Abstract

To control light of a light color and illuminance emitted by a luminaire using electric wires, the number of which is small.SOLUTION: A vehicle illumination system comprises a luminaire provided at a vehicle and a vehicle controller provided at the vehicle. The vehicle controller includes: a first table storage unit that stores a first table in which colors or illuminances differing from each other are associated with a plurality of patterns in pulse width modulation, respectively; and a control unit for transmitting, to the luminaire, a control signal on which pulse width modulation of a pattern corresponding to a color or an illuminance designated by operation is performed. The luminaire includes: a light-emitting unit capable of emitting light of different colors and illuminances; a second table storage unit that stores a second table in which the same colors or illuminances as those in the first table are associated with the plurality of patterns, respectively; and a drive unit for performing updating to the color or the illuminance corresponding to a pattern of the received control signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
