AI Technical Summary
Technical Problem
Existing vehicle front structures fail to effectively prevent debris accumulation inside the side member during collisions, leading to insufficient energy absorption.
Method used
A vehicle front structure with a pair of left and right suspension towers and front side members featuring outward-protruding protrusions that guide deformation outward, preventing debris accumulation and ensuring intended energy absorption.
Benefits of technology
The structure effectively suppresses debris accumulation, facilitating easier energy absorption by guiding deformation along protrusions, thus ensuring the intended energy absorption amount during collisions.

Abstract
To provide a vehicle front part structure that is able to prevent broken pieces of a crack caused by a load applied to a front side member due to a collision, from being accumulated inside the front side member and is able to easily secure an intended amount of energy absorption.SOLUTION: A vehicle front part structure 10 includes at least a pair of right and left suspension towers, and a pair of right and left front side members 12 which are respectively disposed on vehicle lower sides of the suspension towers and extend in a vehicle longitudinal direction, and is integrally molded by die casting. Each front side member 12 has a plurality of compartments 40 aligned in a vehicle longitudinal direction inside thereof, and has a plurality of projecting portions 30 projecting outward toward a vehicle rear side on an inside surface 12A in a vehicle width direction. The plurality of projecting portions 30 provided in the plurality of compartments 40 are continuously formed in the vehicle longitudinal direction so that broken pieces of a crack caused by deformation due to collision are discharged outside a cross section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
