Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a multi-display mounting device that can simultaneously mount a device for controlling displays together with a plurality of horizontally connected displays.

Background Art

[0002] There is a multi-stand for a flat display described in Patent Document 1 as a device for connecting a plurality of displays such as liquid crystal panels.

[0003] This multi-stand is used by connecting a plurality of displays vertically. A pair of main body mounting brackets 3 is fixed to a single main body support column 2 vertically, and monitor frames 4 are respectively fixed to each main body mounting bracket 3. A monitor mounting bracket 5 attached to the back surface of the flat display A is connected to this monitor frame 4, and the flat displays A are combined vertically to be used as one large screen.

[0004] On the other hand, a hanging device for adjusting the angle of the display surface of a display is described in Patent Document 2. This hanging device includes main body parts 3A and 3B suspended by a suspension member 2, a rod-shaped member 6 penetrating the main body parts 3A and 3B horizontally, and a pair of mounting members 7 attached to the back surface of the video display device 4. The rod-shaped member 6 fixed to the mounting member 7 is configured to be displaced integrally with the video display device 4 by angle adjustment means 5A and 5B in the main body parts 3A and 3B.

[0005] Furthermore, a hanging device for a video display device that can suspend and support a thin display from the ceiling is described in Patent Document 3. This device can significantly increase the strength by connecting and fixing a part of the flange part 3A at the lower end of the support member 3 to the top plate part 5C of the main member 5 to which the load of the video display device is particularly applied.

[0006] Furthermore, Patent Document 4 describes a connecting bracket for a multi-monitor system that can connect and hold multiple display panels as a single unit. This connecting bracket connects adjacent display panels together, making the entire multi-monitor system a rigid body and maintaining a constant gap between adjacent display panels. [0007] [Patent Document 1] Utility Model Registration No. 3182916 Gazette [Patent Document 2] Patent No. 5160853 [Patent Document 3] Patent No. 4788190 [Patent Document 4] Japanese Patent Publication No. 2019-133105 [Disclosure of the Invention] [Problems that the invention aims to solve]

[0008] The conventional mounting devices described in Patent Documents 1 to 4 all have the problem that, although they can mount a display, they cannot simultaneously mount equipment that controls the display.

[0009] In other words, the multi-stand described in Patent Document 1 has a structure that connects displays vertically to form one large screen, and it is not possible to connect multiple displays side by side. Moreover, the multi-stand is configured to only attach displays, and it is not possible to attach equipment to control the displays to the multi-stand.

[0010] Furthermore, the suspension device described in Patent Document 2 is configured to adjust the angle (downward angle) of the video display device 4 together with the rod-shaped member 6 using angle adjustment means 5A and 5B. However, since this suspension device is configured to mount only one flat-panel display, it is difficult to mount other equipment that controls the display.

[0011] Furthermore, the suspension device described in Patent Document 3 is also configured to mount only one flat-panel display, leaving no room to mount any other equipment.

[0012] Furthermore, the connecting fitting described in Patent Document 4 is configured specifically for combining multiple flat-panel displays, and therefore does not take into account the attachment of other equipment.

[0013] Thus, while these conventional mounting devices can support a display, they are not configured to be mounted together with the display's control equipment. Therefore, conventional control equipment must be installed in a separate location away from the display.

[0014] Furthermore, when a display is suspended from the ceiling, the power cords and connection cords connecting the display to related equipment must be installed in a way that is not conspicuous. However, with conventional display mounting devices, installing control equipment and cords in an inconspicuous manner requires a great deal of effort to wire the power cords and connection cords connecting the display to related equipment. Moreover, the wiring work becomes even more difficult when multiple displays are used.

[0015] Therefore, the present invention was created to solve the above-mentioned problems, and aims to provide a multi-display mounting device that allows multiple displays to be mounted together with the displays, thereby simplifying the wiring of control devices and connection cords, and enabling the arrangement of multiple displays in an aesthetically pleasing manner. [Means for solving the problem]

[0016] The first means of the present invention is a multi-display mounting device comprising a plurality of support bodies 10 for suspending displays P, a monitor frame 20 horizontally mounted on the support bodies 10 to fix the plurality of displays P side by side, and a monitor mounting bracket 30 fixed to the back of each display P and connected to the monitor frame 20, wherein a device mounting bracket 40 for mounting control equipment Q of the displays P is provided, the device mounting bracket 40 is connected to the monitor frame 20 on the back side of the displays P, and the control equipment Q is mounted on the connected device mounting bracket 40.

[0017] The equipment mounting bracket 40 of the second means consists of a plate-shaped connecting bracket 41 fixed to the monitor frame 20 and a mounting bracket 42 that is plate-shaped and overlaps the connecting bracket 41 for mounting a plurality of control devices Q. The plate surface of the connecting bracket 41 is screwed into a side groove 22 formed on the outer surface of the monitor frame 20, a bent locking piece 42A formed on the plate surface of the mounting bracket 42 is locked to the upper end of the connecting bracket 41, and the connecting bracket 41 and the mounting bracket 42 are screwed together.

[0018] The third means of the equipment mounting bracket 40 consists of a connecting bracket 43 with a substantially U-shaped cross-section that is fixed to the monitor frame 20, and a mounting bracket 44 that is plate-shaped and supported by the connecting bracket 43 for attaching the individual control device Q, and the lower end of the connecting bracket 43 is screwed into the upper groove 21 formed on the upper surface of the monitor frame 20, A bent, U-shaped fitting portion 44A is formed at the lower end of the mounting bracket 44 and fitted into the lower end of the connecting bracket 43, and the fitted connecting bracket 43 and mounting bracket 44 are then fastened together with screws.

[0019] The fourth means, the monitor mounting bracket 30, is fixed to the back of the display P and the monitor frame 20 is connected to the back of the display P. On the top sideA fixing body 31 having a protruding slide portion 31A, and an engaging body 32 that is swingably connected to the fixing body 31, has an adjusting protrusion 32A that overlaps with the slide portion 31A to fix the slide position of the slide portion 31A, and is fixed to the upper surface of the monitor frame 20. The angle of the display P fixed to the monitor frame 20 is adjusted by adjusting the slide position of the slide portion 31A with respect to the adjusting protrusion 32A.

[0020] The fifth means includes a retaining screw 33 that is inserted and fixed into an upper groove 21 formed on the outer surface of the monitor frame 20 in the engaging body 32, and a retaining screw 34 that is inserted and fixed into a lower groove 23 formed along the lower surface portion of the monitor frame 20. < [Figure 2] (a) and (b) are perspective views showing the monitor mounting bracket of the present invention in its installed state. [0024] The present invention is a device for connecting and supporting multiple displays P side by side, and comprises a support body 10, a monitor frame 20, a monitor mounting bracket 30, and an equipment mounting bracket 40 (see Figure 1).

[0025] The equipment mounting bracket 40 is a bracket for attaching the control device Q to the display P, and is fixed to the monitor frame 20 on the back side of the display P (see Figure 2). The equipment mounting bracket 40 consists of a connecting bracket 41 that is fixed to the monitor frame 20, and mounting brackets 42 and 44 that are connected to the connecting brackets 41 and 43 to attach the control device Q (see Figure 4).

[0026] This invention uses two types of equipment mounting brackets 40. One equipment mounting bracket 40 is configured to mount multiple control devices Q, such as a small PC Q1, a router Q2, a hub Q3, and an emulator Q4 (see Figures 2 to 6). The other equipment mounting bracket 40 is configured to mount a single AV amplifier Q5 as a control device Q (see Figures 7 to 10). These equipment mounting brackets 40 allow for the mounting of various control devices Q necessary for the display P.

[0027] Specifically, one of the mounting brackets 40 shown in Figures 2 to 6 is configured to mount multiple control devices Q and consists of a plate-shaped connecting bracket 41 and a plate-shaped mounting bracket 42 that overlaps the connecting bracket 41 (see Figure 4). The connecting bracket 41 is fixed by screwing a countersunk screw 41A into a nut 41B that is mounted inside a side groove 22 formed on the outer surface of the monitor frame 20 (see Figure 6).

[0028] A locking piece 41C is bent and formed at the longitudinal center of the left and right side edges of the connecting fitting 41 (see Figure 5). When this locking piece 41C is inserted into the side groove 22 of the monitor frame 20, the position of the connecting fitting 41 relative to the side groove 22 is fixed. Therefore, the position for screwing in the connecting fitting 41 is also fixed, making the fixing work of the connecting fitting 41 easier. In the illustrated example, the locking piece 41C is inserted into the central side groove 22 of the three parallel side grooves 22 formed on the side of the monitor frame 20, and the connecting fitting 41 is screwed into the upper and lower side grooves 22.

[0029] Furthermore, a bent portion 41D is formed near the upper end of the connecting fitting 41 (see Figure 5). This bent portion 41AD is formed so that when the mounting fitting 42 is locked to the upper end of the connecting fitting 41, the mounting fitting 42 does not interfere with the monitor frame 20 or other components (see Figure 6).

[0030] The mounting bracket 42 is a plate-shaped member that connects to the connecting bracket 41 fixed to the monitor frame 20, and multiple control devices Q are attached to this mounting bracket 42 (see Figure 5). These control devices Q include a small PC Q1, a router Q2, a hub Q3, an emulator Q4, and other such devices. In the illustrated example, a locking piece 42A and a fixing piece 42B are formed on the plate surface of the mounting bracket 42 (see Figure 4), and the locking piece 42A is locked to the upper end of the bent portion 41D (see Figure 6). Furthermore, a connecting screw 47 that passes through the lower end of the connecting bracket 41 is screwed to the fixing piece 42B of the mounting bracket 42, and the tip of the connecting screw 47 is pressed and fixed to the plate surface of the mounting bracket 42 (see Figure 6).

[0031] Furthermore, the mounting bracket 42 has a shelf section 42C for placing control equipment Q and multiple connecting holes 42D on its plate surface (see Figure 2). Multiple control equipment Q are mounted using these shelf sections 42C and connecting holes 42D. In addition, the mounting position of the mounting bracket 40 on the monitor frame 20 is such that the mounting bracket 40 is fixed to the surface opposite to the surface on which the display P is fixed (see Figure 3). It is also possible to fix the mounting bracket 40 to the same surface as the display P by adjusting the angle of the display P (not shown).

[0032] The other mounting bracket 40 shown in Figures 7 to 10 is configured to mount a single control device Q. This mounting bracket 40 consists of a connecting bracket 43 with a roughly U-shaped cross-section and a plate-shaped mounting bracket 44 that is supported and fixed to the connecting bracket 43, and is used to mount an AV amplifier Q5 or the like (see Figure 8). The bottom of the connecting bracket 43 is screwed into an upper groove 21 formed on the upper surface of the monitor frame 20 (see Figure 10). Then, the mounting bracket 44 is inserted into the interior of the connecting bracket 43 from above to connect them.

[0033] At this time, a roughly box-shaped fitting portion 44A with an open top is formed at the lower end of the mounting bracket 44 (see Figure 8). Then, this fitting portion 44A is fitted into the interior of the connecting bracket 43 (see Figure 10). Furthermore, the fitting portion 44A of the connecting bracket 43 and the mounting bracket 44 are screwed together with a connecting screw 47. In the illustrated example, one side edge of the connecting bracket 43, which has a roughly U-shaped cross-section, is bent and extended from the bottom to form a folded-back piece 43C (see Figure 9). The other end of the bottom of the connecting bracket 43 is also open, and the mounting bracket 44 can be slid in through this open portion (see Figure 8).

[0034] Then, the folded piece 43B and the side of the roughly box-shaped fitting portion 44A are connected with a fixing screw 46 (see Figure 10). Furthermore, a connecting screw 47 is passed through a through hole 43D provided on the open side of the connecting fitting 43 (see Figure 9) and screwed into the screw hole 44B of the mounting fitting 44 (see Figure 7). In this way, by setting the screw fastening position to one location each on the side and the back, the installation work on the back side of the display P can be simplified in particular. In addition, by forming multiple screw holes 44B on the front and back of the fitting portion 44A, it is possible to change the orientation of the fitting portion 44A and fit it into the connecting fitting 43 (see Figure 8).

[0035] The monitor mounting bracket 30 is a component fixed to the back of each display P. By fixing this monitor mounting bracket 30 to the monitor frame 20, the display P and the support 10 are connected via the monitor frame 20 (see Figure 12).

[0036] The monitor mounting bracket 30 comprises a fixing body 31 that is screwed to the back of the display P, and an engaging body 32 that is pivotably connected to the fixing body 31 and fixed to the monitor frame 20 (see Figures 13 and 16).

[0037] The fixed body 31 has a sliding portion 31A on its upper side and a support projection 31B on its lower side (see Figure 13). The sliding portion 31A is the part that protrudes from the fixed body 31 toward the upper surface of the monitor frame 20 (see Figure 16). The illustrated sliding portion 31A is formed by bending the strip-shaped fixed body 31 into a U-shape in cross-section to form opposing sliding portions 31A (see Figure 14). A long hole 31Aa is drilled in one of the sliding portions 31A. The support projection 31B is the part that protrudes from the fixed body 31 toward the lower surface of the monitor frame 20 (see Figure 16). This support projection 31B is also formed to face the sliding portion 31A in the same way (see Figure 13).

[0038] The engaging body 32 is a rod-shaped member that overlaps the inside of the fixed body 31, and has an adjustment projection 32A at its upper end and a swinging part 32D at its lower end (see Figure 13).

[0039] The illustrated adjustment projection 32A is formed to protrude from the upper end of the engaging body 32 and overlaps with the inside of the sliding portion 31A of the fixed body 31, fixing the sliding position of the sliding portion 31A (see Figure 14). In the illustrated example, the strip-shaped engaging body 32 is bent into a U-shape in cross-section, and opposing adjustment projections 32A are provided, with reinforcing pieces 32Aa between the adjustment projections 32A. Furthermore, a fixing screw 32B is provided on one side of the adjustment projection 32A, and the operating head of the fixing screw 32B protrudes from the elongated hole 31Aa of the sliding portion 31A. The sliding portion 31A slides along this elongated hole 31Aa, and its sliding position is fixed to the adjustment projection 32A by the fixing screw 32B.

[0040] Figure 17 shows the initial state in which the engaging body 32 of the monitor mounting bracket 30 is fixed to the monitor frame 20. In the initial state, the display P is supported parallel to, i.e., perpendicular to, the support 10. To adjust the angle of the display surface of the display P from this state, the sliding position of the sliding part 31A fixed to the adjustment projection 32A is adjusted (see Figure 14). That is, the sliding part 31A is slid along the adjustment projection 32A, and the angle of the display surface of the display P is fixed by tightening the fixing screw 32B to the sliding part 31A at the desired position (see Figure 18). The monitor mounting bracket 30 in the illustrated example adjusts the angle by a maximum of 10°, but this angle can be changed arbitrarily.

[0041] A locking projection 32C is formed on the tip side of this adjustment projection 32A, protruding downward (see Figure 15). This locking projection 32C engages with the upper groove 21 of the monitor frame 20, and the illustrated locking projection 32C further has a roughly L-shaped bent locking piece 32Ca formed at its tip to prevent it from coming out of the upper groove 21 (see Figure 16).

[0042] Retaining screws 33 and 34 are provided above and below the engaging body 32 (see Figure 16). The upper retaining screw 33 is inserted into the upper groove 21 of the monitor frame 20 to press and fix the monitor frame 20. This retaining screw 33 protrudes toward the monitor frame 20 from the reinforcing piece 32Aa of the adjustment projection 32A (see Figure 14).

[0043] On the other hand, the lower retaining screw 34 is inserted into the lower groove 23 of the monitor frame 20 to press and fix the monitor frame 20 (see Figure 16). This retaining screw 34 protrudes toward the monitor frame 20 from reinforcing pieces 32Da provided on the mutual pivoting parts 32D (see Figure 13). In this way, the upper and lower retaining screws 34 press and fix the monitor frame 20 from above and below, so that the engaging body 32 is strongly fixed to the monitor frame 20 (see Figure 16).

[0044] This pivoting part 32D is pivotally supported at the lower part of the fixed body 31 and protrudes downward from the monitor frame 20 (see Figure 16). Similar to the support projection 31B of the fixed body 31, this pivoting part 32D is formed by bending a strip-shaped engaging body 32 into a U-shape in cross-section to create the opposing pivoting part 32D (see Figure 13). The pivoting part 32D is superimposed on the inside of the support projection 31B and is pivotably connected by a pivoting screw 35.

[0045] The support structure 10 is a component that supports multiple displays P from the ceiling, floor, etc. (see Figure 11). This support structure 10 includes a pole 11 and a rail fixing bracket 12 (see Figure 12). The pole 11 is a support member that is suspended from the ceiling or erected on the floor, etc. This pole 11 can also be installed on a wall, etc. (not shown).

[0046] The rail fixing bracket 12 is a component that is pre-fixed to the monitor frame 20 (see Figure 19). This rail fixing bracket 12 is fixed to the monitor frame 20 with fixing screws 13 that are screwed into side grooves 22 formed along the longitudinal direction of the side of the monitor frame 20. The rail fixing bracket 12 has elongated screw holes 12a drilled in the top and bottom for inserting the fixing screws 13, allowing the height of the monitor frame 20 fixed to the rail fixing bracket 12 to be adjusted.

[0047] Then, by connecting the rail fixing bracket 12 to the lower end of the pole 11 of the support body 10 suspended from the ceiling or the like, the monitor frame 20 is suspended from the support body 10 (see Figure 20). In the illustrated example, the rail fixing bracket 12 is connected to the pole 11 by a connecting bolt 14 that passes through the rail fixing bracket 12.

[0048] The poles 11 of the support 10 are connected by fixing bolts 15 (see Figure 19). The height of the support 10 is adjusted by selecting adjustment holes 11a, which are arranged along the longitudinal direction of the side of each pole 11, and inserting the fixing bolts 15 through them. Each pole 11 is also provided with a crimping screw 16. This crimping screw 16 presses the overlapping parts of each pole 11 from the outside, integrating the poles 11 and eliminating the wobble of the poles 11. A strong crimping force can be obtained by providing a pair of these crimping screws 16 on opposing sides.

[0049] The monitor frame 20 is a long rectangular timber horizontally installed on each support 10 (see Figure 12). In the illustrated example, an aluminum frame is used in which an upper groove 21, a side groove 22, and a lower groove 23 are formed on each side of the rectangular timber (see Figure 15). In this monitor frame 20, one groove is formed in the upper groove 21 and the lower groove 23 on the top and bottom surfaces, and three grooves are formed in the side grooves 22 on both sides. Furthermore, the monitor frame 20 can be connected to any length, and the number of grooves can also be set arbitrarily.

[0050] The connection procedure for the device of the present invention is as follows: First, a pair of left and right monitor mounting brackets 30 are pre-fixed to the back surface of the display P (see Figure 12(a)). Next, the monitor mounting brackets 30 are connected to the monitor frame 20 and the display P is fixed to the monitor frame 20 (see Figure 12(b)). At this time, the locking projection 32C of the monitor mounting bracket 30 is locked into the upper groove 21 of the monitor frame 20 (see Figure 15). Furthermore, the upper and lower retaining screws 33 and 34 are inserted into the upper groove 21 and lower groove 23 of the monitor frame 20, and the engaging body 32 is pressed and fixed to the monitor frame 20 (see Figure 16). The display P, which is pre-fixed to the fixed engaging body 32, is supported in a state parallel to the support 10, i.e., vertical (see Figure 7).

[0051] When the monitor mounting brackets 30 of multiple displays P are connected to the monitor frame 20, the multiple displays P are installed side by side on the monitor frame 20. At this time, the mounting positions of the monitor mounting brackets 30 use the connecting holes that are pre-formed on the back of the displays P, so the heights of adjacent displays P will be aligned to the same height.

[0052] To adjust the angle of the display surface of the display P, the sliding part 31A is slid along the adjustment projection 32A (see Figure 18). That is, when the display P 30 is at a predetermined angle, the angle of the display P is fixed by tightening the fixing screw 32B to the side of the sliding part 31A. After adjusting the angle of one display P, the angles of adjacent displays P are also adjusted so that the angles of all the displays P lined up side by side are finally the same (see Figure 11).

[0053] It should be noted that each configuration shown in the illustration is merely one embodiment of the present invention, and the configurations of the support 10, monitor frame 20, monitor mounting bracket 30, and equipment mounting bracket 40 can be arbitrarily changed without altering the essence of the present invention.
