The utility model “METHOD FOR PRODUCING 4(PYRIDINE-2-YLOXY)-3-(P-TOLYL)-1,2,4THIADIAZOLE-5(4H)-ONE” relates to the field of fine organic synthesis and can be used to obtain 4-(pyridin-2-yloxy)3-(p-tolyl)-1,2,4-thiadiazol-5(4H)-one. The method of preparation is based on a two-stage synthesis involving the reaction of N'-hydroxy-4-methylbenzimidamide with pyridine-N-oxide in the presence of bromotris(pyrrolidino)phosphonium hexafluorophosphate (PyBroP) and an organic base in an acetonitrile medium at room temperature to form 4-methyl-N'-(pyridin-2-yloxy)benzimidamide, followed by cyclization by reaction with (chlorocarbonyl)sulfenyl chloride in the presence of sodium carbonate in a dichloromethane medium at room temperature, isolation of the target product by filtration, washing and drying.
