Abstract
A vehicle security and ignition authorization system comprising a hybrid tracker control unit connected to a GPS module, a GSM communication module, a Bluetooth authentication module, and a driver presence sensor. The GPS module determines the geographic location of a vehicle. The GSM communication module transmits vehicle data to a remote monitoring platform. The Bluetooth authentication module detects and authenticates a registered Bluetooth device associated with a user. The driver presence sensor detects the physical presence of a driver within the vehicle. The hybrid tracker control unit receives signals from the Bluetooth authentication module and the driver presence sensor and transmits an authorization signal to an ignition interface connected to the vehicle ignition system.
