Abstract
Charging management methods and systems for electric vehicle charging stations based on carbon emissions are provided, which is applicable to a charging field including a plurality of electric vehicle charging stations, and the electric vehicle charging stations are connected to a server through a network. First, at least one energy management scheme is provided in the server, wherein the energy management scheme records a power distribution logic for controlling the charging operations in each of the electric vehicle charging stations. The server obtains power usage status information of each electric vehicle charging station, at least one first carbon emission factor corresponding to the charging field, and at least one second carbon emission factor corresponding to the electric vehicle charging stations through the network. The server estimates a total carbon emission of the charging field based on the power usage status information of each electric vehicle charging station, the at least one first carbon emission factor, and the at least one second carbon emission factor. The server executes the energy management scheme according to the total carbon emission of the charging field and a predetermined carbon emission target value to determine respective target power parameter value for the charging operation of each electric vehicle charging station, where the charging operation is performed through the individual electric vehicle charging stations based on the respective target power parameter value, so that the total carbon emission does not exceed the predetermined carbon emission target value.
