Description

Liquid skin cleanser composition

[0001] The present invention relates to a liquid skin cleanser composition.

[0002] In recent years, heightened awareness of hygiene due to the spread of novel coronavirus infections has led to an increase in the frequency of daily hand washing, and various liquid skin cleanser compositions have been proposed. There is a demand for such liquid skin cleanser compositions that not only have good foam performance such as foam retention, but also provide a good cleansing sensation when washing hands.

[0003] In order to provide a liquid cleanser composition with good foam quality and low skin irritation, for example, a liquid cleanser composition containing a fatty acid salt, an amphoteric surfactant or semi-polar surfactant, and a compound with an acid dissociation index of 8.0 to 11.0 has been proposed (see, for example, Patent Document 1). Also, in order to provide a liquid skin cleanser composition with good foam performance and a good skin feel during and after cleansing, a liquid cleanser composition containing an anionic surfactant, at least one cationic polymer selected from a dimethyldiallylammonium chloride polymer and a dimethyldiallylammonium chloride-acrylic acid copolymer, and a copolymer containing methacryloylethyldimethylbetaine and methacryloylethyltrimethylammonium chloride as structural units has been proposed (see, for example, Patent Document 2). However, none of the above proposals were satisfactory in terms of foam performance (particularly, foam density) and cleaning feel, and there was room for improvement.

[0004] Therefore, there is a need for a liquid skin cleanser composition that has good foaming performance (foam density) and provides an excellent cleansing sensation.

[0086] The liquid skin cleanser composition has good foaming performance (foam density) and excellent cleansing sensation, and can be used, for example, in body shampoos, body soaps, facial cleansing foams, hand soaps, foaming hand soaps, cleansing foams, makeup removers, and the like, and is particularly suitable for use in body soaps.

[0087] The present invention will be specifically described below with reference to examples and comparative examples, but the present invention is not limited to these examples. The content of each component described in the examples and comparative examples is shown in "% by mass", the total amount is 100% by mass, and all values are converted into pure contents.

[0088] Examples 1 to 23 and Comparative Examples 1 to 4 Liquid skin cleanser compositions having the compositions and contents shown in Examples 1 to 23 and Comparative Examples 1 to 4 were prepared according to the following method. Specifically, using other ingredients such as purified water and propylene glycol, a mixture was prepared in an amount that would account for 60% by mass of the total amount of the final liquid skin cleanser composition. The mixture of other ingredients was heated to 70°C to 80°C, and then (A) anionic surfactant, (B) phosphate, (C) bactericide, (D) monoethanolamine, and other ingredient potassium hydroxide were dissolved therein. The mixture was then cooled to 40°C or below, and (E) fragrance and (F) dimethyldiallylammonium chloride-acrylamide copolymer liquid were added and dissolved therein. Thereafter, if the predetermined pH was not reached, potassium hydroxide, a common ingredient, was added to adjust the pH to 10, and purified water was added so that the total amount became 100% by mass, thereby obtaining the liquid skin cleanser compositions of the Examples and Comparative Examples. The components were mixed using a propeller as a stirring blade and a Three-One Motor (HEIDON BL1200, manufactured by Shinto Chemical Co., Ltd.). The pH was measured at 25°C using a pH meter (HM-30R, manufactured by TOA DKK Corporation). The viscosity of the obtained liquid skin cleanser composition was measured at 25°C using a BM-type viscometer (manufactured by Tokyo Keiki Co., Ltd.) with a spindle No. 1 rotor at 25°C and a rotation speed of 60 rpm for 1 minute after being kept at a constant temperature of 25°C. The obtained liquid skin cleanser compositions of Examples 1 to 23 and Comparative Examples 1 to 4 were filled into a container equipped with a foamer pump dispenser (discharge volume 1 mL, manufactured by Yoshino Kogyosho Co., Ltd.).

[0089] Each liquid skin cleanser composition was evaluated and judged for "cleaning sensation," "foam density," "lack of lingering fragrance after cleansing," and "retention of disinfectant" as follows. The results are shown in Tables 1 to 6 below.

[0090] <Cleaning Experience> Ten expert evaluators took two pumps (approximately 2 g) of each liquid skin cleanser composition into their hands, lathered it, and then rinsed it twice per second, and evaluated the cleaning experience based on the following evaluation criteria. [0092] <Method for evaluating lack of fragrance after cleansing> After evaluating the cleaning sensation of each liquid skin cleanser composition as described above, the same panelist immediately smelled the fragrance remaining on their hands and evaluated the fragrance remaining on the hands according to the following evaluation criteria. The results were calculated by calculating the average score of 10 panelists and judging based on the following evaluation criteria for the average score. A score of "△" or higher was considered to be acceptable. -Evaluation criteria- 5 points: No fragrance remains on the hands at all 4 points: Almost no fragrance remains on the hands 3 points: The fragrance remains on the hands 2 points: The fragrance remains strongly on the hands 1 point: The fragrance remains very strongly on the hands -Evaluation criteria- ◎: 4.0 points or more 〇: 3.0 points or more but less than 4.0 points △: 2.0 points or more but less than 3.0 points ×: Less than 2.0 points

[0093] <Retention of disinfectant component after washing> Approximately 100 μL of each liquid skin cleanser composition was applied to model skin (VITRO-SKIN, 5×5), which was then immersed in 20 mL of water for 5 seconds and allowed to air dry for 1 to 2 hours. Methanol was added to the model skin and ultrasonically treated to obtain a solution, which was then filtered through a 0.45 μm filter and the disinfectant content was measured by liquid chromatography. The disinfectant retention rate (%) was calculated, assuming the disinfectant content in the liquid skin cleanser composition to be 100, and evaluated based on the following evaluation criteria. - Evaluation criteria - ◎: Retention rate of 30% or more ○: Retention rate of 20% or more but less than 30% △: Retention rate of 10% or more but less than 20% ×: Retention rate less than 10%
