[0034] (19) A sixth aspect of the present invention is a program that causes a computer provided in an information device to execute a request signal transmission step of transmitting a request signal to a medical device that holds medical information, and an information acquisition step of acquiring the medical information transmitted from the medical device based on reception of the request signal by the medical device.
[0035] According to the present invention, it is possible to obtain a better medical device system, a medical information acquisition method, a medical device, an information device, and a program.
[0036] Fig. 1 is a block diagram showing a medical device system according to an embodiment of the present invention, Fig. 2 is a diagram illustrating the configuration of a drug solution administration device, and Fig. 3 is a flowchart showing an example of a medical information acquisition method.
[0037] A medical device system, a medical information acquisition method, a medical device, an information device, and a program according to the present invention will be described with reference to Figures 1 to 3. Figure 1 is a block diagram showing a medical device system 10 according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0038] As shown in Fig. 1, a medical device system 10 according to this embodiment includes a medical device 12 and an information device 14. The medical device system 10 is a system in which the information device 14 acquires medical information (medical data) held by the medical device 12. Specifically, the information device 14 wirelessly transmits a request signal to the medical device 12. The medical device 12 wirelessly transmits medical information to the information device 14 based on reception of the request signal. The information device 14 acquires the medical information transmitted by the medical device 12.
[0039] The medical device system 10 may include one or more medical devices 12 and one or more information devices 14. For example, when the medical device system 10 is used in a hospital or the like, the medical device system 10 may be equipped with multiple medical devices 12. In this case, for example, a single information device 14 may individually manage medical information for the multiple medical devices 12. The medical device system 10 may also include multiple types of medical devices 12 (e.g., drug solution administration devices 16, blood pressure monitors, thermometers, etc.). In this case, for example, a single information device 14 may manage medical information related to multiple types of medical devices 12 for multiple patients.
[0040] As shown in FIG. 2 , the medical device 12 is a device that can be attached to and detached from the living body 200. In other words, the medical device 12 is used while in contact with the skin (body surface 202) of the living body 200. The medical device 12 can acquire medical information while attached to the living body 200. In this embodiment, a medicinal solution administration device 16 for administering a medicinal solution to the living body 200 is exemplified as the medical device 12. The medical device 12 is not limited to the medicinal solution administration device 16, and may be a blood pressure monitor, a thermometer, a blood glucose meter, a pulse oximeter, or the like. In this case, the medical information includes, for example, blood pressure, body temperature, blood glucose level, pulse rate, oxygen saturation, or the like.
[0041] The drug solution administration device 16 is a patch-type device that is attached to the body surface 202. The drug solution administration device 16 continuously administers the drug solution into the living body 200 over a relatively long period of time (for example, several minutes to several hours). The drug solution administration device 16 may also administer the drug solution intermittently into the living body 200. Examples of the drug solution include protein preparations such as insulin preparations. Examples of the drug include narcotic analgesics, diuretics, etc.
[0042] The medicinal solution administration device 16 includes a device main body 18 and an adhesive member 20. The device main body 18 has a housing 22, a prefilled syringe 24, and a puncturing unit 26. The housing 22 contains various components including the prefilled syringe 24. The prefilled syringe 24 is pre-filled with medicinal solution. The puncturing unit 26 has a puncturing operation section 28 for operating a puncturing needle (not shown). When a user presses the puncturing operation section 28, the puncturing needle protrudes from the housing 22. The adhesive member 20 is fixed to the housing 22. The adhesive member 20 has an adhesive surface that can be attached to a body surface 202.
[0043] In such a medicinal solution administration device 16, with the adhesive member 20 attached to the body surface 202, a user (e.g., a patient) presses the puncture operation unit 28, causing the puncture needle to puncture the living body 200. Thereafter, administration of the medicinal solution from the pre-filled syringe 24 to the living body 200 begins. When administration of the medicinal solution is completed, the user detaches the medicinal solution administration device 16 from the body surface 202.
[0044] 1, the medicinal solution administration device 16 further includes a detachment detector 30, a signal receiver 32, an information transmitter 34, a calculation unit 36, and a storage unit 38. The medicinal solution administration device 16 may include other components in addition to these components, but these will not be described here. A program for causing a computer to execute the medical information acquisition method according to this embodiment may be installed in the storage unit 38.
[0045] The detachment detector 30 detects that the medical solution administration device 16 has been detached from the living body 200. The detachment detector 30 may include, for example, at least one of a temperature sensor, an illuminance sensor, a pressure sensor, a capacitance sensor, and a mechanical switch.
[0046] The temperature sensor can detect a change in temperature before and after the chemical solution administration device 16 is removed from the living body 200. The illuminance sensor can detect a change in illuminance (change in the amount of light) before and after the chemical solution administration device 16 is removed from the living body 200.
[0047] For example, the light-receiving element of the illuminance sensor may be arranged so as to face a direction different from the body surface 202 when the medicinal solution administration device 16 is attached to the living body 200 (the state in which the medicinal solution administration device 16 is attached). In this case, the light-receiving element of the illuminance sensor is covered by clothing when the medicinal solution administration device 16 is attached. On the other hand, the light-receiving element of the illuminance sensor is exposed from the clothing when the medicinal solution administration device 16 is detached from the living body 200 (the state in which the medicinal solution administration device 16 is detached). Therefore, the illuminance measured by the illuminance sensor when the medicinal solution administration device 16 is detached is greater than the illuminance measured by the illuminance sensor when the medicinal solution administration device 16 is attached.
[0048] The light-receiving element of the illuminance sensor may be disposed so as to face the body surface 202 when the medicinal solution administration device 16 is attached. In this case, the light-receiving element of the illuminance sensor is covered by the body surface 202 when the medicinal solution administration device 16 is attached. On the other hand, the light-receiving element of the illuminance sensor is exposed to the outside when the medicinal solution administration device 16 is detached. Therefore, the illuminance measured by the illuminance sensor when the medicinal solution administration device 16 is detached is greater than the illuminance measured by the illuminance sensor when the medicinal solution administration device 16 is attached.
[0049] The pressure sensor can detect a change in pressure acting on the device main body 18 or the adhesive member 20 before and after the drug solution administration device 16 is detached from the body surface 202. The capacitance sensor can detect a change in capacitance before and after the drug solution administration device 16 is detached from the body surface 202. The mechanical switch, for example, has a mechanism that operates when the drug solution administration device 16 is detached from the living body 200, and can detect that the drug solution administration device 16 has been detached from the living body 200 by detecting the operation of the mechanism.
[0050] The signal receiver 32 can receive a request signal transmitted from the information device 14. The information transmitter 34 can transmit predetermined information (identification information and medical information).
[0051] The calculation unit 36 is configured with a processor such as a CPU (Central Processing Unit) or a GPU (Graphics Processing Unit). That is, the calculation unit 36 is configured with processing circuitry. The calculation unit 36 has an acquisition unit 40, a medicinal solution administration determination unit 42, a request signal reception unit 44, an information transmission unit 46, and a notification unit 48. The acquisition unit 40, the medicinal solution administration determination unit 42, the request signal reception unit 44, the information transmission unit 46, and the notification unit 48 can be realized by the calculation unit 36 executing a program stored in the storage unit 38.
[0052] At least a portion of the acquisition unit 40, the medicinal solution administration determination unit 42, the request signal reception unit 44, the information transmission unit 46, and the notification unit 48 may be realized by an integrated circuit such as an ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) or an FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array).Furthermore, at least a portion of the acquisition unit 40, the medicinal solution administration determination unit 42, the request signal reception unit 44, the information transmission unit 46, and the notification unit 48 may be configured by an electronic circuit including a discrete device.
[0053] The storage unit 38 is composed of a volatile memory (not shown) and a non-volatile memory (not shown). Examples of the volatile memory include RAM (Random Access Memory). The volatile memory is used as a working memory for the processor and temporarily stores data necessary for processing or calculation. Examples of the non-volatile memory include ROM (Read Only Memory) and flash memory. The non-volatile memory is used as a storage memory and stores programs, tables, maps, etc. At least a portion of the storage unit 38 may be provided in the processor, integrated circuit, etc. described above.
[0054] The storage unit 38 pre-stores identification information of the medicinal liquid administration device 16. The identification information is, for example, a unique serial number assigned to the medicinal liquid administration device 16.
[0055] The acquisition unit 40 can acquire information (medical information) related to the administration of medicinal liquid by the medicinal liquid administration device 16. The medical information can include, for example, information such as the date and time the medicinal liquid administration was performed, the type of medicinal liquid, the amount of medicinal liquid administered, and whether or not an error occurred during the medicinal liquid administration. The medical information acquired by the acquisition unit 40 is stored in the storage unit 38. The medicinal liquid administration determination unit 42 determines whether the administration of the medicinal liquid has been completed or is incomplete. Here, incomplete medicinal liquid administration means that an abnormality in the administration of the medicinal liquid has occurred. An example of an abnormality in the administration of the medicinal liquid is an abnormality in which the administration of the medicinal liquid is not performed normally due to blockage of the puncture needle.
[0056] The request signal receiving unit 44 receives a request signal based on the signal received by the signal receiver 32. The information transmitting unit 46 transmits predetermined information (identification information and medical information) via the information transmitter 34 based on the reception by the request signal receiving unit 44. The information transmitting unit 46 can transmit the predetermined information based on the determination by the medicinal solution administration determining unit 42 that the administration of the medicinal solution has been completed or is incomplete. In other words, when the medicinal solution administration determining unit 42 determines that the administration of the medicinal solution has been completed or is incomplete, the information transmitting unit 46 is permitted to transmit information indicating that the administration of the medicinal solution has been completed or is incomplete. The information transmitting unit 46 can transmit information continuously for a predetermined period of time, for example. Note that the information transmitting unit 46 can also transmit information other than the identification information and medical information.
[0057] When the medicinal solution administration determination unit 42 determines that medicinal solution administration is completed or incomplete, the notification unit 48 notifies the user of medicinal solution administration information that notifies the user that medicinal solution administration is completed or incomplete. The notification unit 48 also notifies the user of notification information that notifies the user that the information transmission unit 46 is transmitting medical information. The notification unit 48, for example, emits a sound from a speaker or buzzer (not shown). The notification unit 48 may, for example, light or flash an indicator light (not shown) provided in the medicinal solution administration device 16. The notification unit 48 may, for example, display predetermined characters, symbols, figures, etc. on a display unit (not shown) provided in the medicinal solution administration device 16. The notification unit 48 may, for example, vibrate the medicinal solution administration device 16. The notification unit 48 may also execute a combination of two or more of the above notification methods. Furthermore, the notification mode may distinguish between completion and incompletion (abnormal) of medicinal solution administration. That is, for example, the notification mode of whether the administration of the medicinal liquid is complete or incomplete may be distinguished by changing the pitch of the sound, the color of the indicator light, the flashing speed of the indicator light, the vibration rhythm, etc. This allows the user to recognize whether the administration of the medicinal liquid has been carried out normally.
[0058] The notification unit 48 stops notifying the notification information upon completion of the information transmission by the information transmission unit 46. For example, the notification unit 48 may start notifying the notification information simultaneously with the start of transmission of medical information by the information transmission unit 46, and stop notifying the notification information simultaneously with the stop of information transmission by the information transmission unit 46. Note that the notification unit 48 may stop notifying the notification information after a predetermined time has elapsed since the information transmission by the information transmission unit 46 stopped transmitting the information. The notification time by the notification unit 48 may be longer or shorter than the information transmission time by the information transmission unit 46.
[0059] Examples of the information device 14 include, but are not limited to, a smartphone, a tablet, etc. The information device 14 can acquire medical information from the medicinal solution administration device 16. The information device 14 can manage the medical information acquired from the medicinal solution administration device 16.
[0060] The information device 14 may communicate with the server device 50 via a network 52 such as the Internet. The information device 14 may transmit medical information to the server device 50. The server device 50 may manage the medical information. The server device 50 may communicate with a terminal device (computer) (not shown) provided in a hospital or the like via the network 52, for example. Medical staff at the hospital or the like may use the terminal device to check the medical information of the user (patient) stored in the server device 50.
[0061] The information device 14 includes a signal transmitter 54, an information receiver 56, a calculation unit 58, a storage unit 60, a communication unit 62 (transmission unit), an operation unit 64, and a display unit 66. The information device 14 may include components other than these components, but descriptions of these components will be omitted here. A program for causing a computer to execute the medical information acquisition method according to this embodiment may be pre-installed in the information device 14. More specifically, a medical information management application program (medical information management app) described below may be pre-installed in the information device 14.
[0062] The signal transmitter 54 can transmit a request signal to the medicinal solution administration device 16. The information receiver 56 can receive predetermined information (identification information and medical information) transmitted from the medicinal solution administration device 16.
[0063] The calculation unit 58 is configured by a processor such as a CPU or a GPU. That is, the calculation unit 58 is configured by a processing circuit. The calculation unit 58 has a request signal transmission unit 68, an information acquisition unit 70, and an identification information determination unit 72. The request signal transmission unit 68, the information acquisition unit 70, and the identification information determination unit 72 can be realized by the calculation unit 58 executing a program stored in the storage unit 60.
[0064] At least a part of the request signal transmitting unit 68, the information acquiring unit 70, and the identification information determining unit 72 may be realized by an integrated circuit such as an ASIC, an FPGA, etc. Also, at least a part of the request signal transmitting unit 68, the information acquiring unit 70, and the identification information determining unit 72 may be configured by an electronic circuit including a discrete device.
[0065] The storage unit 60 is composed of a volatile memory (not shown) and a non-volatile memory (not shown). Examples of the volatile memory include RAM. The volatile memory is used as a working memory for the processor and temporarily stores data necessary for processing or calculation. Examples of the non-volatile memory include ROM and flash memory. The non-volatile memory is used as a storage memory and stores programs, tables, maps, etc. At least a part of the storage unit 60 may be provided in the processor, integrated circuit, etc. described above.
[0066] The communication unit 62 includes, for example, a communication module (not shown) and can transmit and receive data via the network 52 such as the Internet.
[0067] The operation unit 64 is used when the user operates the information device 14. The display unit 66 is provided with a display element (not shown). Examples of the display element include a liquid crystal display element and an organic electroluminescence display element. The operation unit 64 and the display unit 66 can be configured by a touch panel (not shown) equipped with such a display element, but are not limited to this. The operation unit 64 may also be configured by a keyboard, a mouse, etc.
[0068] The request signal transmitting unit 68 can transmit a request signal to the medicinal solution administration device 16 via the signal transmitter 54. The information acquiring unit 70 can acquire predetermined information (identification information and medical information) transmitted from the medicinal solution administration device 16 via the information receiver 56. The identification information determining unit 72 determines whether the identification information acquired by the information acquiring unit 70 matches registered identification information that has been registered in advance.
[0069] The registered identification information is identification information of the medicinal liquid administration device 16 registered in the database of the storage unit 60. The identification information of the medicinal liquid administration device 16 can be registered in the database, for example, by input by a user via the operation unit 64. The identification information of the medicinal liquid administration device 16 can also be registered in the database, for example, by reading a barcode or QR code (registered trademark) containing the identification information using a camera (not shown) provided in the information device 14. Furthermore, the identification information of the medicinal liquid administration device 16 may be pre-stored in the server device 50, or may be registered in the database by obtaining it from the server device 50 via the network 52.
[0070] The request signal is supplied using, for example, radio waves used in NFC (Near Field Communication). In this case, the signal transmitter 54 has an NFC antenna for transmitting, and the signal receiver 32 has an NFC antenna for receiving. The frequency of the radio waves used in NFC is, for example, 13.56 MHz.
[0071] The identification information and medical information are supplied using, for example, sound waves. The sound waves may be ultrasonic waves or sound waves in the audible frequency range. In this case, the information transmitter 34 has a speaker, and the information receiver 56 has a microphone. When sound waves in the audible frequency range are used, the sound waves also serve to notify the notification information.
[0072] The request signal may be supplied using sound waves. The identification information and medical information may be supplied using radio waves used in NFC. Furthermore, the request signal, identification information, and medical information may be supplied using electromagnetic waves other than radio waves used in NFC. In this case, the request signal, identification information, and medical information may be supplied via Bluetooth (registered trademark), infrared communication, wireless LAN, etc.
[0073] As described above, a program for causing a computer included in the information device 14 to execute the medical information acquisition method according to this embodiment may be pre-installed in the information device 14. More specifically, a medical information management application program (medical information management app) may be pre-installed in the information device 14. The medical information management app may be downloaded, for example, via a website or the like, but is not limited to this.
[0074] Next, a medical information acquisition method according to this embodiment will be described with reference to a flowchart shown in FIG.
[0075] In step S1, the medicinal liquid administration device 16 acquires medical information. Specifically, the user attaches the medicinal liquid administration device 16 to the living body 200 and administers the medicinal liquid using the medicinal liquid administration device 16. The acquisition unit 40 of the medicinal liquid administration device 16 acquires medical information such as the amount of medicinal liquid administered. During medicinal liquid administration, the transmission of medical information from the information transmitter 34 by the information transmission unit 46 is restricted. After this, the process proceeds to step S2.
[0076] In step S2, the medicinal liquid administration determining unit 42 determines whether or not the administration of the medicinal liquid has been completed, and then the process proceeds to step S3.
[0077] In step S3, the notification unit 48 notifies the user of the medicinal liquid administration information. This allows the user to know that the medicinal liquid administration has been completed or is incomplete (abnormal). Then, the process proceeds to step S4.
[0078] In step S4, the medicinal solution administration device 16 is detached from the living body 200. In this case, the detachment detector 30 detects that the medicinal solution administration device 16 has been detached from the living body 200. The information transmission unit 46 is set in a state in which it can transmit medical information based on the detection by the detachment detector 30 that the medicinal solution administration device 16 has been detached from the living body 200. Thereafter, the process proceeds to step S5.
[0079] In step S5 (request signal transmission step), the information device 14 transmits a request signal to the medicinal liquid administration device 16. Specifically, the user performs a medical information acquisition process using a medical information management app on the information device 14. When the medical information management app performs the medical information acquisition process, the request signal transmission unit 68 transmits a request signal via the signal transmitter 54. The user brings the information device 14 closer to the medicinal liquid administration device 16 as needed. If the request signal is radio waves used in NFC, it is preferable to bring the information device 14 closer to the medicinal liquid administration device 16, and information prompting such an action may be displayed on the display unit 66 of the information device 14. In step S5, if there are multiple registered identification information, the registered identification information of the medicinal liquid administration device 16 from which medical information is to be acquired may be selected in the medical information management app. Then, the process proceeds to step S6.
[0080] In step S6 (request signal receiving step), the signal receiver 32 receives the request signal, and the request signal is received by the request signal receiving unit 44. After this, the process proceeds to step S7.
[0081] In step S7 (information transmission step), the information transmission unit 46 transmits the identification information and medical information of the medicinal liquid administration device 16 via the information transmitter 34 based on the reception of the request signal. As a result, the information receiver 56 receives the identification information and medical information. Furthermore, in step S8, the notification unit 48 notifies the notification information. As a result, the user can know that the identification information and medical information are being transmitted from the medicinal liquid administration device 16. After this, the process proceeds to step S9.
[0082] In step S9, the information acquisition unit 70 acquires the identification information received by the information receiver 56. After that, the process proceeds to step S10.
[0083] In step S10, the identification information determination unit 72 determines whether the acquired identification information matches the registered identification information. If registered identification information is selected in the medical information management app in step S5, the identification information determination unit 72 determines whether the acquired identification information matches the selected registered identification information. If multiple registered identification information are stored in the storage unit 60 and no registered identification information has been selected, the identification information determination unit 72 determines whether the acquired identification information matches one of the multiple registered identification information. If the identification information determination unit 72 determines that the identification information does not match the registered identification information (NO in step S10), the process proceeds to step S11.
[0084] In step S11, the information acquisition unit 70 does not acquire the medical information received via the information receiver 56. This prevents the information device 14 from erroneously acquiring medical information held by a medical device other than the medicinal solution administration device 16. In this case, the information device 14 may notify the user of error information to inform them that the medical information could not be acquired. After this, the processing shown in FIG. 3 is completed.
[0085] If the identification information determination unit 72 determines that the identification information matches the registered identification information (YES in step S10), the process proceeds to step S12.
[0086] In step S12 (information acquisition step), the information acquisition unit 70 acquires the medical information received via the information receiver 56. The acquired medical information is stored in the storage unit 60. The medical information may also be transmitted from the communication unit 62 to the server device 50 via the network 52. After this, the process shown in FIG. 3 is completed.
[0087] According to this embodiment, medical information is transmitted from the medicinal solution administration device 16 based on receipt of a request signal transmitted from the information device 14, and therefore, power consumption of the medicinal solution administration device 16 can be reduced compared to when medical information is constantly transmitted from the medicinal solution administration device 16. In other words, according to this embodiment, an excellent medical device system 10 can be provided.
[0088] The medical information can be supplied using sound waves. According to this configuration, the medical information can be supplied by transmitting and receiving sound waves, so that the medicinal solution administration device 16 and the information device 14 can have simple configurations.
[0089] The medicinal solution administration device 16 includes a notification unit 48 that notifies the user with notification information to inform the user that medical information is being transmitted by the information transmission unit 46. With this configuration, the notification information allows the user to know that medical information is being transmitted.
[0090] The notification unit 48 stops the notification of the notification information in response to completion of transmission of the medical information by the information transmission unit 46. With this configuration, the user can know that transmission of the medical information has been completed by the stopping of the notification information.
[0091] The information transmitting unit 46 can transmit the medical information continuously for a predetermined period of time. With this configuration, the transmission of the medical information can be controlled simply.
[0092] The information transmitting unit 46 further transmits identification information for identifying the medicinal liquid administration device 16, and the information device 14 further includes an identification information determining unit 72 that determines whether the identification information provided from the medicinal liquid administration device 16 matches pre-registered registered identification information. The information acquiring unit 70 acquires the medical information when the identification information determining unit 72 determines that the identification information provided from the medicinal liquid administration device 16 matches the registered identification information. With this configuration, for example, even if there are multiple medical devices, the information device 14 can acquire only the medical information of a specific medicinal liquid administration device 16. Furthermore, it is possible to prevent the information device 14 from acquiring medical information of other medical devices.
[0093] The information device 14 includes a storage unit 60 that can store the medical information acquired by the information acquisition unit 70. With this configuration, the acquired medical information can be saved in the information device 14.
[0094] The medicinal solution administration device 16 is formed to be detachable from the living body 200, and the information transmission unit 46 does not transmit medical information while the medicinal solution administration device 16 is attached to the living body 200, but can transmit the medical information only when the medicinal solution administration device 16 is detached from the living body 200. This configuration makes it possible to prevent the medical information from being transmitted before or while the medical information is being acquired by the medicinal solution administration device 16. This allows the latest medical information to be transmitted after the medicinal solution administration device 16 is detached from the living body 200.
[0095] The medicinal solution administration device 16 further includes a medicinal solution administration determination unit 42 that determines whether the administration of the medicinal solution has been completed or not. The information transmission unit 46 can transmit medical information based on the determination by the medicinal solution administration determination unit 42 that the administration of the medicinal solution has been completed or not. With this configuration, medical information related to the administration of the medicinal solution by the medicinal solution administration device 16 can be transmitted.
[0096] The information device 14 further includes a communication unit 62 that transmits the medical information acquired by the information acquisition unit 70 to the server device 50 via the network 52. With this configuration, the medical information can be stored in the server device 50.
[0097] (Modification) When the request signal is supplied using electromagnetic waves, the electromagnetic waves may be light. In this case, the signal transmitter 54 has a light-emitting unit, and the signal receiver 32 has a light-receiving unit. Furthermore, the request signal receiving unit 44 receives the request signal when the illuminance of the light received by the light-receiving unit is equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold. This configuration makes it possible to suppress the reception of a request signal based on unintended light, such as from an interior light. Examples of light used to supply the request signal include, but are not limited to, infrared light and visible light.
[0098] In such a modified example, the request signal receiving unit 44 may receive a request signal based on the wavelength of light received by the light receiving unit, etc. In other words, the request signal may be received when light of a specific wavelength is received by the light receiving unit.
[0099] The present invention is not limited to the above disclosure, and various configurations can be adopted without departing from the gist of the present invention.
