[0037] Fig. 1 illustrates a schematic diagram of an example communication network 100 in which embodiments of the present disclosure can be implemented. As shown in Fig. 1, the communication network 100 may include a terminal device 110, a terminal device 120, a terminal device 130, network devices 140 and 150. The network devices 140 and 150 may communicate with the terminal device 110, the terminal device 120 and the terminal device 130 via respective wireless communication channels.
[0038] In some embodiments, the network device 140 may be a gNB in NR. Thus, the network device 140 may be also referred to as an NR network device 140.
[0039] In some embodiments, the network device 150 may be an eNB in Long Term Evolution (LTE) system. Thus, the network device 150 may be also referred to as an LTE network device 150.
[0040] It is to be understood that the number of devices in Fig. 1 is given for the purpose of illustration without suggesting any limitations to the present disclosure. The communication network 100 may include any suitable number of network devices and / or terminal devices adapted for implementing embodiments of the present disclosure.
[0041] The communications in the communication network 100 may conform to any suitable standards including, but not limited to, Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) , LTE, LTE-Evolution, LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) , Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) , Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) , GSM EDGE Radio Access Network (GERAN) , Machine Type Communication (MTC) and the like. Furthermore, the communications may be performed according to any generation communication protocols either currently known or to be developed in the future. Examples of the communication protocols include, but not limited to, the first generation (1G) , the second generation (2G) , 2.5G, 2.75G, the third generation (3G) , the fourth generation (4G) , 4.5G, the fifth generation (5G) communication protocols.
[0042] In some embodiments, the communications in the communication network 100 may comprise sidelink communication. Sidelink communication is a wireless radio communication directly between two or more terminal devices, such as two or more terminal devices among the terminal device 110, the terminal device 120 and the terminal device 130. In this type of communication, the two or more terminal devices that are geographically proximate to each other can directly communicate without going through the network device 140 or 150 or through a core network. Data transmission in sidelink communication is thus different from typical cellular network communications, in which a terminal device transmits data to the network device 140 or 150 (i.e., uplink transmissions) or receives data from the network device 140 or 150 (i.e., downlink transmissions) . In sidelink communication, data is transmitted directly from a source terminal device (such as the terminal device 110) to a target terminal device (such as the terminal device 120) through the Unified Air Interface, e.g., PC5 interface, (i.e., sidelink transmissions) , as shown in Fig. 1.
[0043] Sidelink communication can provide several advantages, including reducing data transmission load on a core network, system resource consumption, transmission power consumption, and network operation costs, saving wireless spectrum resources, and increasing spectrum efficiency of a cellular wireless communication system.
[0044] In a sidelink communication system, the sidelink resource is used to transmit information between terminal devices. According to application scenarios, service types, etc., a sidelink communication manner includes but is not limited to device to device (D2D) communication, Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication, etc.
[0045] V2X communication enables vehicles to communicate with other vehicles (i.e. Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) communication) , with infrastructure (i.e. Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) , with wireless networks (i.e. Vehicle-to-Network (V2N) communication) , with pedestrians (i.e. Vehicle-to-Pedestrian (V2P) communication) , and even with the owner's home (i.e. Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) ) . Examples of infrastructure include roadside units such as traffic lights, toll gates and the like. V2X communication can be used in a wide range of scenarios, including in accident prevention and safety, convenience, traffic efficiency and clean driving, and ultimately in relation to autonomous or self-driving vehicles.
[0046] For sidelink communication, a terminal device uses resources in sidelink resource pools to transmit or receive signals. The sidelink resource pools include resources in time domain and frequency domain, which are dedicated resources of the sidelink communication, or shared by the sidelink communication and a cellular link. For sidelink communication, two modes of resource assignment may be used for sidelink, including network device schedules sidelink resources for terminal devices to perform sidelink signal transmission, named as mode 1 resource scheme in NR sidelink or mode 3 resource scheme in LTE sidelink, and terminal device selects sidelink resources by itself to perform sidelink signal transmission, named as mode 2 resource scheme in NR sidelink or mode 4 resource scheme in LTE sidelink.
[0047] The terminal device 110, the terminal device 120 and the terminal device 130 may use sidelink channels to transmit sidelink signaling or information. The sidelink channels include at least one of the following: a PSCCH resource which is used for carrying sidelink control information (SCI) , a PSSCH resource which is used for carrying sidelink data service information, a PSFCH resource which is used for carrying sidelink Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) feedback information, a physical sidelink broadcast channel (PSBCH) resource which is used for carrying sidelink broadcast information, and a physical sidelink discovery channel (PSDCH) resource which is used for carrying a sidelink discovery signal.
[0048] Within a resource pool, whether a PSFCH resource is available may be configured or pre-configured. In time domain, according to the configuration or pre-configuration of a resource pool, one of every N slots in the resource pool contains PSFCH resources, N= [0, 1, 2, 4] . In a sidelink resource pool, PSCCH or PSSCH resources are presented in every slot and used for transmitting sidelink data packet. Within a slot containing a PSFCH resource, the last three SL symbols (GP+AGC+PSFCH) preceding the last GP symbols are used for PSFCH related, as shown in Fig. 2.
[0049] A PSFCH resource may comprises one RB in frequency domain and one symbol in time domain (AGC symbol is repeated) and one cyclic shift pair in code domain. In addition, the PSFCH resource may carry 1 bit ACK / NACK information. Furthermore, the PSFCH resource may be related to one sub-channel in one slot.
[0050] While PSFCH is used for carrying sidelink HARQ feedback information associated with a sidelink data transmission on the assigned slots. Based on that, the time intervals between HARQ feedback information on PSFCH and the associated sidelink data transmission on PSSCH are various. As an example shown in Fig. 3, where N=4, i.e., one out of every four slots in the resource pool contains a PSFCH resource.
[0051] There is an N-to-one mapping relationship in time domain between PSSCH and PSFCH. For the data transmission on PSSCH in slot #n, the associated HARQ feedback information may be reported in slot #n+k, k >=K. K represents a minimum time gap between a PSFCH occasion and a PSSCH occasion. Hereinafter, K is also referred to as “Gap” . K may be configured or pre-configured through high layer. For example, K may be configured as K= [2, 3] by sl-MinTimeGapPSFCH. As shown in Fig. 3, K=2 slots. Accordingly, the HARQ feedback information associated with the PSSCH in slots #n and #n+1 may be reported on PSFCH in slot #n+3, and the HARQ feedback information associated with the PSSCH in slots #n+2, #n+3, n+4 and n+5 may be reported on PSFCH in slot #n+7.
[0052] In frequency domain, the RBs used as PSFCH resources may be configured by bitmap. Based on that, the assigned RBs for PSFCH resources may be allocated to carry the beam report (BR) information associated with beam measurement reference signals. This will be described with reference to Fig. 4.
[0053] Fig. 4 illustrates an example of mapping between transmission of beam measurement reference signals and a PSFCH resource. In the example of Fig. 4, a period of PSFCH resources is equal to 4 and K is equal to 2. Hereinafter, the period of PSFCH resources is also referred to as PSFCH period for brevity.
[0054] The terminal device 110 may receive and measure beam measurement reference signals within at least one of sub-channels #1, #2, …, #12 in slots #n, #n+1, #n+2 and #n+3. The terminal device 110 may determine beam report information associated with the beam measurement reference signals. The beam report information may indicate measurement results of the beam measurement reference signals. In turn, the terminal device 110 may transmit, in a set of PSFCH resources in slot #n+5, the beam report information associated with the beam measurement reference signals in at least one of slots #n, #n+1, #n+2 and #n+3.
[0055] For example, the terminal device 110 may transmit, on at least one PSFCH resource in a subset of PSFCH resources 410 in slot #n+5, beam report information associated with beam measurement reference signals within a sub-channel 12 in slot #n+3. Thus, it needs to discuss how to determine association between the at least one PSFCH resource for the beam report information and the beam measurement reference signals.
[0056] Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a solution for sidelink communication. According to the solution, a terminal device determines at least one PSFCH resource in a set of PSFCH resources in a first slot based on at least one of following: a physical layer source identity provided by sidelink control information scheduling beam measurement reference signals associated with the beam report information, a symbol index of a symbol in a second slot carrying one of the beam measurement reference signals, or the number of PSFCH resources available for multiplexing the beam report information; and transmit or receive the beam report information on the at least one PSFCH resource. In this way, transmission or reception of beam report information may be achieved.
[0057] Hereinafter, principle of the present disclosure will be described with reference to Figs. 5 to 9.
[0058] Fig. 5 illustrates a flowchart of an example method in accordance with some embodiments of the present disclosure. In some embodiments, the method 500 can be implemented at a terminal device, such as one of the terminal device 110, the terminal device 120 and the terminal device 130 as shown in Fig. 1. For the purpose of discussion, the method 500 will be described with reference to Fig. 1 as performed by the terminal device 110 without loss of generality.
[0059] At block 510, the terminal device 110 determines at least one PSFCH resource in a set of PSFCH resources in a first slot based on at least one of following: a physical layer source identity provided by sidelink control information scheduling beam measurement reference signals associated with the beam report information, a symbol index of a symbol in a second slot carrying one of the beam measurement reference signals, or the number of PSFCH resources available for multiplexing the beam report information.
[0060] At block 520, the terminal device 110 transmits or receives the beam report information on the at least one PSFCH resource.
[0061] With the method 500, transmission or reception of beam report information may be achieved.
[0062] It shall be understood that although the solution of the present disclosure may be applied to transmission or reception of beam report information, some embodiments of the present disclosure will be described by taking the transmission of beam report information an example.
[0063] In some embodiments, the beam measurement reference signals may include but are not limited to channel-state information reference signals (CSI-RS) or sidelink synchronization signal and physical broadcast channel block (S-SSB) . Hereinafter, some embodiments of the present disclosure will be described by taking CSI-RS as an example of the beam measurement reference signals.
[0064] In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 can be enabled or configured to transmit a PSFCH with beam report information in a resource pool. The terminal device 110 can determine one or more transmission beams based on measurement of the corresponding CSI-RS transmissions from the terminal device 120 and the terminal device 110 provides beam report information in a PSFCH. The beam report information may indicate the measurement of the corresponding CSI-RS transmissions. Alternatively, the beam report information may comprise beam failure recovery related report, such as beam failure instance (BFI) , candidate beam identification (CBD) report, and so on.
[0065] In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may stop to measure subsequent CSI-RS transmissions if a measured CSI-RS has a measurement above a threshold.
[0066] In some embodiments, the set of PSFCH resources comprises a dedicated set of PSFCH resources for the beam report information. In other words, a PSFCH transmission with the beam report information uses the dedicated set of PSFCH resources. In this way, any resource conflict with legacy PSFCH transmission may be avoided.
[0067] In some embodiments, the dedicated set of PSFCH resources may be configured in an FR2 BWP only.
[0068] In some embodiments, beam measurement and beam report information in the dedicated set of PSFCH resources may be enabled in FR2 band only.
[0069] In some embodiments, the set of PSFCH resources comprises a dedicated set of PSFCH resources for the beam report information. For example, the dedicated set of PSFCH resources may comprise a dedicated set of physical resource blocks (PRBs) in a slot. This will be described with reference to Figs. 6A, 6B and 6C.
[0070] Fig. 6A illustrates an example of mapping between transmission of beam measurement reference signals and a PSFCH resource.
[0071] The terminal device 110 may be provided by sl-fr2-RB-SetPSFCH a set of PRBs in a resource pool for PSFCH transmission with beam report information in a PRB of the resource pool. The terminal device 110 expects that different PRBs are (pre) configured for beam report information, conflict information and HARQ-ACK information.
[0072] For a number of Nsubch sub-channels for the resource pool, provided by sl-NumSubchannel, and a number of PSSCH slots associated with a PSFCH slot that is less than or equal to the terminal device 110 allocates the PRBs from the PRBs to slot i among the PSSCH slots associated with the PSFCH slot and sub-channel j , where 0≤j<Nsubch, and the allocation starts in an ascending order of i and continues in an ascending order of j . The terminal device 110 expects that is a multiple of
[0073] Then, the terminal device 110 determines a number of PSFCH resources available for multiplexing beam report information in a PSFCH transmission as where represents the number of cyclic shift pairs for the resource pool provided by sl-NumMuxCS-Pair and, based on an indication by sl-PSFCH-CandidateResourceType.
[0074] If sl-PSFCH-CandidateResourceType is configured as startSubCH, and the PRBs are associated with the starting sub-channel of the corresponding PSSCH.
[0075] Alternatively, if sl-PSFCH-CandidateResourceType is configured as allocSubCH, and the PRBs are associated with the sub-channels of the corresponding PSSCH.
[0076] The PSFCH resources are first indexed according to an ascending order of the PRB index, from the PRBs, and then according to an ascending order of the cyclic shift pair index from the cyclic shift pairs.
[0077] In the example of Fig. 6A, PSFCH period=4 and K=2, Nsubch =3 and In addition, and
[0078] The terminal device 110 may receive and measure beam measurement reference signals within at least one of sub-channels #1, #2, …, #12 in slots #n, #n+1, #n+2 and #n+3. The terminal device 110 may determine beam report information associated with the beam measurement reference signals. The beam report information may indicate measurement results of the beam measurement reference signals. Alternatively, the beam report information may comprise beam failure recovery related report, such as beam failure instance (BFI) , candidate beam identification (CBD) report, and so on. In turn, the terminal device 110 may transmit the beam report information associated with the beam measurement reference signals in slots #n, #n+1, #n+2 and #n+3 in a set of PSFCH resources in slot #n+5. The number (represented by ) of PSFCH resources in the set of PSFCH resources is equal to 60.
[0079] For example, the terminal device 110 may transmit beam report information associated with beam measurement reference signals within a sub-channel #12 in slot #n+3 on at least one PSFCH resource in a subset of PSFCH resources 610 in slot #n+5. The PSFCH resources in the subset 610 are also referred to as PSFCH resources available for multiplexing beam report information in a PSFCH transmission. The number (represented by ) of PSFCH resources in the subset 610 is equal to 10.
[0080] Fig. 6B illustrates an example of details of mapping between transmission of beam measurement reference signals and a PSFCH resource in Fig. 6A. As shown in Fig. 6B, the terminal device 130 may transmit, via unicast, beam measurement reference signals within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #2, #3, #4, #7 and #8 in slot #n+3 by using five different beams. Accordingly, the terminal device 110 may receive and measure beam measurement reference signals within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #2, #3, #4, #7 and #8 in slot #n+3 by using five different beams.
[0081] The terminal device 110 may determine beam report information associated with the beam measurement reference signals. The beam report information may indicate measurement results of the beam measurement reference signals. Alternatively, the beam report information may comprise beam failure recovery related report, such as beam failure instance (BFI) , candidate beam identification (CBD) report, and so on. In turn, the terminal device 110 may transmit, on five PSFCH resources in the subset of PSFCH resources 610 in slot #n+5, the beam report information associated with the beam measurement reference signals within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #2, #3, #4, #7 and #8 in slot #n+3. Each of the five beams has one-to-one mapping with one PSFCH resource among the 10 available PSFCH resources in the subset 610.
[0082] The terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource in the subset 610 based on at least one of following: a physical layer source identity (ID) provided by sidelink control information (SCI) scheduling beam measurement reference signals associated with the beam report information, an index of a beam associated with one of the beam measurement reference signals, or the number of PSFCH resources available for multiplexing the beam report information. Hereinafter, an index of a beam is also referred to as a beam index which is represented by BID.
[0083] For example, the terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource in the subset 610 based on the following:
[0084] where PID represents the physical layer source ID provided by SCI within the sub-channel #12 in slot #n+3 as shown in Fig. 6A, BID represents a beam index, and represents the number of available PSFCH resources in the subset 610.
[0085] In some embodiments, a beam index may be a symbol index of a symbol in a second slot carrying one of the beam measurement reference signals. For example, a symbol index of the symbol #2 in slot #n+3 carrying the beam measurement reference signal is 2. Thus, a beam index associated with the beam measurement reference signal on the symbol #2 in slot #n+3 is 2. For another example, a symbol index of the symbol #8 in slot #n+3 carrying the beam measurement reference signal is 8. Thus, a beam index associated with the beam measurement reference signal on the symbol #8 in slot #n+3 is 8.
[0086] Alternatively, in some embodiments, a beam index may be an index in a set of predefined indexes. For example, a beam index associated with the beam measurement reference signal on the symbol #2 in slot #n+3 is a predefined index of 0. For another example, a beam index associated with the beam measurement reference signal on the symbol #8 in slot #n+3 is a predefined index of 4. Other possible predefined indexes for each beam are not precluded.
[0087] Alternatively, in some embodiments, contiguous symbols in a slot may carry one of the beam measurement reference signals. In such embodiments, a beam index may be a first symbol index of a starting symbol among the contiguous symbols or a second symbol index of an ending symbol among the contiguous symbols.
[0088] With the examples of Figs. 6A and 6B, there is one PSFCH resource for beam report information associated with each of the beams.
[0089] Fig. 6C illustrates another example of details of mapping between transmission of beam measurement reference signals and a PSFCH resource in Fig. 6A. As shown in Fig. 6C, the terminal device 130 may transmit, to a group of terminal devices, beam measurement reference signals within the sub-channel #12 in slot #n+3 by using six different beams. The group of terminal devices comprises terminal devices 110 and 120. For example, the terminal device 130 may transmit, to the terminal device 110, beam measurement reference signals within the sub-channel #12 on symbols#2, #3, #4 in slot #n+3 by using beams #1, #2 and #3. In addition, the terminal device 130 may transmit, to the terminal device 120, beam measurement reference signals within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #6, #7, #8 in slot #n+3 by using beams #1, #2 and #3.
[0090] Accordingly, the terminal device 110 may receive and measure beam measurement reference signals within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #2, #3 and #4 in slot #n+3 by using beams #1, #2 and #3. The terminal device 120 may receive and measure beam measurement reference signals within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #6, #7, #8 in slot #n+3 by using beams #1, #2 and #3.
[0091] The terminal device 110 may determine beam report information associated with the beam measurement reference signals. The beam report information may indicate measurement results of the beam measurement reference signals. Alternatively, the beam report information may comprise beam failure recovery related report, such as beam failure instance (BFI) , candidate beam identification (CBD) report, and so on. In turn, the terminal device 110 may transmit, on three PSFCH resources in the subset of PSFCH resources 610 in slot #n+5, the beam report information associated with the beam measurement reference signals within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #2, #3 and #4 in slot #n+3. Each of the three beams has one-to-one mapping with one PSFCH resource among the 10 available PSFCH resources in the subset 610.
[0092] The terminal device 110 may determine a beam report index for each of beams for each of terminal devices in a group.
[0093] In some embodiments, beam report indexes for the beams for the terminal devices in the group are first indexed according to an ascending order of indexes of the beams and then according to an ascending order of identities of the terminal devices in the group. For example, in the example of Fig. 6C, beam report indexes for the beams for the terminal device 110 in the group may be beam report indexes 1, 2 and 3 for each pair of (beam#1, member#1) , (beam#2, member#1) , (beam#3, member#1) , where member#1 represents an ID of the terminal device 110 in the group. Beam report indexes for the beams for the terminal device 120 in the group may be beam report indexes 4, 5 and 6 for each pair of (beam#1, member#2) , (beam#2, member#2) , (beam#3, member#2) , where member#2 represents an ID of the terminal device 120 in the group.
[0094] In turn, the terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource for beam report information based on the following: a physical layer source ID provided by SCI scheduling receptions of beam measurement reference signals, the beam report index, and the number of PSFCH resources available for multiplexing the beam report information. For example, the terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource in the subset 610 based on the following:
[0095] where PID represents the physical layer source ID provided by SCI within the sub-channel #12 in slot #n+3 as shown in Fig. 6A, BR index represents a beam report index, and represents the number of available PSFCH resources in the subset 610.
[0096] Alternatively, the terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource for beam report information as the beam report index.
[0097] The example of Fig. 6C may support different UE transmit different beam index in groupcast transmission.
[0098] In some embodiments, the set of PSFCH resources comprises a first set of PSFCH resources for hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback information and the beam report information. In other words, a PSFCH transmission with the beam report information shares a set of PSFCH resources for PSFCH transmission with the HARQ feedback information. For example, the set of PSFCH resources may comprise a first set of PRBs in a slot for HARQ feedback information and the beam report information. In such embodiments, the terminal device 110 may transmit PSFCH with HARQ-ACK information and PSFCH with beam report information in a same set of PRBs in the resource pool. This will be described with reference to Figs. 7A, 7B, 7C, 7D, 7E and 7F. Hereinafter, the HARQ feedback information is also referred to as HARQ-ACK information.
[0099] Fig. 7A illustrates an example of mapping between transmission of beam measurement reference signals and a PSFCH resource.
[0100] The terminal device 110 may be provided by sl-PSFCH-RB-Set a set of PRBs in a resource pool for PSFCH transmission with HARQ-ACK information and beam report information in a PRB of the resource pool. The terminal device 110 can be provided by sl-RB-SetPSFCH a set of PRBs in a resource pool for PSFCH transmission with conflict information in a PRB of the resource pool. The terminal device 110 expects that different PRBs are (pre) configured for conflict information and HARQ-ACK information along with beam report information.
[0101] For a number of Nsubch sub-channels for the resource pool, provided by sl-NumSubchannel, and a number of PSSCH slots associated with a PSFCH slot that is less than or equal to the terminal device 110 allocates the PRBs from the PRBs to slot i among the PSSCH slots associated with the PSFCH slot and sub-channel j , where 0≤j<Nsubch, and the allocation starts in an ascending order of i and continues in an ascending order of j . The terminal device 110 expects that is a multiple of
[0102] Then, the terminal device 110 determines a number of PSFCH resources available for multiplexing beam report information and HARQ feedback information in a PSFCH transmission as where represents the number of cyclic shift pairs for the resource pool provided by sl-NumMuxCS-Pair and, based on an indication by sl-PSFCH-CandidateResourceType.
[0103] If sl-PSFCH-CandidateResourceType is configured as startSubCH, and the PRBs are associated with the starting sub-channel of the corresponding PSSCH.
[0104] Alternatively, if sl-PSFCH-CandidateResourceType is configured as allocSubCH, and the PRBs are associated with the sub-channels of the corresponding PSSCH.
[0105] The PSFCH resources are first indexed according to an ascending order of the PRB index, from the PRBs, and then according to an ascending order of the cyclic shift pair index from the cyclic shift pairs.
[0106] In the example of Fig. 7A, PSFCH period=4 and K=2, Nsubch =3 and In addition, and
[0107] The terminal device 110 may receive and measure beam measurement reference signals within at least one of sub-channels #1, #2, …, #12 in slots #n, #n+1, #n+2 and #n+3.
[0108] For example, the terminal device 110 may transmit beam report information associated with beam measurement reference signals within a sub-channel #12 in slot #n+3 on at least one PSFCH resource in a subset of PSFCH resources 710 in slot #n+5. The PSFCH resources in the subset 710 are also referred to as PSFCH resources available for multiplexing beam report information and HARQ feedback information in a PSFCH transmission. The number (represented by ) of PSFCH resources in the subset 710 is equal to 10.
[0109] In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may receive the beam measurement reference signals without sidelink data. In other words, transmission of the beam measurement reference signals are standalone transmission. In such embodiments, only beam report information is multiplexed in the PSFCH resources in the subset 710.
[0110] Fig. 7B illustrates an example of details of mapping between transmission of beam measurement reference signals and a PSFCH resource in Fig. 7A. As shown in Fig. 7B, the terminal device 130 may transmit, via unicast, beam measurement reference signals without sidelink data within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #0, #1, #2, #3, #4 and #5 in slot #n+3 by using six different beams. Accordingly, the terminal device 110 may receive and measure beam measurement reference signals within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #0, #1, #2, #3, #4 and #5 in slot #n+3 by using six different beams.
[0111] The terminal device 110 may determine beam report information associated with the beam measurement reference signals. The beam report information may indicate measurement results of the beam measurement reference signals. Alternatively, the beam report information may comprise beam failure recovery related report, such as beam failure instance (BFI) , candidate beam identification (CBD) report, and so on. In turn, the terminal device 110 may transmit, on six PSFCH resources in the subset of PSFCH resources 710 in slot #n+5, the beam report information associated with the beam measurement reference signals within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #0, #1, #2, #3, #4 and #5 in slot #n+3. Each of the six beams has one-to-one mapping with one PSFCH resource among the 10 available PSFCH resources in the subset 710.
[0112] The terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource in the subset 710 based on at least one of following: a physical layer source ID provided by SCI scheduling beam measurement reference signals associated with the beam report information, an index of a beam associated with one of the beam measurement reference signals, or the number of PSFCH resources available for multiplexing the beam report information and HARQ feedback information. Hereinafter, an index of a beam is also referred to as a beam index which is represented by BID.
[0113] For example, the terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource in the subset 710 based on the following
[0114] where PID represents the physical layer source ID provided by SCI within the sub-channel #12 in slot #n+3 as shown in Fig. 7A, BID represents a beam index, and represents the number of available PSFCH resources in the subset 710.
[0115] In some embodiments, a beam index may be a symbol index of a symbol in a second slot carrying one of the beam measurement reference signals. For example, a symbol index of the symbol #2 in slot #n+3 carrying the beam measurement reference signal is 2. Thus, a beam index associated with the beam measurement reference signal on the symbol #2 in slot #n+3 is 2. For another example, a symbol index of the symbol #5 in slot #n+3 carrying the beam measurement reference signal is 5. Thus, a beam index associated with the beam measurement reference signal on the symbol #5 in slot #n+3 is 5.
[0116] Alternatively, in some embodiments, a beam index may be an index in a set of predefined indexes.
[0117] Alternatively, in some embodiments, contiguous symbols in a slot may carry one of the beam measurement reference signals. In such embodiments, a beam index may be a first symbol index of a starting symbol among the contiguous symbols or a second symbol index of an ending symbol among the contiguous symbols.
[0118] With the examples of Figs. 7A and 7B, there is one PSFCH resource for beam report information associated with each of the beams.
[0119] Fig. 7C illustrates another example of details of mapping between transmission of beam measurement reference signals and a PSFCH resource in Fig. 7A. As shown in Fig. 7C, the terminal device 130 may transmit, via unicast, beam measurement reference signals with sidelink data within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #1, #2, #3 and #4 in slot #n+3 by using four different beams. In other words, transmission of the beam measurement reference signals are non-standalone transmission. Accordingly, the terminal device 110 may receive and measure beam measurement reference signals within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #1, #2, #3 and #4 in slot #n+3 by using four different beams.
[0120] The terminal device 110 may determine beam report information associated with the beam measurement reference signals. The beam report information may indicate measurement results of the beam measurement reference signals. Alternatively, the beam report information may comprise beam failure recovery related report, such as beam failure instance (BFI) , candidate beam identification (CBD) report, and so on. In turn, the terminal device 110 may transmit, on four PSFCH resources in the subset of PSFCH resources 710 in slot #n+5, the beam report information associated with the beam measurement reference signals within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #1, #2, #3 and #4 in slot #n+3. Each of the four beams has one-to-one mapping with one PSFCH resource among the 10 available PSFCH resources in the subset 710.
[0121] The terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource for HARQ feedback information in the subset 710 based on at least one of following: a physical layer source ID provided by SCI scheduling beam measurement reference signals associated with the beam report information, a member ID, or the number of PSFCH resources available for multiplexing the beam report information and HARQ feedback information. For example, the terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource for HARQ feedback information in the subset 710 based on the following:
[0122] where PID represents the physical layer source ID provided by SCI within the sub-channel #12 in slot #n+3 as shown in Fig. 7A, MID represents the member ID and is equal to zero for unicast transmission, and represents the number of available PSFCH resources in the subset 710.
[0123] In addition, the terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource for beam report information in the subset 710 based on at least one of following: a physical layer source ID provided by SCI scheduling beam measurement reference signals associated with the beam report information, an index of a beam associated with one of the beam measurement reference signals, or the number of PSFCH resources available for multiplexing the beam report information and HARQ feedback information. Hereinafter, an index of a beam is also referred to as a beam index which is represented by BID.
[0124] For example, the terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource in the subset 710 based on the following:
[0125] where PID represents the physical layer source ID provided by SCI within the sub-channel #12 in slot #n+3 as shown in Fig. 7A, BID represents a beam index, and represents the number of available PSFCH resources in the subset 710.
[0126] In some embodiments, a beam index may be a non-zero symbol index of a symbol in a second slot carrying one of the beam measurement reference signals. For example, a symbol index of the symbol #2 in slot #n+3 carrying the beam measurement reference signal is 2. Thus, a beam index associated with the beam measurement reference signal on the symbol #2 in slot #n+3 is 2. For another example, a symbol index of the symbol #4 in slot #n+3 carrying the beam measurement reference signal is 4. Thus, a beam index associated with the beam measurement reference signal on the symbol #4 in slot #n+3 is 4.
[0127] Alternatively, in some embodiments, a beam index may be an index in a set of predefined indexes without zero.
[0128] Alternatively, in some embodiments, contiguous symbols in a slot may carry one of the beam measurement reference signals. In such embodiments, a beam index may be a first non-zero symbol index of a starting symbol among the contiguous symbols or a second non- zero symbol index of an ending symbol among the contiguous symbols.
[0129] In the example of Fig. 7C, there is no conflict between beam report information and HARQ feedback information.
[0130] Figs. 7D and 7E illustrates another example of details of mapping between transmission of beam measurement reference signals and a PSFCH resource in Fig. 7A. As shown in Figs. 7D and 7E, the terminal device 130 may transmit, via unicast, beam measurement reference signals with sidelink data within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #0, #1, #2 and #3 in slot #n+3 by using four different beams. Accordingly, the terminal device 110 may receive and measure beam measurement reference signals within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #0, #1, #2 and #3 in slot #n+3 by using four different beams.
[0131] The terminal device 110 may determine beam report information associated with the beam measurement reference signals. The beam report information may indicate measurement results of the beam measurement reference signals. Alternatively, the beam report information may comprise beam failure recovery related report, such as beam failure instance (BFI) , candidate beam identification (CBD) report, and so on. In turn, the terminal device 110 may transmit, on four PSFCH resources in the subset of PSFCH resources 710 in slot #n+5, the beam report information associated with the beam measurement reference signals within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #0, #1, #2 and #3 in slot #n+3. Each of the four beams has one-to-one mapping with one PSFCH resource among the 10 available PSFCH resources in the subset 710.
[0132] The terminal device 110 may determine an index of a first PSFCH resource for HARQ feedback information in the subset 710 based on at least one of following: a physical layer source ID provided by SCI scheduling beam measurement reference signals associated with the beam report information, a member ID, or the number of PSFCH resources available for multiplexing the beam report information and HARQ feedback information. For example, the terminal device 110 may determine an index of a first PSFCH resource for HARQ feedback information in the subset 710 based on the equation (4) as described above.
[0133] Then, the terminal device 110 may update PSFCH resources available for multiplexing the first HARQ feedback information and the beam report information in a PSFCH transmission by removing the first PSFCH resource from the available PSFCH resources. For example, the terminal device 110 may determine that an index of a first PSFCH resource for HARQ feedback information in the subset 710 is equal to 5, as shown in Fig. 7D. Then, the terminal device 110 may update PSFCH resources available for multiplexing the HARQ feedback information and the beam report information in a PSFCH transmission by removing the first PSFCH resource with an index of 5 from the subset 710, as shown in Fig. 7E.
[0134] In some embodiments, the remaining PSFCH resources may be reindexed according to an ascending order of the PRB index, then according to an ascending order of the cyclic shift pair index. For example, indexes of the remaining PSFCH resources may be determined as 1, 2, …, 9, as shown in Fig. 7E.
[0135] In turn, the terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource for beam report information in the subset 710 which comprises the remaining PSFCH resources based on at least one of following: a physical layer source ID provided by SCI scheduling beam measurement reference signals associated with the beam report information, an index of a beam associated with one of the beam measurement reference signals, or the number of updated PSFCH resources available for multiplexing the beam report information and HARQ feedback information. Hereinafter, an index of a beam is also referred to as a beam index which is represented by BID.
[0136] For example, the terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource in the subset 710 based on the following:
[0137] where PID represents the physical layer source ID provided by SCI within the sub-channel #12 in slot #n+3 as shown in Fig. 7A, BID represents a beam index, and represents the number of available PSFCH resources in the subset 710.
[0138] In some embodiments, a beam index may be a symbol index of a symbol in a second slot carrying one of the beam measurement reference signals. For example, a symbol index of the symbol #0 in slot #n+3 carrying the beam measurement reference signal is 0. Thus, a beam index associated with the beam measurement reference signal on the symbol #0 in slot #n+3 is 0. For another example, a symbol index of the symbol #3 in slot #n+3 carrying the beam measurement reference signal is 3. Thus, a beam index associated with the beam measurement reference signal on the symbol #3 in slot #n+3 is 3.
[0139] Alternatively, in some embodiments, a beam index may be an index in a set of predefined indexes without zero.
[0140] Alternatively, in some embodiments, contiguous symbols in a slot may carry one of the beam measurement reference signals. In such embodiments, a beam index may be a first symbol index of a starting symbol among the contiguous symbols or a second symbol index of an ending symbol among the contiguous symbols.
[0141] Fig. 7F illustrates another example of details of mapping between transmission of beam measurement reference signals and a PSFCH resource in Fig. 7A. As shown in Fig. 7F, the terminal device 130 may transmit, to a group of terminal devices, beam measurement reference signals without sidelink data within the sub-channel #12 in slot #n+3 by using six different beams.
[0142] Accordingly, the terminal device 110 may receive and measure beam measurement reference signals within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #2, #3 and #4 in slot #n+3 by using beams #1, #2 and #3. The terminal device 120 may receive and measure beam measurement reference signals within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #6, #7, #8 in slot #n+3 by using beams #1, #2 and #3.
[0143] The terminal device 110 may determine beam report information associated with the beam measurement reference signals. The beam report information may indicate measurement results of the beam measurement reference signals. Alternatively, the beam report information may comprise beam failure recovery related report, such as beam failure instance (BFI) , candidate beam identification (CBD) report, and so on. In turn, the terminal device 110 may transmit, on three PSFCH resources in the subset of PSFCH resources 710 in slot #n+5, the beam report information associated with the beam measurement reference signals within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #2, #3 and #4 in slot #n+3. Each of the three beams has one-to-one mapping with one PSFCH resource among the 10 available PSFCH resources in the subset 710.
[0144] The terminal device 110 may determine a beam report index for each of beams for each of terminal devices in a group.
[0145] In some embodiments, beam report indexes for the beams for the terminal devices in the group are first indexed according to an ascending order of indexes of the beams and then according to an ascending order of identities of the terminal devices in the group. For example, in the example of Fig. 7F, beam report indexes for the beams for the terminal device 110 in the group may be beam report indexes 1, 2 and 3 for each pair of (beam#1, member#1) , (beam#2, member#1) , (beam#3, member#1) , where member#1 represents an ID of the terminal device 110 in the group.
[0146] In turn, the terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource for beam report information based on the following: a physical layer source ID provided by SCI scheduling receptions of beam measurement reference signals, the beam report index, and the number of PSFCH resources available for multiplexing the beam report information. For example, the terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource in the subset 710 based on the equation (2) as described with reference to Fig. 6C.
[0147] Alternatively, the terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource for beam report information as the beam report index.
[0148] The examples of Figs. 7A, 7B, 7C, 7D, 7E and 7F may improve resource efficiency. Especially for unicast, only one PSFCH resource will be used by HARQ-ACK information.
[0149] In some embodiments, the set of PSFCH resources comprises a second set of PSFCH resources for conflict information and the beam report information. In other words, a PSFCH transmission with the beam report information shares a set of PSFCH resources for PSFCH transmission with the conflict information. For example, the set of PSFCH resources may comprise a second set of PRBs in a slot for conflict information and the beam report information. In such embodiments, the terminal device 110 may transmit PSFCH with conflict information and PSFCH with beam report information in a same set of PRBs in the resource pool. This will be described with reference to Figs. 8A, 8B, 8C, 8D, 8E and 8F.
[0150] Fig. 8A illustrates an example of mapping between transmission of beam measurement reference signals and a PSFCH resource.
[0151] The terminal device 110 may be provided by sl-PSFCH-RB-Set a set of PRBs in a resource pool for PSFCH transmission with HARQ-ACK information in a PRB of the resource pool. The terminal device 110 can be provided by sl-RB-SetPSFCH a set of PRBs in a resource pool for PSFCH transmission with conflict information and beam report information in a PRB of the resource pool. The terminal device 110 expects that different PRBs are (pre) configured for conflict information along with beam report information and HARQ-ACK information.
[0152] For a number of Nsubch sub-channels for the resource pool, provided by sl-NumSubchannel, and a number of PSSCH slots associated with a PSFCH slot that is less than or equal to the terminal device 110 allocates the PRBs from the PRBs to slot i among the PSSCH slots associated with the PSFCH slot and sub-channel j , where 0≤j<Nsubch, and the allocation starts in an ascending order of i and continues in an ascending order of j . The terminal device 110 expects that is a multiple of
[0153] Then, the terminal device 110 determines a number of PSFCH resources available for multiplexing beam report information and conflict information in a PSFCH transmission as where represents the number of cyclic shift pairs for the resource pool provided by sl-NumMuxCS-Pair and, based on an indication by sl-PSFCH-CandidateResourceType.
[0154] If sl-PSFCH-CandidateResourceType is configured as startSubCH, and the PRBs are associated with the starting sub-channel of the corresponding PSSCH.
[0155] Alternatively, if sl-PSFCH-CandidateResourceType is configured as allocSubCH, and the PRBs are associated with the sub-channels of the corresponding PSSCH.
[0156] The PSFCH resources are first indexed according to an ascending order of the PRB index, from the PRBs, and then according to an ascending order of the cyclic shift pair index from the cyclic shift pairs.
[0157] In the example of Fig. 8A, PSFCH period=4 and K=2, Nsubch =3 and In addition, and Thus,
[0158] The terminal device 110 may receive and measure beam measurement reference signals within at least one of sub-channels #1, #2, …, #12 in slots #n, #n+1, #n+2 and #n+3.
[0159] For example, the terminal device 110 may transmit beam report information associated with beam measurement reference signals within a sub-channel #12 in slot #n+3 on at least one PSFCH resource in a subset of PSFCH resources 810 in slot #n+5. The PSFCH resources in the subset 810 are also referred to as PSFCH resources available for multiplexing beam report information and conflict information in a PSFCH transmission. The number (represented by ) of PSFCH resources in the subset 810 is equal to 10.
[0160] In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may receive the beam measurement reference signals without sidelink data. In other words, transmission of the beam measurement reference signals are standalone transmission. In such embodiments, only beam report information is multiplexed in the PSFCH resources in the subset 810.
[0161] Fig. 8B illustrates an example of details of mapping between transmission of beam measurement reference signals and a PSFCH resource in Fig. 8A. As shown in Fig. 8B, the terminal device 130 may transmit, via unicast, beam measurement reference signals without sidelink data within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #0, #1, #2, #3, #4 and #5 in slot #n+3 by using six different beams. Accordingly, the terminal device 110 may receive and measure beam measurement reference signals within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #0, #1, #2, #3, #4 and #5 in slot #n+3 by using six different beams.
[0162] The terminal device 110 may determine beam report information associated with the beam measurement reference signals. The beam report information may indicate measurement results of the beam measurement reference signals. Alternatively, the beam report information may comprise beam failure recovery related report, such as beam failure instance (BFI) , candidate beam identification (CBD) report, and so on. In turn, the terminal device 110 may transmit, on six PSFCH resources in the subset of PSFCH resources 810 in slot #n+5, the beam report information associated with the beam measurement reference signals within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #0, #1, #2, #3, #4 and #5 in slot #n+3. Each of the six beams has one-to-one mapping with one PSFCH resource among the 10 available PSFCH resources in the subset 810.
[0163] The terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource in the subset 810 based on at least one of following: a physical layer source ID provided by SCI scheduling beam measurement reference signals associated with the beam report information, an index of a beam associated with one of the beam measurement reference signals, or the number of PSFCH resources available for multiplexing the beam report information and conflict information. Hereinafter, an index of a beam is also referred to as a beam index which is represented by BID.
[0164] For example, the terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource in the subset 810 based on the following
[0165] where PID represents the physical layer source ID provided by SCI within the sub-channel #12 in slot #n+3 as shown in Fig. 8A, BID represents a beam index, and represents the number of available PSFCH resources in the subset 810.
[0166] In some embodiments, a beam index may be a symbol index of a symbol in a second slot carrying one of the beam measurement reference signals.
[0167] Alternatively, in some embodiments, a beam index may be an index in a set of predefined indexes.
[0168] Alternatively, in some embodiments, contiguous symbols in a slot may carry one of the beam measurement reference signals. In such embodiments, a beam index may be a first symbol index of a starting symbol among the contiguous symbols or a second symbol index of an ending symbol among the contiguous symbols.
[0169] With the examples of Figs. 8A and 8B, there is one PSFCH resource for beam report information associated with each of the beams.
[0170] Fig. 8C illustrates another example of details of mapping between transmission of beam measurement reference signals and a PSFCH resource in Fig. 8A. As shown in Fig. 8C, the terminal device 130 may transmit, via unicast, beam measurement reference signals with sidelink data within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #1, #2, #3 and #4 in slot #n+3 by using four different beams. Accordingly, the terminal device 110 may receive and measure beam measurement reference signals within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #1, #2, #3 and #4 in slot #n+3 by using four different beams.
[0171] The terminal device 110 may determine beam report information associated with the beam measurement reference signals. The beam report information may indicate measurement results of the beam measurement reference signals. Alternatively, the beam report information may comprise beam failure recovery related report, such as beam failure instance (BFI) , candidate beam identification (CBD) report, and so on. In turn, the terminal device 110 may transmit, on four PSFCH resources in the subset of PSFCH resources 810 in slot #n+5, the beam report information associated with the beam measurement reference signals within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #1, #2, #3 and #4 in slot #n+3. Each of the four beams has one-to-one mapping with one PSFCH resource among the 10 available PSFCH resources in the subset 810.
[0172] The terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource for conflict information in the subset 810 based on at least one of following: a physical layer source ID provided by SCI scheduling beam measurement reference signals associated with the beam report information, a member ID, or the number of PSFCH resources available for multiplexing the beam report information and conflict information. For example, the terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource for conflict information in the subset 810 based on the following:
[0173] where PID represents the physical layer source ID provided by SCI within the sub-channel #12 in slot #n+3 as shown in Fig. 8A, MID represents the member ID and is equal to zero for unicast transmission, and represents the number of available PSFCH resources in the subset 810.
[0174] In addition, the terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource for beam report information in the subset 810 based on at least one of following: a physical layer source ID provided by SCI scheduling beam measurement reference signals associated with the beam report information, an index of a beam associated with one of the beam measurement reference signals, or the number of PSFCH resources available for multiplexing the beam report information and conflict information. Hereinafter, an index of a beam is also referred to as a beam index which is represented by BID.
[0175] For example, the terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource in the subset 810 based on the following:
[0176] where PID represents the physical layer source ID provided by SCI within the sub-channel #12 in slot #n+3 as shown in Fig. 8A, BID represents a beam index, and represents the number of available PSFCH resources in the subset 810.
[0177] In some embodiments, a beam index may be a non-zero symbol index of a symbol in a second slot carrying one of the beam measurement reference signals.
[0178] Alternatively, in some embodiments, a beam index may be an index in a set of predefined indexes without zero.
[0179] Alternatively, in some embodiments, contiguous symbols in a slot may carry one of the beam measurement reference signals. In such embodiments, a beam index may be a first non-zero symbol index of a starting symbol among the contiguous symbols or a second non-zero symbol index of an ending symbol among the contiguous symbols.
[0180] In the example of Fig. 8C, there is no conflict between beam report information and conflict information.
[0181] Figs. 8D and 8E illustrates another example of details of mapping between transmission of beam measurement reference signals and a PSFCH resource in Fig. 8A. As shown in Figs. 8D and 8E, the terminal device 130 may transmit, via unicast, beam measurement reference signals with sidelink data within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #0, #1, #2 and #3 in slot #n+3 by using four different beams. Accordingly, the terminal device 110 may receive and measure beam measurement reference signals within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #0, #1, #2 and #3 in slot #n+3 by using four different beams.
[0182] The terminal device 110 may determine beam report information associated with the beam measurement reference signals. The beam report information may indicate measurement results of the beam measurement reference signals. Alternatively, the beam report information may comprise beam failure recovery related report, such as beam failure instance (BFI) , candidate beam identification (CBD) report, and so on. In turn, the terminal device 110 may transmit, on four PSFCH resources in the subset of PSFCH resources 810 in slot #n+5, the beam report information associated with the beam measurement reference signals within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #0, #1, #2 and #3 in slot #n+3. Each of the four beams has one-to-one mapping with one PSFCH resource among the 10 available PSFCH resources in the subset 810.
[0183] The terminal device 110 may determine an index of a first PSFCH resource for conflict information in the subset 810 based on at least one of following: a physical layer source ID provided by SCI scheduling beam measurement reference signals associated with the beam report information, a member ID, or the number of PSFCH resources available for multiplexing the beam report information and conflict information. For example, the terminal device 110 may determine an index of a first PSFCH resource for conflict information in the subset 810 based on the equation (8) as described above.
[0184] Then, the terminal device 110 may update PSFCH resources available for multiplexing the first conflict information and the beam report information in a PSFCH transmission by removing the first PSFCH resource from the available PSFCH resources. For example, the terminal device 110 may determine that an index of a first PSFCH resource for conflict information in the subset 810 is equal to 5, as shown in Fig. 8D. Then, the terminal device 110 may update PSFCH resources available for multiplexing the conflict information and the beam report information in a PSFCH transmission by removing the first PSFCH resource with an index of 5 from the subset 810, as shown in Fig. 8E.
[0185] In some embodiments, the remaining PSFCH resources may be reindexed according to an ascending order of the PRB index, then according to an ascending order of the cyclic shift pair index. For example, indexes of the remaining PSFCH resources may be determined as 1, 2, …, 9, as shown in Fig. 8E.
[0186] In turn, the terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource for beam report information in the subset 810 which comprises the remaining PSFCH resources based on at least one of following: a physical layer source ID provided by SCI scheduling beam measurement reference signals associated with the beam report information, an index of a beam associated with one of the beam measurement reference signals, or the number of updated PSFCH resources available for multiplexing the beam report information and conflict information. Hereinafter, an index of a beam is also referred to as a beam index which is represented by BID.
[0187] For example, the terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource in the subset 810 based on the following:
[0188] where PID represents the physical layer source ID provided by SCI within the sub-channel #12 in slot #n+3 as shown in Fig. 8A, BID represents a beam index, and represents the number of available PSFCH resources in the subset 810.
[0189] In some embodiments, a beam index may be a symbol index of a symbol in a second slot carrying one of the beam measurement reference signals.
[0190] Alternatively, in some embodiments, a beam index may be an index in a set of predefined indexes without zero.
[0191] Alternatively, in some embodiments, contiguous symbols in a slot may carry one of the beam measurement reference signals. In such embodiments, a beam index may be a first symbol index of a starting symbol among the contiguous symbols or a second symbol index of an ending symbol among the contiguous symbols.
[0192] Fig. 8F illustrates another example of details of mapping between transmission of beam measurement reference signals and a PSFCH resource in Fig. 8A. As shown in Fig. 8F, the terminal device 130 may transmit, to a group of terminal devices, beam measurement reference signals without sidelink data within the sub-channel #12 in slot #n+3 by using six different beams. In addition, the terminal device 130 may transmit, to the terminal device 120, beam measurement reference signals within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #6, #8, #8 in slot #n+3 by using beams #1, #2 and #3.
[0193] Accordingly, the terminal device 110 may receive and measure beam measurement reference signals within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #2, #3 and #4 in slot #n+3 by using beams #1, #2 and #3. The terminal device 120 may receive and measure beam measurement reference signals within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #6, #8, #8 in slot #n+3 by using beams #1, #2 and #3.
[0194] The terminal device 110 may determine beam report information associated with the beam measurement reference signals. The beam report information may indicate measurement results of the beam measurement reference signals. Alternatively, the beam report information may comprise beam failure recovery related report, such as beam failure instance (BFI) , candidate beam identification (CBD) report, and so on. In turn, the terminal device 110 may transmit, on three PSFCH resources in the subset of PSFCH resources 810 in slot #n+5, the beam report information associated with the beam measurement reference signals within the sub-channel #12 on symbols #2, #3 and #4 in slot #n+3. Each of the three beams has one-to-one mapping with one PSFCH resource among the 10 available PSFCH resources in the subset 810.
[0195] The terminal device 110 may determine a beam report index for each of beams for each of terminal devices in a group.
[0196] In some embodiments, beam report indexes for the beams for the terminal devices in the group are first indexed according to an ascending order of indexes of the beams and then according to an ascending order of identities of the terminal devices in the group. For example, in the example of Fig. 8F, beam report indexes for the beams for the terminal device 110 in the group may be beam report indexes 1, 2 and 3 for each pair of (beam#1, member#1) , (beam#2, member#1) , (beam#3, member#1) , where member#1 represents an ID of the terminal device 110 in the group.
[0197] In turn, the terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource for beam report information based on the following: a physical layer source ID provided by SCI scheduling receptions of beam measurement reference signals, the beam report index, and the number of PSFCH resources available for multiplexing the beam report information. For example, the terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource in the subset 810 based on the equation (2) as described with reference to Fig. 6C.
[0198] Alternatively, the terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource for beam report information as the beam report index.
[0199] The examples of Figs. 8A, 8B, 8C, 8D, 8E and 8F may improve resource efficiency. Especially for unicast, only one PSFCH resource will be used by conflict information.
[0200] Similar to the example of Fig. 7C, to avoid conflict with conflict information, if beam report index starts from 1 (not 0) , the terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource for beam report information based on the following
[0201] Alternatively, the terminal device 110 may determine an index of a second PSFCH resource for conflict information in the subset 810 based on at least one of following: a physical layer source ID provided by SCI scheduling beam measurement reference signals associated with the beam report information, a member ID, or the number of PSFCH resources available for multiplexing the beam report information and conflict information. For example, the terminal device 110 may determine the index of the second PSFCH resource for conflict information in the subset 810 based on the equation (4) as described above.
[0202] Then, the terminal device 110 may update PSFCH resources available for multiplexing the conflict information and the beam report information in a PSFCH transmission by removing the second PSFCH resource from the available PSFCH resources. For example, the terminal device 110 may determine that an index of a second PSFCH resource for conflict information in the subset 810 is equal to 5, as shown in Fig. 8F. Then, the terminal device 110 may update PSFCH resources available for multiplexing the conflict information and the beam report information in a PSFCH transmission by removing the second PSFCH resource with an index of 5 from the subset 810, as shown in Fig. 8G.
[0203] In some embodiments, the remaining PSFCH resources may be reindexed according to an ascending order of the PRB index, then according to an ascending order of the cyclic shift pair index. For example, indexes of the remaining PSFCH resources may be determined as 1, 2, …, 9, as shown in Fig. 8G.
[0204] In turn, the terminal device 110 may determine an index of a PSFCH resource for beam report information in the subset 810 which comprises the remaining PSFCH resources based on at least one of following:
[0205] As described above, the set of PSFCH resources may comprise a dedicated set of PSFCH resources for the beam report information or a first set of PSFCH resources for HARQ feedback information and the beam report information. In such embodiments, the beam report information may indicate at least one first beam. Measurements of beam measurement reference signals for the at least one first beam are above a threshold. In other words, the terminal device 110 may only transmit beam report information for at least one good or suggested transmission beam with best CSI-RS measurement result or better than the threshold.
[0206] In such embodiments, the beam report information may comprise at least one first sequence indicating the at least one good or suggested beam. The terminal device 110 may determine a first sequence cyclic shift and determine a first cyclic shift based on the first sequence cyclic shift. For example, the first sequence cyclic shift represented by mcs may be equal to 0, as shown in Table 1.
[0207] Table 1
[0208] Alternatively, the first sequence cyclic shift (mcs) may be equal to 6.
[0209] In turn, the terminal device 110 may determine the at least one first sequence based on the first cyclic shift.
[0210] Alternatively, in some embodiments, the beam report information may indicate at least one first beam and at least one second beam. Measurements of beam measurement reference signals for the at least one first beam are above a threshold, and measurements of beam measurement reference signals for the at least one second beam are below the threshold. In other words, the terminal device 110 may transmit beam report information for all of the measured transmission beams. The terminal device 110 may indicate the poor or not suggested beam (with CSI-RS measurement result worse than the threshold) in addition to the good beam (with CSI-RS measurement result better than the threshold) .
[0211] In such embodiments, the beam report information may comprise at least one first sequence indicating the at least one first beam, and at least one second sequence indicating the at least one second beam. The terminal device 110 may determine a first sequence cyclic shift and a second sequence cyclic shift. For example, the first sequence cyclic shift may be equal to 0 and the second sequence cyclic shift may be equal to 6, as shown in Table 2.
[0212] Table 2
[0213] In such embodiments, the terminal device 110 may determine a first cyclic shift and a second cyclic shift based on the first sequence cyclic shift and the second sequence cyclic shift, respectively. In turn, the terminal device 110 may determine the at least one first sequence and the at least one second sequence based on the first cyclic shift and the second cyclic shift, respectively.
[0214] In some embodiments, the set of PSFCH resources may comprise a dedicated set of PSFCH resources for the beam report information. In such embodiments, the terminal device 110 may only transmit beam report information for the best or suggested transmit beam (with best CSI-RS measurement result) . The terminal device 110 may determine a sequence cyclic shift (mcs) for each CSI-RS transmission for computing a value of a cyclic shift. The terminal device 110 may apply one cyclic shift from a cyclic shift pair to a sequence used for the PSFCH transmission. Each sequence cyclic shift (mcs) from [0, 1, …11] may be used for each different CSI-RS transmission.
[0215] For example, when there are 6 beams, mcs = 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 for each beam or each CSI-RS transmission. If the terminal device 110 determines the third beam is the best, the terminal device 110 transmits a sequence with mcs being equal to 4.
[0216] For another example, when there are 12 beams, mcs = 0, 1, 12 for each beam.
[0217] For another example, when there are 3 beams, mcs = 0, 4, 8 for each beam.
[0218] In some embodiments, the set of PSFCH resources may comprise a second set of PSFCH resources for the conflict information and the beam report information.
[0219] In such embodiments, the beam report information may comprise at least one first sequence indicating the at least one good or suggested beam. The terminal device 110 may determine a first sequence cyclic shift and determine a first cyclic shift based on the first sequence cyclic shift. For example, the first sequence cyclic shift represented by mcs may be equal to 6, as shown in Table 3.
[0220] Table 3
[0221] Alternatively, the first sequence cyclic shift (mcs) may be equal to 0.
[0222] In turn, the terminal device 110 may determine the at least one first sequence based on the first cyclic shift.
[0223] Alternatively, in some embodiments, the beam report information may indicate at least one first beam and at least one second beam.
[0224] In such embodiments, the beam report information may comprise at least one first sequence indicating the at least one first beam, and at least one second sequence indicating the at least one second beam. The terminal device 110 may determine a first sequence cyclic shift and a second sequence cyclic shift. For example, the first sequence cyclic shift may be equal to 0 and the second sequence cyclic shift may be equal to 6, as shown in Table 4.
[0225] Table 4
[0226] In such embodiments, the terminal device 110 may determine a first cyclic shift and a second cyclic shift based on the first sequence cyclic shift and the second sequence cyclic shift, respectively. In turn, the terminal device 110 may determine the at least one first sequence and the at least one second sequence based on the first cyclic shift and the second cyclic shift, respectively.
[0227] In some embodiments, the solution of the present disclosure may be applicable for unlicensed band FR2. In such embodiments, different sets of PRBs for beam report may be configured for each RB set. Beam report information associated with one CSI-RS transmission may be mapped with multiple PSFCH resources located in different RB sets. The PSFCH transmission with beam report information should be within a time window with regard to the CSI-RS transmission timing.
[0228] In some embodiments, after determining at least one resource for PSFCH transmission with beam report information, the terminal device 110 needs to follow the prioritization rule to actually transmit or receive the PSFCH transmission with beam report information.
[0229] Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a solution for sidelink communication. According to the solution, a terminal device determines a first priority for a first PSFCH transmission or reception with beam report information. The first priority is lower than a second priority for a second PSFCH transmission or reception with HARQ feedback information and higher than a third priority for a third PSFCH transmission or reception with conflict information, or the first priority is comparable to the second priority. In turn, the terminal device performs the first PSFCH transmission or reception with the beam report information based on the first priority.
[0230] Fig. 9 illustrates a flowchart of an example method in accordance with some embodiments of the present disclosure. In some embodiments, the method 900 can be implemented at a terminal device, such as one of the terminal device 110, the terminal device 120 and the terminal device 130 as shown in Fig. 1. For the purpose of discussion, the method 900 will be described with reference to Fig. 1 as performed by the terminal device 110 without loss of generality.
[0231] At block 910, the terminal device 110 determines a first priority for a first PSFCH transmission or reception with beam report information.
[0232] In some embodiments, the first priority for the first PSFCH transmission or reception with beam report information is lower than a second priority for a second PSFCH transmission or reception with HARQ feedback information and higher than a third priority for a third PSFCH transmission or reception with conflict information. In other words, the HARQ feedback information is always prioritized over the beam report information and the conflict information, and the beam report information is always prioritized over the conflict information.
[0233] In such embodiments, a priority value for a PSFCH transmission with HARQ feedback information is not comparable to a priority value for a PSFCH transmission with beam report information or a priority value for a PSFCH transmission with conflict information. Similarly, a priority value for a PSFCH transmission with beam report information is not comparable to a priority value for a PSFCH transmission with conflict information.
[0234] For example, even if a priority value for a PSFCH transmission with HARQ feedback information is equal to 2 and a priority value for a PSFCH transmission with beam report information is equal to 1, a priority for the HARQ feedback information is higher than a priority for the beam report information.
[0235] Alternatively, in some embodiments, the first priority for the first PSFCH transmission or reception with beam report information is comparable to the second priority for the second PSFCH transmission or reception with HARQ feedback information. Each of the first priority and the second priority is higher than the third priority. In other words, the HARQ feedback information or the beam report information is always prioritized over the conflict information.
[0236] In such embodiments, a priority value for a PSFCH transmission with HARQ feedback information is comparable to a priority value for a PSFCH transmission with beam report information. The lower of a priority value for a PSFCH transmission or reception, the higher of a priority for the PSFCH transmission or reception. Each of the priority value for a PSFCH transmission with HARQ feedback information and the priority value for a PSFCH transmission with beam report information is not comparable to a priority value for a PSFCH transmission with conflict information.
[0237] For example, if a priority value for a PSFCH transmission with HARQ feedback information is equal to 2 and a priority value for a PSFCH transmission with beam report information is equal to 1, a priority for the PSFCH transmission with beam report information is higher than a priority for the PSFCH transmission with HARQ feedback information.
[0238] For example, even if a priority value for a PSFCH transmission with beam report information is equal to 2 and a priority value for a PSFCH transmission with conflict information is equal to 1, a priority for the PSFCH transmission with beam report information is higher than a priority for the PSFCH transmission with conflict information.
[0239] At block 920, the terminal device 110 performs the first PSFCH transmission or reception with the beam report information based on the first priority.
[0240] In some embodiments, the terminal device 130 may transmit beam measurement reference signals with sidelink data in a slot. In other words, transmission of the beam measurement reference signals may be non-standalone transmission. In addition, the terminal device 130 may transmit SCI in the slot scheduling reception of the sidelink data. Accordingly, the terminal device 110 may receive the beam measurement reference signals with the sidelink data and the SCI in the slot. In such embodiments, the terminal device 110 may determine a first priority value for the first PSFCH transmission or reception with the beam report information to be a priority value indicated by the SCI scheduling reception of sidelink data in the slot. The beam measurement reference signals are associated with the beam report information.
[0241] Alternatively, in some embodiments, the terminal device 130 may transmit beam measurement reference signals without sidelink data in a slot. In other words, transmission of the beam measurement reference signals may be standalone transmission. In addition, the terminal device 130 may transmit SCI in the slot scheduling reception of the beam measurement reference signals. Accordingly, the terminal device 110 may receive the beam measurement reference signals with the SCI in the slot. In such embodiments, the terminal device 110 may determine the first priority value for the first PSFCH transmission or reception with the beam report information to be a priority value indicated by the SCI scheduling reception of the beam measurement reference signals associated with the beam report information.
[0242] Alternatively, in some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may determine the first priority value for the first PSFCH transmission or reception with the beam report information to be a configured or pre-configured priority value.
[0243] In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may determine a priority value for a PSFCH transmission or reception with HARQ feedback information to be equal to the priority value indicated by an SCI format 1-A associated with the PSFCH.
[0244] In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may determine a priority value for a PSFCH transmission with conflict information to be equal to the smallest priority value determined by the corresponding SCI format (s) 1-A for the conflicting resource (s) .
[0245] In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may determine a priority value for a PSFCH reception with conflict information to be equal to the priority value determined by the corresponding SCI format 1-A for the conflicting resource.
[0246] As described above, in some embodiments, the first priority for the first PSFCH transmission or reception with beam report information is lower than the second priority for the second PSFCH transmission or reception with HARQ feedback information and higher than the third priority for a third PSFCH transmission or reception with conflict information. In such embodiments, the terminal device 110 may determine a first number of PSFCH transmissions first with a first ascending order of priority values for a first set of PSFCH transmissions with the HARQ feedback information, and then with a second ascending order of priority values for a second set of PSFCH transmissions with the beam report information, and subsequently with a third ascending order of priority values for a third set of PSFCH transmissions with conflict information. In turn, the terminal device 110 may perform the first number of PSFCH transmissions in a PSFCH transmission occasion. Hereinafter, the first number may be represented by NTX, PSFCH.
[0247] Alternatively, in some embodiments, the first priority for the first PSFCH transmission or reception with beam report information is comparable to the second priority for the second PSFCH transmission or reception with HARQ feedback information. In such embodiments, the terminal device 110 may determine a first number of PSFCH transmissions first with a first ascending order of priority values for a first set of PSFCH transmissions with the HARQ feedback information or the beam report information, and then with a second ascending order of priority values for a second set of PSFCH transmissions with conflict information. In turn, the terminal device 110 may perform the first number of PSFCH transmissions in a PSFCH transmission occasion.
[0248] Consider an example as shown in Table 5.
[0249] Table 5
[0250] In the example of Table 5, the terminal device 110 has a first set of PSFCH transmissions with HARQ feedback information to be transmitted. The first set comprises eight PSFCH transmissions with HARQ feedback information. Priority values for the eight PSFCH transmissions with HARQ feedback information are 1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4 and 4.
[0251] The terminal device 110 also has a second set of PSFCH transmissions with beam report information to be transmitted. The second set comprises five PSFCH transmissions with beam report information. Priority values for the five PSFCH transmissions with beam report information are 1, 1, 2, 2 and 6.
[0252] The terminal device 110 also has a third set of PSFCH transmissions with conflict information to be transmitted. The third set comprises five PSFCH transmissions with conflict information. Priority values for the five PSFCH transmissions with conflict information are 3, 3, 4, 7 and 7.
[0253] However, the terminal device 110 can only transmit ten PSFCH transmissions. That is, the first number (NTX, PSFCH) is equal to ten. Thus, the terminal device 110 needs to determine the ten PSFCH transmissions to transmit.
[0254] In option 1, the terminal device 110 determines ten PSFCH transmissions first with an ascending order of priority values for the first set of PSFCH transmissions with the HARQ feedback information, and then with an ascending order of priority values for the second set of PSFCH transmissions with the beam report information, and subsequently with an ascending order of priority values for the third set of PSFCH transmissions with conflict information. For example, in the example of Table 5, the terminal device 110 first selects the eight PSFCH transmissions with HARQ feedback information and then selects two PSFCH transmissions with beam report information with priority values of 1. Thus, the terminal device 110 determines the selected ten PSFCH transmissions to transmit.
[0255] In option 2, the terminal device 110 determines ten PSFCH transmissions first with an ascending order of priority values for the set of PSFCH transmissions with the HARQ feedback information or the beam report information, and then with an ascending order of priority values for the set of PSFCH transmissions with conflict information. For example, in the example of Table 5, the terminal device 110 first selects one PSFCH transmission with HARQ feedback information with the priority value of 1 and two PSFCH transmissions with beam report information with priority values of 1, then selects two PSFCH transmission with HARQ feedback information with the priority value of 2 and two PSFCH transmissions with beam report information with priority values of 2, then selects two PSFCH transmissions with HARQ feedback information with the priority value of 3, and subsequently selects one PSFCH transmission with HARQ feedback information with the priority value of 4. Thus, the terminal device 110 determines the selected ten PSFCH transmissions to transmit.
[0256] In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may perform the following procedure for sidelink to determine the first number (NTX, PSFCH) of PSFCH transmissions to transmit.
[0257] In some embodiments, there may be simultaneous PSFCH transmission / reception. In such embodiments, if the terminal device 110 determines a first set of PSFCH transmissions overlaps in time with a second set of PSFCH receptions, the terminal device 110 may determine whether the first set of PSFCH transmissions corresponds to a smallest priority value among priority values for the first set of PSFCH transmission and the second set of PSFCH receptions. If the first set of PSFCH transmissions corresponds to the smallest priority value, the terminal device 110 may perform the first set of PSFCH transmissions.
[0258] In such embodiments, if the terminal device 110 determines that none of the first set of PSFCH transmissions and the second set of PSFCH receptions provides the HARQ feedback information, the terminal device 110 may determine whether the first set of PSFCH transmission and the second set of PSFCH receptions provide the beam report information. If the first set of PSFCH transmission and the second set of PSFCH receptions provide the beam report information, the terminal device 110 may determine whether the first set of PSFCH transmissions corresponds to the smallest priority value.
[0259] Alternatively, in some embodiments, if the terminal device 110 determines a first set of PSFCH transmissions overlaps in time with a second set of PSFCH receptions, the terminal device 110 may determine whether the second set of PSFCH transmissions corresponds to a smallest priority value among priority values for the first set of PSFCH transmission and the second set of PSFCH receptions. If the second set of PSFCH receptions corresponds to the smallest priority value, the terminal device 110 may perform the second set of PSFCH receptions.
[0260] In such embodiments, if the terminal device 110 determines that none of the first set of PSFCH transmission and the second set of PSFCH receptions provides the HARQ feedback information, the terminal device 110 may determine whether the first set of PSFCH transmission and the second set of PSFCH receptions provide the beam report information. If the first set of PSFCH transmission and the second set of PSFCH receptions provide the beam report information, the terminal device 110 may determine whether the second set of PSFCH transmissions corresponds to the smallest priority value.
[0261] For example, if the terminal device 110 would transmit Nsch, Tx, PSFCH PSFCHs and receive Nsch, Rx, PSFCH PSFCHs, and transmissions of the Nsch, Tx, PSFCH PSFCHs would overlap in time with receptions of the Nsch, Rx, PSFCH PSFCHs, the terminal device 110 transmits or receives only a set of PSFCHs corresponding to the smallest priority field value, as determined by a first set of SCI format 1-A and / or a second set of SCI format 1-A [5, TS 38.212] that are respectively associated with PSFCHs with HARQ-ACK information from the Nsch, Tx, PSFCH PSFCHs and PSFCHs with HARQ-ACK information from the Nsch, Rx, PSFCH PSFCHs when one or more of the PSFCHs provide HARQ-ACK information. If none of the Nsch, Tx, PSFCH PSFCHs and none of the Nsch, Rx, PSFCH PSFCHs provide HARQ-ACK information, the terminal device 110 transmits or receives only a set of PSFCHs corresponding to the smallest priority value of the first set of PSFCHs and the second set of PSFCHs that are respectively associated with the Nsch, Tx, PSFCH PSFCHs and the Nsch, Rx, PSFCH PSFCHs when the PSFCHs provide beam report information. If none of the Nsch, Tx, PSFCH PSFCHs and none of the Nsch, Rx, PSFCH PSFCHs provide neither HARQ-ACK information nor beam report information, the terminal device 110 transmits or receives only a set of PSFCHs corresponding to the smallest priority value of the first set of PSFCHs and the second set of PSFCHs that are respectively associated with the Nsch, Tx, PSFCH PSFCHs and the Nsch, Rx, PSFCH PSFCHs when the PSFCHs provide conflict information.
[0262] Alternatively, if the terminal device 110 would transmit Nsch, Tx, PSFCH PSFCHs and receive Nsch, Rx, PSFCH PSFCHs, and transmissions of the Nsch, Tx, PSFCH PSFCHs would overlap in time with receptions of the Nsch, Rx, PSFCH PSFCHs, the terminal device 110 transmits or receives only a set of PSFCHs corresponding to the smallest priority field value, as determined by a first set of SCI format 1-A and / or a second set of SCI format 1-A [5, TS 38.212] that are respectively associated with PSFCHs with either HARQ-ACK information or beam report information from the Nsch, Tx, PSFCH PSFCHs and PSFCHs with HARQ-ACK information from the Nsch, Rx, PSFCH PSFCHs when one or more of the PSFCHs provide HARQ-ACK information.
[0263] In some embodiments, if the terminal device 110 would transmit Nsch, Tx, PSFCH PSFCHs in a PSFCH transmission occasion, the terminal device 110 first transmits PSFCHs with HARQ-ACK information from NTx, PSFCH PSFCHs corresponding to the smallest priority field values from the NTx, PSFCH priority field values, if any. Then, the terminal device 110 transmits remaining PSFCHs with beam report information corresponding to the smallest remaining priority field values from the NTx, PSFCH priority field values, if any. Subsequently, the terminal device 110 transmits remaining PSFCHs with conflict information corresponding to the smallest remaining priority field values from the NTx, PSFCH priority field values, if any.
[0264] In some embodiments, if the terminal device 110 would transmit Nsch, Tx, PSFCH PSFCHs in a PSFCH transmission occasion, the terminal device 110 first transmits PSFCHs with either HARQ-ACK information or beam report information from NTx, PSFCH PSFCHs corresponding to the smallest priority field values from the NTx, PSFCH priority field values, if any. Subsequently, the terminal device 110 transmits remaining PSFCHs with conflict information corresponding to the smallest remaining priority field values from the NTx, PSFCH priority field values, if any.
[0265] In some embodiments, if the terminal device 110 indicates a capability to receive NRx, PSFCH PSFCHs in a PSFCH reception occasion [18, TS 38.306] , the terminal device 110 first receives PSFCHs with HARQ-ACK information, if any, then receives PSFCHs with beam report information, if any, and subsequently receives PSFCHs with conflict information, if any.
[0266] In some embodiments, if the terminal device 110 indicates a capability to receive NRx, PSFCH PSFCHs in a PSFCH reception occasion [18, TS 38.306] , the terminal device 110 first receives PSFCHs with either HARQ-ACK information or beam report information, if any, and subsequently receives PSFCHs with conflict information, if any.
[0267] In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may perform prioritization between sidelink (SL) transmissions / receptions and uplink (UL) transmissions.
[0268] In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may determine a priority value for PSFCH transmissions in a slot to be a smallest priority value among priority values for a first set of PSFCH transmissions with the HARQ feedback information, a second set of PSFCH transmissions with the beam report information and a third set of PSFCH transmissions with the conflict information. If the priority value for the PSFCH transmissions in the slot is less than a priority value for an uplink transmission in the slot, the terminal device 110 may perform the PSFCH transmissions in the slot.
[0269] In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may determine a priority value for PSFCH receptions in a slot to be a smallest priority value among priority values for a first set of PSFCH receptions with the HARQ feedback information, a second set of PSFCH receptions with the beam report information and a third set of PSFCH receptions with the conflict information. If the priority value for the PSFCH receptions in the slot is less than a priority value for an uplink reception in the slot, the terminal device 110 may perform the PSFCH receptions in the slot.
[0270] For example, PSFCH transmissions in a slot, as determined in clause 16.2.4.2 of TS 38.213, have a same priority value as the smallest priority value among PSSCH receptions with corresponding HARQ-ACK information provided by the PSFCH transmissions in the slot, if any, and among PSFCH transmissions with conflict information in the slot, if any, and among PSFCH transmissions with beam report information in the slot, if any, where each priority value is equal to the smallest priority value determined by corresponding SCI formats 1-A as described in clause 16.3 of TS 38.213.
[0271] For example, PSFCH receptions in a slot, as determined in clause 16.2.4.2 of TS 38.213, have a same priority value as the smallest priority value among PSSCH transmissions with corresponding HARQ-ACK information provided by the PSFCH receptions in the slot, if any, and among PSFCH receptions with conflict information in the slot, if any, and among PSFCH receptions with beam report information in the slot, if any, where each priority value is equal to the priority value determined by corresponding SCI format 1-A as described in clause 16.3 of TS 38.213.
[0272] In some embodiments, a priority of S-SS / PSBCH block transmission or reception is provided by sl-SSB-PriorityNR.
[0273] In some embodiments, for prioritization between SL transmission or PSFCH / S-SS / PSBCH block reception and UL transmission other than a PRACH, or a PUSCH scheduled by an UL grant in a RAR and its retransmission, or a PUSCH corresponding to Type-2 random access procedure and its retransmission, or a PUCCH with sidelink HARQ-ACK information report:
[0274] - if the UL transmission is for a PUSCH or for a PUCCH with priority index 1,
[0275] - if sl-PriorityThreshold-UL-URLLC is provided
[0276] - the SL transmission or reception has higher priority than the UL transmission if the priority value of the SL transmission or reception is smaller than sl-PriorityThreshold-UL-URLLC; otherwise, the UL transmission has higher priority than the SL transmission or reception
[0277] - else
[0278] - the UL transmission has higher priority than the SL transmission or reception
[0279] - else
[0280] - the SL transmission or reception has higher priority than the UL transmission if the priority value of the SL transmission (s) or reception is smaller than sl-PriorityThreshold; otherwise, the UL transmission has higher priority than the SL transmission or reception.
[0281] In some embodiments, a PRACH transmission, or a PUSCH scheduled by an UL grant in a RAR and its retransmission, or a PUSCH for Type-2 random access procedure and its retransmission, or a PUCCH with HARQ-ACK information in response to successRAR, or a PUCCH indicated by a DCI format 1_0 with CRC scrambled by a corresponding TC-RNTI has higher priority than a SL transmission or reception.
[0282] In some embodiments, a PUCCH transmission with a sidelink HARQ-ACK information report has higher priority than a SL transmission if a priority value of the PUCCH is smaller than a priority value of the SL transmission. The priority value of the PUCCH transmission is as described in clause 16.5. If the priority value of the PUCCH transmission is larger than the priority value of the SL transmission, the SL transmission has higher priority.
[0283] In some embodiments, a PUCCH transmission with a sidelink HARQ-ACK information report has higher priority than a PSFCH / S-SS / PSBCH block reception if a priority value of the PUCCH is smaller than a priority value of the SL reception. If the priority value of the PUCCH transmission is larger than the priority value of the PSFCH / S-SS / PSBCH block reception, the SL reception has higher priority.
[0284] In some embodiments, when one or more SL transmissions from a terminal device 110 overlap in time with multiple non-overlapping UL transmissions from the terminal device 110, the terminal device 110 performs the SL transmissions if at least one SL transmission is prioritized over all UL transmissions subject to the terminal device 110 processing timeline with respect to the first SL transmission and the first UL transmission.
[0285] In some embodiments, when one or more UL transmissions from a terminal device 110 overlap in time with multiple non-overlapping SL transmissions, the terminal device 110 performs the UL transmissions if at least one UL transmission is prioritized over all SL transmissions subject to the terminal device 110 processing timeline with respect to the first SL transmission and the first UL transmission.
[0286] In some embodiments, when one SL transmission overlaps in time with one or more overlapping UL transmissions, the terminal device 110 performs the SL transmission if the SL transmission is prioritized over all UL transmissions subject to both the terminal device 110 multiplexing and processing timelines with respect to the first SL transmission and the first UL transmission, where the terminal device 110 processing timeline with respect to the first SL transmission and the first UL transmission is same as when one or more SL transmissions overlap in time with multiple non-overlapping UL transmissions.
[0287] In some embodiments, when one SL transmission overlaps in time with one or more overlapping UL transmissions, the terminal device 110 performs the UL transmission if at least one UL transmission is prioritized over the SL transmission subject to both the terminal device 110 multiplexing and processing timelines with respect to the first SL transmission and the first UL transmission, where the terminal device 110 processing timeline with respect to the first SL transmission and the first UL transmission is same as when one or more SL transmissions overlap in time with multiple non-overlapping UL transmissions.
