Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to skin cosmetics used for the face, body, etc.
Background Art
[0002] For a youthful appearance, a certain level of moisture retention in the skin is essential. However, due to aging and the effects of ultraviolet rays, collagen, elastin, etc. in the dermis layer denature, and the moisture retention capacity decreases, making wrinkles and sagging more prominent. As methods for alleviating and improving such symptoms, there are methods of moisturizing with cosmetics and methods of imparting gloss and firmness to the skin.
[0003] When the skin has gloss, wrinkles are less noticeable compared to when there is no gloss, and it feels more youthful, so there is often a demand for gloss on the skin. Generally, when imparting gloss with cosmetics, oily components are often used. However, when attempting to impart gloss with oily components, the oil content on the skin may become excessive, resulting in greasiness. Greasy skin refers to a state where there is excessive oil on the skin, while shiny skin refers to a state where the balance of moisture and oil in the skin is good and the surface is smooth. In order to impart gloss to the skin without causing greasiness, it is necessary to smooth the skin surface while maintaining the balance of moisture and sebum.
[0004] Patent Document 1 discloses a cosmetic containing coated particles in which silicone elastomer particles or silicone elastomer / silicone resin composite particles are coated on the surface of flaky substrate powder, and an oily component containing volatile silicone oil. According to this cosmetic, it is described that it has excellent gloss immediately after application, and even when sebum comes out over time, there is no greasiness and pores can be made less noticeable. However, this cosmetic was insufficient in terms of the effect of imparting firmness to the skin.
[0005] When skin has firmness, wrinkles and sagging become less noticeable, giving a youthful appearance. While it is possible to give skin firmness by methods such as retaining moisture, a more immediate and effective method is to incorporate moisturizers and water-soluble polymers into cosmetics to give the skin a plump feeling from within, while also incorporating ingredients that physically tighten the skin. For example, Patent Document 2 discloses a cosmetic containing Tremella fuciformis polysaccharide and polyoxybutylene polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene glyceryl ether. However, depending on the type of water-soluble polymer, the film on the skin may harden, and although a physical tightening effect is obtained, it may cause a feeling of tightness. Furthermore, Patent Document 3 discloses a skin cosmetic containing coix seed (yokuinin) extract, which has the effect of improving skin firmness and elasticity, but may cause a feeling of tightness.
[0006] To provide firmness without tightness, it is necessary for the film that physically tightens the skin to be soft while providing moisture from within. Patent Document 4 discloses a cosmetic composition containing pectin, trimethylglycine, monosaccharides, and water. This cosmetic composition can provide firmness to the skin, reduce tightness, prevent stickiness, and provide sufficient moisture, thus solving the above problems. However, this cosmetic composition was not entirely satisfactory in terms of skin luster.
[0007] On the other hand, the opportunities to wear masks have increased recently. The inside of the mask becomes a humid environment, causing sebum to be secreted, making it even more difficult to achieve both a glossy finish and an oil-controlling effect. Furthermore, when wearing a mask, friction occurs between the mask and the face, making the skin more sensitive, and the tightness caused by ingredients that physically stretch the skin is more likely to occur than usual. As masks are worn for longer periods of time, improvements are increasingly needed. Therefore, there was a need for a skin cosmetic that was excellent at suppressing oiliness while adding shine, providing firmness without tightness, and maintaining these effects even when wearing a mask. [0009] The object of the present invention is to provide a skin cosmetic that is excellent at suppressing oiliness while adding shine to the skin, provides firmness without tightness, and maintains these effects even when wearing a mask. [Means for solving the problem]
[0010] The inventors of this invention conducted diligent research to solve the above problems and, as a result, discovered that by selecting specific materials and setting their blending ratio within a specific range, a skin cosmetic composition that exhibits the desired effects can be obtained, thus completing the present invention. In other words, the present invention is a skin cosmetic containing the following components (A), (B), (C), and (D). Ingredient (A): Plant-derived proteoglycan 0.001~0.3 mass% Ingredient (B): Acidic mucopolysaccharides in amounts of 0.0001 to 0.07 mass% Ingredients (C): Mulberry extract 0.0005~0.07 mass% Component (D): Dihydric alcohol with 3 to 6 carbon atoms 2 ~20% by mass [Effects of the Invention]
[0011] The skin cosmetic composition of the present invention provides excellent effects in suppressing oiliness while adding shine to the skin, providing firmness without tightness, and maintaining these effects even when wearing a mask. [Modes for carrying out the invention]
[0012] Embodiments of the present invention will be described below. Various modifications are possible without departing from the spirit of the present invention. In this specification, numerical ranges defined using the symbol "~" include the numbers at both ends (upper and lower limits) of "~". For example, "2~5" means 2 or greater and 5 or less. Furthermore, when a concentration or quantity is specified, it is possible to associate any higher concentration or quantity with any lower concentration or quantity. For example, if the description states "2-10% by mass" and "preferably 4-8% by mass," the descriptions "2-4% by mass," "2-8% by mass," "4-10% by mass," and "8-10% by mass" are also included.
[0013] The skin cosmetic composition of the present invention contains at least the following components (A), (B), (C), and (D). Each component is described below.
[0014] <Ingredient (A): Plant-based proteoglycan> The component (A) used in the present invention is a plant-derived proteoglycan, which is a complex of sugar and protein having a special structure. Plant proteoglycans are formed by the binding of arabinogalactan and a core protein in a specific manner, and are formally called arabinogalactan-proteins (AGPs). They exist as extracellular matrix in the cell walls and sap of plants. As for plant-derived proteoglycans, those made from gum arabic obtained from the Acacia senegal Willdenow tree, or a closely related plant of the same genus, belonging to the Mimosoideae subfamily of the Fabaceae family, are preferably used. Here, gum arabic is obtained by drying the secretion that seeps out from wounds in the bark of the aforementioned plant. The plant proteoglycan preferably used as the component (A) is obtained as a purified product mainly excluding arabinogalactan and glycoprotein from arabic gum obtained from plants such as Sterculia lychnophora described above.
[0015] The plant proteoglycan preferably has a weight average molecular weight measured by size exclusion chromatography with an online connection of a multi-angle light scattering detector and a differential refractive index detector of 900,000 to 3,500,000, and more preferably 1,000,000 to 3,000,000. Also, as the plant proteoglycan, those having a total aldehyde content measured by an aldehyde quantification kit such as Amplite (trademark) Colorimetric Aldehyde Quantitation Kit (product number: 10051) (manufactured by AAT Bioquest) of 0.005 to 2.0 μmol equivalent / g are preferably used.
[0016] The production method of the plant proteoglycan is not particularly limited. For example, it can be preferably produced by subjecting an aqueous arabic gum solution prepared to 0.5 to 40% by mass to a porous type I strongly basic anion exchange resin and a strongly acidic cation exchange resin for purification. Also, a commercially available product of plant proteoglycan in the form of an aqueous solution generally having an active ingredient content of about 1% by mass can be used. Examples of such commercially available products of plant proteoglycan include "Proteoglycan (plant)" manufactured by NOF Corporation.
[0017] The content of component (A) is 0.0001 to 0.5% by mass, preferably 0.001 to 0.4% by mass, more preferably 0.005 to 0.3% by mass, still more preferably 0.01 to 0.2% by mass, and particularly preferably 0.05 to 0.2% by mass, based on the total amount of the skin cosmetic. When the content of component (A) is too small, there is no tightening feeling, the effect of obtaining firmness is not sufficient, and the sustainability of the effect in the state of wearing a mask may be insufficient. When the content of component (A) is too large, there may be no tightening feeling and the effect of obtaining firmness may be insufficient.
[0018] <Component (B): Acid mucopolysaccharide> Component (B) used in the present invention is an acid mucopolysaccharide. The "acid mucopolysaccharide" used in the present invention is a component that is widely distributed in connective tissue, cartilage tissue, skin tissue, etc., and has high water retention, and binds to collagen that plays a role as a backbone of the extracellular matrix, and helps to maintain the function and morphology of cells. In skin tissue, acid mucopolysaccharides, collagen, etc. are present in large amounts in the dermis layer and are greatly involved in the water retention and elasticity of the skin. It is known that when the amounts of these decrease due to aging or the like, the water retention and elasticity of the skin are lost, which causes rough skin and fine wrinkles.
[0019] Examples of acid mucopolysaccharides include acid mucopolysaccharides such as hyaluronic acid, chondroitin-4-sulfate, chondroitin-6-sulfate, dermatan sulfate, keratan sulfate, heparin; salts formed by acid mucopolysaccharides and inorganic or organic alkalis; and acetylated products of acid mucopolysaccharides. Examples of inorganic salts of acid mucopolysaccharides include alkali metal salts such as sodium salts and potassium salts, and examples of organic salts include quaternary ammonium salts. Preferred salts are sodium salts and potassium salts. Preferred acid mucopolysaccharides are hyaluronic acid, chondroitin-4-sulfate, chondroitin-6-sulfate or salts thereof, and more preferably hyaluronic acid or a salt thereof. One of these acidic mucopolysaccharides can be used alone or in combination of two or more. The acidic mucopolysaccharides can be commercially available products or prepared products.
[0020] The content of ingredient (B) is 0.0001 to 0.1% by mass relative to the total amount of skin cosmetic, preferably 0.0005 to 0.07% by mass, more preferably 0.001 to 0.05% by mass, even more preferably 0.005 to 0.03% by mass, and particularly preferably 0.005 to 0.02% by mass. If the content of ingredient (B) is too low, the effect of suppressing skin shine while providing luster may not be sufficient, and the effect may not last long enough when wearing a mask. If the content of ingredient (B) is too high, there may be no feeling of tightness, and the effect of providing firmness may not be sufficient. From the viewpoint of the duration of effectiveness while wearing a mask, the mass ratio of the content of component (A) to component (B) (content of component (A) / content of component (B)) is preferably 0.1 to 100, more preferably 1 to 50, and even more preferably 5 to 20.
[0021] <Ingredients (C): Mulberry extract> Component (C) used in the present invention is a mulberry extract obtained from mulberry trees. In the present invention, "mulberry" refers to plants belonging to the genus Morus of the family Moraceae, such as Morus alba L., Morus australis Poir, Morus bombycis Koidz., Morus latifolia (Bur.) Poir., Morus mongolica (Bur.) Schneid., Morus nigra L., and Morus rubra L.. Among these, Morus alba L. is preferred.
[0022] The part of the mulberry used for extraction is not particularly limited, but the root bark can be suitably used. Examples of root bark include root bark with periderm, periderm, and root bark with periderm removed (mulberry bark), and there are no particular restrictions, but root bark with periderm is preferred. Solvents used for extracting mulberry include, for example, water and aqueous solvents. Examples of aqueous solvents include esters such as ethyl acetate; ketones such as acetone; ethers such as polyhydric alcohol alkyl ethers such as diethyl ether, tetrahydrofuran, and diethylene glycol ether; and alcohols such as lower alcohols and polyhydric alcohols. In particular, from the viewpoint of safety and good extraction efficiency, water; lower alcohols such as methanol, ethanol, propanol, and isopropanol; and polyhydric alcohols such as propylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, 1,3-butylene glycol, and glycerin are preferred, with water, ethanol, and 1,3-butylene glycol being more preferred. The extraction solvent may be selected and used alone, or two or more may be used in combination. The solvent extraction process can be carried out using, for example, 100 to 2000 parts by mass, preferably 200 to 1000 parts by mass, per 100 parts by mass of mulberry, if the extraction solvent is water. Similarly, if the extraction solvent is a lower alcohol, extraction can be carried out using 100 to 5000 parts by mass, preferably 500 to 2000 parts by mass.
[0023] The extraction temperature is determined appropriately depending on the type of extraction solvent used. For example, if the extraction solvent is water, the extraction temperature is usually around 20-120°C, and if the extraction solvent is a lower alcohol, it is usually around 30-80°C. A common extraction method is employed. For example, an extraction solvent is added to undried or dried mulberry parts, and the mixture is immersed in it. After stirring or other methods as needed, the extract can be obtained by filtration. Methods for drying the mulberry include air drying, warm drying, and freeze drying. From the perspective of extraction efficiency, the mulberry may also be cut into appropriate small pieces. The extraction time (immersion time) is usually 1 hour or more, preferably 3 hours or more, and more preferably 5 hours or more. From the viewpoint of extraction efficiency, the upper limit of the extraction time is usually 10 hours, preferably 8 hours. The number of extractions is not particularly limited, but it is preferable to perform the extraction once with the aforementioned amount of water or aqueous solvent. The resulting extract may be used as is, or it may be concentrated by solvent removal, purified by methods such as column chromatography or solvent fractionation as needed, and then dried before use. This extract can be diluted with water or a polyhydric alcohol such as glycerin or 1,3-butylene glycol for easier handling. A commercially available product may be used as this extract. An example of a commercially available product is "Mulberry Bark Extract (manufactured by NOF Corporation)". This product is an extract prepared by extracting and drying the root bark (Mulberry Bark) from which the periderm has been removed, using ethanol as the extraction solvent.
[0024] The content of component (C) is 0.0001 to 0.1% by mass relative to the total amount of skin cosmetic, preferably 0.0005 to 0.07% by mass, more preferably 0.001 to 0.05% by mass, even more preferably 0.005 to 0.03% by mass, and particularly preferably 0.005 to 0.02% by mass. If the content of component (C) is too low or too high, the feeling of tightness may not be achieved, and the effect of achieving firmness may be insufficient.
[0025] <Component (D): Dihydric alcohol with 3-6 carbon atoms> Component (D) used in the present invention is a polyhydric alcohol having 3 to 6 carbon atoms and a valency of 2. Examples of such polyhydric alcohols include propylene glycol, 1,3-propanediol, 1,3-butylene glycol, pentylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, hexylene glycol, and isoprene glycol. Among these, 1,3-propanediol, 1,3-butylene glycol, pentylene glycol, and dipropylene glycol are preferred. As component (C), one selected from the above polyhydric alcohols can be used alone or in combination of two or more.
[0026] The content of ingredient (D) is 1 to 20% by mass, preferably 2 to 18% by mass, more preferably 3 to 15% by mass, even more preferably 5 to 13% by mass, and particularly preferably 7 to 12% by mass, based on the total amount of skin cosmetic. If the content of ingredient (D) is too low, the effect of suppressing oiliness while adding shine and the effect of providing firmness without tightness may be insufficient. If the content of ingredient (D) is too high, the effect of suppressing oiliness while adding shine may be insufficient.
[0027] <Water> The skin cosmetic composition of the present invention contains water in addition to each of the above components (A) to (D). Preferred waters include, for example, deionized water, ion-exchanged water, and distilled water. The water content is appropriately set so that the total content of each of the above components (A) to (D) and water is 60% by mass or more, preferably 70 to 100% by mass, and more preferably 75 to 99% by mass, relative to the total amount of skin cosmetic.
[0028] <Other additives> In addition to the above-mentioned components (A) to (D) and water, the skin cosmetic composition of the present invention may further contain other common cosmetic ingredients as additives. Other additives include, for example, oils; fatty acids; pH adjusters; antioxidants; chelating agents; dyes; fragrances; pigments, etc. The content of other additives is preferably 30% by mass or less, and more preferably 25% by mass or less, based on the total amount of the skin cosmetic.
[0029] The skin cosmetic composition of the present invention can be manufactured by known methods. For example, the skin cosmetic composition of the present invention can be manufactured by mixing a plant-derived proteoglycan as component (A), sodium hyaluronate as component (B), mulberry bark extract as component (C), 1,3-butylene glycol as component (D), and water, and optionally other additive components, heating to ensure uniform mixing, and then stirring and cooling to near room temperature.
[0030] The skin cosmetic composition of the present invention can be in the form of a liquid, emulsion, paste, cream, gel, or other dosage form, and can be used on the face, body, etc. [Examples]
