Description

Terminal, wireless communication method and base station

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a terminal, a wireless communication method, and a base station in a next-generation mobile communication system.

[0002] Long Term Evolution (LTE) has been specified for the Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) network with the aim of achieving higher data rates and lower latency (Non-Patent Document 1). Also, LTE-Advanced (3GPP Rel. 10-14) has been specified with the aim of achieving higher capacity and more advanced features than LTE (Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) Release (Rel.) 8, 9).

[0003] Successor systems to LTE (e.g., 5th generation mobile communication system (5G), 5G+ (plus), 6th generation mobile communication system (6G), New Radio (NR), 3GPP Rel. 15 or later, etc.) are also being considered.

[0004] 3GPP TS 36.300 V8.12.0 “Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access (E-UTRA) and Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN); Overall description; Stage 2 (Release 8)”, April 2010

[0005] In Rel. 17 and later, in group-based beam reporting, it is being considered that the beam group type be set by the base station or reported by the UE.

[0006] However, the configuration / reporting in group-based beam reporting has not yet been sufficiently studied. If these studies are not sufficient, appropriate communication between the TRP and the UE may not be performed, and communication throughput may be reduced.

[0007] One of the objectives of the present disclosure is to provide a terminal, a wireless communication method, and a base station that can appropriately set / report beam group types in group-based beam reporting.

[0008] A terminal according to one aspect of the present disclosure has a receiving unit that receives a beam group type setting that indicates at least one of whether multiple beams in a beam group are associated with different spatial domain receive filters, whether the multiple beams are used for spatial multiplexing or spatial diversity, and the maximum number of layers per downlink reference signal in the beam group, and a control unit that controls the performance of beam measurements and the reporting of the beam group type based on the setting.

[0009] According to one aspect of the present disclosure, beam group types in group-based beam reporting can be appropriately set / reported.

[0011] (CSI) In NR, the UE measures the channel state using a reference signal (or a resource for the reference signal) and feeds back (reports) channel state information (CSI) to the network (e.g., a base station).

[0012] The UE may measure the channel state using at least one of a Channel State Information Reference Signal (CSI-RS), a Synchronization Signal / Physical Broadcast Channel (SS / PBCH) block, a Synchronization Signal (SS), a Demodulation Reference Signal (DMRS), etc.

[0013] The CSI-RS resource may include at least one of a Non Zero Power (NZP) CSI-RS resource, a Zero Power (ZP) CSI-RS resource, and a CSI Interference Measurement (CSI-IM) resource.

[0014] Resources for measuring signal components for CSI may be referred to as signal measurement resources (SMR) or channel measurement resources (CMR). The SMR (CMR) may include, for example, NZP CSI-RS resources, SSBs, etc. for channel measurement.

[0015] A resource for measuring interference components for CSI may be referred to as an interference measurement resource (IMR). The IMR may include, for example, at least one of an NZP CSI-RS resource, an SSB, a ZP CSI-RS resource, and a CSI-IM resource for interference measurement.

[0016] An SS / PBCH block is a block that includes a synchronization signal (e.g., a Primary Synchronization Signal (PSS) and a Secondary Synchronization Signal (SSS)) and a PBCH (and corresponding DMRS), and may also be referred to as an SS block (SSB).

[0017] The CSI may include at least one of a Channel Quality Indicator (CQI), a Precoding Matrix Indicator (PMI), a CSI-RS Resource Indicator (CRI), a SS / PBCH Block Resource Indicator (SSBRI), a Layer Indicator (LI), a Rank Indicator (RI), L1-RSRP (Layer 1 Reference Signal Received Power), L1-RSRQ (Reference Signal Received Quality), L1-SINR (Signal to Interference plus Noise Ratio), L1-SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio), and the like.

[0018] The CSI may have multiple parts: CSI Part 1 may include information with a relatively small number of bits (e.g., RI), and CSI Part 2 may include information with a relatively large number of bits (e.g., CQI), such as information determined based on CSI Part 1.

[0019] Furthermore, CSI may be classified into several CSI types. The type and size of information to be reported may differ depending on the CSI type. For example, a CSI type set for communication using a single beam (also referred to as type I CSI, single-beam CSI, etc.) and a CSI type set for communication using multiple beams (also referred to as type II CSI, multi-beam CSI, etc.) may be defined. The use of CSI types is not limited to this.

[0020] As CSI feedback methods, periodic CSI (P-CSI) reporting, aperiodic CSI (A-CSI) reporting, semi-persistent CSI (SP-CSI) reporting, etc. are being considered.

[0021] The UE may be notified of the CSI measurement configuration information using higher layer signaling, physical layer signaling, or a combination thereof.

[0022] In the present disclosure, higher layer signaling may be, for example, any one of Radio Resource Control (RRC) signaling, Medium Access Control (MAC) signaling, broadcast information, etc., or a combination thereof.

[0023] The MAC signaling may use, for example, a MAC Control Element (MAC CE), a MAC Protocol Data Unit (PDU), etc. The broadcast information may be, for example, a Master Information Block (MIB), a System Information Block (SIB), Remaining Minimum System Information (RMSI), Other System Information (OSI), etc.

[0024] The physical layer signaling may be, for example, Downlink Control Information (DCI).

[0025] The CSI measurement configuration information may be configured, for example, using the RRC information element "CSI-MeasConfig." The CSI measurement configuration information may include CSI resource configuration information (RRC information element "CSI-ResourceConfig"), CSI reporting configuration information (RRC information element "CSI-ReportConfig"), etc. The CSI resource configuration information relates to resources for CSI measurement, and the CSI reporting configuration information relates to how the UE performs CSI reporting.

[0026] 1A and 1B are diagrams illustrating an example of RRC information elements related to CSI reporting configuration and CSI resource configuration. In this example, excerpts of fields (which may also be referred to as parameters) included in the information elements are illustrated. 1A and 1B are written using ASN.1 (Abstract Syntax Notation One) notation. Note that other figures relating to RRC information elements (or RRC parameters) in the present disclosure are also written using the same notation.

[0027] As shown in FIG. 1A , the CSI reporting configuration information ("CSI-ReportConfig") includes resource information for channel measurement ("resourcesForChannelMeasurement"). The CSI reporting configuration information may also include resource information for interference measurement (e.g., NZP CSI-RS resource information for interference measurement ("nzp-CSI-RS-ResourcesForInterference"), CSI-IM resource information for interference measurement ("csi-IM-ResourcesForInterference"), etc.). These pieces of resource information correspond to the ID (Identifier) of the CSI resource configuration information ("CSI-ResourceConfigId").

[0028] In addition, the IDs of the CSI resource configuration information corresponding to each piece of resource information (which may also be called CSI resource configuration IDs) may be one or more of the same value, or may each have a different value.

[0029] 1B , the CSI resource configuration information (“CSI-ResourceConfig”) may include a CSI resource configuration information ID, CSI-RS resource set list information (“csi-RS-ResourceSetList”), a resource type (“resourceType”), etc. The CSI-RS resource set list may include at least one of NZP CSI-RS and SSB information for measurement (“nzp-CSI-RS-SSB”) and CSI-IM resource set list information (“csi-IM-ResourceSetList”).

[0030] The resource type indicates the time domain behavior of this resource configuration, and can be set to "aperiodic," "semi-persistent," or "periodic." For example, the corresponding CSI-RSs may be called A-CSI-RS, SP-CSI-RS, and P-CSI-RS, respectively.

[0031] The channel measurement resources may be used to calculate, for example, CQI, PMI, L1-RSRP, etc. The interference measurement resources may be used to calculate L1-SINR, L1-SNR, L1-RSRQ, and other indices related to interference.

[0032] When interference measurements are performed on CSI-IM, each CSI-RS for channel measurements may be associated with a CSI-IM resource in terms of resources based on the order of the CSI-RS resources and CSI-IM resources in the corresponding resource set.

[0033] The "nzp-CSI-RS-SSB" may include NZP CSI-RS resource set list information ("nzp-CSI-RS-ResourceSetList") and SSB resource set list information for CSI measurements ("csi-SSB-ResourceSetList"), which correspond to one or more NZP CSI-RS resource set IDs ("NZP-CSI-RS-ResourceSetId") and CSI-SSB resource set IDs ("CSI-SSB-ResourceSetId"), respectively, and may be used to identify resources to be measured.

[0034] The NZP CSI-RS resource set list information ("nzp-CSI-RS-ResourceSetList") may include an NZP CSI-RS resource set ID ("NZP-CSI-RS-ResourceSetId") of the maximum number of NZP CSI-RS resource sets per CSI resource configuration ("maxNrofNZP-CSI-RS-ResourceSetsPerConfig"), which may be up to 16 if the resource type is "aperiodic" and 1 otherwise (if the resource type is "semi-persistent" or "periodic").

[0035] The SSB resource set list information for CSI measurements ("csi-SSB-ResourceSetList") may include the CSI-SSB resource set IDs ("CSI-SSB-ResourceSetId") of the maximum number of SSB resource sets for CSI measurements per CSI resource configuration ("maxNrofCSI-SSB-ResourceSetsPerConfig"). The maximum number of SSB resource sets for CSI measurements per CSI resource configuration ("maxNrofCSI-SSB-ResourceSetsPerConfig") may be 1.

[0036] The CSI-IM resource set list information ("csi-IM-ResourceSetList") may include the CSI-IM resource set ID ("CSI-IM-ResourceSetId") of the maximum number of CSI-IM resource sets per CSI resource configuration ("maxNrofCSI-IM-ResourceSetsPerConfig"), which may be up to 16 if the resource type is "aperiodic" and 1 otherwise.

[0037] 2A and 2B are diagrams illustrating example RRC information elements for NZP CSI-RS resource sets and CSI-SSB resource sets.

[0038] As shown in FIG. 2A , the NZP CSI-RS resource set information (“NZP-CSI-RS-ResourceSet”) includes an NZP CSI-RS resource set ID and one or more NZP CSI-RS resource IDs (“NZP-CSI-RS-ResourceId”).

[0039] The NZP CSI-RS resource information ("NZP-CSI-RS-Resource") may include an NZP CSI-RS resource ID and an ID ("TCI-stateId") of a transmission configuration indication state (TCI state). The TCI state will be described later.

[0040] As shown in Figure 2B, the CSI-SSB resource set information ("CSI-SSB-ResourceSet") includes a CSI-SSB resource set ID and one or more SSB index information ("SSB-Index"), which may be an integer between 0 and 63, inclusive, and may be used to identify an SSB within an SS burst.

[0041] FIG. 3 is a diagram showing an example of RRC information elements related to the TCI state.

[0042] The TCI state is information about the Quasi-Co-Location (QCL) of a channel or a signal, and may also be called spatial reception parameters, spatial relation info, etc. The TCI state may be configured or specified to the UE on a per-channel or per-signal basis.

[0043] As shown in Fig. 3, the TCI state information ("TCI-State") may include a TCI state ID and one or more pieces of QCL information ("QCL-Info"). The QCL information may include at least one of information on a reference signal of the QCL source (RS-related information ("referenceSignal")) and information indicating a QCL type (QCL type information ("qcl-Type")). The RS-related information may include information such as an index of the RS (e.g., NZP CSI-RS resource ID, SSB index), a serving cell index, and an index of a BWP (Bandwidth Part) where the RS is located.

[0044] The UE may control reception processing (e.g., at least one of reception, demapping, demodulation, decoding, receive beam determination, etc.), transmission processing (e.g., at least one of transmission, mapping, modulation, coding, transmit beam determination, etc.), etc. for at least one of a signal and a channel (referred to as a signal / channel) based on the TCI state corresponding to the TCI state ID associated with the signal / channel.

[0045] As shown in Figure 2A, for the P-CSI-RS, the associated TCI state may be configured by RRC, whereas for the P-CSI-RS, SP-CSI-RS, and A-CSI-RS, the associated TCI state may be determined based on higher layer signaling, physical layer signaling, or a combination thereof.

[0046] (Beam Management) In Rel. 15 NR, a method of Beam Management (BM) has been considered. In this beam management, beam selection is performed based on the L1-RSRP reported by the UE. Changing (switching) the beam of a certain signal / channel may correspond to changing at least one of the TCI state and QCL assumption of the signal / channel.

[0047] The UE may report (transmit) measurement results for beam management using an uplink control channel (Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH)) or an uplink shared channel (Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH)). The measurement results may be CSI including at least one of L1-RSRP, L1-RSRQ, L1-SINR, and L1-SNR, for example.

[0048] Measurement results (e.g., CSI) reported for beam management may be referred to as beam measurements, beam measurement reports, beam reports, beam report CSI, etc.

[0049] The CSI measurement for the beam report may include interference measurement. The UE may measure channel quality, interference, etc. using resources for CSI measurement to derive a beam report.

[0050] The beam report may include at least one of a channel quality measurement result and an interference measurement result. The channel quality measurement result may include, for example, L1-RSRP. The interference measurement result may include, for example, L1-SINR, L1-SNR, L1-RSRQ, or other interference-related indicators (e.g., any indicator other than L1-RSRP).

[0051] The CSI reporting configuration information taking into account the current NR beam management will be described with reference to Figure 4. Figure 4 is an excerpt of the RRC information element "CSI-ReportConfig". Figure 4 excerpts another part of the same CSI reporting configuration information (CSI-ReportConfig) as Figure 1A.

[0052] The CSI reporting configuration information may include a "report quantity" (which may be represented by the RRC parameter "reportQuantity"), which is information on parameters to be reported in one report instance (e.g., one CSI). The report quantity is defined by an ASN.1 object type called "choice type." Therefore, one of the parameters (cri-RSRP, ssb-Index-RSRP, etc.) defined as the report quantity is set.

[0053] A UE in which an upper layer parameter included in the CSI reporting setting information (e.g., the RRC parameter "groupBasedBeamReporting" related to group-based beam reporting) is set to disabled may include in a beam report (one report instance) for each report setting, different numbers of beam measurement resource IDs (e.g., SSBRI, CRI) for the upper layer parameter included in the CSI reporting setting information (e.g., the RRC parameter "nrofReportedRS" indicating the number of RSs to be reported), and measurement results (e.g., L1-RSRP) corresponding to each ID.

[0054] A UE with groupBasedBeamReporting enabled may include, for each report configuration, two different beam measurement resource IDs and two measurement results (e.g., L1-RSRP) corresponding to the respective IDs in the beam report. In other words, a UE with groupBasedBeamReporting enabled divides DL-RSs (e.g., CSI-RSs) into two groups and reports the ID and measurement results for the top RS in each group. Note that the two beam measurement resources (CSI-RS resources, SSB resources) may be simultaneously received by the UE using one spatial domain receive filter or multiple simultaneous spatial domain receive filters.

[0055] 2A may include information regarding repetition of resources within the resource set. The information regarding repetition may indicate, for example, 'on' or 'off'. Note that 'on' may be expressed as 'enabled' or 'valid', and 'off' may be expressed as 'disabled' or 'invalid'.

[0056] For example, for a resource set with repetition set 'on', the UE may assume that the resources in that resource set are transmitted using the same downlink spatial domain transmission filter, and in this case, the UE may assume that the resources in that resource set are transmitted using the same beam (e.g., from the same base station).

[0057] For a resource set for which repetition is set to 'off', the UE may control such that it must not (or may not) assume that resources within the resource set are transmitted using the same downlink spatial-domain transmit filter. In this case, the UE may assume that resources within the resource set are not transmitted using the same beam (transmitted using different beams). In other words, for a resource set for which repetition is set to 'off', the UE may assume that the base station is performing beam sweeping.

[0058] In Rel. 15 NR, the cri-RSRP and ssb-index-RSRP reporting parameters are related to beam management. A UE configured with cri-RSRP as the reporting parameter reports a CRI and the L1-RSRP corresponding to the CRI. A UE configured with ssb-index-RSRP as the reporting parameter reports an SSBRI and the L1-RSRP corresponding to the SSBRI.

[0059] Fig. 5 is a diagram illustrating an example of a CSI report in Rel. 15 NR. Fig. 5 illustrates the mapping order of CSI fields included in one CSI report (n-th CSI report #n) for CSI / RSRP or SSBRI / RSRP reporting, as specified in Rel. 15.

[0060] The CSI report in Fig. 5 may include one or more pairs of CRI / SSBRI and RSRP, the number of which may be configured by a higher layer parameter (e.g., the RRC parameter "nrofReportedRS") indicating the number of reference signal resources to be reported.

[0061] For L1-RSRP reporting, if nrofReportedRS is set to 1 (value 'n1'), RSRP#1, a field of a predetermined number of bits (e.g., m bits) indicating the L1-RSRP of the largest measurement value, is included in the CSI report. In Rel. 15 NR, m=7.

[0062] For L1-RSRP reporting, if nrofReportedRS is set to a value greater than 1 or if groupBasedBeamReporting is enabled, the UE uses differential L1-RSRP-based reporting. Specifically, the UE includes, in the same CSI report (reporting instance), RSRP#1 indicating the L1-RSRP of the largest measured value and differential RSRP#k calculated for the kth (k=2, 3, 4 in FIG. 5) largest L1-RSRP by referring to the largest measured value (e.g., as a difference from the measured value). Here, differential RSRP#k may be a field of fewer bits (e.g., n bits) than the predetermined number. In Rel. 15 NR, n=4.

[0063] For example, for each group, a 7-bit absolute RSRP value (ranging from -140 to -44 dBm with a 1 dB step size) for the first beam and a 4-bit differential RSRP value for the second beam are reported.

[0064] Note that when groupBasedBeamReporting is enabled, the UE includes RSRP#1 and differential RSRP#2 in the same CSI report.

[0065] CRI / SSBRI#k in FIG. 5 is a field indicating the CRI / SSBRI corresponding to RSRP#k or differential RSRP#k (included when reporting RSRP#k or differential RSRP#k).

[0066] In addition, in NRs from Rel. 16 onwards, nrofReportedRS may be a value equal to or greater than 4. A CSI report may include four or more sets of CRI / SSBRI and RSRP. The above m, n etc. are not limited to 7 and 4, respectively.

[0067] In addition, in NRs from Rel. 16 onwards, L1-SINR reporting may be performed. For the L1-SINR report, the RSRP in the above-mentioned L1-RSRP report may be replaced with SINR. In this case, the settings / parameters for SINR may be different from the settings / parameters for RSRP. For example, the above nrofReportedRS may be replaced with nrofReportedRSForSINR, which indicates the number of reference signal resources to be reported for SINR.

[0068] For L1-RSRP computation, the UE may be configured with a CSI-RS resource setting of up to 16 CSI-RS resource sets, with each resource set containing up to 64 resources. The total number of different CSI-RS resources across all resource sets may be up to 128.

[0069] For L1-SINR computation, in channel measurements, the UE may be configured with a CSI-RS resource setting of up to 16 CSI-RS resource sets, including a total of up to 64 CSI-RS resources or up to 64 SS / PBCH blocks.

[0070] For a UE configured with information about the CSI aperiodic trigger state list (higher layer parameter "CSI-AperiodicTriggerStateList"), if a resource setting linked to a CSI-ReportConfig has multiple aperiodic resource sets, only one of the aperiodic CSI-RS resources of the resource setting may be associated with a trigger state. In this case, the UE may be configured by a higher layer for each trigger state and for each resource setting to select one CSI-IM / NZP CSI-RS resource set from the resource setting.

[0071] The UE does not need to expect or assume that more than 64 NZP CSI-RS resources and / or SS / PBCH block resources are configured in the channel measurement resource setting of the CSI-ReportConfig in which the report quantity (higher layer parameter reportQuantity) is set to "none", "cri-RI-CQI", "cri-RSRP", "ssb-Index-RSRP", "cri-SINR", or "ssb-Index-SINR".

[0072] If a UE is configured with a CSI-ReportConfig in which the report quantity (higher layer parameter reportQuantity) is set to "cri-RSRP", "cri-SINR", or "none", and this CSI-ReportConfig is linked to a resource setting in which the higher layer parameter resourceType is set to "aperiodic", the UE may not assume that more than 16 CSI-RS resources are configured in the CSI-RS resource set included in this resource setting.

[0073] When a CSI-ReportConfig with the report quantity (higher layer parameter reportQuantity) set to "cri-RSRP", "cri-RI-PMI-CQI", "cri-RI-i1", "cri-RI-i1-CQI", "cri-RI-CQI", "cri-RI-LI-PMI-CQI", or "cri-SINR" is configured for a UE and two or more resources for channel measurement are configured in the corresponding resource set, the UE may derive CSI parameters other than the CRI based on the reported CRI. Here, CRI k (k≧0) may correspond to the configured k+1-th entry of the associated nzp-CSI-RS-Resources in the NZP-CSI-RS-ResourceSet for the corresponding channel measurement and the k+1-th entry of the associated csi-IM-Resource in the csi-IM-ResourceSet, or the k+1-th entry of the associated nzp-CSI-RS-Resources in the NZP-CSI-RS-ResourceSet for the corresponding interference measurement (when reportQuantity is set to "cri-SINR" in the CSI-ReportConfig). If two CSI-RS resources are configured, each resource may include up to 16 CSI-RS ports. If three to eight CSI-RS resources are configured, each resource may include up to eight CSI-RS ports.

[0074] If the UE is configured with a CSI-ReportConfig with the reporting quantity (higher layer parameter reportQuantity) set to "ssb-Index-RSRP", it may report an SSBRI, where SSBRI k (k≧0) may correspond to the k+1-th entry configured in the associated csi-SSB-ResourceList in the corresponding CSI-SSB-ResourceSet.

[0075] If the UE is configured with a CSI-ReportConfig with the report quantity (higher layer parameter reportQuantity) set to "ssb-Index-SINR", it may derive the L1-SINR conditioned on the reported SSBRI, where SSBRI k (k≧0) may correspond to the configured k+1-th entry of the associated csi-SSB-ResourceList in the corresponding CSI-SSB-ResourceSet for channel measurement and the k+1-th entry of the associated csi-IM-Resource in the csi-IM-ResourceSet, or the k+1-th entry of the associated nzp-CSI-RS-Resources in the corresponding NZP-CSI-RS-ResourceSet for interference measurement.

[0076] (Extended group-based beam reporting) For future wireless communication systems (e.g., Rel. 17 and later), beam management-related extensions (e.g., beam reports suitable for multiple TRPs, which may also be called extended group-based beam reporting) are being considered for user terminals (user terminals, User Equipment (UE)) with multiple panels (multi-panels), multiple transmission / reception points (multi-TRPs), etc.

[0077] The above-mentioned groupBasedBeamReporting can report two groups in one report, making it suitable for cases where multi-TRP transmission, multi-panel reception, etc. are applied. For example, it can be used to report the best beam for TRP1 as RSRP#1 and the best beam for TRP2 as differential RSRP#2.

[0078] As described above, in Rel. 15 and 16, a UE with group-based beam reporting enabled can only report two different CRIs / SSBRIs (which may be read as beam indices) for each reporting configuration. For this reason, for Rel. 17, studies are underway to increase the number of groups that can be reported by group-based beam reporting beyond two. Furthermore, for more flexible reporting, a configuration is also underway that allows reporting of two or more CRIs / SSBRIs within a group.

[0079] A group-based beam report using such a beam report (a beam report in which the number of groups for the report is greater than two or in which two or more CRIs / SSBRIs are reported within a group for the report) may be referred to as a multiple group-based beam, an extended group-based beam report, a Rel. 17 group-based beam report, etc. (hereinafter referred to as a multiple group-based beam report).

[0080] There are two possible modes for operating multiple group-based beam reporting: Mode 1: The UE can simultaneously receive multiple beams belonging to different groups; Mode 2: The UE can simultaneously receive multiple beams belonging to the same group.

[0081] Hereinafter, a situation in which multiple group-based beam reporting is used will be described using the environment of Fig. 6 as an example. Fig. 6 is a diagram showing an example of a beam usage environment assumed for multiple group-based beam reporting.

[0082] In Figure 6, the UE measures the resources of the reference signal (CSI-RS) transmitted from two TRPs (TRPs #1 and #2). The UE has two panels (Panels #1 and #2), each of which can form a different beam (B1-1, B1-2, B2-1, B2-2).

[0083] TRP #1 transmits CSI-RS using resources CRI #1-1 to CRI #1-4, each corresponding to a different beam. TRP #2 transmits CSI-RS using resources CRI #2-1 to CRI #2-4, each corresponding to a different beam. In the present disclosure, beams CRI #1-1 to CRI #1-4 may be interchangeably referred to as transmit beams #1-#4, respectively. In the present disclosure, beams CRI #2-1 to CRI #2-4 may be interchangeably referred to as transmit beams #5-#8, respectively.

[0084] In addition, each TRP and UE may transmit and receive by sweeping their respective beams (using different times / frequencies), or may transmit and receive using several beams simultaneously.

[0085] Note that Figure 6 is just an example, and for example, TRP #1 and #2 may be interpreted as two panels (panels #1 and #2) of a certain TRP.

[0086] The RSRP / SINR corresponding to CRI#1-1 to CRI#1-4 may be written as RSRP / SINR#1-1 to RSRP / SINR#1-4, respectively. The RSRP / SINR corresponding to CRI#2-1 to CRI#2-4 may be written as RSRP / SINR#2-1 to RSRP / SINR#2-4, respectively.

[0087] Furthermore, hereinafter, a resource corresponding to a certain CRI may be simply referred to as a certain CRI (for example, CRI#1-1 may mean CRI#1-1 or may mean a resource corresponding to CRI#1-1).

[0088] In the present disclosure, it is assumed that one resource configuration (which may be referred to as a reference signal (RS) configuration) corresponds to (is associated with) one TRP. The resource configuration corresponding to one TRP may correspond to at least one of CSI resource configuration information ("CSI-ResourceConfig"), a CSI-RS resource set list, an NZP CSI-RS resource set, and a CSI-SSB resource set.

[0089] For example, with respect to Figure 6, RRC configuration may be performed as follows: CSI reporting configuration #0 configured in the UE includes CSI resource configurations #0 and #1. CSI resource configuration #0 is associated with resource set #0 (CSI-RS resource set #0), and four CSI-RS resources corresponding to CRIs #1-1 to #1-4 are configured in resource set #0. CSI resource configuration #1 is associated with resource set #1 (CSI-RS resource set #1), and four CSI-RS resources corresponding to CRIs #2-1 to #2-4 are configured in resource set #1.

[0090] In addition, the contents of the present disclosure may also be applied when one resource setting corresponds to (is associated with) multiple TRPs.

[0091] Figure 7 shows an example of a CSI report for Mode 1 of multiple group-based beam reporting. In the example shown in Figure 7, the UE selects beams from two TRPs #1 measured using Panel #1 and selects beams from two TRPs #2 measured using Panel #2. Note that in this example, the UE assumes that Panel #1 is associated with Group #1 and Panel #2 is associated with Group #2.

[0092] Hereinafter, the numbers of elements in the CRI measurement results and CSI report configurations in the drawings of this disclosure are merely examples and are not limited to these numbers.

[0093] In this case, the UE determines CRI#1-1 and CRI#1-3 to be reported among the CRIs of CSI resource configuration #0 associated with TRP#1 for group #1 (panel #1). Also, the UE determines CRI#2-2 and CRI#2-3 to be reported among the CRIs of CSI resource configuration #1 associated with TRP#2 for group #2 (panel #2).

[0094] Figure 8 shows an example of a CSI report for Mode 2 of multiple group-based beam reporting. In the example of Figure 8, the UE selects, for each group, a beam from one TRP measured using Panel #1 and a beam from the other TRP measured using Panel #2.

[0095] In this case, for group #1, the UE selected CRI #1-1 as the report target from among the CRIs corresponding to TRP #1 in receiving panel #1, and CRI #2-2 as the report target from among TRP #2 different from TRP #1 in receiving panel #2. Also, for group #2, the UE selected CRI #2-3 as the report target from among the CRIs corresponding to TRP #2 in receiving panel #1, and CRI #1-2 as the report target from among TRP #1 different from TRP #2 in receiving panel #2.

[0096] Either Mode 1 or Mode 2 may be supported by the UE, or both may be supported.

[0097] (Analysis) Beam measurement / reporting may follow at least one of the following options 1 to 3. This beam measurement / reporting may be used for inter-TRP beam pairing, where option 1 corresponds to mode 1 and option 2 corresponds to mode 2. Each option may be referred to as a beam reporting option.

[0098] [Option 1] In CSI reporting, the UE may report N (N>1) pairs / groups and M (M>=1) beams per pair / group. Different beams in different pairs / groups may be received simultaneously.

[0099] [Option 2] In CSI reporting, the UE may report N (N>=1) pairs / groups and M (M>1) beams per pair / group. Different beams in one pair / group may be received simultaneously.

[0100] [Option 3] The UE may report M (M >= 1) beams in N (N > 1) CSI reports corresponding to N (N > 1) reporting settings. Different beams corresponding to different CSI reports may be received simultaneously.

[0101] In Rel. 17 and later, it is being considered whether feedback related to UE panels / antennas (receiving panels / antennas / filters) (e.g., including group-based beam reporting option 2) is supported in beam reporting option 2 for multi-TRP. In the supported cases, at least one of the following options 1 to 3 is being considered: Option 1: Whether multiple beams are associated with different receiving panels / filters. Option 2: Whether multiple beams are received for spatial multiplexing or spatial diversity. Option 3: The maximum number of layers supported per DL RS in one group.

[0102] In addition, for Rel. 17 and later, for beam reporting option 2 for multi-TRP, it is being considered whether or not assumptions related to UE panels / antennas (receiving panels / antennas) are to be instructed / configured by the network (NW, e.g., base station) for the beam reporting option 2 for multi-TRP. In the case where such assumptions are supported, options 1 to 3 described above are being considered.

[0103] More specifically, for beam reporting option 2, it is considered that at least one of the following options A to C is performed, or at least one of options A and B is performed: Option A: The base station (NW) configures / instructs the UE whether to report beams associated with the same receive spatial filter or beams associated with different receive spatial filters. Option B: The UE notifies / reports to the NW (base station) whether the reported beams (reported beams in a beam group) are associated with the same receive spatial filter or whether the reported beams (reported beams in a beam group) are associated with different receive spatial filters. Option C: The base station (NW) is notified of the number of supported layers (maximum number) per receive spatial filter by UE capability signaling.

[0104] However, the setting / reporting in group-based beam reporting in Rel. 17 and later has not yet been sufficiently studied. If these studies are not sufficient, appropriate communication between the TRP and the UE may not be possible, and communication throughput may decrease.

[0105] Therefore, the inventors came up with a method of setting and reporting in group-based beam reporting.

[0126] (Wireless Communication Method) In each embodiment, at least one of the above options 1, 2, and 3 may be referred to as a beam group type. For example, the beam group type may indicate at least one of whether multiple (two) beams in one beam group are associated with different receive spatial filters, whether multiple (two) beams in one beam group are received for spatial multiplexing or for spatial diversity, and the (maximum) number of layers supported per DL RS in one group. In each embodiment, the terms beam group type, type, scheme, mode, and setting may be interchangeable.

[0127] <First embodiment> The UE may be configured with a beam group type from a network / base station in a group-based beam report. The UE may report the beam group type in a group-based beam report (see FIG. 9).

[0128] The UE may receive the beam group type configuration using higher layer signaling (e.g., RRC signaling / MAC CE). The beam group type may be reported in a beam report.

[0129] After the UE is configured with a beam group type from the network / base station, it may perform beam measurements based on the configuration to determine (discover) a specific number of beam groups (e.g., N, where N is an integer greater than or equal to 1).

[0130] The determined beam group may be a beam group whose reception index (or measurement result, for example, L1-RSRP / L1-SINR) exceeds a certain threshold.

[0131] When the UE has determined (could determine) N beam groups, it may report the N beam groups using the same beam group type indication (information indicating the beam group type) / identifier as the beam group type set by the NW / base station. Note that determining N beam groups may mean that at least N beam groups whose reception indicators exceed a specific threshold have been found.

[0132] If the UE has not determined (e.g., cannot determine) the N beam groups, it may not report the N beam groups using the same beam group type indication / identifier as the beam group type set by the NW / base station. For example, if the UE has not determined (e.g., cannot determine) the N beam groups, it may measure / determine / discover beam groups of a beam group type different from the beam group type set by the NW / base station and report the N beam groups using an indication / identifier of the beam group type different from the set beam group type.

[0133] In this case, the N beam groups may belong to the same beam group type. In this case, the N beam groups may have the same beam group type.

[0134] In addition, the beam group type indication / identifier may indicate whether the beam group reported by the UE is the same as the beam group type set by the NW / base station.

[0135] For example, if the UE has not determined (e.g., could not determine) N beam groups, it may report an indication / identifier of a beam group type different from the configured beam group type and not report the beam measurement results corresponding to that report. For example, if the UE has not determined (e.g., could not determine) N beam groups, it may report only the beam groups that it has been able to determine and not report the beam measurement results for the number of beams less than N. This method makes it possible to implicitly indicate to the NW that N beam groups have not been determined.

[0136] For example, if the UE does not (e.g., cannot) determine N beam groups for the configured beam group type, but determines fewer than N (e.g., X) beam groups for the configured beam group type, the UE may measure / determine / discover N-X beam groups of a beam group type different from the configured beam group type. The UE may report the total N beam groups to the NW / base station using an indication / identifier of the beam group type for each beam group.

[0137] The NW / base station may configure multiple (e.g., two) different beam group types in the CSI reporting configuration and configure the same or different number of beam groups for each beam group type. The UE may be configured with multiple (e.g., two) different beam group types through the CSI reporting configuration and configure the same or different number of beam groups for each beam group type. This allows the UE to report the indication / identifier of the beam group type for each of multiple beam groups.

[0138] If the UE does not (could not) determine the beam / beam group, the UE may report a specific reception index value in a correspondence relationship (e.g., a table) defined in advance (in the specification) as the measurement result. The specific reception index value may be, for example, the lowest reception index value in the correspondence relationship.

[0139] According to the first embodiment described above, by having the network / base station set the beam group type for the UE, the network / base station that recognizes the traffic type / schedule information can set the beam group type within the beam group required by the UE, and the type of each beam group reported from the UE can be effectively used for scheduling. Furthermore, by having the UE report the beam group type to the network / base station, the network / base station can appropriately determine the receive spatial filter determined by the UE.

[0140] Second Embodiment A higher layer parameter (RRC IE) / UE capability corresponding to a function (feature) in at least one of the above embodiments may be defined. The UE capability may indicate that the function is supported.

[0141] A UE configured with higher layer parameters corresponding to the function (enabling the function) may perform the function. It may also be specified that "a UE not configured with higher layer parameters corresponding to the function shall not perform the function (for example, in accordance with Rel. 15 / 16)."

[0142] A UE that reports a UE capability indicating that it supports the function may perform the function. It may also be specified that a UE that does not report a UE capability indicating that it supports the function shall not perform the function (e.g., in accordance with Rel. 15 / 16).

[0143] If the UE reports a UE capability indicating that it supports the function and the corresponding higher layer parameters are configured, the UE may perform the function. It may also be specified that "if the UE does not report a UE capability indicating that it supports the function or if the corresponding higher layer parameters are not configured, the UE shall not perform the function (e.g., in accordance with Rel. 15 / 16)."

[0144] The UE capability may indicate whether the UE supports this feature.

[0145] The function may be the application of beam group types in group-based beam reporting.

[0146] The UE capability may be defined as whether or not the UE supports at least one of the configuration by the base station of the beam group type and the reporting by the UE. The configuration by the base station of the beam group type and the reporting by the UE may be performed for each reporting configuration and / or for each beam group in the CSI reporting configuration.

[0147] UE capability may be defined as whether or not the UE supports at least one of the base station configuration and UE reporting of indication of multiple beam group types in one CSI reporting configuration.

[0148] According to the second embodiment, the UE can achieve the above functions while maintaining compatibility with existing specifications.

[0149] (Wireless Communication System) The configuration of a wireless communication system according to an embodiment of the present disclosure will be described below. In this wireless communication system, communication is performed using any one of the wireless communication methods according to the above embodiments of the present disclosure or a combination thereof.

[0150] 10 is a diagram illustrating an example of a schematic configuration of a wireless communication system according to an embodiment. The wireless communication system 1 may be a system that realizes communication using Long Term Evolution (LTE) or 5th generation mobile communication system New Radio (5G NR) specified by the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP).

[0151] The wireless communication system 1 may also support dual connectivity between multiple Radio Access Technologies (RATs) (Multi-RAT Dual Connectivity (MR-DC)). MR-DC may include dual connectivity between LTE (Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access (E-UTRA)) and NR (E-UTRA-NR Dual Connectivity (EN-DC)), dual connectivity between NR and LTE (NR-E-UTRA Dual Connectivity (NE-DC)), etc.

[0152] In EN-DC, the LTE (E-UTRA) base station (eNB) is the master node (Master Node (MN)), and the NR base station (gNB) is the secondary node (Secondary Node (SN)). In NE-DC, the NR base station (gNB) is the MN, and the LTE (E-UTRA) base station (eNB) is the SN.

[0153] The wireless communication system 1 may support dual connectivity between multiple base stations within the same RAT (for example, dual connectivity in which both the MN and SN are NR base stations (gNBs) (NR-NR Dual Connectivity (NN-DC))).

[0154] The wireless communication system 1 may include a base station 11 that forms a macrocell C1 with a relatively wide coverage, and base stations 12 (12a-12c) that are located within the macrocell C1 and form small cells C2 that are smaller than the macrocell C1. A user terminal 20 may be located within at least one of the cells. The locations and numbers of the cells and user terminals 20 are not limited to the embodiment shown in the figure. Hereinafter, when there is no need to distinguish between the base stations 11 and 12, they will be collectively referred to as base station 10.

[0155] The user terminal 20 may be connected to at least one of the multiple base stations 10. The user terminal 20 may utilize at least one of carrier aggregation (CA) using multiple component carriers (CCs) and dual connectivity (DC).

[0156] Each CC may be included in at least one of a first frequency band (Frequency Range 1 (FR1)) and a second frequency band (Frequency Range 2 (FR2)). The macro cell C1 may be included in FR1, and the small cell C2 may be included in FR2. For example, FR1 may be a frequency band of 6 GHz or less (sub-6 GHz), and FR2 may be a frequency band higher than 24 GHz (above-24 GHz). Note that the frequency bands and definitions of FR1 and FR2 are not limited to these, and for example, FR1 may correspond to a higher frequency band than FR2.

[0157] Furthermore, the user terminal 20 may perform communication using at least one of time division duplex (TDD) and frequency division duplex (FDD) in each CC.

[0158] The multiple base stations 10 may be connected by wire (e.g., optical fiber compliant with the Common Public Radio Interface (CPRI), an X2 interface, etc.) or wirelessly (e.g., NR communication). For example, when NR communication is used as a backhaul between the base stations 11 and 12, the base station 11 corresponding to the upper station may be called an Integrated Access Backhaul (IAB) donor, and the base station 12 corresponding to the relay station (relay) may be called an IAB node.

[0159] The base station 10 may be connected to the core network 30 directly or via another base station 10. The core network 30 may include, for example, at least one of an Evolved Packet Core (EPC), a 5G Core Network (5GCN), a Next Generation Core (NGC), and the like.

[0160] The user terminal 20 may be a terminal that supports at least one of communication methods such as LTE, LTE-A, and 5G.

[0161] An Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM)-based radio access scheme may be used in the wireless communication system 1. For example, Cyclic Prefix OFDM (CP-OFDM), Discrete Fourier Transform Spread OFDM (DFT-s-OFDM), Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA), Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access (SC-FDMA), or the like may be used in at least one of the downlink (DL) and uplink (UL).

[0162] The radio access scheme may also be called a waveform. Note that in the wireless communication system 1, other radio access schemes (e.g., other single-carrier transmission schemes, other multi-carrier transmission schemes) may be used as the UL and DL radio access schemes.

[0163] In the wireless communication system 1, a downlink shared channel (Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH)) shared by each user terminal 20, a broadcast channel (Physical Broadcast Channel (PBCH)), a downlink control channel (Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH)), etc. may be used as the downlink channel.

[0164] Furthermore, in the wireless communication system 1, an uplink shared channel (Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH)) shared by each user terminal 20, an uplink control channel (Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH)), a random access channel (Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH)), or the like may be used as an uplink channel.

[0165] The PDSCH transmits user data, higher layer control information, a System Information Block (SIB), etc. The PUSCH may transmit user data, higher layer control information, etc. Furthermore, the PBCH may transmit a Master Information Block (MIB).

[0166] Lower layer control information may be transmitted by the PDCCH. The lower layer control information may include, for example, Downlink Control Information (DCI) including scheduling information for at least one of the PDSCH and the PUSCH.

[0167] Note that the DCI for scheduling the PDSCH may be referred to as a DL assignment, a DL DCI, etc., and the DCI for scheduling the PUSCH may be referred to as a UL grant, a UL DCI, etc. Note that the PDSCH may be replaced with DL data, and the PUSCH may be replaced with UL data.

[0168] A control resource set (CORESET) and a search space may be used to detect the PDCCH. The CORESET corresponds to resources for searching for DCI. The search space corresponds to a search region and a search method for PDCCH candidates. One CORESET may be associated with one or more search spaces. The UE may monitor the CORESET associated with a certain search space based on the search space configuration.

[0169] One search space may correspond to PDCCH candidates corresponding to one or more aggregation levels. One or more search spaces may be referred to as a search space set. Note that the terms "search space," "search space set," "search space configuration," "search space set configuration," "CORESET," "CORESET configuration," and the like in the present disclosure may be read interchangeably.

[0170] The PUCCH may transmit uplink control information (UCI) including at least one of channel state information (CSI), delivery confirmation information (which may be called, for example, Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest ACKnowledgement (HARQ-ACK), ACK / NACK, etc.), and scheduling request (SR). The PRACH may transmit a random access preamble for establishing a connection with a cell.

[0171] In the present disclosure, downlink, uplink, etc. may be expressed without adding "link." Also, various channels may be expressed without adding "Physical" to the beginning.

[0172] In the wireless communication system 1, a synchronization signal (SS), a downlink reference signal (DL-RS), etc. may be transmitted. In the wireless communication system 1, as the DL-RS, a cell-specific reference signal (CRS), a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS), a demodulation reference signal (DMRS), a positioning reference signal (PRS), a phase tracking reference signal (PTRS), etc. may be transmitted.

[0173] The synchronization signal may be, for example, at least one of a Primary Synchronization Signal (PSS) and a Secondary Synchronization Signal (SSS). A signal block including an SS (PSS, SSS) and a PBCH (and a DMRS for the PBCH) may be referred to as an SS / PBCH block, an SS Block (SSB), or the like. Note that the SS, SSB, and the like may also be referred to as a reference signal.

[0174] Furthermore, in the wireless communication system 1, a sounding reference signal (SRS), a demodulation reference signal (DMRS), or the like may be transmitted as an uplink reference signal (UL-RS). Note that the DMRS may also be called a user equipment-specific reference signal (UE-specific reference signal).

[0175] 11 is a diagram showing an example of the configuration of a base station according to an embodiment. The base station 10 includes a control unit 110, a transceiver unit 120, a transceiver antenna 130, and a transmission line interface 140. Note that the base station may include one or more of each of the control unit 110, the transceiver unit 120, the transceiver antenna 130, and the transmission line interface 140.

[0176] In this example, the functional blocks of the characteristic parts of the present embodiment are mainly shown, and it may be assumed that the base station 10 also has other functional blocks necessary for wireless communication. Some of the processing of each unit described below may be omitted.

[0177] The control unit 110 performs overall control of the base station 10. The control unit 110 can be configured from a controller, a control circuit, and the like that are explained based on common understanding in the technical field to which the present disclosure relates.

[0178] The control unit 110 may control signal generation, scheduling (e.g., resource allocation, mapping), etc. The control unit 110 may control transmission and reception using the transceiver unit 120, the transceiver antenna 130, and the transmission path interface 140, measurement, etc. The control unit 110 may generate data, control information, sequences, etc. to be transmitted as signals, and transfer them to the transceiver unit 120. The control unit 110 may perform call processing (setting up, releasing, etc.) of communication channels, status management of the base station 10, management of radio resources, etc.

[0179] The transceiver unit 120 may include a baseband unit 121, a radio frequency (RF) unit 122, and a measurement unit 123. The baseband unit 121 may include a transmission processing unit 1211 and a reception processing unit 1212. [0201] The transceiver unit 220 may form at least one of the transmit beam and the receive beam using digital beamforming (e.g., precoding), analog beamforming (e.g., phase rotation), or the like.

[0202] The transceiver unit 220 (transmission processing unit 2211) may perform PDCP layer processing, RLC layer processing (e.g., RLC retransmission control), MAC layer processing (e.g., HARQ retransmission control), etc. on data, control information, etc. obtained from the control unit 210, and generate a bit string to be transmitted.

[0204] Whether or not to apply DFT processing may be based on the setting of transform precoding. When transform precoding is enabled for a certain channel (e.g., PUSCH), the transceiver unit 220 (transmission processing unit 2211) may perform DFT processing as the transmission processing to transmit the channel using a DFT-s-OFDM waveform, and if not, it may not be necessary to perform DFT processing as the transmission processing.

[0209] The transmitting unit and receiving unit of the user terminal 20 in the present disclosure may be configured by at least one of the transmitting / receiving unit 220 and the transmitting / receiving antenna 230.

[0210] The transceiver 220 may receive a beam group type configuration indicating at least one of whether multiple beams in a beam group are associated with different spatial domain receive filters, whether the multiple beams are used for spatial multiplexing or spatial diversity, and the maximum number of layers per downlink reference signal in the beam group. The controller 210 may control the performance of beam measurements and the reporting of the beam group type based on the configuration.

[0211] If the beam measurement cannot determine a specific number (e.g., N) of beam groups based on the settings, the control unit 210 may determine the specific number of beam groups of a beam group type different from the settings and control the reporting of the determined beam groups.

[0212] If the beam measurement cannot determine a specific number (e.g., N) of beam groups based on the settings, and determines a first number (e.g., X) of beam groups that is smaller than the number based on the settings, the control unit 210 may determine the first number of beam groups of a beam group type based on the settings and control reporting of the determined beam groups.

That is, each functional block may be realized using a single device that is physically or logically coupled, or may be realized using two or more physically or logically separated devices that are directly or indirectly connected (for example, using wires, wirelessly, etc.) and these multiple devices. The functional block may be realized by combining software with the single device or the multiple devices.

[0217] In the present disclosure, the terms apparatus, circuit, device, section, unit, etc. may be used interchangeably. The hardware configurations of the base station 10 and the user terminal 20 may be configured to include one or more of the devices shown in the drawings, or may be configured to exclude some of the devices.

[0218] For example, although only one processor 1001 is shown, there may be multiple processors. Furthermore, processor 1001 may be implemented by one or more chips.

[0219] Each function in the base station 10 and the user terminal 20 is realized, for example, by loading specified software (programs) onto hardware such as a processor 1001 and a memory 1002, causing the processor 1001 to perform calculations, control communication via the communication device 1004, and control at least one of reading and writing data in the memory 1002 and the storage 1003.

[0220] The processor 1001, for example, runs an operating system to control the entire computer. The processor 1001 may be configured as a central processing unit (CPU) including an interface with peripheral devices, a control device, an arithmetic unit, a register, etc. For example, at least a part of the above-mentioned control unit 110 (210), transceiver unit 120 (220), etc. may be realized by the processor 1001.

[0221] The processor 1001 also reads programs (program codes), software modules, data, etc. from at least one of the storage 1003 and the communication device 1004 into the memory 1002 and executes various processes in accordance with these. The programs used are those that cause a computer to execute at least some of the operations described in the above-described embodiments. For example, the control unit 110 (210) may be implemented by a control program stored in the memory 1002 and running on the processor 1001, and the other functional blocks may be implemented in a similar manner.

[0222] The memory 1002 is a computer-readable recording medium and may be configured by at least one of, for example, Read Only Memory (ROM), Erasable Programmable ROM (EPROM), Electrically EEPROM (EEPROM), Random Access Memory (RAM), or other suitable storage medium. The memory 1002 may also be referred to as a register, cache, main memory, etc. The memory 1002 may store executable programs (program codes), software modules, etc. for implementing a wireless communication method according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0223] Storage 1003 is a computer-readable recording medium and may be composed of at least one of, for example, a flexible disk, a floppy disk, a magneto-optical disk (e.g., a compact disc (e.g., a Compact Disc ROM (CD-ROM)), a digital versatile disc, a Blu-ray disc), a removable disk, a hard disk drive, a smart card, a flash memory device (e.g., a card, a stick, a key drive), a magnetic stripe, a database, a server, or other suitable storage medium. Storage 1003 may also be referred to as an auxiliary storage device.

[0224] The communication device 1004 is hardware (transmission / reception device) for communicating between computers via at least one of a wired network and a wireless network, and is also referred to as, for example, a network device, a network controller, a network card, or a communication module. The communication device 1004 may be configured to include a high-frequency switch, a duplexer, a filter, a frequency synthesizer, etc. to realize at least one of frequency division duplex (FDD) and time division duplex (TDD). For example, the above-mentioned transmission / reception unit 120 (220), transmission / reception antenna 130 (230), etc. may be realized by the communication device 1004. The transmission / reception unit 120 (220) may be implemented as a transmission unit 120a (220a) and a reception unit 120b (220b) that are physically or logically separated.

[0225] The input device 1005 is an input device (e.g., a keyboard, a mouse, a microphone, a switch, a button, a sensor, etc.) that accepts input from the outside. The output device 1006 is an output device (e.g., a display, a speaker, a light emitting diode (LED) lamp, etc.) that outputs to the outside. Note that the input device 1005 and the output device 1006 may be integrated into one device (e.g., a touch panel).

[0226] Furthermore, each device, such as the processor 1001 and the memory 1002, is connected by a bus 1007 for communicating information. The bus 1007 may be configured using a single bus, or may be configured using different buses between each device.

[0227] Furthermore, the base station 10 and the user terminal 20 may be configured to include hardware such as a microprocessor, a digital signal processor (DSP), an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC), a programmable logic device (PLD), or a field programmable gate array (FPGA), and some or all of the functional blocks may be realized using this hardware. For example, the processor 1001 may be implemented using at least one of these pieces of hardware.

[0228] (Modifications) Note that terms described in the present disclosure and terms necessary for understanding the present disclosure may be replaced with terms having the same or similar meanings. For example, a channel, a symbol, and a signal (signal or signaling) may be interchangeable. A signal may also be a message. A reference signal may be abbreviated as RS, and may also be called a pilot, pilot signal, etc. depending on the applicable standard. A component carrier (CC) may also be called a cell, frequency carrier, carrier frequency, etc.

[0229] A radio frame may be composed of one or more periods (frames) in the time domain. Each of the one or more periods (frames) constituting a radio frame may be called a subframe. Furthermore, a subframe may be composed of one or more slots in the time domain. A subframe may have a fixed time length (e.g., 1 ms) that is independent of numerology.

[0230] Here, the numerology may be a communication parameter applied to at least one of transmission and reception of a signal or channel, and may indicate at least one of, for example, Subcarrier Spacing (SCS), bandwidth, symbol length, cyclic prefix length, Transmission Time Interval (TTI), number of symbols per TTI, radio frame structure, specific filtering performed by a transceiver in the frequency domain, and specific windowing performed by a transceiver in the time domain.

[0231] A slot may be composed of one or more symbols (such as an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbol or a Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access (SC-FDMA) symbol) in the time domain. A slot may also be a time unit based on numerology.

[0232] A slot may include multiple minislots. Each minislot may consist of one or multiple symbols in the time domain. A minislot may also be called a subslot. A minislot may consist of fewer symbols than a slot. A PDSCH (or PUSCH) transmitted in a time unit larger than a minislot may be called PDSCH (PUSCH) mapping type A. A PDSCH (or PUSCH) transmitted using a minislot may be called PDSCH (PUSCH) mapping type B.

[0233] A radio frame, a subframe, a slot, a minislot, and a symbol all represent time units for transmitting signals. The radio frame, the subframe, the slot, the minislot, and the symbol may be referred to by other names corresponding to the radio frame, the subframe, the slot, the minislot, and the symbol. Note that the time units such as a frame, a subframe, a slot, a minislot, and a symbol in the present disclosure may be interchangeable.

[0234] For example, one subframe may be referred to as a TTI, or multiple consecutive subframes may be referred to as a TTI, or one slot or one minislot may be referred to as a TTI. That is, at least one of the subframe and the TTI may be a subframe (1 ms) in existing LTE, a period shorter than 1 ms (for example, 1-13 symbols), or a period longer than 1 ms. Note that the unit representing the TTI may be called a slot, minislot, etc. instead of a subframe.

[0235] Here, TTI refers to, for example, the smallest time unit for scheduling in wireless communication. For example, in an LTE system, a base station performs scheduling to allocate radio resources (such as frequency bandwidth and transmission power that can be used by each user terminal) to each user terminal in TTI units. Note that the definition of TTI is not limited to this.

[0236] The TTI may be a transmission time unit for a channel-encoded data packet (transport block), a code block, a code word, etc., or may be a processing unit for scheduling, link adaptation, etc. When a TTI is given, the time interval (e.g., the number of symbols) to which a transport block, a code block, a code word, etc. is actually mapped may be shorter than the TTI.

[0237] When one slot or one minislot is called a TTI, one or more TTIs (i.e., one or more slots or one or more minislots) may be the minimum time unit for scheduling. Also, the number of slots (minislots) constituting the minimum time unit for scheduling may be controlled.

[0238] A TTI having a time length of 1 ms may be called a regular TTI (TTI in 3GPP Rel. 8-12), normal TTI, long TTI, regular subframe, normal subframe, long subframe, slot, etc. A TTI shorter than a regular TTI may be called a shortened TTI, short TTI, partial or fractional TTI, shortened subframe, short subframe, minislot, subslot, slot, etc.

[0239] In addition, a long TTI (e.g., a normal TTI, a subframe, etc.) may be interpreted as a TTI having a time length of more than 1 ms, and a short TTI (e.g., a shortened TTI, etc.) may be interpreted as a TTI having a TTI length shorter than the TTI length of a long TTI and greater than or equal to 1 ms.

[0240] A resource block (RB) is a resource allocation unit in the time domain and the frequency domain, and may include one or more consecutive subcarriers in the frequency domain. The number of subcarriers included in an RB may be the same regardless of numerology, for example, 12. The number of subcarriers included in an RB may be determined based on numerology.

[0241] In addition, an RB may include one or more symbols in the time domain and may have a length of one slot, one minislot, one subframe, or one TTI, each of which may be composed of one or more resource blocks.

[0242] In addition, one or more RBs may be referred to as a physical resource block (PRB), a sub-carrier group (SCG), a resource element group (REG), a PRB pair, an RB pair, etc.

[0243] Furthermore, a resource block may be composed of one or more resource elements (REs). For example, one RE may be a radio resource region of one subcarrier and one symbol.

[0244] A Bandwidth Part (BWP), which may also be referred to as a partial bandwidth, may represent a subset of contiguous common resource blocks (RBs) for a given numerology on a given carrier, where the common RBs may be identified by their index relative to a Common Reference Point of the carrier. PRBs may be defined in a BWP and numbered within the BWP.

[0245] The BWP may include a UL BWP (BWP for UL) and a DL BWP (BWP for DL). One or more BWPs may be configured for a UE within one carrier.

[0246] At least one of the configured BWPs may be active, and the UE may not expect to transmit or receive a given signal / channel outside the active BWP. Note that the terms "cell," "carrier," etc. in this disclosure may be read as "BWP."

[0247] The above-described structures of radio frames, subframes, slots, minislots, symbols, etc. are merely examples. For example, the number of subframes included in a radio frame, the number of slots per subframe or radio frame, the number of minislots included in a slot, the number of symbols and RBs included in a slot or minislot, the number of subcarriers included in an RB, the number of symbols in a TTI, the symbol length, the cyclic prefix (CP) length, etc. may be changed in various ways.

[0248] Furthermore, the information, parameters, etc. described in the present disclosure may be expressed using absolute values, may be expressed using relative values from a predetermined value, or may be expressed using other corresponding information. For example, a radio resource may be indicated by a predetermined index.

[0249] The names used for parameters and the like in this disclosure are not intended to be limiting in any way. Furthermore, the mathematical expressions and the like using these parameters may differ from those explicitly disclosed in this disclosure. The various channels (PUCCH, PDCCH, etc.) and information elements may be identified by any suitable names, and therefore the various names assigned to these various channels and information elements are not intended to be limiting in any way.

[0250] The information, signals, etc. described in this disclosure may be represented using any of a variety of different technologies. For example, data, instructions, commands, information, signals, bits, symbols, chips, etc. that may be referred to throughout the above description may be represented by voltages, currents, electromagnetic waves, magnetic fields or magnetic particles, optical fields or photons, or any combination thereof.

[0251] Furthermore, information, signals, etc. may be output from a higher layer to a lower layer and / or from a lower layer to a higher layer. Information, signals, etc. may be input / output via multiple network nodes.

[0252] Input and output information, signals, etc. may be stored in a specific location (for example, memory) or may be managed using a management table. Input and output information, signals, etc. may be overwritten, updated, or added. Output information, signals, etc. may be deleted. Input information, signals, etc. may be transmitted to another device.

[0253] The notification of information is not limited to the aspects / embodiments described in the present disclosure, and may be performed using other methods. For example, the notification of information in the present disclosure may be performed by physical layer signaling (e.g., Downlink Control Information (DCI) and Uplink Control Information (UCI)), higher layer signaling (e.g., Radio Resource Control (RRC) signaling, broadcast information (Master Information Block (MIB) and System Information Block (SIB)), Medium Access Control (MAC) signaling), other signals, or a combination thereof.

Furthermore, the MAC signaling may be notified using, for example, a MAC Control Element (CE).

[0255] Furthermore, notification of specified information (e.g., notification that "it is X") is not limited to explicit notification, but may be made implicitly (e.g., by not notifying the specified information or by notifying other information).

[0256] The determination may be made by a value represented by one bit (0 or 1), by a Boolean value represented by true or false, or by a comparison of numerical values (e.g., comparison with a predetermined value).

[0257] Software shall be construed broadly to mean instructions, instruction sets, code, code segments, program code, programs, subprograms, software modules, applications, software applications, software packages, routines, subroutines, objects, executable files, threads of execution, procedures, functions, etc., whether referred to as software, firmware, middleware, microcode, hardware description language, or otherwise.

[0258] Software, instructions, information, etc. may also be transmitted or received over a transmission medium. For example, if software is transmitted from a website, server, or other remote source using wired technologies (such as coaxial cable, fiber optic cable, twisted pair, Digital Subscriber Line (DSL)), and / or wireless technologies (such as infrared, microwave), these wired and / or wireless technologies are included within the definition of transmission media.
