The method of preparation is based on a two-stage synthesis involving the reaction of N'-hydroxy-4-methylbenzimidamide with pyridine-N-oxide in the presence of bromotris(pyrrolidino)phosphonium hexafluorophosphate (PyBroP) and an organic base in an acetonitrile medium at room temperature to form 4-methyl-N'-(pyridin-2-yloxy)benzimidamide, followed by cyclization by reaction with (chlorocarbonyl)sulfenyl chloride in the presence of sodium carbonate in a dichloromethane medium at room temperature, isolation of the target product by filtration, washing and drying.
