Abstract

To provide a method for manufacturing a wire in which deposition of resin scum to a nozzle of an extrusion device can be inhibited when forming an insulator on an outer circumference of a conductor.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a wire 1 includes an insulating process (step S2) of insulating by covering an outer circumference of a conductor 10 having conductivity by an insulator 30, where the insulating process (step S2) includes an extrusion process (step S2A) of simultaneously extruding the conductor 10, an insulation layer 31 which is applied to an outer circumferential surface side of the conductor 10 and contains additive, and a skin layer 32 which is applied to an outer circumferential surface side of the insulation layer 31 and does not contain the additive, from a nozzle A1 of an extrusion device A.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

Claims

1. The process includes an insulation step in which an insulating material is used to cover the outer circumference of a conductive conductor, The insulation step is characterized by including an extrusion step in which the conductor, an insulating layer applied to the outer surface of the conductor and containing an additive composed of a crosslinking agent mixed with a hydrophilic material, and a skin layer applied to the outer surface of the insulating layer and not containing the additive are simultaneously extruded from the die of an extruder, and as the insulating layer and the skin layer harden, they mix with each other, thereby transferring the additive contained in the insulating layer to the skin layer, and when the additive is distributed throughout the skin layer, the insulating layer and the skin layer harden and become one, thereby forming the insulator. A method for manufacturing electric wires.

2. The thickness of the skin layer is 0.02 mm or more and 0.06 mm or less. The skin layer is formed to be thinner than the insulating layer. A method for manufacturing an electric wire according to claim 1.
