Abstract

Conventional bedding covers are rectangular, bag-shaped, with one side opening, so when washing the cover, the heavy and bulky bedding must be folded and carried through the opening on one side of the rectangle to be put in or taken out.Furthermore, even though the outer and inner surfaces of the cover are different in degree of dirt, they must be washed at the same time, which unnecessarily increases the amount of laundry, which is inconvenient. [Solution] The inner and outer surfaces of the bedding cover that come into contact with the body are separated to form a pair of bedding cover cloths that are equal in length, width and shape, eliminating the need to carry bulky and heavy bedding when replacing the cover and allowing it to be handled individually, so that only the soiled side can be replaced and washed, and if the covers are in a set of three, when a soiled cover is removed, a replacement cover can be quickly attached and the replacement work can be completed in one go, thereby providing a separable bedding cover that significantly reduces the effort, time and labor required to keep bedding clean and can be used for bedding of different sizes.

Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention separates the inner surface and the outer surface of a bedding cover that contact the body, and enables them to be handled individually to simplify the attachment and detachment of the cover and keep the bedding clean, greatly reducing the required time, effort, and labor. It relates to a bedding cover.

Background Art

[0002] Conventionally widely used bedding covers are in a bag shape with one side of a rectangular shape open. Therefore, when attaching and detaching the bedding cover, it is necessary to fold and hold the heavy and bulky bedding and take it in and out through the opening, which requires time and effort. Also, although there is a difference in the degree of dirt between the outer surface and the inner surface that directly contacts the body of the cover, they had to be washed simultaneously. In order to solve these inconveniences, a bedding cover in which the outer surface sheet and the inner surface sheet of the bedding cover are separated has been proposed.

Patent Document 1

Patent Document

[0004] The futon cover of Patent Document 1 is separated into a surface sheet and a back sheet, each of which is a flat cloth. The back sheet is formed longer than the futon in the longitudinal direction and folded back at one end of the futon, and they are joined to each other by fastening tools provided on the entire peripheral edge of the surface sheet and the back sheet. When attaching and detaching the sheets, it is very time-consuming because the fastening tools on the entire peripheral edge of the sheets need to be attached and removed.

[0005] Also, two proposals have been made as methods for directly attaching to a comforter. The first The first method involves separately attaching fasteners to the comforter, allowing the surface sheet and back sheet to be joined together. The second method involves joining the surface sheet, comforter, and back sheet using fasteners that penetrate the thickness of the comforter.

[0006] In the first method, the top and bottom sheets are attached separately to fasteners provided on the comforter, which doubles the effort required to attach and detach the fasteners. In the second method, fasteners that penetrate the thickness of the comforter are used, raising concerns about damage to the bedding.

[0007] Patent Document 2 describes a bedding cover in which two adjacent sides of the upper and lower fabrics are engaged with a single zipper, and the entire circumference is joined with two zippers, making the upper and lower fabrics separable.

[0008] While removing the cover from the bedding is straightforward, attaching it requires careful attention to the positioning of the bedding and the top and bottom covers. This is because the zipper works by having opposing teeth that interlock in a continuous manner, ensuring that the covers cover the bedding from both sides, the ends of both zippers interlock, and the edges of the top and bottom fabrics are aligned for easy engagement. Therefore, it cannot be said that these covers are easy to handle. [Overview of the project] [Problems that the invention aims to solve]

[0009] Conventional bedding covers are typically rectangular bags with an opening on one of the longer sides. When attaching a cover to bedding, the bedding is folded, held, and inserted into the cover through the opening. The shape of the bedding is then adjusted inside the cover. In the case of a comforter, the fasteners on the periphery of the comforter and the fasteners on the inner periphery of the cover must be found and fastened through the opening on one side of the cover. To remove the cover, these steps are reversed.

[0010] Furthermore, since the outer and inner surfaces of the cover must be washed simultaneously despite the difference in degree of soiling, the amount of laundry unnecessarily increases, and after the cover dries, the aforementioned process of putting the cover back on is required before going to bed. Currently, keeping bedding covers clean and comfortable requires considerable effort, time, and resources.

[0011] Preparing bedding presents challenges even in normal household life, as mentioned above. Furthermore, it is difficult for the elderly to carry bedding, and it is easy to imagine that families with elderly or young children spend a great deal of effort, time, and energy changing bedding covers, as they are frequently soiled.

[0012] The objective is to provide bedding covers that solve various inconveniences, can accommodate different bedding sizes, and reduce the time, effort, and labor required for maintenance, making it easy to maintain a clean state. [Means for solving the problem]

[0013] The present invention relates to a separable bedding cover that covers bedding with a pair of bedding cover fabrics having the same length, width, and shape, The pair of bedding cover fabrics consists of a first bedding cover fabric and a second bedding cover fabric. The first bedding cover fabric is formed in a rectangular shape and has a first folded portion at one end along its long axis that is folded to form a bag shape. The second bedding cover fabric is formed in a rectangular shape and has a second folded portion at one end along its long axis, which is folded to form a bag shape. The second bedding cover fabric fits into the first fold of the first bedding cover fabric, and the first bedding cover fabric fits into the second fold of the second bedding cover fabric. The first bedding cover fabric is provided with one or more fasteners for securing the second bedding cover fabric at both ends of the valley of the first bend, at appropriate locations between the ends of the valley, and at appropriate locations between both ends of the other end in the longitudinal direction. The second bedding cover fabric is characterized by having one or more fasteners for securing the first bedding cover fabric provided at both ends of the valley portion of the second bend, at appropriate locations between the ends of the valley portion, and at appropriate locations between both ends of the other end in the longitudinal direction and between the ends of the other end.

[0014] The present invention provides at least one fastening device on both sides of the longitudinal axis edge of the first bedding cover fabric for locking onto both sides of the longitudinal axis edge of the second bedding cover fabric. The second bedding cover fabric is characterized by having at least one fastening device on both sides of its longitudinal axis edge for securing the longitudinal axis edge of the first bedding cover fabric.

[0015] The present invention is characterized in that the fasteners provided on the first bedding cover fabric and the second bedding cover fabric can be fastened to fasteners provided on the periphery of the bedding. [Effects of the Invention]

[0016] The present invention relates to a separable bedding cover that covers the entire bedding with a pair of bedding cover fabrics of equal length, width, and shape, wherein the folded portion is a bag-like shape with both sides sewn together, and the width of the short axis of the cover fabric is the width of the opening of the folded portion. The length of the cover fabric that covers the bedding and is inserted into the folded portion is such that it reaches the valley of the folded portion into which it is inserted.

[0017] The method for attaching the separable bedding cover fabric of the present invention involves covering the top surface of the bedding spread on the floor with the first bedding cover fabric, inserting one end of the bedding into the first bend, then turning the bedding over and covering the bedding by inserting the other end of the bedding into the second bend of the second bedding cover fabric, inserting the end of the second bedding cover fabric into the first bend, engaging the fastener at the valley of the first bend and the fastener at the end of the second bedding cover fabric, turning the bedding over again and inserting the end of the first bedding cover fabric into the bend of the second bedding cover fabric, engaging the fastener at the valley of the second bend and the fastener at the end of the first bedding cover fabric, and then engaging the fasteners at both edges of the bedding.

[0018] When the fasteners at the end of the cover cloth and the trough of the folded part are locked, the ends of the long axis are joined. Further, when the fasteners at the side edges in the long axis direction of the bedding cover cloth are locked, the two cover cloths are joined at the four sides and the bedding is covered in a stable state.

[0019] When removing the cover cloth, with the bedding spread out, it is only necessary to unlock and remove the fasteners inside the folded parts at both ends of the bedding and the fasteners on both sides.

[0020] : In the case of a conventional futon cover, when putting on the futon cover, for a thick and heavy futon, it needs to be folded and held, put into the cover through the opening on one side of the bag shape, and spread out inside the cover to shape it. Also, when taking it out, it is done in the reverse procedure, which is a laborious task requiring time and effort compared to the case of the present invention.

[0021] Conventionally, fasteners such as tying strings or loops through which strings are passed are provided at regular intervals on the periphery of the throw blanket according to the size of the throw blanket, such as single or double. On the inner periphery of the throw blanket cover, tying strings that can be locked with the fasteners on the periphery of the throw blanket are provided, and the throw blanket is locked to the inner periphery of the throw blanket cover, preventing the throw blanket from deforming or shifting inside the cover when sleeping.

[0022] When attaching the cover cloth to the throw blanket, put it into the cover through the opening, spread it out and shape it, and then lock the fasteners of the throw blanket and the futon cover. This operation has to be carried out while searching for the fasteners while looking inside the cover from the opening of the futon cover, which takes time and effort.

[0023] Regarding the attachment and detachment of the fasteners of the present invention, when locking the fasteners at the end of the cover cloth inserted into the trough of the folded part, the depth of the folded part is shallow and the opening of the folded part opens wide, so it can be carried out while visually observing the fasteners. Since it can also be visually observed at both side edges, compared with conventional bag-shaped covers and Patent Document 1 and Patent Document 2, the attachment and detachment operation of the cover cloth is greatly simplified.

[0024] If the fastening device provided on the comforter is a tie string, the present invention also uses a tie string and can be tied together with the two tie strings of the first and second bedding cover fabrics to fasten the first bedding cover fabric, the comforter, and the second bedding cover fabric. Alternatively, if the fastening device provided on the comforter is a loop through which a tie string can be passed, one of the tie strings of the bedding cover fabric can be passed through the loop and tied to fasten it.

[0025] Since the pair of bedding cover fabrics of the present invention are the same in length, width, and shape, the first and second bedding cover fabrics can be swapped without any problems. Furthermore, if one extra similar cover fabric is kept on hand as a replacement cover, these three covers can form a pair in any combination. When one of the bedding covers becomes soiled and needs to be replaced, the soiled cover can be removed and the replacement cover can be immediately attached. The replacement process only needs to be done once, eliminating the need to wash and dry the covers before putting them on before going to bed.

[0026] Because the inner surface, which comes into contact with the body and gets heavily soiled, and the outer surface, which gets less soiled, can be handled separately, the washing frequency can be adjusted according to the degree of soiling, and only the cover that needs washing can be washed, thus reducing the amount of laundry by half.

[0027] At the ends along the long axis, the locking parts of the fasteners are covered by the bent sections and are not visible from the outside, thus not compromising the appearance. At the side edges along the long axis, if the fasteners are positioned closer to the inside, the locking parts become less visible from the outside, and the appearance is not compromised.

[0028] The separable cover fabric of the present invention, whether used for a mattress or a comforter, allows for balanced adjustment of the number and spacing of fasteners to accommodate the size of the bedding without compromising comfort. Furthermore, the cover is easy to attach and detach, and by providing one spare cover fabric for each pair of cover fabrics of the present invention, the replacement process can be completed in a single step. This significantly reduces the time, effort, and labor required to keep bedding covers clean.

[0029] In addition to typical households, the separable bedding cover fabric of the present invention makes it easy to keep bedding clean, especially for elderly people who have difficulty handling bulky and heavy bedding, and for households where bedding frequently gets soiled due to childcare or caregiving.

[0030] Furthermore, for use in elderly care or with infants, using functional fabrics for the cover material that are breathable yet water-repellent, or have antibacterial properties, can improve hygiene and comfort. [Brief explanation of the drawing]

[Figure 19] Figure 18 is a schematic diagram of the cross-section along line CC. [Modes for carrying out the invention]

[0032] A first embodiment of the present invention is described below. <First Embodiment> As shown in Figures 1 to 4, the separate bedding cover of the first embodiment is rectangular in shape and covers the bedding 7 with a pair of bedding cover fabrics of equal length, width, and shape. The pair of bedding cover fabrics consists of a first bedding cover fabric 2 having a first folded portion 3 formed by folding the fabric at one end along the long axis to create a bag shape, and a second bedding cover fabric 5 having a second folded portion 6 formed by folding the fabric at one end to create a bag shape.

[0033] Tie strings of fasteners 4 are provided at both ends of the valley section of the bend in the bedding cover and at both ends of the other end, and one or more tie strings 4-1 are provided at appropriate locations between each end. Depending on the length between the ends, such as single size or double size, the number and spacing of fasteners are adjusted in a balanced manner and provided at appropriate locations that do not impair usability. Figure 1 shows an example for single size, where tie strings are provided at both ends and in the center between them. One or more fasteners shall be provided at appropriate locations on the long axis side edge of the bedding cover fabric in the portion not covered by the bends at both ends of the long axis. For long-sized bedding, the number and spacing of fasteners shall be adjusted as necessary according to the length of the portion not covered by the bends, and fasteners shall be provided at appropriate locations in a balanced manner.

[0034] In Figure 2, both ends of the bedding 7 in the longitudinal direction are covered by the first bend 3 and the second bend 6, and within the valleys of each bend, as shown in Figure 3, the ties 4 and 4-1, 8 and 8-1 are positioned to be secured, and the fasteners at the longitudinal ends of the first bedding cover fabric and the second bedding cover fabric are secured 10. On the longitudinal side edges of the bedding cover fabric, ties 4-2 of the fasteners that join the first bedding cover fabric 2 and the second bedding cover fabric 5 are provided and secured 9 at appropriate locations other than the parts covered by the bends.

[0035] In Figure 4, one end of the bedding 7 and the second bedding cover fabric 5 are inserted into the first bend 3, and the other end of the bedding 7 and the first bedding cover fabric 2 are inserted into the second bend 6. The ends of the inserted cover fabrics reach the valleys of each bend, and at the valleys of the bends along the long axis, the fasteners 4-1 of the valley of the first bedding cover fabric 2 and the fasteners 8-1 of the end of the second bedding cover fabric 5 are locked together 10, and the four sides of the bedding cover fabric are joined, so that the bedding 7 is covered by the bedding cover in a stable state.

[0036] In Figures 1-4, the bedding covers are fastened together with fasteners but not to the bedding itself, making it suitable for thick futons that do not deform during use.

[0037] <Modification of the first embodiment> A modified version of the first embodiment is a detachable bedding cover in which fasteners that can be fastened to fasteners provided at regular intervals around the periphery of the comforter 11 are provided. Typically, in the case of a single-size comforter 11, fasteners 12 are provided at three locations on both ends along the long axis, and at the center, and one fastener 12 is provided at the center of the side edge along the long axis. Here, an example of a cover used for a typical single-size comforter 11 will be described.

[0038] The size of the bedding cover varies depending on the size of the comforter 11, such as single or double size. If the comforter 11 is double size, the width increases, and the number of fasteners increases. The fasteners 12 are arranged in a balanced way so as not to impair the feel of use, so the fasteners on the cover are also made to match the comforter 11. If the length of the comforter 11 is longer, the same adjustments are made to the fasteners on both sides of the edge.

[0039] Figure 5 shows that one end of the comforter 11 is tucked into the first bend 3, and the lower surface of the comforter 11 is covered with the first bedding cover fabric 2. The first bedding cover fabric 2 has fastening ties 4 at both ends of the valley of the first bend 3 and the other end, a fastening ties 4-1 in the center between the ends, and fastening ties 4-2 on both side edges, each of which can be fastened to the fastening ties 12 of the comforter 11. The dashed lines of the fastening ties 4, 4-1, and 12 represent the fastenings covered by the first bend 3.

[0040] In Figure 6, the upper side of the comforter 11 shown in Figure 5 is covered with the second bedding cover fabric 5, the other end of the comforter 11 and the first bedding cover fabric 2 are inserted into the second fold 6, and the second bedding cover fabric 5 is inserted into the first fold.

[0041] The second bedding cover fabric 5 is provided with fastening ties 8, 8-1 at the second bend 6 valley and the other end, and fastening ties 8-2 are provided at both side edges. The fastening parts 13 at both side edges are the fastening parts 13 of the fastening ties 4-2 of the first bedding cover, the string 12 provided on the comforter, and the fastening ties 8-2 of the second bedding cover.

[0042] Figure 7 shows that the end of the comforter 11 and the end of the second bedding cover fabric 5 are inserted into the first bend 3, and the tie string 4-1 provided in the valley of the first bend 3, the tie string 8-1 provided at the longitudinal end of the second bedding cover fabric, and the tie string 12 provided on the periphery of the comforter 11 can be fastened together.

[0043] In Figure 6, the fastening portions 13 on both sides of the edge appear exposed. However, when attaching the fastening ties 4-2 and 8-2 to the edges of the cover fabric, if they are attached about 40 mm inward from the end of the side edge, the fastening portions 13 will be covered by the cover fabric, thus not detracting from the appearance. Furthermore, even in areas where fastening devices are not provided on the comforter 11, fastening devices may be provided to fasten the first bedding cover fabric and the second bedding cover fabric together.

[0044] If the fastening device 12 of the comforter 11 is a tie string, it can be fastened by combining it with one of the two tie strings provided on the cover fabric to make two strings and one string. If the fastening device 12 of the comforter 11 is loop-shaped, it can be fastened by passing one of the tie strings on the cover fabric through the loop and tying it.

[0045] Figure 8 shows that at both ends of the comforter 11, the respective fasteners are secured, and the fastening parts 14 are covered by the first bent part 3 and the second bent part 5 and are not visible from the outside, so the appearance is not spoiled.

[0046] While the present invention has shown an embodiment in which a tie-string fastener is used on the comforter cover, corresponding to the conventional fastener 12 provided on the comforter 11 being a tie string or a loop through which a tie string passes, the invention is not limited to this, and of course, if the comforter is provided with other types of fasteners, a fastener that can be fastened in accordance with those fasteners can be used.

[0047] Figure 9 shows that by providing a high-friction fabric 15 on the outside of the end of the second bedding cover fabric 5 in the part that is inserted into the bent portion 3, and a high-friction fabric 16 on the inside of the first bent portion 3, the bedding covers are locked together. Furthermore, if the high-friction fabric 15 is provided in the area that extends from the opening 3-1 in the bent portion 3, across the valley, and into contact with the end of the bedding 11, friction is generated with the fabric of the bedding 11, fixing the cover fabric to the bedding 11 and stably covering the bedding. Moreover, if the high-friction fabric 15 is also provided at the end of the bedding, the stability of the bedding and the cover fabric is further increased.

[0048] On both sides of the edges, high-friction fabric can be provided on the side edges of the first bedding cover fabric 2 and the second bedding cover fabric 5 to join the bedding together. Furthermore, if the high-friction fabric is provided over a wide area, and the bedding itself is equipped with high-friction fabric on its side edges, the cover fabrics and the bedding will join together, allowing the bedding and cover fabric to become one unit for comfortable use.

[0049] Figure 10 shows that buttons 17 and button fasteners 19 are provided so as to contact each fastening point at the edge of the cover fabric that is inserted into the folded portion. Figure 11 shows that buttons 17-1 and button fasteners 19-1 are provided so as to contact each fastening point at the valley portion of the folded portion, and buttons 17-2 and button fasteners 19-2 are provided so as to contact appropriate locations on the side edge. Each button fastener 19 is attached to the button fastener attachment part 18 next to the button. Buttons 17 are preferably flat and circular with a diameter of approximately 25 mm.

[0050] Since the button 17 and the button fastening ring 19 are provided in the same place, the separated cover fabrics become a pair of bedding cover fabrics with equal length, width, and shape, and the two bedding cover fabrics can be joined together on all four sides of the periphery of the cover fabrics, just as when using a tie string.

[0051] The depth of the folded portion is preferably around 300 mm. The collar of the duvet cover is the part that comes into direct contact with the skin and is most likely to get dirty. When using the duvet cover of the present invention, the opening of the folded portion at the collar should be positioned on the outer surface of the bedding, and the cover fabric should be doubled in the area extending approximately 200 mm beyond the opening of the folded portion into the valley. This prevents dirt from the collar from transferring to the bedding through the cover fabric, and further reinforces the folded portion, which improves the retention of the edges of the bedding.

[0052] By using a pair of cover fabrics with different colors and patterns, or by incorporating materials with different textures into the replacement covers, you can enjoy variations in bedding design and feel that suit the season. You can also use a different fabric at the folds to add variation to the design. The appropriate size for the tie string of the fastening device is approximately 10 mm in width and 200 mm in length. The material should preferably be a fabric with friction properties to prevent the fastening from coming undone.

[0053] The present invention is not limited to the embodiments described above and can be modified as appropriate.

[0054] For high-friction fabrics, brushed tricot, which has a very fine nap on its surface and does not become stiff after washing, is suitable. The characteristic of brushed tricot (suede-like tricot) is that its surface has a very fine nap, making it non-slip even with light contact, and the napped surfaces do not easily shift with each other, providing a slight anti-slip effect. Other suitable options include microfiber brushed fabric (suede-like polyester). Its features include excellent friction, a non-slip napped surface, the ability to easily secure items by pressing them together, high washability (being primarily polyester, it is very resistant to washing, spinning, and drying), and a pleasant feel against the skin. Its suede-like texture makes it very soft, non-stiff, and comfortable even when in direct contact with the skin. It is also lightweight, doesn't add bulk, doesn't feel bulky as a cover, and offers adequate breathability. This means that when you press two pieces of the same material together, the friction creates a "temporary fixing" state, and by pressing the linings together, it prevents slipping → it is effective in preventing duvet covers and fitted sheets from shifting. The first bedding cover fabric is provided with a first high-friction fabric for securing the second bedding cover fabric, on the inner surface of the first bend and on the outer surface of the other end in the longitudinal direction of the second bedding cover fabric that is in contact with the second high-friction fabric on the inner surface of the second bend. The second bedding cover fabric is provided with the second high-friction fabric for securing the first bedding cover fabric on the inner surface of the second bend and on the outer surface of the other end in the longitudinal direction of the first bedding cover fabric that is in contact with the first high-friction fabric on the inner surface of the first bend of the first bedding cover fabric. The aforementioned high-friction fabric has a very fine napped surface, making it slip-resistant to contact, and the napped surfaces do not easily shift, thus providing an anti-slip effect. This is a separable bedding cover.

2. A high-friction fabric is provided on the inner surfaces of both long-axis edges of the first bedding cover fabric to engage with both long-axis edges of the second bedding cover fabric. The separable bedding cover according to claim 1, characterized in that a high-friction fabric is provided on the inner surfaces of both long-axis edges of the second bedding cover fabric, which engages with both long-axis edges of the first bedding cover fabric.

3. At least both ends of the valley portion of the first bend and the 2. Secure both ends of the other end of the bedding cover fabric, and further, both of the valleys of the second bend The bedding cover fabric is provided with fasteners for securing both ends of the end and the other end of the first bedding cover fabric. A separable bedding cover according to claim 1 or claim 2, characterized by the above.

4. A set comprising bedding characterized by having a high-friction fabric on the edges of the front and back sides of the bedding, which has a very fine napped surface that is non-slip to the touch and prevents the napped surfaces from shifting, thus providing an anti-slip effect, and a separate bedding cover according to claim 1 or claim 2.
