Binding tool and binder

Abstract

The present invention provides a binding tool not only capable of stably binding a document having a binding hole but also easy for a user to operate. To this end, this binding tool (A) has a first ring group (G1), a second ring group (G2), and a third ring group (G3) each of which is configured with a plurality of binding rings including non-lock rings (C) and locking rings (D). The binding tool (A) is configured such that the posture thereof can be changed from a closed posture in which the document is bound to an open posture in which the document can be attached and detached, by applying an operation force only to the locking rings (D) that are operation rings in the third ring group (G3), which is positioned between the first and second ring groups (G1), (G2).
