seg3. The above describes a general mapping relationship between segment identifiers and channels. There are also other mapping relationships between segment identifiers and channels. This is not limited in this application.
[0176] In addition, the above table lists some possible combination cases of four segments. In practical applications, only some of all possible combination cases in the above table or correspondences not shown in Table 14 may be included. In one example, the resource unit allocation subfield may be a combination of segments that are continuous in the frequency domain. For example, only two of the above five combination cases may be included, which are Seg1+Seg2+Seg3 and Seg1+Seg2+Seg3+Seg4.
[0177] For example, an example of the correspondence between the value of the resource unit allocation subfield and the number of combined RUs and STAs of the indicated segment is shown in Table 15. [Table 15] [Table 22]
[0178] It should be noted that when the 8-bit indication is still used, the reservation entry is not enough to indicate all cases, and therefore it can be seen that some of the aforementioned cases may be indicated. In another embodiment, the resource unit allocation subfield may be extended from 8 bits to 9 bits (0 or 1 in parentheses in Table 15 indicates that 1 bit is added). When the resource unit allocation subfield is 9 bits, the resource unit allocation subfield may correspond to all the correspondences listed in Table 15. Furthermore, the number of users transmitting data in a segment combination may be extended to more than 8 (e.g., 16).
[0179] Optionally, the combination of segments includes a segment corresponding to the resource unit allocation subfield. For example, when the segment corresponding to the resource unit allocation subfield is Seg1, the combination of segments indicated by the resource unit allocation subfield is not Seg2+Seg3+Seg4, and the STA located in Seg4 is not assigned to Seg1+Seg2+Seg3. Therefore, different tables may be designed for different segments. As shown in Table 16, the combination of segments indicated by the resource unit allocation subfield includes a segment corresponding to the resource unit allocation subfield, so that the resource overhead may be further reduced. [Table 16] [Table 23]
[0180] Seg1, Seg2, Seg3 and Seg4 are four different segments.
[0181] Optionally, the lengths of the first value, the second value, the third value, the fourth value and the fifth value are all 9 bits. In other words, the resource unit allocation subfield may be 9 bits.
[0182] Optionally, the values of the first number, the second number, the third number, the fourth number and the fifth number in Table 16 are integers greater than or equal to 1 and less than or equal to 8. For example, the first number may be 1. The mapping relationship shown in Table 16 shows only a part of the correspondence. For example, Table 16 may be further extended. For example, Table 16 includes a sixth value, and the corresponding combination of segments and the number of STAs is Seg1+Seg2+Seg3 and a seventh number, and the seventh number may be 2.
[0183] For example, an example of the correspondence between the value of the resource unit allocation subfield and the number of combined RUs and STAs of the indicated segment is shown in Table 17. [Table 17] [Table 24]
[0184] On this basis, for a transmission bandwidth of 320 MHz, each CC in the existing 802.11ax includes a resource unit allocation subfield within eight 242-tone RUs. However, in the second scheme of example 2, the AP indicates resources based on segments, and each CC includes a resource unit allocation subfield within only four 242-tone RUs. Therefore, the resource overhead of the indication scheme provided in the present application is reduced by a factor of two compared with the resource overhead of the indication scheme in 802.11ax. Furthermore, the combination of segments indicated by the resource unit allocation subfield includes a segment corresponding to the resource unit allocation subfield, so that the resource overhead can be further reduced.
[0185] In the third scheme, the combination of subblocks is indicated by the compressed mode. Specifically, the PPDU includes an EHT-SIG-A corresponding to each subblock and an EHT-SIG-B corresponding to each subblock. The EHT-SIG-A holds indication information indicating that the subblock to which the EHT-SIG-A belongs uses the compressed mode. The EHT-SIG-B includes a resource unit allocation subfield, which is used to indicate the combination of subblocks. Optionally, for example, FIG. 22 is a schematic diagram of a segment combination-based EHT-SIG-B according to an embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG. 22, the EHT-SIG-B includes a resource unit allocation subfield in each of CC1 and CC2, which is used to indicate the combination of segments. Furthermore, the EHT-SIG-B further includes indication information in CC1 and CC2, which is used to indicate the number of STAs that transmit data in the combination of segments. Alternatively, EHT-SIG-B includes first and second indication information in CC1 and CC2, respectively, and the first and second indication information are used together to indicate the number of STAs transmitting data in the combination of segments.
[0186] Further, the resource unit allocation subfield indicates some or all possible segment combinations as shown in Table 18. Optionally, indication information may be further included. In addition, the indication information may alternatively be combined with the indication subfield of the segment combination to implement a uniform indication. The whole segment indicates that the whole segment assigned to the STA has been assigned to the STA as one RU. [Table 18] [Table 25]
[0187] Seg1, Seg2, Seg3 and Seg4 are four different segments.
[0188] Optionally, the lengths of the first value, the second value, the third value, the fourth value, the fifth value and the sixth value are all 8 bits. In other words, the resource unit allocation subfield may be 8 bits.
[0189] It will be understood that the above table lists all possible combinations of segments, and in practical applications, only a portion of all possible combinations may be used.
[0190] For example, an example of the correspondence between the value of the resource unit allocation subfield and the combined RU of the indicated segment is shown in Table 19. [Table 19] [Table 26]
[0191] In the third scheme of example 2, a compressed mode indication scheme is used, so that the resource overhead can be reduced. Furthermore, a method of indicating the combination of segments is designed in this scheme. [Embodiment 2]
[0192] As described in embodiment 1, the PPDU includes an EHT-SIG-A (i.e., the second field in embodiment 1 and embodiment 2. Alternatively, the EHT-SIG-A includes the second field when the subblock includes multiple CCs) corresponding to each subblock, and an EHT-SIG-B (i.e., the first field in the following embodiment 1 and embodiment 2. Alternatively, the EHT-SIG-B includes the first field when the subblock includes multiple CCs) corresponding to each subblock. For example, the second field is EHT-SIG-A and the first field is EHT-SIG-B. The M EHT-SIG-As have a one-to-one correspondence with the M EHT-SIG-Bs. EHT-SIG-A contains at least one of the following information: the number of symbols of EHT-SIG-B corresponding to EHT-SIG-A, the MCS of EHT-SIG-B, the compression mode of EHT-SIG-B, the transmission bandwidth of the PPDU, the basic service set color, the guard interval and the long training sequence size.
[0193] Specifically, Figure 23 is a schematic diagram of EHT-SIG-A in a segment according to one embodiment of the present application. As shown in Figure 23, the entire transmission bandwidth of the PPDU is divided into M sub-blocks in units of 80 MHz or 160 MHz. The AP transmits EHT-SIG-A with the same or different content in every sub-block. The EHT-SIG-A of each sub-block in the PPDU transmitted based on multiple sub-blocks may indicate different content compared with the fully duplicated EHT-SIG-A in the prior art. For example:
[0194] EHT-SIG-B MCS: Different EHT-SIG-B MCS may be set based on the number of information in EHT-SIG-B of each sub-block and the channel quality.
[0195] Basic service set color: An identifier of the basic service set in which the AP is located. Different sub-blocks may be considered as different basic service sets and may indicate different basic service set colors.
[0196] EHT-SIG-B Compression Mode: The compression mode is set based on whether the EHT-SIG-B for each sub-block is a combination of sub-blocks or a combination of segments or occupies the entire sub-block.
[0197] In addition, different sub-blocks may alternatively have the same EHT-SIG-A parameters.
[0198] EHT-SIG-B Symbol Count: Alignment of all parts of the EHT-SIG-B is guaranteed.
[0199] PPDU Bandwidth: Uniformly indicated as the bandwidth of the entire PPDU.
[0200] Guard interval and long training sequence size: The same values are set to ensure alignment of the guard interval of EHT-LTF in all sub-blocks and alignment of the long training sequence of EHT-LTF in all sub-blocks, ensuring symbol level alignment.
[0201] In summary, the present application provides a resource unit indication method including M EHT-SIG-A. The method, in which indication and transmission are performed based on each sub-block by using EHT-SIG-A, supports sub-block-based data transmission. The method is applicable when the STA supports the maximum bandwidth but has relatively less capabilities. [Embodiment 3]
[0202] Embodiment 1 provides a resource unit indication method based on DL OFDMA and DL MU MIMO. Embodiment 3 provides a resource unit indication method based on a trigger frame. Specifically, Figure 24 is a flowchart of a resource unit indication method according to an embodiment of the present application. As shown in Figure 24, the method includes the following steps:
[0203] Step S2401: The AP generates a PPDU, where the PPDU includes M trigger frames, M is an integer greater than 1, the M trigger frames optionally include at least two broadcast trigger frames, the transmission bandwidth of the PPDU is divided into M sub-blocks, the transmission bandwidth is greater than or equal to 40 MHz, the M trigger frames have a one-to-one correspondence with the M sub-blocks, the trigger frame includes a first field, the first field is transmitted on the sub-block corresponding to the trigger frame, and the first field is used to indicate an RU assigned by the AP to at least one of the multiple STAs.
[0204] Step S2402: The AP transmits a PPDU to multiple STAs.
[0205] A station receiving the PPDU may transmit uplink data based on the first field. Specifically, a station receiving the PPDU may determine a specific RU to which the STA can transmit uplink data based on the first field. Furthermore, the STA may transmit uplink data to the AP in the corresponding RU.
[0206] Specifically, the transmission bandwidth of the PPDU may be divided into multiple subblocks with a subblock unit of 80 MHz. Each trigger frame is used to trigger a STA to perform uplink transmission. The resource unit allocation subfield (which may be understood as the first field in this embodiment) in each subblock individually indicates the resource unit allocation status for the STA to which the resource unit allocation subfield belongs. For example, FIG. 25 is a schematic diagram of common fields and per-STA fields included in four trigger frames in a subblock unit of 80 MHz according to one embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG. 25, each trigger frame includes a common field and a per-STA field. Optionally, the common field includes an uplink space-time block code, an AP transmission power, a PPDU extension, an uplink spatial multiplexing, an uplink HE-SIG-A reservation, common information based on a trigger frame type, and a reserved field, etc. The per-STA fields include fields such as an association identifier, a resource unit allocation subfield, an uplink coding type, an uplink dual carrier modulation, information on the number of spatial flows / random contention resource units, an indicator of received signal strength, and station information based on the trigger frame type.
[0207] In addition, the AP may transmit the trigger frame in the following ways:
[0208] Scheme 1: The trigger frame is transmitted using the HE or EHT MU PPDU. Specifically, the trigger frames in different sub-blocks are transmitted by using different RUs.
[0209] Scheme 2: Each PPDU is transmitted in a different sub-block in an FDMA manner, where each PPDU carries the trigger frame of the corresponding segment.
[0210] For a resource unit allocation subfield, if the RU indicated by the resource unit allocation subfield is less than or equal to the maximum RU included in the subblock corresponding to the resource unit allocation subfield, then the resource units subfield shown in Table 2 is used to indicate the resource.
[0211] Optionally, if the RU indicated by the resource unit allocation subfield is greater than the maximum RU included in the subblock corresponding to the resource unit allocation subfield, the RU indicated by the resource unit allocation subfield is a subblock combination including multiple subblocks, or the RU indicated by the resource unit allocation subfield is a segment combination including all or some of the segments included in the multiple subblocks.
[0212] Furthermore, when the transmission bandwidth is 320 MHz and M=4, the RU indicated by the resource unit allocation subfield is a combination of subblocks (the combination of subblocks is also referred to as a combination of segments in a division unit of 80 MHz), and one subblock includes two 80 MHz segments. Correspondingly, the correspondence between the resource unit allocation subfield and the combination of subblocks includes at least one of the following entries shown in Table 20: [Table 20] [Table 27]
[0213] Part1, Part2, Part3 and Part4 are four different sub-blocks.
[0214] Optionally, the first value, the second value, the third value, the fourth value, the fifth value, the sixth value, the seventh value, the eighth value, the ninth value, the tenth value and the eleventh value are all 8 bits in length. In other words, the first field may be 8 bits.
[0215] It should be noted that the mapping relationship between the resource unit allocation subfield and the subblock combination may vary and is not limited to the cases listed in this embodiment of the present application.
[0216] In addition, the above table lists all possible combination cases of four sub-blocks.
[0217] This embodiment of the present application further provides a correspondence relationship between the resource unit allocation subfield and the subblock combination RU. An example is shown in Table 21. [Table 21] [Table 28]
[0218] It will be understood that the correspondence between different values of the resource unit allocation subfield and different sub-block combinations may be permuted and is not limited to the type of correspondence provided in Table 21.
[0219] It may be noted that in each sub-block, only the resource unit allocation in the sub-block needs to be indicated, and therefore the specific 80 MHz does not need to be indicated. Therefore, one bit does not need to be additionally transmitted. Alternatively, the bit is set to a reserved bit for later use.
[0220] When the transmission bandwidth is 320 MHz and M=4, in the same bandwidth case, the trigger frame overhead in the present application is reduced by a factor of 4 compared with the trigger frame overhead in the prior art. Furthermore, the trigger frame in the present application can indicate a combination of sub-blocks across sub-blocks.
[0221] When the transmission bandwidth is 320 MHz and M=2, the RU indicated by the resource unit allocation subfield is a combination of segments. Correspondingly, the correspondence between the resource unit allocation subfield and the combination of segments includes at least one of the following entries shown in Table 22: [Table 22] [Table 29]
[0222] Seg1, Seg2, Seg3 and Seg4 are four different segments.
[0223] Optionally, the lengths of the first value, the second value, the third value, the fourth value and the fifth value are all 8 bits. In other words, the resource unit allocation subfield may be 8 bits.
[0224] It should be noted that the mapping relationship between the resource unit allocation subfield and the segment combination may vary and is not limited to the cases listed in this embodiment of the present application. It should be understood that other alternative cases are also within the scope of protection of the embodiment of the present application.
[0225] In addition, the above table lists some or all possible combination cases of the four segments. In practical applications, only some combination cases in the above table may be included. In one example, the resource unit allocation subfield may indicate a combination of segments that are continuous in the frequency domain. For example, only two of the above five combination cases may be included, and the two are Seg1+Seg2+Seg3 and Seg1+Seg2+Seg3+Seg4.
[0226] This embodiment of the present application further provides a correspondence between the resource unit allocation subfield and the combined RU of the segment. An example is shown in Table 23. [Table 23] [Table 30]
[0227] When the transmission bandwidth is divided into M sub-blocks in units of 160 MHz, the RU indicated by the first field is less than or equal to the RU of 996 tones, and the trigger frame further includes a second field, where if the second field is a first value, the RU indicated by the first field belongs to the primary 80 MHz in the sub-block corresponding to the trigger frame, or if the second field is a second value, the second value is used to indicate that the RU belongs to the secondary 80 MHz in the sub-block corresponding to the trigger frame, or if the second field is a first value, the first value is used to indicate that the RU belongs to the low frequency 80 MHz in the sub-block corresponding to the trigger frame, or if the second field is a second value, the second value is used to indicate that the RU belongs to the high frequency 80 MHz in the sub-block corresponding to the trigger frame.
[0228] When the transmission bandwidth is 320 MHz and M=2, in the same bandwidth case, the trigger frame overhead in the present application is reduced by a factor of 2 compared with the trigger frame overhead in the prior art. Furthermore, the trigger frame in the present application can indicate a combination of sub-blocks across sub-blocks.
[0229] Optionally, if the AP indicates the RU for the STA in the sub-block to which the STA belongs, the RU indicated by the AP is not limited to the sub-block to which the STA belongs, but can be further extended to the entire bandwidth. Based on Table 14, 2 bits are further introduced to indicate a specific 80 MHz of 320 MHz.
[0230] Specifically, when the transmission bandwidth is 320 MHz, the trigger frame may further include a third field, and the third field may include 2 bits.
[0231] If the third field is a first value and the RU is less than or equal to the 996-tone RU, the first value is used to indicate that the RU belongs to the lowest frequency of 80 MHz in the transmission bandwidth; or if the third field is a second value and the RU is less than or equal to the 996-tone RU, the second value is used to indicate that the RU belongs to the second lowest frequency of 80 MHz in the transmission bandwidth; or if the third field is a third value and the RU is less than or equal to the 996-tone RU, the third value is used to indicate that the RU belongs to the second highest frequency of 80 MHz in the transmission bandwidth; or if the third field is a fourth value and the RU is less than or equal to the 996-tone RU, the fourth value is used to indicate that the RU belongs to the highest frequency of 80 MHz in the transmission bandwidth; Or, if the third field is a first value and the RU is less than or equal to a 996-tone RU, the first value is used to indicate that the RU belongs to a primary 80 MHz in the transmission bandwidth, or, if the third field is a second value and the RU is less than or equal to a 996-tone RU, the second value is used to indicate that the RU belongs to a first secondary 80 MHz in the transmission bandwidth, or, if the third field is a third value and the RU is less than or equal to a 996-tone RU, the third value is used to indicate that the RU belongs to a second secondary 80 MHz in the transmission bandwidth, or, if the third field is a fourth value and the RU is less than or equal to a 996-tone RU, the fourth value is used to indicate that the RU belongs to a third secondary 80 MHz in the transmission bandwidth.
[0232] For example, the meaning represented by the third field is shown in Table 24. [Table 24] [Table 31]
[0233] Optionally, the first value, the second value, the third value, and the fourth value are all 2 bits in length. Table 25 shows examples of meanings represented by the third field. [Table 25] [Table 32]
[0234] Furthermore, after receiving a trigger frame in the corresponding sub-block, the STA may determine a specific 80 MHz channel on which the trigger frame is carried based on the third field, determine an RU assigned to the STA by the AP based on the first field carried in the trigger frame, and transmit uplink data in the RU.
[0235] Based on this, the overhead in the present application is reduced compared with that in the prior art, and only one bit is added for each station to implement a more flexible resource unit indication method. [Embodiment 4]
[0236] According to embodiment 1, embodiment 2 or embodiment 3, the sub-blocks provided in the present application may not all have data transmission, in other words, the AP may not transmit any data in some sub-blocks. For example, FIG. 26 is a schematic diagram of EHT PPDU transmission in some sub-blocks according to one embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG. 26, no data is transmitted in sub-block 2. This case is applicable when interference exists in some segments. Based on this, the channel resource may be fully used.
[0237] In another example, non-EHT data is transmitted in some sub-blocks. For example, Figure 27 is a schematic diagram of non-EHT PPDU transmission in some sub-blocks according to one embodiment of the present application. As shown in Figure 27, for example, AP transmits HE PPDU in the sub-block where the primary 20 MHz is located, and transmits EHT PPDU in other sub-blocks.
[0238] In summary, data transmission flexibility can be implemented by using two examples in this application. [Embodiment 5]
[0239] FIG. 28 is a schematic block diagram of an apparatus 2800 on the access point side according to an embodiment of the present application. In an embodiment, the apparatus 2800 shown in FIG. 28 may correspond to the access point apparatus in the embodiment of the above-mentioned method, and may have the function of the access point in the method. Optionally, the apparatus 2800 in this embodiment of the present application may be an access point, or may be an access point chip. The apparatus 2800 may include a processing module 2810 and a transceiver module 2820. Optionally, the apparatus 2800 may further include a storage module 2830.
[0240] For example, the processing module 2810 may be configured to generate signal or data information to be transmitted in the embodiments of the aforementioned method, for example, to perform steps S1201 and S2401.
[0241] The transceiver module 2820 is configured to support communication between the access point AP, the station, and another node. It will be understood that the transceiver module may include a receiving module and a transmitting module. The transmitting module may be configured to perform steps S1202 and S2402 in the above-mentioned method embodiment.
[0242] It should be understood that the device 2800 according to this embodiment of the present application may correspond to an access point in the method of the above-mentioned embodiment, and the above-mentioned and other management operations and / or functions of the modules in the device 2800 are respectively used to implement corresponding steps of the above-mentioned method. For the sake of brevity, details will not be described here.
[0243] Alternatively, the device 2800 may be configured as a general-purpose processing system, for example commonly known as a chip. The processing module 2810 may include one or more processors that provide processing functions. The transceiver module 2820 may be, for example, an input / output interface, pins, or circuit. The input / output interface may be configured to handle information exchange between the chip system and the outside. For example, the input / output interface may output signal or data information generated by the processing module 2810 to another module outside the chip for processing. The processing module may execute computer-executable instructions stored in the storage module to implement the functionality of the access point in the above-mentioned method embodiments. In one example, the storage module 2830 optionally included in the device 2800 may be a storage unit internal to the chip, for example, a register or cache, or the storage module 2830 may be a storage unit external to the chip, for example, a read-only memory (ROM), another type of static storage device that can store static information and instructions, or a random access memory (RAM).
[0244] In another example, FIG. 29 is a schematic block diagram of another communication device 2900 on the access point side according to an embodiment of the present application. The device 2900 in this embodiment of the present application may be an access point in the above-mentioned method embodiment, and the device 2900 may be configured to implement part or all of the functions of the access point in the above-mentioned method embodiment. The device 2900 may include a processor 2910, a baseband circuit 2930, a radio frequency circuit 2940, and an antenna 2950. Optionally, the device 2900 may further include a memory 2920. The components of the device 2900 are coupled together using a bus 2960. In addition to a data bus, the bus system 2960 includes a power bus, a control bus, and a status signal bus. However, for the sake of clarity, various types of buses in the figure are illustrated as the bus system 2960.
[0245] The processor 2910 may be configured to control the access point and to execute the processes performed by the access point in the above-mentioned embodiment. The processor 2910 may execute the processing related to the access point in the above-mentioned method embodiment and / or other processes of the techniques described in this application, and may further operate an operating system. The processor 2910 may be responsible for managing the bus and may execute programs or instructions stored in the memory.
[0246] The baseband circuitry 2930, the radio frequency circuitry 2940, and the antenna 2950 may be configured to support transmission and reception of information between the access point and a station to support wireless communication between the access point and another node. For example, the PPDU may be processed by the processor 2910, baseband processing such as protocol-based encapsulation and coding may be performed by the baseband circuitry 2930, and radio frequency processing such as analog conversion, filtering, amplification, and up-conversion may be further performed by the radio frequency circuitry 2940, and then transmitted to the station by the antenna 2950. It will be understood that the baseband circuitry 2930, the radio frequency circuitry 2940, and the antenna 2950 may be further configured to support communication between the access point and another network entity, for example, communication between the access point and a network element on the core network side.
[0247] The memory 2920 may be configured to store program codes and data of the access point, and the memory 2920 may be the storage module 2830 in FIG. 28. As shown in FIG. 29, the memory 2920 is separate from the processor 2910. However, those skilled in the art will readily appreciate that the memory 2920, or any part of the memory 2920, may be located outside the device 2900. For example, the memory 2920 may include a transmission line and / or a computer product separate from the wireless node. These media may be accessed by the processor 2910 using the bus interface 2960. Alternatively, the memory 2920, or any part of the memory 2920, may be integrated into the processor 2910, and may be, for example, a cache and / or a general-purpose register.
[0248] 28, the transceiver 2820 may include baseband circuitry 2930, radio frequency circuitry 2940, and antenna 2950, and the processing module 2810 may be a processor 2910. In another example, in FIG. 28, the transceiver 2820 may include only the antenna in FIG. 29, and the processing module 2810 may include a processor 2910 and further include radio frequency circuitry 2940 and baseband circuitry 2930. In yet another example, in FIG. 28, the processing module 2810 may include a processor 2910 and baseband circuitry 2930, and the transceiver 2820 may include radio frequency circuitry 2940 and antenna 2950.
[0249] It should be understood that Fig. 29 only shows a simplified design of an access point. For example, in practical application, the access point may include any number of transmitters, receivers, processors, or memories, etc., and all access points that can implement the present invention are included in the protection scope of the present invention.
[0250] The embodiment of the present application further provides a computer-readable storage medium. The computer-readable storage medium stores instructions, which can be executed by one or more processors in a processing circuit. When the computer-readable storage medium runs on a computer, the computer can execute the method in the above-mentioned embodiment. [Embodiment 6]
[0251] FIG. 30 is a schematic block diagram of a station-side device 3000 according to an embodiment of the present application. In an embodiment, the device 3000 shown in FIG. 30 may correspond to the station device in the embodiment of the above-mentioned method, and may have the function of the station in the method. Optionally, the device 3000 in this embodiment of the present application may be a station or a chip of a station. The device 3000 may include a processing module 3010 and a transceiver module 3020. Optionally, the device 3000 may further include a storage module 3030.
[0252] For example, the transceiver module 3020 is configured to support communication between a station STA, an access point AP, and another node. It is understood that the transceiver module may include a receiving module and a transmitting module. The receiving module may be configured to receive the PPDU transmitted in step S1202 or S2402 in the embodiment of the method described above.
[0253] The processing module 3010 may be configured to analyze the PPDU received by the receiving module based on signal information such as the first field and the second field in the above method embodiments.
[0254] It should be understood that the device 3000 according to this embodiment of the present application may correspond to a station in the method of the above-mentioned embodiment, and the above-mentioned and other management operations and / or functions of the modules in the device 3000 are respectively used to implement the corresponding steps of the above-mentioned method. For the sake of brevity, details will not be described here.
[0255] Alternatively, the device 3000 may be configured as a general-purpose processing system, for example commonly known as a chip. The processing module 3010 may include one or more processors that provide processing functions. The transceiver module 3020 may be, for example, an input / output interface, pins, or circuit. The input / output interface may be configured to handle information exchange between the chip system and the outside. For example, the input / output interface may output a PPDU received from another module outside the chip to the processing module 3010 inside the chip for processing. The processing module may execute computer-executable instructions stored in the storage module to implement the functions of the station in the embodiment of the method described above. In one example, the storage module 3030 optionally included in the device 3000 may be a storage unit inside the chip, for example, a register or cache, or the storage module 3030 may be a storage unit outside the chip, for example, a read-only memory (ROM), another type of static storage device that can store static information and instructions, or a random access memory (RAM).
[0256] In another example, FIG. 31 is a schematic block diagram of another communication device 3100 on the station side according to an embodiment of the present application. The device 3100 in this embodiment of the present application may be a station in the aforementioned method embodiment, and the device 3100 may be configured to implement some or all of the functions of the station in the aforementioned method embodiment. The device 3100 may include a processor 3110, a baseband circuit 3130, a radio frequency circuit 3140, and an antenna 3150. Optionally, the device 3100 may further include a memory 3120. The components of the device 3100 are coupled together using a bus 3160. In addition to a data bus, the bus system 3160 includes a power bus, a control bus, and a status signal bus. However, for the sake of clarity, various types of buses in the figure are illustrated as a bus system 3160.
[0257] The processor 3110 may be configured to control the station and to execute the processes performed by the station in the above-mentioned embodiment. The processor 3110 may execute the processing related to the station in the above-mentioned method embodiment and / or other processes of the technology described in this application, and may further operate an operating system. The processor 3110 may be responsible for managing the bus and may execute programs or instructions stored in the memory.
[0258] The baseband circuitry 3130, the radio frequency circuitry 3140, and the antenna 3150 may be configured to support transmission and reception of information between the station and the access point to support wireless communication between the station and another node. For example, PPDUs transmitted by the access point are received by the antenna 3150, processing such as filtering, amplification, down-conversion and digitization is performed by the radio frequency circuitry 3140, baseband processing such as decoding and protocol-based data decapsulation is performed by the baseband circuitry 3130, and processing is then performed by the processor 3110 to recover the service data and signal information transmitted by the station. It will be appreciated that the baseband circuitry 3130, the radio frequency circuitry 3140, and the antenna 3150 may be further configured to support communication between the station and another network entity.
[0259] The memory 3120 may be configured to store program codes and data of the station, and the memory 3120 may be the storage module 3030 in FIG. 30. As shown in FIG. 31, the memory 3120 is separate from the processor 3110. However, those skilled in the art will readily understand that the memory 3120 or any part of the memory 3120 may be located outside the device 3100. For example, the memory 3120 may include a transmission line and / or a computer product separate from the wireless node. These media may be accessed by the processor 3110 using the bus interface 3160.
