Abstract

To solve the problem in which in a conventional image forming apparatus performing print control according to a measured temperature of an image carrier, when the measured temperature and a temperature of the image carrier are different from each other, appropriate control cannot be performed.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus has: an image forming unit 11 that forms a toner image; a transfer roller 30 that transfers the toner image to a recording sheet 55; a fuser 40 that applies heat and pressure to the recording sheet 55 to fix the transferred toner image to the recording sheet 55; an inside-apparatus temperature sensor 44 that detects an inside-apparatus temperature; a fixing temperature sensor 45 that detects a temperature of the fuser 40; a time measuring unit 130 that measures a cumulative standby time tsum during which an image forming operation is stopped; and a printing operation control unit 101 that controls a printing operation. The printing operation control unit 101 changes an image forming condition through comparison between thresholds Ti1 and Ti2 that are set according to the inside-apparatus temperature Ti detected by the inside-apparatus temperature sensor 44 and a length of the cumulative standby time tsum.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
