Abstract
Description
A method and related device for reporting channel state information
[0001] This application claims priority to the Chinese patent application filed with the China Patent Office on August 31, 2023, with application number 202311133878.8 and application name “A method and related device for reporting channel state information”, the entire contents of which are incorporated by reference into this application. Technical Field
[0002] The present application relates to the field of wireless communication technology, and in particular to a method and related apparatus for reporting channel state information. Background Art
[0003] 5G communication systems have higher requirements for system capacity, spectrum efficiency, etc. In 5G communication systems, the application of large-scale multi-antenna technology plays a vital role in improving the spectrum efficiency of the system. When using multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technology, the network device needs to precode the data before sending the data to the terminal device. Normally, the network device needs to rely on the channel state information (CSI) of the downlink channel fed back by the terminal device to determine the downlink channel or precoding matrix (also called the full channel matrix) used for channel precoding. Specifically, the CSI reported by the terminal device may include a precoding matrix indicator (PMI). The PMI is determined and reported based on a set of codebooks. The network device can restore the precoding matrix reported by the terminal device based on the PMI and the codebook.
[0004] In order to improve the accuracy of PMI feedback, people have proposed a codebook based on statistical feature subspace for PMI reporting. The codebook uses statistical feature subspace basis and corresponding linear combination coefficients to represent the downlink channel or precoding matrix. The codebook can be similar to the Type II codebook of the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) R16 version, in which the spatial domain and frequency domain are each represented by a set of statistical feature subspace basis through bilinear combination. Alternatively, the codebook can also be a joint spatial domain and frequency domain, represented by a set of linear combination of feature subspace basis of joint spatial and frequency domains. In the existing CSI reporting scheme for precoding matrix reporting, the basis indication information for indicating one or more statistical feature subspace basis selected by the terminal device and the corresponding linear combination coefficients are all completed in one CSI reporting. However, the data volume of the basis indication information of the statistical feature subspace basis is relatively large, which will make the existing CSI reporting scheme for precoding matrix reporting more expensive, which is not conducive to the efficient use of communication resources.
[0005] Summary of the Invention
[0006] In order to solve the above problems, the present application provides a method and related apparatus for reporting channel state information, which can reduce the overhead of CSI reporting and facilitate the efficient use of communication resources.
[0007] The present application is introduced below from multiple aspects. It is easy to understand that the implementation methods of the following multiple aspects can refer to each other.
[0008] In the first aspect, an embodiment of the present application provides a method for reporting channel state information. The method is applicable to a terminal device. The method includes: receiving a first channel state information reference signal CSI-RS from a network device. Sending a first channel state information CSI to the network device. The first CSI is obtained based on the measurement result of the first CSI-RS. The first CSI includes indication information of a first vector set for determining a target precoding matrix, and the first vector set includes a spatial domain vector set and / or a frequency domain vector set, or includes a spatial-frequency joint vector set. Receive a second CSI-RS sent by a network device. The second CSI is obtained based on the measurement result of the second CSI-RS and a second vector set. The second CSI includes a first weighting coefficient corresponding to the second vector set or a subset of the second vector set, the second vector set is the first vector set or a subset of the first vector set, and the first weighting coefficient and the second vector set are used to determine the target precoding matrix.
[0009] In the above implementation, the indication information of the first vector set used to determine the target precoding matrix is reported by the first CSI, and the first weighting coefficient used to determine the target precoding matrix is reported by the second CSI, which is independent of the first CSI. Independently reporting the indication information and weighting coefficient corresponding to the precoding matrix effectively solves the high overhead problem of existing CSI reporting used for precoding matrix or downlink channel reporting, and facilitates efficient use of communication resources in the communication system.
[0010] In combination with the first aspect, in a possible implementation method, when the CSI reporting type corresponding to the first CSI report for reporting the first CSI and the second CSI report for reporting the second CSI is periodic or semi-continuous, the CSI reporting period corresponding to the first CSI report is greater than the CSI reporting period corresponding to the second CSI report.
[0011] Since the first CSI reports information indicating the first vector set, which describes the statistical characteristics of the channel in its domain (e.g., the spatial domain, the frequency domain, or the combined spatial-frequency domain), and changes slowly, frequent reporting is not required. Therefore, in the above implementation, setting the CSI reporting period corresponding to the first CSI report longer can reduce the number of first CSI reports, thereby saving communication resources.
[0012] In combination with the first aspect, in a possible implementation, when the CSI reporting types corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report are both non-periodic, the CSI reporting interval corresponding to the first CSI report may be greater than the CSI reporting interval corresponding to the second CSI report.
[0013] Since the first CSI reports indicate information about the first vector set, which describes the statistical characteristics of the channel in its domain (e.g., the spatial domain, the frequency domain, or the combined spatial-frequency domain), and changes slowly, frequent reporting is not required. Therefore, in the above implementation, setting a larger CSI reporting interval for the first CSI report can also reduce the number of first CSI reports, thereby saving communication resources.
[0014] In combination with the first aspect, in a possible implementation method, the CSI-RS corresponding to the first CSI report and the CSI-RS corresponding to the second CSI report have the same quasi-co-location relationship, or the CSI-RS corresponding to the second CSI report is quasi-co-located with the CSI-RS corresponding to the first CSI report.
[0015] In combination with the first aspect, in a possible implementation manner, the first CSI report and the second CSI report may also satisfy at least one of the following: the reporting contents corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report are different; the CSI reporting types corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report are the same or different; when the CSI reporting types corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report are periodic or semi-continuous, the reporting periods corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report are different, and the starting offsets of the reporting periods corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report may be different or the same; the CSI-RS resource types corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report are different. the same or different; when the CSI-RS resource type corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report is periodic or semi-continuous, the period of the CSI-RS resource corresponding to the first CSI report is the same as or different from the period of the CSI-RS resource corresponding to the second CSI report, and the starting offset of the period of the CSI-RS resource corresponding to the first CSI report is the same as or different from the starting offset of the period of the CSI-RS resource corresponding to the second CSI report; the number of CSI-RS resources corresponding to the above-mentioned first CSI report and the above-mentioned second CSI report is the same or different; the CSI-RS resource mapping corresponding to the above-mentioned first CSI report and the above-mentioned second CSI report is the same or different.
[0016] In the above implementation, some configuration items corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report may be the same or different, which can ensure that the two CSI reports and CSI resource configurations can be more flexible, and can improve the applicability and practicality of the channel state information reporting method provided in this application.
[0017] In conjunction with the first aspect, in one possible implementation, the method further includes: receiving first configuration information from a network device. The first configuration information includes first CSI reporting configuration information and second CSI reporting configuration information associated with the first CSI reporting configuration information. The first CSI reporting configuration information corresponds to a first reporting configuration ID, the second reporting configuration corresponds to a second reporting configuration ID, and the first reporting configuration ID and the second reporting configuration ID are different. The first CSI reporting configuration information and the second reporting configuration are used to configure the first CSI reporting and the second CSI reporting, respectively.
[0018] In the above implementation, two different and related CSI reporting configuration information are used to indicate or configure the above first CSI reporting and second CSI reporting for the terminal device. The method is simple and easy to implement, which can reduce the implementation difficulty of the channel state information reporting method provided in this application.

When the CSI reporting types corresponding to the first CSI reporting and the second CSI reporting are both aperiodic, the aperiodic CSI triggering state list includes a first aperiodic CSI triggering state corresponding to the first CSI reporting configuration information and a second aperiodic triggering state corresponding to the second CSI reporting configuration information. When the CSI reporting type corresponding to the first CSI reporting is aperiodic and the CSI reporting type corresponding to the second CSI reporting is semi-persistent, the semi-persistent CSI triggering state list includes the second semi-persistent CSI triggering state corresponding to the second CSI reporting configuration information, and the aperiodic CSI triggering state list includes the first aperiodic triggering state corresponding to the first CSI reporting configuration information. [0140] The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present application will be described clearly and completely below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings provided in the embodiments of the present application.
[0141] The technical solutions of the embodiments of the present application can be applied to various communication systems, such as: Long Term Evolution (LTE) system, LTE frequency division duplex (FDD) system, LTE time division duplex (TDD), Universal Mobile Telecommunication System (UMTS), Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) communication system, fifth generation (5G) system or new radio (NR). In addition, it can also be applicable to subsequent evolution systems, such as the sixth generation 6G communication system and even the more advanced seventh generation 7G communication system.
[0142] The network device in the embodiment of the present application can be a device for communicating with a terminal device, can be a base station, or an access point, or a network device, or can refer to a device in an access network that communicates with a wireless terminal through one or more sectors on the air interface. The network device can be used to convert received air frames into IP packets and act as a router between the wireless terminal and the rest of the access network, where the rest of the access network may include an Internet Protocol (IP) network. The network device can also coordinate the attribute management of the air interface. For example, the network device can be an evolved NodeB (eNB or eNodeB) in an LTE system, or a wireless controller in a cloud radio access network (CRAN) scenario, or the access device can be a relay station, an access point, an in-vehicle device, a wearable device, an access device in a 5G network, or a network device in a future evolved PLMN network, etc. It can be an access point (AP) in a WLAN, or a gNB in a new radio (NR) system. The embodiment of the present application is not limited. It should be noted that for the 5G system, there may be one or more transmission reception points (Transmission Reception Point, TRP) under one base station, and all TRPs belong to the same cell, wherein each TRP and terminal can use the measurement reporting method described in the embodiment of the present application. In another scenario, the network device can also be divided into a control unit (Control Unit, CU) and a data unit (Data Unit, DU). Under one CU, there may be multiple DUs, wherein each DU and terminal can use the measurement reporting method described in the embodiment of the present application. The difference between the CU-DU separation scenario and the multi-TRP scenario is that the TRP is just a radio frequency unit or an antenna device, and the protocol stack function can be implemented in the DU, for example, the physical layer function can be implemented in the DU.
[0143] In addition, in the embodiments of the present application, a network device is a device in a radio access network (RAN), or in other words, a RAN node that connects a terminal device to a wireless network. For example, as an example and not a limitation, examples of network devices include: gNB, transmission reception point (TRP), evolved Node B (eNB), radio network controller (RNC), Node B (NB), base station controller (BSC), base transceiver station (BTS), home base station (e.g., home evolved Node B, or home Node B, HNB), base band unit (BBU), or wireless fidelity (Wifi) access point (AP).
[0144] The network equipment provides services for the cell, and the terminal device communicates with the network equipment through the transmission resources used by the cell (for example, frequency domain resources, or spectrum resources). The cell can be the cell corresponding to the network equipment (for example, a base station). The cell can belong to a macro base station or a base station corresponding to a small cell. The small cells here can include: metro cells, micro cells, pico cells, femto cells, etc. These small cells have the characteristics of small coverage and low transmission power, and are suitable for providing high-speed data transmission services.
[0145] The terminal device in the embodiments of the present application may also be referred to as: user equipment (UE), mobile station (MS), mobile terminal (MT), access terminal, user unit, user station, mobile station, mobile station, remote station, remote terminal, mobile device, user terminal, terminal, wireless communication equipment, user agent or user device, etc.
[0146] The terminal device may be a device that provides voice / data connectivity to users, such as a handheld device or vehicle-mounted device with wireless connection function. At present, some examples of terminals are: mobile phones, tablet computers, laptop computers, PDAs, mobile internet devices (MIDs), wearable devices, virtual reality (VR) devices, augmented reality (AR) devices, wireless terminals in industrial control, wireless terminals in self-driving, wireless terminals in remote medical surgery, wireless terminals in smart grids, wireless terminals in transportation safety, wireless terminals in smart cities, wireless terminals in smart homes, cellular phones, cordless phones, session initiation protocol (SIP) phones, wireless local loop (WLL) stations, personal digital assistants (PDAs), handheld devices with wireless communication capabilities, computing devices or other processing devices connected to wireless modems, vehicle-mounted devices, wearable devices, terminal devices in 5G networks or future evolved public land mobile communication networks (PLMNs). The terminal equipment in the network (PLMN), etc., is not limited to this in the embodiments of the present application.
[0147] As an example and not a limitation, in the embodiments of the present application, wearable devices may also be referred to as wearable smart devices, which are a general term for wearable devices that are intelligently designed and developed using wearable technology for daily wear, such as glasses, gloves, watches, clothing, and shoes. A wearable device is a portable device that is worn directly on the body or integrated into the user's clothes or accessories. Wearable devices are not just hardware devices, but also achieve powerful functions through software support, data interaction, and cloud interaction. Broadly speaking, wearable smart devices include those that are fully functional, large in size, and can achieve complete or partial functions without relying on smartphones, such as smart watches or smart glasses, as well as those that only focus on a certain type of application function and need to be used in conjunction with other devices such as smartphones, such as various smart bracelets and smart jewelry for vital sign monitoring.
[0148] In addition, in the embodiment of the present application, the terminal device can also be a terminal device in the Internet of Things (IoT) system. IoT is an important part of the future development of information technology. Its main technical feature is to connect objects to the network through communication technology, thereby realizing an intelligent network of human-machine interconnection and object-to-object interconnection.
[0149] The various terminal devices introduced above, if located on a vehicle (eg, placed in or installed in a vehicle), can be considered as vehicle-mounted terminal devices, which are also called on-board units (OBUs).
[0150] In the embodiment of the present application, the terminal device may further include a relay. Alternatively, it can be understood that anything that can communicate data with a base station can be considered a terminal device.
[0151] Please refer to Figure 1, which is a structural diagram of a communication system provided by the present application. Figure 1 includes a network device 110, a terminal device 120, a terminal device 130, a terminal device 140, a terminal device 150, a terminal device 160 and a terminal device 170. Among them, the network device 110 works in an evolved universal mobile telecommunications system terrestrial radio access (E-UTRA) system, or works in an NR system, or works in a next-generation communication system or other communication systems. The network device 110 and the terminal devices 120 to 170 can communicate through the Uu interface, and the network device 110 and the terminal devices 120 to 170 form a communication system. In this communication system, the terminal devices 120 to 170 can send uplink data to the network device 110, the network device 110 needs to receive the uplink data sent by the terminal devices 120 to 170, and the network device 110 can send downlink data to the terminal devices 120 to 170. In addition, the terminal devices 150 to 170 may also form a communication system in which the network device may send downlink information to the terminal device 150 , and the terminal device 150 may also send downlink information to the terminal devices 160 and 170 .
[0152] In this application, one network device can serve multiple terminal devices, and FIG1 only takes some of the terminal devices as an example.
[0153] The network device in Figure 1 is, for example, a base station. The network device corresponds to different devices in different systems. For example, in a 4G system, it may correspond to an eNB, and in a 5G system, it may correspond to a 5G network device, such as a gNB. The technical solutions provided in the embodiments of the present application may also be applied to future mobile communication systems. Therefore, the network device in Figure 1 may also correspond to a network device in a future mobile communication system. Figure 1 takes a base station as an example. In fact, referring to the above description, the network device may also be an RSU or other device.
[0154] Please refer to Figure 2, which is a schematic diagram of the structure of another communication system provided by this application. As shown in Figure 2, multiple network devices (network device 210, network device 220, and network device 230) and multiple terminal devices (terminal device 240, terminal device 250, and terminal device 260) form a communication system, and multiple network devices simultaneously serve one terminal device. For example, network device 210, network device 220, and network device 230 simultaneously serve terminal device 250.
[0155] The network device in Figure 1 or Figure 2 is, for example, a base station. The network device corresponds to different devices in different systems. For example, in a 4G system, it may correspond to an eNB, and in a 5G system, it may correspond to a 5G network device, such as a gNB. The technical solution provided in this application can also be applied to future mobile communication systems. Therefore, the network device in Figure 1 can also correspond to a network device in a future mobile communication system. Figure 1 or Figure 2 takes the network device as an example of a base station. In fact, referring to the above description, the network device can also be an RSU or other device.
[0156] It should be understood that the communication system shown in FIG1 or FIG2 may further include more network nodes, such as other terminal devices or network devices, and the network devices or terminal devices included in the communication system shown in FIG1 or FIG2 may be the various forms of network devices or terminal devices described above. The embodiments of the present application are not shown one by one in the figures.
[0157] 5G communication systems have higher requirements for system capacity and spectral efficiency. The application of Massive MIMO (Massive Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) technology in 5G communication systems plays a crucial role in improving the system's spectral efficiency. When using MIMO technology, network equipment must precode data before sending it to end devices. The precoding method relies on channel state information (CSI) fed back by user equipment to the network equipment.
[0158] In a TDD system, since the uplink channel and the downlink channel use the same frequency band, they are reciprocal. Network equipment can use the reciprocity of the channel to obtain the CSI of the downlink channel through the uplink channel, and then perform precoding. In an FDD system, since the interval between the uplink and downlink frequency bands is greater than the bandwidth, there is no complete reciprocity between the uplink and downlink channels. In the FDD system, the terminal device is required to feed back the CSI of the downlink channel to the network device. Please refer to Figure 3, which is a flow chart of the feedback method of the CSI of the existing downlink channel or precoding matrix of the present application. As shown in Figure 3, the method may include the following steps:
[0159] S310 , the network device sends channel measurement configuration information to the terminal device. The channel measurement configuration information is used to configure the time and behavior of the terminal device to perform channel measurement.
[0160] S320: The network device sends a channel measurement pilot for channel measurement to the terminal device. Here, the pilot can be understood as a reference signal (RS).
[0161] S330: The terminal device performs measurement based on the channel measurement pilot sent by the network device, calculates the final CSI feedback amount based on the measurement result, and feeds back the CSI to the network device.
[0162] S340: The network device sends data according to the CSI fed back by the terminal device.
[0163] CSI may include parameters such as PMI, channel rank indicator (RI), and channel quality indicator (CQI). For example, the network device may determine the precoding of data transmitted to the terminal device based on the PMI fed back by the terminal device; the network device may determine the number of streams for data transmission to the terminal device based on the RI fed back by the terminal device; and the network device may determine the modulation order and channel coding code rate for data transmission to the terminal device based on the CQI fed back by the terminal device.
[0164] In actual implementation, PMI is determined and reported based on a set of codebooks to indicate the precoding matrix, and the network device recovers the precoding matrix based on the PMI and the codebook. The precoding matrix can be a precoding matrix determined by the network device based on the channel matrix of each frequency domain unit. For example, the precoding matrix can be obtained by performing singular value decomposition (SVD) on the channel matrix or the covariance matrix of the channel matrix, or by performing eigenvalue decomposition (EVD) on the covariance matrix of the channel matrix. The precoding matrix contains the channel information of the transmitting end of the network device. The design of the FDD CSI codebook is a basic and important issue in the 5G communication system.
[0165] The 3GPP R15 Type II codebook uses spatial (angle domain) compression. This exploits the angular sparsity of the channel, where multipath signals have strong energy in certain angular directions and weak energy in other directions. Spatial discrete Fourier transform (DFT) basis vectors are used to represent these angular directions with strong energy, and the precoding matrix is represented by a linear combination of several spatial DFT basis vectors. The 3GPP R16 Type II codebook proposes a dual-domain compression approach. Building on the R15 codebook, it leverages the frequency domain correlation of the amplitude and phase coefficients of different subbands to add frequency domain (delay domain) compression. Channel information is compressed and fed back in both the spatial and frequency domains, and the precoding matrix is approximated by the weighted sum of space-frequency component matrices. This space-frequency component matrix is constructed from one or more spatial basis vectors compressed in the spatial domain and one or more frequency basis vectors compressed in the frequency domain.
[0166] To fully leverage the channel sparsity in both the spatial and frequency domains and improve the accuracy of PMI feedback, a statistical characteristic subspace codebook can be used for feedback. This codebook uses statistical characteristic subspace basis and corresponding linear combination coefficients to represent the downlink channel or precoding matrix. This codebook can be similar to the R16 Type II codebook, where both the spatial and frequency domains are represented using a set of DFT basis through a bilinear combination. Furthermore, this codebook can be a joint spatial and frequency domain, represented using a linear combination of a set of joint spatial and frequency characteristic subspace basis. A statistical characteristic subspace basis is an eigenvector or set of vectors that can be used to represent the statistical variation of the channel in the spatial, frequency, or joint spatial and frequency domains. It is typically obtained by performing eigenvalue decomposition on the channel's statistical covariance matrix. The joint spatial and frequency domain is a combination of the spatial and frequency domains. Generally speaking, signals propagate along multiple paths, leaving the transmitter at different angles and arriving at the receiver at different angles after varying delays. The spatial domain primarily describes the angular and directional characteristics of the channel, while the frequency domain primarily describes the delay distribution of the channel. Both consider the channel from a single dimension. The joint space-frequency domain considers the combination of space domain and frequency domain, mainly describing the angular direction and delay distribution characteristics of multipath.
[0167] In the examples of the present application, the statistical characteristic subspace basis used to represent the statistical variation law of the channel in the spatial domain can also be understood as a spatial basis, a spatial basis vector or a spatial vector set. The statistical characteristic subspace basis used to represent the statistical variation law of the channel in the frequency domain can also be called a frequency domain basis, a frequency domain basis vector or a frequency domain vector set. The statistical characteristic subspace basis used to represent the statistical variation law of the channel in the joint space-frequency domain can also be called a space-frequency joint basis, a space-frequency joint basis vector or a space-frequency joint vector set.
[0168] In existing CSI reporting schemes for precoding matrix reporting, the basis indication information for indicating one or more statistical characteristic subspace basis(es) and / or one or more DFT basis(es) selected by the terminal device, as well as the corresponding linear combination coefficients, are all included in a single CSI report. However, the basis indication information is relatively large in data size, which results in high overhead in existing CSI reporting schemes for precoding matrix reporting, hindering the efficient use of communication resources.
[0169] Therefore, the technical problem to be solved by the present application is: how to reduce the overhead of the CSI reporting scheme used for precoding matrix or downlink channel reporting, so as to ensure efficient use of communication resources.
[0170] To solve the above technical problems, the present application provides a method for reporting channel state information. In the method for reporting channel state information provided in the present application, the indication information for indicating a set of vectors representing a precoding matrix, and the indication information and the set of vectors used together to determine the weighting coefficients of the precoding matrix are reported by two independent CSIs, and the two independent CSIs correspond to different channel state information reference signals (CSI reference signals, CSI-RS). By independently reporting the indication information of the basis and the weighting coefficients, the overhead of CSI reporting is effectively reduced, thereby ensuring that the communication resources of the communication system can be reasonably used.
[0171] It should be understood that in the embodiments of the present application, reporting the precoding matrix via CSI can be understood as reporting the downlink precoding matrix via CSI, and can also be understood as reporting the downlink full channel matrix via CSI. For ease of explanation, the embodiments of the present application will be uniformly described using the expression "reporting the precoding matrix via CSI."
[0172] Please refer to Figure 4, which is a flow chart of a method for reporting channel state information provided by the present application. It should be understood that in the embodiment of the present application, the method for reporting channel state information provided by the present application is illustrated by taking the network device and the terminal device as the method execution. This is an example and not a limitation. The execution subject of the method for reporting channel state information provided by the present application may also be a chip, chip system, or processor applied to the terminal device and the network device, etc., and the present application does not impose specific restrictions on this. In addition, in the method for reporting channel state information provided by the present application, the precoding matrix is represented by a set of statistical characteristic subspace basis and / or a set of DFT basis and linear combination coefficients. Here, a set of statistical characteristic subspace basis can be understood as a vector set, and the basis it contains is at least one vector contained in this vector set. For ease of understanding, the example of the present application will be illustrated by taking the case where the precoding matrix is represented by a set of statistical characteristic subspace basis as an example. As shown in Figure 4, the method for reporting channel state information provided by the present application may include the following steps:
[0173] S410: The network device sends a first channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) to the terminal device. Correspondingly, the terminal device receives the first CSI-RS from the network device.
[0174] In some feasible implementations, the network device can generate a first channel state information reference information CSI-RS and send the first CSI-RS to the terminal device on the corresponding time domain resources. Correspondingly, the terminal device will also receive the first CSI-RS from the network device on the time-frequency resources. Among them, the first CSI-RS is mainly used for the terminal device to feedback the first CSI. It should be understood that in actual implementation, the network device will send the corresponding CSI reporting configuration information (i.e., CSI-ReportConfig) to the terminal device, and the terminal device can perform CSI reporting based on the CSI reporting configuration information to send the above-mentioned first CSI. This CSI reporting configuration information contains the configuration information of the first CSI-RS. The time-frequency resource for transmitting the first CSI-RS is indicated by the configuration information of the first CSI-RS.
[0175] S411: The terminal device determines first channel state information CSI including indication information of a first vector set based on a measurement result of a first CSI-RS.
[0176] In some feasible implementations, after the network device sends a first CSI-RS to the terminal device, the terminal device may measure a downlink channel according to the first CSI-RS and determine first CSI based on the measurement result of the first CSI-RS. The first CSI may include indication information of a first vector set, and the first vector set may be used to determine a target precoding matrix.
[0177] For example, the terminal device may determine a first vector set that can be used to represent the target precoding matrix based on the measurement result of the first CSI-RS. Thereafter, the terminal device may generate a first CSI including indication information of the first vector set.
[0178] It should be understood that the above-mentioned first vector set is a set of statistical characteristic subspace bases that can be used to characterize the target precoding matrix.
[0179] In the embodiment of the present application, the target precoding matrix satisfies the following formula: dl =W×C(1)
[0180] Among them, H dl is the target precoding matrix, W is a set of statistical characteristic subspace basis used to characterize the target precoding matrix, that is, the first vector set mentioned above. C is a linear combination coefficient or weighting coefficient used to characterize the target precoding matrix. Optionally, C can be a weighting coefficient obtained by projecting the target precoding matrix onto the first vector set. It should be understood that the weighting coefficient C is also a matrix, which corresponds to at least one coefficient corresponding to at least one vector in the first vector set.
[0181] Furthermore, the first vector set may include at least one of a space-domain vector set and a frequency-domain vector set, or may include a space-frequency joint vector set.
[0182] In a first optional implementation, the target precoding matrix can be determined by a set of space-frequency joint vectors and corresponding weighting coefficients. In this case, the first set of vectors can include a set of space-frequency joint vectors. Here, the set of space-frequency joint vectors is a set of space-frequency joint statistical characteristic subspace bases. In actual implementation, since the space-frequency joint statistical characteristic subspace describes the statistical characteristics of the downlink channel in the space-frequency joint domain, considering overhead and other issues, it can be determined by a set of basis vectors (for convenience, the term "first basis vector set" will be used below) and a set of weighting coefficients (for convenience, the term "second weighting coefficient" will be used below).
[0183] Exemplarily, in this implementation, the target precoding matrix may satisfy the following formula: dl =W1×C1=B1×C2×C1(2)
[0184] Among them, W1 is the above-mentioned space-frequency joint vector set, C1 is the target precoding matrix H dl The weighting coefficient C2 is obtained by projecting or projecting the joint space-frequency vector set W1 onto the first basis vector set B1. Alternatively, the second weighting coefficient C2 and the first basis vector set B1 are used by the network device to determine the joint space-frequency vector set W1.
[0185] In the case where the first vector set includes a space-frequency joint vector set, the indication information of the first vector set can be used to indicate the first basis vector set B1 and the second weighting coefficient C2. The first basis vector set B1 and the second weighting coefficient C2 can be used by the network device to determine the space-frequency joint vector set W1. In a specific implementation, the indication information of the first vector set can be directly composed of the first basis vector set B1 and the second weighting coefficient C2, or the indication information of the first vector set can also be indication information that can be used to indicate the first basis vector set B1 and the second weighting coefficient C2.
[0186] In a second optional implementation, the target precoding matrix can be determined by a set of spatial domain vectors, a set of frequency domain vectors, and corresponding weighting coefficients. In this case, the first set of vectors can include a set of spatial domain vectors and a set of frequency domain vectors. It should be understood that the set of spatial domain vectors is a set of spatial statistical feature subspace basis, and the set of frequency domain vectors is a set of frequency statistical feature subspace basis. In this case, the target precoding matrix can be determined by this set of spatial statistical feature subspace basis, this set of frequency statistical feature subspace basis, and corresponding weighting coefficients. Similarly, considering overhead and other issues, the set of spatial domain vectors can be determined by a set of basis vectors (for ease of distinction, referred to as the second basis vector set below) and a set of weighting coefficients (for ease of distinction, referred to as the third weighting coefficient below). The set of frequency domain vectors can also be determined by a set of basis vectors (for ease of distinction, referred to as the third basis vector set below) and a set of weighting coefficients (for ease of distinction, referred to as the fourth weighting coefficient below).
[0187] Exemplarily, in this implementation, the target precoding matrix may satisfy the following formula: dl =W2×C1×W3H=B2×C3×C1×(C4×B3) H (3)
[0188] Among them, W2 is the above-mentioned spatial domain vector set, W3 is the above-mentioned frequency domain vector set, and C1 is the weighting coefficient obtained by projecting or projecting the target precoding matrix onto the spatial domain vector set W2 and the frequency domain vector set W3. C3 is the third weighting coefficient obtained by projecting or projecting the spatial domain vector set W2 onto the second basis vector set B2, or in other words, the second basis vector set B2 and the third weighting coefficient C3 can be used by the network device to determine the above-mentioned spatial domain vector set. C4 is the fourth weighting coefficient obtained by projecting or projecting the frequency domain vector set W3 onto the third basis vector set B3, or in other words, the third basis vector set B3 and the fourth weighting coefficient C4 can be used by the network device to determine the above-mentioned frequency domain vector set. It should be understood that in the embodiment of the present application, (X) H This is the conjugate transposed matrix of the matrix X. As mentioned above (C4×B3) H , which is the conjugate transposed matrix of the matrix C4×B3.
[0189] In the case where the first vector set includes a spatial domain vector set and a frequency domain vector set, the indication information of the first vector set may be used to indicate the second basis vector set B2, the third weighting coefficient C3, the third basis vector set B3, and the fourth weighting coefficient C4. In a specific implementation, the indication information of the first vector set may be directly composed of the second basis vector set B2, the third weighting coefficient C3, the third basis vector set B3, and the fourth weighting coefficient C4, or the indication information of the first vector set may also be indication information that can be used to indicate the second basis vector set B2, the third weighting coefficient C3, the third basis vector set B3, and the fourth weighting coefficient C4.
[0190] In a third optional implementation, the target precoding matrix can be determined by a set of spatial domain vectors, a set of frequency domain vectors represented by a fourth set of basis vectors, and corresponding weighting coefficients. It should be understood that the set of spatial domain vectors is a set of spatial statistical feature subspace bases, and the set of frequency domain vectors is a set of basis vectors. Similarly, considering overhead and other issues, the aforementioned set of spatial domain vectors can still be determined using a second set of basis vectors and a third weighting coefficient.
[0191] Exemplarily, in this implementation, the target precoding matrix may satisfy the following formula: dl =W2×C1×W3=B2×C3×C1×B4 H (4)
[0192] Where W2 is the aforementioned spatial vector set, W3 is the aforementioned frequency vector set, and C1 is the weighting coefficient obtained by projecting the target precoding matrix onto the spatial vector set W2 and the frequency vector set W3. C3 is the third weighting coefficient obtained by projecting the spatial vector set W2 onto the second basis vector set B2. In other words, the second basis vector set B2 and the third weighting coefficient C3 can be used by the network device to determine the aforementioned spatial vector set. The frequency vector set W3 is the fourth basis vector set B4.
[0193] Optionally, in this implementation, the first CSI may report only the spatial vector set W2. In this case, the first vector set may include only the spatial vector set W2. In this case, the indication information of the first vector set may be used to indicate the second basis vector set B2 and the third weighting coefficient C3.
[0194] Optionally, in this implementation, the first CSI may report a spatial vector set W2 and a frequency domain vector set W3 represented by a fourth basis vector set B4. In this case, the first vector set may include the spatial vector set W2 and the fourth basis vector set B4. In this case, the indication information of the first vector set may be used to indicate the second basis vector set B2, the third weighting coefficient C3, and the fourth basis vector set B4.
[0195] In a fourth optional implementation, the target precoding matrix may be determined by a set of frequency-domain vectors, a set of spatial-domain vectors represented by a fifth set of basis vectors, and corresponding weighting coefficients. It should be understood that the set of frequency-domain vectors is a set of frequency-domain statistical feature subspace bases, and the set of spatial-domain vectors is a set of basis vectors. Similarly, considering overhead and other issues, the frequency-domain vector set can still be determined using a third set of basis vectors and a fourth weighting coefficient.
[0196] Exemplarily, in this implementation, the target precoding matrix may satisfy the following formula: d1 =W2×C1×W3=B5×C1×(C4×B3) H (5)
[0197] W2 is the aforementioned spatial domain vector set, W3 is the aforementioned frequency domain vector set, and C1 is the weighting coefficient obtained by projecting or projecting the target precoding matrix onto the spatial domain vector set W2 and the frequency domain vector set W3. C4 is the fourth weighting coefficient obtained by projecting or projecting the frequency domain vector set W3 onto the third basis vector set B3. In other words, the third basis vector set B3 and the fourth weighting coefficient C4 can be used by the network device to determine the aforementioned frequency domain vector set W3. The spatial domain vector set W2 is the fifth basis vector set B5.
[0198] Optionally, in this implementation, the first CSI may report only the frequency domain vector set W3. In this case, the first vector set may include only the frequency domain vector set W3. In this case, the indication information of the first vector set may be used to indicate the third basis vector set B3 and the fourth weighting coefficient C4.
[0199] Optionally, in this implementation, the first CSI may report the frequency domain vector set W3 and the spatial domain vector set W2 represented by the fifth basis vector set B5. In this case, the first vector set may include the spatial domain vector set W2 and the fourth basis vector set B4. In this case, the indication information of the first vector set may be used to indicate the third basis vector set B3, the fourth weighting coefficient C4, and the fifth basis vector set B5.
[0200] It should be noted that the basis vector set involved in this application (such as the first basis vector set B1, the second basis vector set B2, etc. mentioned above) contains at least one basis vector, and this at least one basis vector is well known to the network device and the terminal device. A basis vector set can also be called a set of well-known bases. Optionally, the basis vector set involved in this application can be a discrete Fourier transform (DFT) vector set or an oversampled DFT vector set. It should be understood that the basis vector set provided in this application can also be a vector set of other types, and this application does not impose any specific restrictions on this.
[0201] S412: The terminal device sends the first CSI to the network device. Correspondingly, the network device receives the first CSI from the terminal device.
[0202] In some feasible implementations, after determining the first CSI, the terminal device may send the first CSI to the network device. Specifically, the terminal device may send the first CSI to the network device based on the first CSI reporting configured by the network device. Accordingly, the network device may receive the first CSI from the terminal device.
[0203] It should be noted that in the channel state information reporting method provided in the present application, the network device will configure two different CSI reports for the terminal device, and these two different CSI reports will correspond to two different CSI reporting configuration information (i.e., CSI-ReportConfig). One CSI report can be used for the terminal device to send the above-mentioned first CSI to the network device. For ease of understanding, this CSI report is expressed as the first CSI report. It should be understood that the first CSI report provided in the present application is mainly used for the terminal device to report a vector set that can be used to characterize the precoding matrix to the network device. Each time the terminal device completes the first CSI report, it reports a vector set to the network device, and this vector set can be used by the network device to recover a precoding matrix. Taking the above-mentioned first CSI as an example, the terminal device sends the above-mentioned first CSI to the network device through a first CSI report, thereby completing the report on the first vector set.
[0204] Another type of CSI reporting can be used by the terminal device to send a second CSI to the network device. For ease of understanding, this type of CSI reporting is referred to as a second CSI reporting. This second CSI reporting will be further explained later.
[0205] It should also be noted that the specific behavior of the first CSI report (reporting method, reporting time, etc.) can be determined by the CSI reporting configuration information corresponding to the first CSI report, and the terminal device can complete each first CSI report according to the CSI reporting configuration information corresponding to the first CSI report.
[0206] S413: The network device sends a second CSI-RS to the terminal device. Correspondingly, the terminal device receives the second CSI-RS from the network device.
[0207] In some feasible implementations, the network device may generate a second CSI-RS and send the second CSI-RS to the terminal device on the corresponding time domain resources. Correspondingly, the terminal device will also receive the second CSI-RS from the network device on the time-frequency resources. The second CSI-RS can be used for the terminal device to feedback the second CSI. It should be understood that the second CSI-RS is a different CSI-RS from the first CSI-RS mentioned above. The second CSI-RS is mainly used for the terminal device to complete the second CSI report, and the first CSI-RS mentioned above is mainly used for the terminal device to complete the first CSI report. The time-frequency resource for transmitting the second CSI-RS is indicated by the configuration information of the second CSI-RS.
[0208] It should be understood that in actual implementation, step S413 can be executed after step S412 or before step S412. This application does not impose any specific restrictions on the execution sequence of step S412 and step S413. The drawings of this application uniformly illustrate step S413 as being executed after step S412.
[0209] S414: The terminal device determines a second CSI based on the measurement result of the second CSI-RS and the second vector set.
[0210] In some feasible implementations, the terminal device may determine the second CSI based on the measurement results of the second CSI-RS and the second vector set. The second vector set is the full set or a subset of the first vector set. In other words, the second vector set includes all or part of the vectors of the first vector set. The second CSI may include the first weighting coefficient corresponding to the second vector set, or the second CSI may include the first weighting coefficient corresponding to a subset of the second vector set. The first weighting coefficient and the second vector set can be used by the network device to determine the target precoding matrix.
[0211] The specific content of the second CSI will be described in detail below in combination with two scenarios: the second vector set is the full set of the first vector set and the second vector set is a subset of the first vector set.
[0212] Scenario 1: The second vector set is the complete set of the first vector set
[0213] When the second vector set is the full set of the first vector set, the terminal device can determine whether the second CSI corresponds to the full set of the second vector set or a subset of the second vector set based on the measurement result of the second CSI-RS and the above-mentioned first vector set.
[0214] In the first case, if the terminal device determines that the second CSI corresponds to the full set of the second vector set, then the first weighting coefficient is the weighting coefficient C1 obtained by projecting or projecting the target precoding matrix onto the first vector set.
[0215] Optionally, when the first vector set includes the space-frequency joint vector set W1, the first weighting coefficient is a weighting coefficient C1 obtained by projecting or projecting the target precoding matrix onto the space-frequency joint vector set W1.
[0216] Optionally, when the first vector set includes a spatial domain vector set W2 and a frequency domain vector set W3, the first weighting coefficient is a weighting coefficient C1 obtained by projecting or projecting the target precoding matrix onto the spatial domain vector set W2 and the frequency domain vector set W3.
[0217] Optionally, when the first vector set includes the spatial domain vector set W2 and the frequency domain vector set W3 is represented by the fourth basis vector set B4, the first weighting coefficient is the weighting coefficient C1 obtained by projecting or projecting the target precoding matrix onto the spatial domain vector set W2 and the fourth basis vector set B4.
[0218] Furthermore, when the first CSI does not report the fourth basis vector set B4, the second CSI may further include indication information corresponding to the fourth basis vector set B4.
[0219] Optionally, when the first vector set includes the frequency domain vector set W3 and the spatial domain vector set W2 is represented by the fifth basis vector set B5, the first weighting coefficient is the weighting coefficient C1 obtained by projecting or projecting the target precoding matrix onto the frequency domain vector set W3 and the fifth basis vector set B5.
[0220] Furthermore, when the first CSI does not report the fifth basis vector set B5, the second CSI may further include indication information corresponding to the fifth basis vector set B5.
[0221] In the second case, if the terminal device determines that the second CSI corresponds to a subset of the second vector set, the first weighting coefficient is a partial coefficient C in the weighting coefficient C1 obtained by projecting or projecting the target precoding matrix on the first vector set. 11 It should be understood that the coefficient C 11The corresponding partial vectors in the first vector set are all vectors included in the subset of the second vector set. The so-called second CSI corresponds to the subset of the second vector set, that is, the second CSI determined by the terminal device includes the first weighting coefficients corresponding to the partial vectors in the second vector set. For example, assuming that the second vector set determined by the terminal device includes 20 vectors, and the second CSI only includes the first weighting coefficients corresponding to 10 of the 20 vectors, it can be considered that the second CSI corresponds to the subset of the second vector set.
[0222] Furthermore, in the case where the second CSI includes a first weighting coefficient corresponding to a subset of the second vector set, the above-mentioned second CSI may also include indication information of the subset of the second vector set, and the indication information of the subset of the second vector set is used to indicate the subset of the second vector set from the second vector set.
[0223] Optionally, when the first vector set includes the space-frequency joint vector set W1, the second vector set is the space-frequency joint vector set W1. The terminal device can obtain the weight coefficient C1 obtained by projecting or projecting the target precoding matrix on the space-frequency joint vector set W1, and use part of the weight coefficient C 11 Determine the first weighting coefficient corresponding to the subset of the second vector set. 11 The corresponding partial vectors in the space-frequency joint vector set W1 are all vectors included in the subset of the second vector set.
[0224] Furthermore, the second CSI may further include indication information of a subset of the second vector set, where the indication information is used to indicate the subset of the second vector set from the space-frequency joint vector set W1.
[0225] Optionally, when the first vector set includes the spatial domain vector set W2 and the frequency domain vector set W3, the second vector set may include the spatial domain vector set W2 and the frequency domain vector set W3. The first weighting coefficient is a portion of the weighting coefficients C in the weighting coefficients C1 obtained by projecting or projecting the target precoding matrix onto the spatial domain vector set W2 and the frequency domain vector set W3. 12 Among them, the partial weight coefficient C 12 The corresponding partial vector in the spatial vector set W2 is the subset W of the spatial vector set W2 21 , partial weighting coefficient C 12 The corresponding partial vector in the frequency domain vector set W3 is the subset W of the frequency domain vector set W3. 31 .
[0226] Furthermore, the second CSI may further include indication information of a subset of the second vector set, where the indication information is used to indicate the subset W of the space domain vector set W2 from the space-frequency joint vector set W2. 21 , and for indicating a subset W of the frequency domain vector set W3 from the above frequency domain vector set W3 31 .
[0227] Optionally, when the first vector set includes W2 and the frequency domain vector set W3, the second vector set may include the spatial domain vector set W2 and the frequency domain vector set W3. The first weighting coefficient is a portion of the weighting coefficients C in the weighting coefficients C1 obtained by projecting or projecting the target precoding matrix onto the spatial domain vector set W2 and the frequency domain vector set W3. 13 Among them, the partial weight coefficient C 13 The corresponding partial vector in the spatial vector set W2 is the subset W of the spatial vector set W2 21 , partial weighting coefficient C 13 Corresponding to all vectors in the frequency domain vector set W3.
[0228] Furthermore, the second CSI may further include indication information of a subset of the second vector set, where the indication information is used to indicate the frequency domain vector set W3 and to indicate a subset W of the space domain vector set W2 from the space-frequency joint vector set W2. 21 .
[0229] Optionally, when the first vector set includes W2 and the frequency domain vector set W3, the second vector set may include the spatial domain vector set W2 and the frequency domain vector set W3. The first weighting coefficient is a portion of the weighting coefficients C in the weighting coefficients C1 obtained by projecting or projecting the target precoding matrix onto the spatial domain vector set W2 and the frequency domain vector set W3. 14 Among them, the partial weight coefficient C 14 Corresponding to all vectors in the spatial vector set W2, some weighted coefficients C 14 The corresponding partial vector in the frequency domain vector set W3 is the subset W of the frequency domain vector set W3. 31 .
[0230] Furthermore, the second CSI may further include indication information of a subset of the second vector set, where the indication information is used to indicate the space-frequency joint vector set W2, and to indicate the subset W in the frequency domain vector set W3. 31 .
[0231] Optionally, when the first vector set includes the spatial vector set W2 and the frequency domain vector set W3 is represented by the fourth basis vector set B4, the second vector set may include the spatial vector set W2. The first weighting coefficient is a portion of the weighting coefficients C in the weighting coefficients C1 obtained by projecting or projecting the target precoding matrix onto the spatial vector set W2 and the fourth basis vector set B4. 15 , where the weighted coefficient C 15 The corresponding partial vector in the spatial vector set W2 is the subset W of the spatial vector set W2 21 , partial weighting coefficient C 15 The corresponding partial vectors in the fourth basic vector set B4 are the subset B of the fourth basic vector set B4. 41 .
[0232] Furthermore, the second CSI may further include indication information of a subset of the second vector set, where the indication information is used to indicate the subset W of the space domain vector set W2 from the space-frequency joint vector set W2. 21 .
[0233] Furthermore, the second CSI may also include a subset B of the fourth basis vector set B4. 41 The indication information is used to indicate the above subset B from the fourth basis vector set B4. 41 .
[0234] Optionally, when the first vector set includes the frequency domain vector set W3 and the spatial domain vector set W2 is represented by the fifth basis vector set B5, the second vector set may include the frequency domain vector set W3. The first weighting coefficient is a portion of the weighting coefficients C in the weighting coefficients C1 obtained by projecting or projecting the target precoding matrix onto the fifth basis vector set B5 and the frequency domain vector set W3. 16 , where the weighted coefficient C 16 The corresponding partial vector in the frequency domain vector set W3 is the subset W of the frequency domain vector set W3. 31 , partial weighting coefficient C 16 The corresponding partial vectors in the fifth basic vector set B5 are the subset B of the fifth basic vector set B4. 41 .
[0235] Furthermore, the second CSI may further include indication information of a subset of the second vector set, where the indication information is used to indicate the subset W of the frequency domain vector set W3 from the frequency domain vector set W3. 31 .
[0236] Furthermore, the second CSI may also include a subset B of the fifth basis vector set B5. 51The indication information is used to indicate the subset B of the fifth basis vector set B5 from the fifth basis vector set B5. 51 .
[0237] Scenario 2: The second vector is a subset of the first vector set
[0238] When the second vector set is a subset of the first vector set, the terminal device can determine whether the second CSI corresponds to the full set or a subset of the second vector set based on the measurement result of the second CSI-RS and the above-mentioned first vector set.
[0239] In the first case, if the terminal device determines that the second CSI corresponds to the full set of the second vector set, then the first weighting coefficient is the weighting coefficient C5 obtained by projecting or projecting the target precoding matrix onto a subset of the first vector set.
[0240] Optionally, when the first vector set includes the space-frequency joint vector set W1, the first weighting coefficient is a weighting coefficient C5 obtained by projecting or projecting the target precoding matrix onto a subset of the space-frequency joint vector set W1.
[0241] Optionally, when the first vector set includes a spatial domain vector set W2 and a frequency domain vector set W3, the first weighting coefficient is a weighting coefficient C5 obtained by projecting or projecting the target precoding matrix onto a subset of the spatial domain vector set W2 and a subset of the frequency domain vector set W3.
[0242] Optionally, when the first vector set includes the spatial domain vector set W2 and the frequency domain vector set W3 is represented by the fourth basis vector set B4, the first weighting coefficient is the weighting coefficient C5 obtained by projecting or projecting the target precoding matrix onto a subset of the spatial domain vector set W2 and a subset of the fourth basis vector set B4.
[0243] Furthermore, when the first CSI does not report the fourth basis vector set B4, the second CSI may further include indication information corresponding to the fourth basis vector set B4.
[0244] Optionally, when the first vector set includes the frequency domain vector set W3 and the spatial domain vector set W2 is represented by the fifth basis vector set B5, the first weighting coefficient is the weighting coefficient C1 obtained by projecting or projecting the target precoding matrix onto a subset of the frequency domain vector set W3 and a subset of the fifth basis vector set B5.
[0245] Furthermore, when the first CSI does not report the fifth basis vector set B5, the second CSI may further include indication information corresponding to the fifth basis vector set B5.
[0246] In the second case, if the terminal device determines that the second CSI corresponds to a subset of the second vector set, then the first weighting coefficient is a partial coefficient C in the weighting coefficient C5 obtained by projecting or projecting the target precoding matrix on the subset of the first vector set. 51 It should be understood that the coefficient C 51 The corresponding partial vectors in the subset of the first vector set are all the vectors included in the subset of the second vector set.
[0247] Furthermore, in the case where the second CSI includes a first weighting coefficient corresponding to a subset of the second vector set, the above-mentioned second CSI may also include indication information of the subset of the second vector set, and the indication information of the subset of the second vector set is used to indicate the subset of the second vector set from the second vector set (in this case, a subset of the first vector set).
[0248] Optionally, when the first vector set includes the space-frequency joint vector set W1, the second vector set is a subset of the space-frequency joint vector set W1. The terminal device may obtain a weighting coefficient C5 obtained by projecting or projecting the target precoding matrix onto the subset of the space-frequency joint vector set W1, and use part of the weighting coefficients C 51 Determine the first weighting coefficient corresponding to the subset of the second vector set. 51 The corresponding partial vectors in the subset of the space-frequency joint vector set W1 are all the vectors included in the subset of the second vector set.
[0249] Furthermore, the second CSI may further include indication information of a subset of the second vector set, where the indication information is used to indicate the subset of the second vector set from the subset of the space-frequency joint vector set W1.
[0250] Optionally, when the first vector set includes a spatial domain vector set W2 and a frequency domain vector set W3, the second vector set may include a subset of the spatial domain vector set W2 and a subset of the frequency domain vector set W3. The first weighting coefficient is a portion of the weighting coefficients C5 obtained by projecting or projecting the target precoding matrix onto the subset of the spatial domain vector set W2 and the subset of the frequency domain vector set W3. 52 Among them, the partial weight coefficient C 52 The corresponding partial vectors and partial weighting coefficients C in the subset of the spatial vector set W2 12 The corresponding partial vectors in the subset of the frequency domain vector set W3 are all the vectors included in the subset of the second vector set.
[0251] Furthermore, the second CSI may also include indication information of a subset of the second vector set, where the indication information is used to indicate a subset of the second vector set from the subset of the spatial domain vector set W2 and the subset of the frequency domain vector set W3.
[0252] Optionally, when the first vector set includes the spatial vector set W2, and the frequency domain vector set W3 is represented by the fourth basis vector set B4, the subset of the second vector set may include a subset of the spatial vector set W2. The above-mentioned first weighting coefficient is a part of the weighting coefficients C5 obtained by projecting or projecting the target precoding matrix onto the subset of the spatial vector set W2 and the subset of the fourth basis vector set B4. 53 , where the weighted coefficient C 53 The corresponding partial vector in the subset of the spatial vector set W2 and the weighted coefficient C of this part 53 The corresponding partial vectors in the subset of the fourth basic vector set B4 are all the vectors included in the subset of the second vector set.
[0253] Furthermore, the second CSI may also include indication information of a subset of the second vector set, where the indication information is used to indicate a subset of the second vector set from a subset of the spatial vector set W2 and a subset of the fourth basic vector set B4.
[0254] Optionally, when the first vector set includes the frequency domain vector set W3 and the spatial domain vector set W2 is represented by the fifth basis vector set B5, the second vector set may include a subset of the frequency domain vector set W3. The above-mentioned first weighting coefficient is a part of the weighting coefficients C5 obtained by projecting or projecting the target precoding matrix onto the subset of the fifth basis vector set B5 and the subset of the frequency domain vector set W3. 54 , where the weighted coefficient C 54 The corresponding partial vectors in the subset of the frequency domain vector set W3 and the corresponding partial vectors in the subset of the fifth basic vector set B5 are all the vectors included in the subset of the second vector set.
[0255] Furthermore, the second CSI may also include indication information of the subset of the second vector set, where the indication information is used to indicate the subset of the second vector set from the subset of the frequency domain vector set W3 and the subset of the fifth basic vector set B5.
[0256] In some optional implementations, if the terminal device determines that the time-frequency resources of the first CSI-RS partially or completely overlap with the time-frequency resources of the second CSI-RS, the measurement result of the first CSI-RS may be determined as the measurement result of the second CSI-RS. In other words, if the terminal device determines that the time-frequency resources of the first CSI-RS partially or completely overlap with the time-frequency resources of the second CSI-RS, the terminal device may determine the second CSI based on the measurement result of the first CSI-RS and the second vector set.
[0257] When the time-frequency resources of the first CSI-RS partially or completely overlap with the time-frequency resources of the second CSI-RS, the terminal device may be unable to receive the second CSI-RS. By adopting the above implementation method, the terminal device can still determine the second CSI even if it cannot receive the second CSI-RS, thereby ensuring the reliability of the second CSI reporting.
[0258] In some feasible implementations, since the terminal device and the network device will complete multiple first CSI reports and multiple second CSI reports, and the vector set used for each second CSI report is determined by the vector set indicated by a certain first CSI report. As mentioned above, the second vector set used by the second CSI is determined by the first vector set indicated by the first CSI. Therefore, each time the terminal device completes the second CSI report, it is necessary to first determine which vector set indicated by the first CSI report the current second CSI report is based on. That is to say, before the terminal device generates the above-mentioned second CSI, and after the network device receives the above-mentioned second CSI, it must determine the above-mentioned first CSI, and further determine the second vector set used to calculate the second CSI based on the first vector set indicated by the first CSI.
[0259] In addition, in actual implementation, the above-mentioned first CSI can be sent in a time-division multiple reporting manner. This is because the overhead of the indication information of the first vector set contained in the first CSI is relatively large, and the use of time-division multiple reporting can overcome this defect. Please refer to Figure 5, which is a schematic diagram of time-division multiple reporting of CSI provided by this application. As shown in Figure 5, the above-mentioned first CSI is sent in a time-division multiple reporting manner. It can be understood that the first CSI corresponds to the N1 consecutive CSI reports completed by the terminal device before the reporting moment of the second CSI, and these N1 CSI reports correspond to a complete first CSI report. That is to say, after determining the above-mentioned first vector set, the terminal device can decompose the first vector set into N1 sub-vector sets. Then, the terminal device can perform N1 CSI reports (for the sake of convenience, it will be expressed as sub-first CSI reporting in the following text). Each sub-first CSI report in these N1 sub-first CSI reports is used to report the indication information corresponding to a sub-vector set in the above-mentioned N1 sub-vector sets. The indication information of the N1 sub-vector sets corresponding to these N1 sub-first CSI reports constitutes the indication information contained in the first CSI for indicating the first vector set.
[0260] It should be understood that in the embodiments of the present application, the reporting time of CSI refers to the time corresponding to the time domain resource in which the CSI is transmitted. For example, if the second CSI is transmitted by the terminal device in time slot i, the reporting time of the second CSI is the time corresponding to time slot i.
[0261] Of course, the first CSI can also be reported in a non-time-sharing manner. In the embodiment of the present application, the first CSI is reported in a non-time-sharing manner, which can be understood as a first CSI report completed by the terminal device corresponding to the first CSI before the reporting time of the second CSI. In this case, the CSI sent by the terminal device in this first CSI report includes all indication information corresponding to the first vector set.
[0262] The following describes in detail a process in which the terminal device and the network device determine the first CSI and the second vector set used to determine the second CSI, taking the terminal device as an example.
[0263] In an optional implementation, when the terminal device sends the first CSI in a non-time-sharing reporting manner, the above-mentioned second vector set is equivalent to the first vector set, or in other words, the second vector set is the full set of the first vector set. The above-mentioned first CSI corresponds to a target first CSI report completed by the terminal device before the reporting time of the second CSI. In addition, the target first CSI report is an effective CSI report, and the reporting time of the first CSI (which can also be understood as the reporting time corresponding to the target first CSI report) is closest to the reporting time of the second CSI and the interval is greater than the first duration.
[0264] For example, please refer to Figure 6, which is a CSI reporting timing diagram provided by this application. As shown in Figure 6, it is assumed that before the reporting time t1 of the second CSI, the terminal device has completed three first CSI reports, namely the first CSI report A1, the first CSI report A2, and the first CSI report A3. Since the time interval between the reporting time of the first CSI report A3 and the reporting time t1 of the second CSI is less than the first duration, the first CSI report A3 is not the target first CSI report corresponding to the first CSI. In the first CSI report A2 and the first CSI report A3, the reporting time corresponding to the first CSI report A2 is closest to the reporting time t1 of the second CSI, and the time interval dt1 between the reporting time corresponding to the first CSI report A2 and the reporting time t1 of the second CSI is also greater than the first duration. If the terminal device further determines that the first CSI report A2 is an effective CSI report, the terminal device can determine that the first CSI report A2 is the target first CSI report, and the CSI reported based on the first CSI report A2 is the first CSI mentioned above. Furthermore, the terminal device can determine that the vector set indicated by the indication information included in the CSI reported based on the first CSI report A2 is the second vector set mentioned above.
[0265] In another optional implementation, when the terminal device sends the first CSI in a time-sharing reporting manner, the second vector set can be the full set of the first vector set. The first CSI corresponds to the N1 consecutive sub-first CSI reports completed by the terminal device before the reporting time of the second CSI, and these N1 sub-first CSI reports correspond to a complete first CSI report. These N1 sub-first CSI reports are all effective CSI reports. The reporting time of the CSI corresponding to the last completed sub-first CSI report in these N1 sub-first CSI reports is closest to the reporting time of the second CSI and the interval is greater than the first duration. Wherein, N1 is a positive integer greater than or equal to 2.
[0266] For example, please refer to Figure 7, which is another CSI reporting timing diagram provided by the present application. As shown in Figure 7, it is assumed that before the reporting time t1 of the second CSI, the terminal device has completed two complete first CSI reports, namely the first CSI report E1 and the first CSI report E2, and the first CSI report E1 and the first CSI report E2 are both composed of N1 sub-first CSI reports. Since the time interval between the CSI reporting time corresponding to the last completed sub-first CSI report in the first CSI report E1 and the reporting time t1 of the second CSI is less than the first duration, the terminal device can determine that the first CSI report E1 is not a complete first CSI report associated with the second CSI report corresponding to the second CSI. Further, the terminal device can determine that the time interval dt2 between the CSI reporting time t3 corresponding to the last completed sub-first CSI report in the first CSI report E2 and the reporting time t1 of the second CSI is greater than the first duration, and the time t3 is closest to the reporting time t1 of the second CSI. If the terminal device can also determine that the first CSI report E2 is an effective CSI report (that is, the terminal device confirms that the N1 sub-first CSI reports corresponding to the first CSI report E2 are all effective CSI reports), then it can be determined that the first CSI report E2 is a complete first CSI report associated with the second CSI report corresponding to the second CSI, the CSI reported by the first CSI report E2 is the above-mentioned first CSI, and the indication information contained in the CSI reported by the first CSI report E2 indicates the above-mentioned first vector set. Further, the terminal device can determine that the vector set indicated by the indication information contained in the CSI reported by the first CSI report E2 is the above-mentioned second vector set.
[0267] In another optional implementation, when the terminal device sends the first CSI in a time-sharing reporting manner, the second vector set may be a subset of the first vector set. That is, the second CSI only uses part of the vectors of the ground body vector set indicated by the first CSI. The first CSI corresponds to the N1 consecutive sub-first CSI reports completed by the terminal device before the reporting time of the second CSI. The above-mentioned second vector set is indicated by the indication information contained in the N2 target CSIs corresponding to the N2 target CSI reports in the N1 sub-CSI reports. The above-mentioned N2 target CSI reports are all effective CSI reports. The reporting times corresponding to the above-mentioned N2 target CSI reports are all before the reporting time of the second CSI. The reporting time of the CSI corresponding to the last completed target CSI report in the above-mentioned N2 target CSI reports is closest to the reporting time of the second CSI and the interval is greater than the first duration. Among them, N1 is a positive integer greater than or equal to 2, and N2 is a positive integer less than or equal to N1.
[0268] For example, please refer to Figure 8, which is another CSI reporting timing diagram provided by the present application. As shown in Figure 8, it is assumed that before the reporting time t1 of the second CSI, the terminal device has completed two complete first CSI reports, namely the first CSI report E3 and the first CSI report E4, and the first CSI report E3 and the first CSI report E4 are both composed of 4 sub-first CSI reports. Since the CSI reporting time corresponding to the last completed sub-first CSI report in the first CSI report E4 is not closest to the reporting time t1 of the second CSI, the terminal device can determine that the first CSI report E4 is not a complete first CSI report associated with the second CSI report corresponding to the second CSI. Further, the terminal device can determine that the CSI reporting time t3 corresponding to the last completed sub-first CSI report in the first CSI report E3 is closest to the reporting time t1 of the second CSI, then it can be determined that the first CSI report E3 is a complete first CSI report associated with the second CSI report corresponding to the second CSI. Furthermore, since the time interval between the reporting time of the last sub-first CSI report of the four sub-first CSI reports included in the first CSI report E3 and the reporting time t1 of the second CSI is less than the first duration, and the time interval dt3 between the reporting time t4 of the second-to-last sub-first CSI report included in the first CSI report E3 and the reporting time t1 of the second CSI is greater than the first duration, if the terminal device further determines that the first three sub-first CSI reports of the four sub-first CSI reports included in the above-mentioned first CSI report E4 are all valid CSI reports, it can be determined that the first CSI report E4 is a complete first CSI report associated with the second CSI report corresponding to the second CSI, and the first three sub-first CSI reports in the first CSI report E4 are all target CSI reports. Furthermore, the terminal device can determine the above-mentioned second vector set by the three sub-vector sets indicated by the three CSIs corresponding to the first three sub-first CSI reports in the first CSI report E4.
[0269] Optionally, the above-mentioned effective CSI report refers to the CSI report in which the terminal device completes the reporting and receives the corresponding data new transmission indication information sent by the network device. Alternatively, the effective CSI refers to the CSI report in which the terminal device does not receive the corresponding data retransmission indication information sent by the network device within the second time period after completing the reporting. It should be understood that the effective CSI report can also be expressed as "effective CSI report".
[0270] Optionally, the first duration may be the interval between the first moment and the reporting moment of the second CSI. Here, the first moment is the moment corresponding to the reference resource of the second CSI reporting corresponding to the second CSI.
[0271] Alternatively, the first duration may be the interval between the second moment and the second CSI reporting moment. Here, the second moment is the moment corresponding to the CSI-RS corresponding to the second CSI reporting closest to the first moment, and the second moment is before the first moment, wherein the first moment is the moment corresponding to the reference resource of the second CSI reporting corresponding to the second CSI.
[0272] It should be noted that, in actual implementation, for each CSI report (such as the first CSI report and the second CSI report mentioned above), the corresponding CSI-RS is determined by setting a fixed time, and the CSI measurement result is reported based on the corresponding CSI-RS. Specifically, the new radio (NR) defines a CSI reference resource, which represents the time-frequency resources in several time slots before the time slot where the CSI report is located. The terminal device receives the measurement signal before the CSI reference resource, and reports the CSI measurement result at the time domain position of the CSI report indicated by the network device. Then the terminal device needs to complete the calculation of the CSI measurement result within the interval between the time domain position of the CSI reference resource and the time domain position of the CSI report (that is, the time used to calculate the CSI measurement result). Among them, the time domain position of the CSI report can refer to the time slot in which the terminal device reports (sends) the CSI to the network device. Or the time domain position of the CSI report can also include the subframe in which the CSI is reported, and the specific symbol in the time slot in which the CSI is reported.
[0273] S415: The terminal device sends the second CSI to the network device. Correspondingly, the network device receives the second CSI from the terminal device.
[0274] In some feasible implementations, after determining the second CSI, the terminal device may send the second CSI to the network device. Specifically, the terminal device may send the second CSI to the network device based on the second CSI reporting configured by the network device. Accordingly, the network device may receive the second CSI from the terminal device.
[0275] Furthermore, after receiving the first CSI and the second CSI, the network device may determine a target precoding matrix based on the first vector set indicated by the first CSI and the first weighting coefficient indicated by the second CSI.
[0276] It should be noted that the second CSI report provided in the present application is mainly used for the terminal device to report the weighted coefficients corresponding to the vector set that can be used to characterize the precoding matrix to the network device. Each time the terminal device completes the second CSI report, it reports the weighted coefficients corresponding to a vector set to the network device, and this weighted coefficient can be used by the network device to recover a precoding matrix based on the vector set reported by the first CSI. Taking the above-mentioned first CSI and second CSI as an example, the terminal device sends the above-mentioned first CSI to the network device through a first CSI report, thereby completing the report for the first vector set, and the terminal device sends the above-mentioned second CSI to the network device through a second CSI report, thereby completing the report of the first weighted coefficient associated with the first vector set. The network device can recover the target precoding matrix by combining the first vector set reported by the first CSI and the first weighted coefficient reported by the second CSI.
[0277] It should also be noted that the specific behavior of the second CSI reporting (reporting method, reporting time, etc.) can be determined by the CSI reporting configuration information corresponding to the second CSI reporting, and the terminal device can complete each second CSI reporting according to the CSI reporting configuration information corresponding to the second CSI reporting.
[0278] In some feasible implementations, please refer to Figure 9, which is another flow chart of a method for reporting channel state information provided by this application. As shown in Figure 9, the method for reporting channel state information may also include the following steps:
[0279] S416: The network device sends the first configuration information or the second configuration information to the terminal device. Correspondingly, the terminal device receives the first configuration information or the second configuration information from the network device.
[0280] In some feasible implementations, the network device may generate first configuration information or second configuration information corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report, and send the first configuration information or the second configuration information to the terminal device. Correspondingly, the terminal device may receive the first configuration information or the second configuration information from the network device.
[0281] In an optional implementation, when first configuration information is sent, the first configuration information may include first CSI reporting configuration information and second CSI reporting configuration information associated with the first CSI reporting configuration information. The first CSI reporting configuration information corresponds to a first reporting configuration ID (i.e., CSI-ReportConfigId), and the second reporting configuration corresponds to a second reporting configuration ID, and the first reporting configuration ID and the second reporting configuration ID are different. The first CSI reporting configuration information is used to indicate or configure the first CSI reporting, and the second CSI reporting configuration information is used to configure or indicate the second CSI reporting.
[0282] In the above implementation, two different and related CSI reporting configuration information are used to indicate or configure the above first CSI reporting and second CSI reporting for the terminal device. The method is simple and easy to implement, which can reduce the implementation difficulty of the channel state information reporting method provided in this application.
[0283] Optionally, the association between the first CSI reporting configuration information and the second CSI reporting configuration information may be indicated by setting an association identifier in each of the first CSI reporting configuration information and the second CSI reporting configuration information. For example, the first CSI reporting configuration information may include an association identifier for indicating the second reporting configuration ID, and the second CSI reporting configuration information may include an association identifier for indicating the first reporting configuration ID.
[0284] Optionally, the association identifier may be set only in the second CSI reporting configuration information to indicate that the second CSI reporting configuration information is associated with the first CSI reporting configuration information. For example, the association identifier used to indicate the first reporting configuration ID may be included only in the second CSI reporting configuration information.
[0285] It should be understood that other implementation methods may also be used to indicate that the first CSI reporting configuration information is associated with the second CSI reporting configuration information, and this application does not impose any specific limitation on this.
[0286] In a second optional implementation, when second configuration information is sent, the second configuration information may include first sub-CSI reporting configuration information and second sub-CSI reporting configuration information. The first sub-CSI reporting configuration information indicates a first CSI report, and the second sub-CSI reporting configuration information indicates a second CSI report. The first sub-CSI reporting configuration information and the second sub-CSI reporting configuration information correspond to a third CSI reporting configuration ID, which is the CSI reporting configuration ID corresponding to the second configuration information.
[0287] In the above implementation, the communication resources of the communication system can be saved by using one CSI reporting configuration information to indicate or configure the first CSI reporting and the second CSI reporting for the terminal device.
[0288] It should be understood that the CSI reporting type (ie, reportConfigType) of the first CSI reporting provided in this application can be periodic, aperiodic, or semi-persistent. Similarly, the reporting type of the second CSI reporting provided in this application can also be periodic, aperiodic, or semi-persistent.
[0289] In an optional implementation, when the CSI reporting types corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report are both periodic or semi-continuous, the CSI reporting period corresponding to the first CSI report may be greater than the CSI reporting period corresponding to the second CSI report.
[0290] Since the first CSI reports information indicating the first vector set, which describes the statistical characteristics of the channel in its domain (e.g., the spatial domain, the frequency domain, or the combined spatial-frequency domain), and changes slowly, frequent reporting is not required. Therefore, in the above implementation, setting the CSI reporting period corresponding to the first CSI report longer can reduce the number of first CSI reports, thereby saving communication resources.
[0291] In another optional implementation, when the CSI reporting types corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report are both non-periodic, the CSI reporting interval corresponding to the first CSI report may be greater than the CSI reporting interval corresponding to the second CSI report. It should be understood that in the embodiment of the present application, the CSI reporting interval corresponding to the CSI report refers to the time interval between the terminal device completing two CSI reports. For example, the terminal device completes a first CSI report at time t1, also completes a first CSI report at time t2, and completes another first CSI report at time t3. The difference between time t1 and time t2 is a CSI reporting interval of the first CSI report, and the difference between time t2 and time t3 is another CSI reporting interval of the first CSI report. It should be understood that one CSI report may correspond to multiple CSI reporting intervals, and the corresponding multiple CSI reporting intervals may be partially the same. Based on this, the CSI reporting interval corresponding to the first CSI reporting is greater than the CSI reporting interval corresponding to the second CSI reporting. It can be understood that some or all of all CSI reporting intervals corresponding to the first CSI reporting are greater than all CSI reporting intervals corresponding to the second CSI reporting.
[0292] Since the first CSI reports indicate information about the first vector set, which describes the statistical characteristics of the channel in its domain (e.g., the spatial domain, the frequency domain, or the combined spatial-frequency domain), and changes slowly, frequent reporting is not required. Therefore, in the above implementation, setting a larger CSI reporting interval for the first CSI report can also reduce the number of first CSI reports, thereby saving communication resources.
[0293] Furthermore, the CSI-RS corresponding to the first CSI report (including the first CSI-RS described above) and the CSI-RS corresponding to the second CSI report (including the second CSI-RS described above) have the same quasi-co-location relationship. Alternatively, the CSI-RS corresponding to the second CSI report may be quasi-co-located with the CSI-RS corresponding to the first CSI report.
[0294] In some feasible implementations, some other configuration items corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report may also be the same or different.
[0295] Optionally, the reporting content (ie, report Quantity) corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report is different.
[0296] Optionally, the CSI reporting types corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report are the same or different. In other words, the values of the reportConfigType object in the CSI-ReportConfig IE corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report are different or the same. For example, the CSI reporting type of the first CSI report may be periodic, and the CSI reporting type of the second CSI report may be aperiodic. Alternatively, the CSI reporting type of the first CSI report and the second CSI report may both be semi-continuous.
[0297] Furthermore, in the case where the CSI reporting type corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report is periodic or semi-continuous, the reporting periods corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report are different, and the starting offsets of the reporting periods corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report may be different or the same. In other words, the values of the CSI-ReportPeriodicityAndOffset object in the CSI-ReportConfig IE corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report are different, but the object values contained therein for indicating the starting offset may be the same or different. For example, the reporting period of the first CSI report may be 50ms, and the starting offset may be 5ms. The reporting period of the second CSI report may be 5ms, and the starting offset may be 1ms.
[0298] Optionally, the CSI-RS resource types corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report are the same or different. In other words, the values of the CSI-RS resource type (i.e., resourceType) contained in the nzp-CSI-RS-ResourceSetList in the CSI resource configuration (i.e., CSI-ResourceConfig) corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report are the same or different. In an embodiment of the present application, the CSI-RS resource type may include periodic, semi-periodic, or semi-continuous. Exemplarily, the CSI-RS resource types corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report may both be periodic. Alternatively, the CSI-RS resource type corresponding to the first CSI report is semi-continuous, and the CSI-RS resource type corresponding to the second CSI report is non-periodic.
[0299] Furthermore, when the CSI-RS resource types corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report are periodic or semi-persistent, the period of the CSI-RS resource corresponding to the first CSI report is the same as or different from the period of the CSI-RS resource corresponding to the second CSI report, and the starting offset of the period of the CSI-RS resource corresponding to the first CSI report is the same as or different from the starting offset of the period of the CSI-RS resource corresponding to the second CSI report. For example, the period of the CSI-RS resource corresponding to the first CSI report may be 40 ms, and the starting offset may be 5 ms. The period of the CSI-RS resource corresponding to the second CSI report may be 4 ms, and the starting offset may be 2 ms.
[0300] Optionally, the number of CSI-RS resources corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report is the same or different. In other words, in the CSI-RS resource set configuration (i.e., NZP-CSI-RS-ResourceSet) of the channel measurement corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report, the number of corresponding CSI-RS resources may be different or the same. Exemplarily, the number of CSI-RS resources corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report may both be 1. Alternatively, the number of CSI-RS resources corresponding to the first CSI report is 4, and the number of CSI-RS resources corresponding to the second CSI report is 1.
[0301] Optionally, the CSI-RS resource mapping corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report is the same or different. In other words, the resourceMapping in the NZP-CSI-RS-Resource corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report is different or the same. This is because the CSI corresponding to the second CSI report is calculated based on the CSI corresponding to the first CSI report. When the prior information is obtained on the terminal device side, the CSI-RS time-frequency or frequency domain resource configuration corresponding to the second CSI report can be more sparse, occupying fewer time-frequency domain resources, thereby reducing the pilot overhead.
[0302] Here, the CSI-RS resource mapping corresponding to the first CSI report and the above-mentioned second CSI report is the same or different, which can be understood as at least one of the configuration items such as the time domain mapping position, frequency domain mapping position, number of CSI-RS ports, CDM group type, and CSI-RS density of the CSI-RS corresponding to the first CSI report is the same or different from at least one of the configuration items such as the time domain mapping position, frequency domain mapping position, number of CSI-RS ports, CDM group type, and CSI-RS density of the CSI-RS corresponding to the first CSI report.
[0303] It should be noted that the above description only exemplifies that some configuration items corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report are different. In actual implementation, some other configuration items corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report may also be the same or different, and no specific limitation is imposed here.
[0304] In the above implementation, some configuration items corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report may be the same or different, which can ensure that the two CSI reports and CSI resource configurations can be more flexible, and can improve the applicability and practicality of the channel state information reporting method provided in this application.
[0305] In some feasible implementations, when the reporting types corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report are semi-continuous or non-periodic, the network device is required to trigger the terminal device to perform the first CSI report and the second CSI report. The following describes in detail the reporting triggering process for the first CSI report and the second CSI report, combining the two different situations: sending the first configuration information (corresponding to the configuration information implementation method 1 below) and sending the second configuration information (corresponding to the configuration information implementation method 2 below).
[0306] Configuration information implementation method 1:
[0307] When the CSI reporting types corresponding to the first CSI reporting and the second CSI reporting are both semi-persistent, the semi-persistent CSI trigger state list includes a first semi-persistent CSI trigger state corresponding to the first CSI reporting configuration information and a second semi-persistent trigger state corresponding to the second CSI reporting configuration information. It should be noted that in actual implementation, the network device will configure a semi-persistent CSI trigger state list for the terminal device, and the semi-persistent CSI trigger state list includes at least one semi-persistent trigger state corresponding to the CSI reporting configuration information indicating that the CSI reporting type is semi-persistent.
[0308] In a case where the CSI reporting types corresponding to the first CSI reporting and the second CSI reporting are both non-periodic, the non-periodic CSI trigger state list includes a first non-periodic CSI trigger state corresponding to the first CSI reporting configuration information and a second non-periodic trigger state corresponding to the second CSI reporting configuration information. It should be noted that in actual implementation, the network device will configure an non-periodic CSI trigger state list for the terminal device, and the non-periodic CSI trigger state list includes at least one semi-continuous trigger state corresponding to the CSI reporting configuration information indicating that the CSI reporting type is non-periodic.
[0309] When the CSI reporting type corresponding to the first CSI reporting is semi-persistent and the CSI reporting type corresponding to the second CSI reporting is non-periodic, the semi-persistent CSI triggering state list includes a first semi-persistent CSI triggering state corresponding to the first CSI reporting configuration information, and the non-periodic CSI triggering state list includes a second non-periodic triggering state corresponding to the second CSI reporting configuration information.
[0310] When the CSI reporting type corresponding to the first type of CSI reporting is non-periodic and the CSI reporting type corresponding to the second type of CSI reporting is semi-persistent, the semi-persistent CSI triggering state list includes the second semi-persistent CSI triggering state corresponding to the second CSI reporting configuration information, and the non-periodic CSI triggering state list includes the first non-periodic triggering state corresponding to the first CSI reporting configuration information.
[0311] The first semi-persistent CSI triggering state and the first aperiodic CSI triggering state are both associated with the first reporting configuration ID, and the second semi-persistent CSI triggering state and the second aperiodic CSI triggering state are both associated with the second reporting configuration ID.
[0312] Furthermore, based on the above implementation, when the reporting trigger message received by the terminal device and sent by the network device indicates triggering the first non-periodic CSI trigger state or the first semi-persistent CSI trigger state, the reporting trigger message is used to trigger the first type of CSI reporting. When the reporting trigger message received by the terminal device indicates triggering the second non-periodic CSI trigger state or the second semi-persistent CSI trigger state, the reporting trigger message is used to trigger the second type of CSI reporting.
[0313] Alternatively, before step S410, the network device may send a reporting trigger message to the terminal device. If the terminal device determines that the reporting trigger message indicates triggering the first aperiodic CSI trigger state or the first semi-persistent CSI trigger state, it is determined that the first type of CSI reporting is triggered. If the terminal device determines that the reporting trigger message indicates triggering the second aperiodic CSI trigger state or the second semi-persistent CSI trigger state, it is determined that the second type of CSI reporting is triggered.
[0314] It should be understood that in actual implementation, the above-mentioned reporting trigger message may include only one of the first aperiodic CSI triggering state, the first semi-persistent CSI triggering state, the second aperiodic CSI triggering state, and the second semi-persistent CSI triggering state, or may include two of the first aperiodic CSI triggering state, the first semi-persistent CSI triggering state, the second aperiodic CSI triggering state, and the second semi-persistent CSI triggering state. In other words, the reporting trigger message can be used to trigger only the first CSI report or the second CSI report, or can be used to trigger both the first CSI report and the second CSI report.
[0315] Configuration information implementation method 2:
[0316] In an optional implementation, when the CSI reporting types corresponding to the first CSI reporting and the second CSI reporting are both non-periodic, the non-periodic CSI trigger state list may include a first non-periodic CSI trigger state corresponding to the first sub-CSI reporting configuration information and a second non-periodic CSI trigger state corresponding to the second sub-CSI reporting configuration information.
[0317] When the CSI reporting types corresponding to the first CSI reporting and the second CSI reporting are both semi-persistent, the semi-persistent CSI triggering state list may include a first semi-persistent CSI triggering state corresponding to the first sub-CSI reporting configuration information and a second semi-persistent CSI triggering state corresponding to the second sub-CSI reporting configuration information.
[0318] Here, the third reporting configuration ID is the reporting configuration ID corresponding to the second configuration information, and the first aperiodic CSI triggering state, the second aperiodic CSI triggering state, the first semi-persistent CSI triggering state and the second semi-persistent CSI triggering state are all associated with the third reporting configuration ID.
[0319] Furthermore, when the above implementation is adopted, when the reporting trigger message received by the terminal device and sent by the network device indicates triggering the first non-periodic CSI trigger state or the first semi-persistent CSI trigger state, the reporting trigger message is used to trigger the first type of CSI reporting. When the reporting trigger message received by the terminal device indicates triggering the second non-periodic CSI trigger state or the second semi-persistent CSI trigger state, the reporting trigger message is used to trigger the second type of CSI reporting.
[0320] Alternatively, before step S410, the network device may send a reporting trigger message to the terminal device.
[0321] It should be understood that in actual implementation, the above-mentioned reporting trigger message may include only one of the first aperiodic CSI triggering state, the first semi-persistent CSI triggering state, the second aperiodic CSI triggering state, and the second semi-persistent CSI triggering state, or may include two of the first aperiodic CSI triggering state, the first semi-persistent CSI triggering state, the second aperiodic CSI triggering state, and the second semi-persistent CSI triggering state. In other words, the reporting trigger message can be used to trigger only the first CSI report or the second CSI report, or can be used to trigger both the first CSI report and the second CSI report.
[0322] In another optional implementation, when the CSI reporting types corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report are both aperiodic, the aperiodic CSI triggering state list includes a target aperiodic CSI triggering state corresponding to the second configuration information. When the CSI reporting types corresponding to the first CSI report and the second CSI report are both semi-persistent, the semi-persistent CSI triggering state list may include a target semi-persistent CSI triggering state corresponding to the second configuration information. Here, the target aperiodic CSI triggering state and the target semi-persistent triggering state are both associated with a third reporting configuration ID, and the third reporting configuration ID is the reporting configuration ID corresponding to the second configuration information.
[0323] Further, based on the above implementation, when the reporting trigger message received by the terminal device indicates the triggering target non-periodic CSI trigger state and includes identification information for indicating the above-mentioned first CSI reporting, or when the reporting trigger message received by the terminal device indicates the triggering target semi-persistent CSI trigger state and includes identification information for indicating the first CSI reporting, the reporting trigger message is used to trigger the first CSI reporting. When the reporting trigger message received by the terminal device indicates the triggering target non-periodic CSI trigger state and includes identification information for indicating the second CSI reporting, or when the reporting trigger message received by the terminal device indicates the triggering target semi-persistent CSI trigger state and includes identification information for indicating the second CSI reporting, the reporting trigger message is used to trigger the second CSI reporting.
[0324] Exemplarily, the identification information for indicating the first CSI report and the identification information for indicating the second CSI report can be a specific bit included in the report trigger message. When the value of this bit is 1, it indicates the first CSI report, and when the value is 0, it indicates the second CSI report. It should be understood that this is merely an example, and the identification information for indicating the first CSI report and the identification information for indicating the second CSI report can also be implemented in the report trigger message in other ways, which are not limited here.
[0325] Exemplarily, the identification information for indicating the first CSI report may be a specific bit contained in the report trigger message (for the sake of distinction, the first bit will be used instead of the expression below). The value of the first bit is used to indicate whether the first CSI report is triggered. For example, when the value of the first bit is 1, it indicates that the first CSI report is triggered, and when the value is 0, it indicates that the first CSI report is not triggered. Similarly, the identification information for indicating the second CSI report may be another specific bit contained in the report trigger message (for the sake of distinction, the second bit will be used instead of the expression below). The value of the second bit is used to indicate whether the second CSI report is triggered. For example, when the value of the second bit is 1, it indicates that the second CSI report is triggered, and when the value is 0, it indicates that the second CSI report is not triggered.
[0326] In another optional implementation, when the reporting type of the first CSI report is semi-persistent and the reporting type of the second CSI report is non-periodic, the semi-persistent CSI trigger state list includes a first semi-persistent CSI trigger state corresponding to the first sub-CSI reporting configuration information, and the non-periodic CSI trigger state list includes a second non-periodic CSI trigger state corresponding to the second sub-CSI reporting configuration information.
[0327] When the reporting type of the first CSI report is aperiodic and the reporting type of the second CSI report is semi-persistent, the semi-persistent CSI triggering state list includes the second semi-persistent CSI triggering state corresponding to the second sub-CSI reporting configuration information, and the aperiodic CSI triggering state list includes the first aperiodic CSI triggering state corresponding to the first sub-CSI reporting configuration information;
[0328] Here, the first semi-persistent CSI triggering state, the second semi-persistent CSI triggering state, the first aperiodic CSI triggering state, and the second aperiodic CSI triggering state are all associated with a third reporting configuration ID, which is the reporting configuration ID corresponding to the second configuration information.
[0329] Furthermore, based on the above implementation, when the reporting trigger message received by the terminal device and sent by the network device indicates triggering the first non-periodic CSI trigger state or the first semi-persistent CSI trigger state, the reporting trigger message is used to trigger the first type of CSI reporting. When the reporting trigger message received by the terminal device indicates triggering the second non-periodic CSI trigger state or the second semi-persistent CSI trigger state, the reporting trigger message is used to trigger the second type of CSI reporting.
[0330] Alternatively, before step S410, the network device may send a reporting trigger message to the terminal device.
[0331] It should be understood that in actual implementation, the above-mentioned reporting trigger message may include only one of the first aperiodic CSI triggering state, the first semi-persistent CSI triggering state, the second aperiodic CSI triggering state, and the second semi-persistent CSI triggering state, or may include two of the first aperiodic CSI triggering state, the first semi-persistent CSI triggering state, the second aperiodic CSI triggering state, and the second semi-persistent CSI triggering state. In other words, the reporting trigger message can be used to trigger only the first CSI report or the second CSI report, or can be used to trigger both the first CSI report and the second CSI report.
[0332] In the channel state information reporting method provided in this application, indication information for a first set of vectors used to determine a target precoding matrix is reported by a first CSI, while a first weighting coefficient used to determine the target precoding matrix is reported by a second CSI independent of the first CSI. Independently reporting the indication information and weighting coefficient corresponding to the precoding matrix effectively addresses the high overhead of existing CSI reporting for precoding matrices or downlink channel reporting, facilitating efficient use of communication resources in the communication system.
