Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a drain valve unit, a lower frame structure, and a method for attaching the drain valve unit to the lower frame.
Background Art
[0002] Conventionally, there has been a lower frame of a fitting such as a sliding window sash that is formed in a stepped shape so that the outdoor end is positioned lower than the indoor end. The lower frame of the exterior shutter has a shape in which the lower end of the outdoor member disposed outside the glass extends to a position lower than the lower end of the indoor member disposed inside the glass corresponding to this shape of the lower frame (see Patent Document 1 below).
[0003] In the lower frame, a notch portion penetrating in the indoor-outdoor direction may be formed in the rail support wall portion to which an outer rail for supporting the exterior shutter is attached. In this case, the airtight material provided at the lower end portion of the outdoor member of the shutter abuts below the notch portion of the rail support wall portion, and an airtight line is formed at the height where the airtight material and the rail support wall portion are in contact.
[0004] In recent years, in the lower frame of the shutter, an outdoor member disposed outside the glass and an indoor member disposed inside the glass are formed at the same height, and the lower end portion of the outdoor member and the lower end portion of the indoor member are known to be located at the same height.

The drain valve unit 7 includes a support member 70 and a drain valve 80. A space formed on the end side in the width direction rather than the support member 70 is where the vertical frame 13 is arranged.
[0046] As shown in FIG. 5, the support member 70 has a pair of locking wall portions 71, an installation wall portion 72, a rail portion 73, an outdoor side extension wall 74, and an indoor side extension wall portion 75.
[0047] The pair of locking wall portions 71 are arranged to face each other in the indoor-outdoor direction. The pair of locking wall portions 71 are arranged between a pair of outer rail support portions 125 of the lower frame 12. As shown in FIG. 6, at the lower end portion of the locking wall portion 71, a protrusion 71a protruding toward the side opposite to the opposing locking wall portion 71 is formed. On the surface 125a of the outer rail support portion 125 facing the opposing outer rail support portion 125 side, a protrusion 125b protruding toward the opposing outer rail support portion 125 side is formed. The protrusion 71a of the locking wall portion 71 is in contact with the surface 125a of the outer rail support portion 125 at a position below the protrusion 125b. Thereby, the support member 70 is suppressed from moving upward from between a pair of outer rail support portions 125 of the lower frame 12.
[0048] The installation wall portion 72 connects the pair of locking wall portions 71. The indoor / outdoor direction ends of the installation wall portion 72 protrude in the indoor / outdoor direction more than the pair of locking wall portions 71. As shown in FIG. 5, the length of the installation wall portion 72 (the length in the width direction of the sliding window 200) is longer than the length of the pair of locking wall portions 71 (the length in the width direction of the sliding window 200). The installation wall portion 72 extends toward the end side in the width direction of the sliding window 200 more than the locking wall portion 71. The portion of the installation wall portion 72 located directly above the locking wall portion 71 is installed on the upper surface 125u of the outer rail support portion 125 of the lower frame 12.
[0049] The rail portion 73 protrudes upward from the installation wall portion 72. The door wheel 526 (see FIG. 3) of the new exterior shutter 5 is enabled to travel on the rail portion 73.
[0050] The outdoor side extension wall 74 extends downward from the outdoor side end of the installation wall portion 72. The outdoor side extension wall 74 is arranged on a line extending the outdoor side outer rail support portion 125 of the lower frame 12 in the width direction of the sliding window 200. An attachment hole 74h penetrating in the indoor / outdoor direction is formed in the outdoor side extension wall 74. The lower end portion (not shown) of the outdoor side extension wall 74 abuts against the middle portion 124 of the lower frame 12.
[0051] The indoor side extension wall portion 75 extends downward from the indoor side end of the installation wall portion 72. The indoor side extension wall portion 75 is arranged on a line extending the indoor side outer rail support portion 125 of the lower frame 12 in the width direction of the sliding window 200. As shown in FIG. 6, the lower end portion 75d of the indoor side extension wall portion 75 is arranged with a gap s1 above the middle portion 124 of the lower frame 12. Water such as condensed water is enabled to flow through this gap s1.
[0052] As shown in FIG. 7, a slit 75h penetrating in the indoor / outdoor direction is formed in the indoor side extension wall portion 75. A plurality of slits 75h are formed at intervals in the width direction of the sliding window 200. When the gap s1 below the lower end portion 75d of the indoor side extension wall portion 75 is clogged with dust or the like, water such as condensed water flows through the slit 75h.
[0053] As shown in Fig. 5, the drain valve 80 has a housing portion 81 and a valve body 82 (see Fig. 6). As shown in Fig. 7, the upper portion 81u of the housing portion 81 is in contact with the lower surface of the installation wall portion 72 of the support member 70. The lower portion 81d of the housing portion 81 is in contact with the upper surface of the middle portion 124 of the lower frame 12. An opening 81h that opens in the indoor-outdoor direction is formed in the housing portion 81. A flange portion 81a that projects to the outer peripheral side is provided at the outdoor-side end of the housing portion 81. The flange portion 81a is arranged along the mounting hole 74h (see Fig. 5) of the support member 70.
[0054] As shown in Fig. 6, an outer airtight material 542 (see Fig. 3) is in contact with a portion of the flange portion 81a of the housing portion 81 that is disposed above the mounting hole 74h. An airtight line A2 is formed along this height.
[0055] As shown in Fig. 7, the valve body 82 has a rotation shaft portion 82a and a valve main body 82b. The rotation shaft portion 82a extends in the width direction of the sliding window 200. The rotation shaft portion 82a is rotatably supported by the housing portion 81. The valve main body 82b is provided on the rotation shaft portion 82a.
[0056] In a state where the valve main body 82b closes the opening 81h of the housing portion 81, the lower end portion of the valve main body 82b is in contact with the outdoor-side lower edge of the opening 81h in the housing portion 81. Thereby, even when a force acting from the outdoor side to the indoor side such as wind pressure acts, the valve main body 82b can maintain a state of closing the opening 81h of the housing portion 81.
[0057] When water such as condensed water passes through the gap s1 below the lower end portion 75d of the indoor-side extension wall portion 75 of the support member 70 and the slit 75h of the indoor-side extension wall portion 75 and presses the valve main body 82b to the outdoor side, the rotation shaft portion 82a rotates and the lower end portion of the valve main body 82b faces upward and to the outdoor side. Thereby, the opening 81h of the housing portion 81 is opened and water is drained from the opening 81h.
[0058] On the upper part of the housing portion 81, a protrusion (engaging portion) 81c protruding upward is formed. On the lower surface of the installation wall portion 72 of the support member 70, a recess (locking portion) 72a recessed upward is formed. The protrusion 81c of the drain valve 80 is locked to the recess 72a of the support member 70.
[0059] A method of attaching the above drain valve unit 7 to the notch portion 14 of the lower frame 12 will be described. The drain valve 80 is inserted into the mounting hole 74h of the support member 70 from the outdoor side extension wall 74 side to the indoor side extension wall portion 75 side. The housing portion 81 is elastically deformed in the vertical direction, and the protrusion 81c of the housing portion 81 moves to the indoor side extension wall portion 75 side while contacting the lower surface of the installation wall portion 72 of the support member 70. The protrusion 81c of the housing portion 81 is locked to the recess 72a of the support member 70, the drain valve 80 is attached to the support member 70, and the drain valve unit 7 is assembled. The pair of locking wall portions 71 of the support member 70 of the drain valve unit 7 are inserted from above between the pair of outer rail support portions 125 of the lower frame 12. The protrusion 71a of the locking wall portion 71 is moved downward over the protrusion 125b of the outer rail support portion 125 to attach the support member 70 to the lower frame 12. Thereby, the drain valve unit 7 is attached to the notch portion 14 of the lower frame 12.
[0060] In the newly installed sliding window 200 configured as described above, a drain valve unit 7 having a drain valve 80 is attached to the notch portion 14 formed in the outer rail support portion 125 of the lower frame 12. Thereby, the indoor and outdoor spaces sandwiching the notch portion 14 do not communicate with each other when the valve body 82 of the drain valve 80 is closed, and airtightness can be ensured.
[0061] The outer airtight material 542 provided on the new outer shutter 5 abuts on a portion of the flange portion 81a of the housing portion 81 that is disposed above the mounting hole 74h. An airtight line A2 is formed along this height.
[0062] In the newly installed sliding window 200, the protrusion 81c of the drain valve 80 is locked to the recess 72a of the support member 70, and the drain valve 80 is attached to the support member 70. Therefore, the drain valve 80 can be easily attached to the support member 70.
[0063] In the newly installed sliding window 200, when replacing the existing outer shutter 2 in the existing stepped lower frame 12, an airtight line A2 can be formed at a position higher than the existing airtight line A1 by attaching a drain valve unit 7 to the lower frame 12.
[0064] The various shapes, combinations, etc. of the respective constituent members shown in the above-described embodiments are merely examples, and various modifications can be made based on design requirements and the like without departing from the gist of the present disclosure.
[0065] For example, in the embodiment, a sliding window is described as an example of a fitting, but the present disclosure is not limited thereto. If a notch is formed in a casement window, a sliding window, etc., a drain valve unit may be attached to the notch. Alternatively, if a notch is formed in the inner shutter of a sliding window, a drain valve unit may be attached to the notch.
[0066] In the embodiment, the protrusion 81c of the drain valve 80 is locked to the recess 72a formed in the lower surface of the installation wall portion 72 of the support member 70, but the present disclosure is not limited thereto. The recess 72a may not be formed in the lower surface of the installation wall portion 72 of the support member 70, and the protrusion 81c of the drain valve 80 may abut against the lower surface of the flat installation wall portion 72 and be locked by stretching in the vertical direction. Alternatively, the housing portion 81 of the drain valve 80 may be adhered to the support member 70.
