[0011] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

[0012] 1A and 1B are diagrams showing the configuration of a mobile inspection device of the present invention. Fig. 1A shows a perspective view of the mobile inspection device during transportation. Fig. 1B shows a perspective view of the mobile inspection device during radiological inspection.

[0013] The mobile inspection device of the present invention has the function of being able to perform radiological inspection and ultrasonic inspection.

[0014] The mobile inspection device has a roughly rectangular parallelepiped housing 10, a moving part 12 that can be removed from the housing 10 and is equipped with wheels 12a, a support 16 that can move and extend in the vertical direction, a main arm 18 that is rotatably connected to the support 16, and a sub-arm 26 on which a panel unit 28 having a display unit can be installed.

[0015] 1A , when the device is being transported without being used for radiological or ultrasonic examination, components such as the support column 16, main arm 18, and sub-arm 26 are stored in the housing 10. The housing 10 stores at least some of the components such as the support column 16, main arm 18, and sub-arm 26. The components such as the support column 16, main arm 18, and sub-arm 26 may form the top or side surfaces of the housing 10.

[0016] During radiological examination, as shown in FIG. 1B, components such as the support column 16, the main arm 18, and the sub-arm 26 are pulled out from the housing 10 and deployed.

[0017] During radiological examination, the main arm 18 is placed at a higher position than the sub-arm 26. The main arm 18 and the sub-arm 26 are placed so as to be approximately parallel to the floor surface.

[0018] A radiation irradiation unit 22 is installed on a main arm 18 that is rotatably connected to the support column 16 .

[0019] The main arm 18 and the sub-arm 26 are installed in different directions relative to the support 16. The different directions are opposite directions. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 1B , the main arm 18 is installed on the right side of the support 16. The sub-arm 26 is installed on the left side of the support 16.

[0020] The housing 10 has the function of storing each component. When transported, the housing 10 can store the radiation irradiation unit 22, the panel unit 28, the radiation detector 24 (described later), the ultrasonic probe 30, etc. The housing 10 can also store the power supply, control device, and other equipment of the mobile inspection device.

[0021] The housing 10 has a main arm storage section 10a on a side surface of the housing 10 and a sub-arm storage section 10b on the top surface of the housing 10. The top surface of the housing 10 may have a radiation detector storage section 10c. The main arm storage section 10a can be referred to as a first storage section. The sub-arm storage section 10b can be referred to as a third storage section. The radiation detector storage section 10c can be referred to as a fourth storage section.

[0022] The main arm storage section 10a (first storage section) has a space for storing the radiation irradiation unit 22 and the support column 16 connected to the main arm 18, in addition to the main arm 18. Specifically, a recess is formed in the side surface of the housing 10 as the main arm storage section 10a. The main arm storage section 10a has the function of storing the main arm 18, the radiation irradiation unit 22, and the support column 16 in the recess formed in the side surface of the housing 10. Note that the interior of the housing 10 may be hollow, and the main arm 18, the radiation irradiation unit 22, and the support column 16 may be stored inside the housing 10.

[0023] Sub-arm storage section 10b (third storage section) has a space for storing sub-arm 26. Specifically, sub-arm storage section 10b is formed as a recess in the upper surface of housing 10. Sub-arm storage section 10b has the function of storing sub-arm 26 in the recess formed in the upper surface of housing 10.

[0024] The radiation detector storage section 10c (fourth storage section) has a space for storing the radiation detector 24. Specifically, the inside of the housing 10 is hollow, and a slit is provided on the top surface of the housing 10. The radiation detector 24 can be slid in and stored in the housing 10 from the top surface of the housing 10.

[0025] According to this embodiment, the housing 10 has a radiation detector storage section 10c (fourth storage section) that stores the radiation detector 24 that detects radiation irradiated from the radiation irradiator.

[0026] FIG. 1A is a perspective view of the mobile inspection device, showing the state of the mobile inspection device being transported. The mobile unit 12 has multiple wheels 12a that rotate while in contact with the floor surface and a cover 12b that covers the bottom surface of the housing 10. The multiple wheels 12a are attached to the cover 12b. The multiple wheels 12a are multiple tires or casters that rotate and touch the ground when an operator tows the mobile inspection device, making it easy to transport the mobile inspection device. The mobile unit 12 is also detachable from the housing 10. For example, when transporting the mobile inspection device, the mobile unit 12 is attached to the housing 10 and towed. When visiting a subject's home, the mobile unit 12 is detached from the housing 10 before entering the home, and the housing 10 is brought inside and placed near the subject. By separating the dirty mobile unit 12 from the clean housing 10 in this way, it is possible to maintain indoor hygiene.

[0027] The cover 12b of the moving unit 12 may be provided with a locking mechanism (not shown) for integrating the housing 10 and the moving unit 12. When the locking mechanism is turned on with the housing 10 attached to the cover 12b of the moving unit 12, the moving unit 12 and the housing 10 are integrated. When the locking mechanism is turned off, the moving unit 12 can be removed from the housing 10.

[0028] The support column 16 is installed so as to be extendable and scalable relative to the housing 10. The support column 16 is composed of a movable section 16a and an extension section 16b. The support column 16 is erected along the side of the housing 10, and the movable section 16a can slide in the vertical direction (direction A) relative to the housing 10 to move. The extension section 16b of the support column 16 can slide in the vertical direction (direction A) relative to the movable section 16a to extend and retract. An operator can adjust the height of the radiation irradiation unit 22 by sliding the movable section 16a in the vertical direction (direction A) and by sliding the extension section 16b in the vertical direction (direction A) to extend and retract. In addition, a locking mechanism (not shown) is provided to secure the support column 16 to the housing 10 so that the support column 16 cannot move in the vertical direction when housed in the housing 10 during transportation.

[0029] The support 16 is erected along the side surface of the housing 10, and the movable part 16a can slide and move in the vertical direction (direction A) relative to the housing 10. In addition, the expandable part 16b can slide and expand and contract in the vertical direction (direction A) relative to the movable part 16a.

[0030] When stored, the telescopic portion 16b is slid downward, causing the movable portion 16a and the telescopic portion 16b to overlap. Then, with the telescopic portion 16b overlapping, the movable portion 16a can slide downward. When the movable portion 16a and the telescopic portion 16b slide downward and the column 16 is contracted, it is shorter than the height of the housing 10. Because the lengths of the movable portion 16a and the telescopic portion 16b are shorter than the height of the housing 10, the contracted column 16 is shorter than the height of the housing 10. Therefore, the column 16 can be stored in the housing 10.

[0031] During radiological examination, the extension section 16b is slid upward, and the extended support 16 is in a state where the length of the movable section 16a and the length of the extension section 16b are combined, making it longer than the height of the housing 10.

[0032] The legs 14 are rotatably connected to the bottom of the housing 10. During transportation, the legs 14 are folded along the housing 10. The cover 12b of the moving unit 12 is attached to the housing 10 so as to cover the legs 14, so the legs 14 do not rotate. When installing the mobile testing device near a subject, the cover 12b of the moving unit 12 is removed from the housing 10, and the operator rotates the legs 14 toward the main arm 18. The rotation axis of the legs 14 is approximately parallel to the longitudinal direction of the support 16. The operator can rotate the legs 14 while keeping the legs 14 in contact with the floor surface, and can arbitrarily set the rotation angle of the legs 14.

[0033] Although the leg 14 is shown here as being rotatable, the leg 14 may be slid to project from the housing 10. The leg 14 may be of any other form as long as it supports the mobile inspection device.

[0034] 1B is a perspective view of the mobile inspection device with the legs 14 rotated toward the main arm 18. As will be described later, when the main arm 18 is deployed, the heavy radiation irradiation unit 22 is attached to the tip of the main arm 18, and therefore the mobile inspection device may tip toward the main arm 18 if not supported. The legs 14 support the mobile inspection device from the connecting portion to the tip or by contacting the ground near the tip. By rotating the legs 14 toward the main arm 18, the operator prevents the mobile inspection device from tipping toward the radiation irradiation unit 22.

[0035] One longitudinal end of the main arm 18 is connected to the radiation irradiation unit 22, and the other longitudinal end is connected to the support column 16. The main arm 18 has a first handle 18a that an operator grips when carrying the mobile inspection device. The first handle can also be referred to as a first gripping portion.

[0036] The radiation irradiator 22 is a transmission-type radiation irradiator having a function of generating radiation. The radiation irradiator 22 is realized by, for example, an X-ray tube, and irradiates radiation toward the subject. The transmission-type radiation irradiator has radiation shielding members disposed on the electron incident side and the radiation emitting side of the target to shield unnecessary radiation. The transmission-type radiation irradiator does not need to cover the entire periphery of the radiation generating tube or the enclosure housing the radiation generating tube with a shielding member such as lead, and therefore can be made smaller and lighter than, for example, a rotating anode-type radiation irradiator.

[0037] 1A, during transportation, the main arm 18 is folded relative to the support column 16. The support column 16 is then slid downward for movement. By locating the radiation irradiation unit 22 close to the floor, the center of gravity of the mobile inspection device can be lowered. This allows the balance of the mobile inspection device to be maintained, and also reduces the force required to operate the first handle 18a for tilting the mobile inspection device during transportation.

[0038] During transportation, the main arm 18, radiation irradiation unit 22, and support column 16 are stored in the main arm storage section 10a of the housing 10. At this time, the radiation irradiation unit 22 is located between the main arm 18 and the support column 16, and the main arm 18 serves as a cover for the radiation irradiation unit 22. The surface of the main arm 18 opposite to the surface that connects to the radiation irradiation unit 22 is at the same height as the side of the housing 10 when stored, and forms part of the exterior of the mobile inspection device. Therefore, the exterior of the mobile inspection device has no protrusions, so there is no risk of it getting caught during transportation, and it can be transported safely.

[0039] 2 is a diagram showing the mobile inspection device being carried by an operator. As shown in FIG. 2, a first handle 18a is provided at the end (top end) of the main arm 18, and is formed outward from the outer shape of the housing 10 so that the operator U can easily grip it. The operator U grasps the first handle 18a and pulls the moving part 12 in the direction of travel, causing the multiple wheels 12a to rotate, allowing the mobile inspection device to be carried. Furthermore, because the first handle 18a is provided at the top end of the main arm 18 approximately parallel to the sliding direction of the support 16, the operator U can grasp the first handle 18a and move the support 16, to which the main arm 18 is connected, in the vertical direction when setting up the mobile inspection device.

[0040] The main arm 18 supports the radiation irradiation unit 22 and has a predetermined length. As shown in Fig. 1B, the main arm 18 has an extension / contraction mechanism that extends and contracts in the longitudinal direction (direction B) of the main arm 18. That is, the radiation irradiation unit 22 can be moved in the longitudinal direction (direction B) of the main arm 18. In this configuration, the main arm 18 can be extended in the longitudinal direction (direction B) and the radiation irradiation unit 22 can be installed away from the housing 10.

[0041] Furthermore, the main arm 18 can rotate around the upper end of the support column 16. Specifically, as shown in Fig. 1B, the support column 16 has a main arm hinge portion 20 for rotating the main arm 18 in a predetermined rotation direction (direction C).

[0042] The main arm hinge portion 20 connects the main arm 18 and the support column 16, and has a mechanism that allows the main arm 18 to open and close relative to the support column 16. When the main arm 18 is folded relative to the support column 16, the main arm 18 becomes approximately perpendicular to the floor surface and approximately parallel to the support column 16.

[0043] In this way, the main arm 18 has a folding function via the main arm hinge portion 20. When stored, the main arm 18 is stored in the housing 10 in a folded state, and the main arm 18 becomes approximately perpendicular to the floor surface and remains approximately parallel to the support column 16.

[0044] When stored, the main arm 18 is folded in a contracted state in the longitudinal direction (direction B). The length of the contracted main arm 18 is shorter than the height of the housing 10. Therefore, the main arm 18 can be stored in the housing 10. During radiological examination, the main arm 18 is approximately parallel to the floor surface and approximately perpendicular to the support column 16.

[0045] 1A, when stored, the main arm 18 is folded relative to the support 16, and the first handle 18a is located at the end (upper end) of the main arm 18. At this time, the first handle 18a is located at the upper end of the support 16.

[0046] 1B, during a radiological examination, the main arm 18 is extended and becomes substantially parallel to the floor surface. At this time, the first handle 18a is attached to the end (left end) of the main arm 18.

[0047] In this way, the direction of the first handle 18a changes in conjunction with the movement of the main arm 18. In other words, the direction of the first handle 18a is determined according to the orientation of the main arm 18.

[0048] The sub-arm 26 does not have the function of folding relative to the support 16. When stored, the sub-arm 26 is not folded and is stored in the housing 10. During radiological examination and when stored, the sub-arm 26 is approximately parallel to the floor. The length of the sub-arm 26 is shorter than the width of the housing 10 (the longitudinal direction of the top surface of the housing 10). Therefore, the sub-arm 26 can be stored in the housing 10.

[0049] Fig. 3 is a perspective view of the mobile inspection device, showing how the mobile inspection device is installed on the floor. As shown in Fig. 2, the mobile inspection device is carried by an operator, and the cover 12b of the moving part 12 is removed from the housing 10. The operator sets up the mobile inspection device at the location where the operator wants to take pictures and rotates the legs 14. The mobile inspection device is installed on the floor using the legs 14 and the bottom surface of the housing 10.

[0050] 4 is a perspective view of the mobile examination device, showing a state in which the support column 16 has been moved upward. When performing a radiological examination from the stored state shown in FIG. 1A, the operator grasps the first handle 18a of the main arm 18 and moves the support column 16 upward.

[0051] 4, which shows a state in which the support column 16 has been moved upward, the main arm 18 is folded relative to the support column 16, and the first handle 18a is attached to the end (upper end) of the main arm 18. At this time, the first handle 18a is located at the upper end of the support column 16.

[0052] The operator then unfolds the main arm 18. The main arm 18 becomes substantially parallel to the floor. The main arm 18 has substantially the same length as the extendable section 16b. By further extending the main arm 18, the radiation irradiation section 22 protrudes as shown in FIG. 1B, and can be placed above the examination area of the subject.

[0053] The main arm 18 has an extension / contraction mechanism that extends and contracts in the longitudinal direction (direction B) of the main arm 18. The main arm 18 also has a second handle 18b that the operator grips when extending or contracting the main arm 18. The second handle 18b can also be referred to as a second gripping portion.

[0054] During a radiological examination, the second handle 18b (second gripping portion) is provided on the same surface as the irradiation surface of the radiation irradiation unit 22 so that it is easy for the operator to grip when the main arm 18 is unfolded. During a radiological examination, when the main arm 18 is unfolded and becomes approximately parallel to the floor surface, the second handle 18b is placed on the underside of the main arm 18.

[0055] The operator can grasp the second handle 18b located on the underside of the main arm 18 to extend or retract the main arm 18, making it easy to align the subject lying on the bed with the radiation irradiation unit 22 connected to the main arm 18.

[0056] According to this embodiment, the main arm 18 (first arm) has a first handle 18a (first gripping portion) at the end of the main arm 18 and a second handle 18b (second gripping portion) on the same surface as the irradiation surface of the radiation irradiation unit.

[0057] FIG. 5 is a perspective view of the mobile inspection device, showing the radiation detector 24 removed from the housing 10. The radiation detector 24 can detect radiation irradiated from the radiation irradiation unit 22. The radiation detector 24 is a plate-shaped flat panel detector (FPD). The housing 10 has a radiation detector storage section 10c on the top surface. The radiation detector storage section 10c is a space for storing the radiation detector 24, and the plate-shaped radiation detector 24 is formed to fit against the side surface of the housing 10. The operator can remove the radiation detector 24 by grasping one end of the radiation detector 24 from the top surface of the housing 10.

[0058] The sub-arm 26 is connected to the support 16. Specifically, the sub-arm 26 is connected to a movable portion 16a of the support 16, which moves up and down. The movable portion 16a can be moved up and down to move the sub-arm 26 up and down. The sub-arm 26 is stored in the sub-arm storage portion 10b of the housing 10, and when stored, is at the same height as the top surface of the housing 10. The sub-arm 26 forms part of the top surface of the mobile inspection device (housing 10). In other words, the sub-arm 26 forms part of the exterior of the mobile inspection device (housing 10). As shown in FIG. 4 , the sub-arm 26 has a fitting portion 26a near its tip for attaching a panel unit 28. The panel unit 28 is attached to the sub-arm 26 via the fitting portion 26a. The panel unit 28 has a tablet computer equipped with a display unit and an input unit.

[0059] The sub-arm 26 can be moved by a movable part 16a of the support 16 separately from the vertical movement of the support 16, allowing the operator to adjust the height of the panel unit 28. As will be described later, the panel unit 28 has an ultrasonic probe storage part 28a that stores the ultrasonic probe 30, a touch panel 28b, and a stand 28c. The ultrasonic probe 30 can be placed on the panel unit 28.

[0060] Although the configuration in which the sub-arm 26 is connected to the support 16 has been shown here, the sub-arm 26 does not have to be connected to the support 16. For example, a separate support may be provided below the sub-arm 26 and connected to the housing 10 so that it can move up and down. In that case, it becomes possible to move only the sub-arm 26 upward without moving the support 16 upward.

[0061] According to this embodiment, a sub-arm 26 (second arm) on which a panel unit 28 is mounted is provided, and the sub-arm 26 is attached to the support 16 or the housing 10 so as to be movable in the vertical direction. The housing 10 has a sub-arm storage section 10b (third storage section) that stores at least a portion of the sub-arm 26. When the sub-arm 26 is stored in the housing 10, at least a portion of the sub-arm 26 forms the housing 10.

[0062] 6 is a perspective view of the mobile inspection device, showing a state in which the side of the housing 10 is opened. The housing 10 has a panel unit storage section 10d on the side. The panel unit storage section 10d can be called a second storage section.

[0063] The panel unit storage section 10d (second storage section) is a space for storing the panel unit 28, and the panel unit 28 can be removed by opening the side of the housing 10 in direction D. In other words, the panel unit storage section 10d (second storage section) can store the panel unit 28 by opening and closing the side of the housing 10. The panel unit 28 can rotate in direction D around its lower end.

[0064] The panel unit 28 has an ultrasound probe storage section 28a that stores the ultrasound probe 30, a touch panel 28b, and a stand 28c. The panel unit 28 has a fitting section in the stand 28c on the opposite side (back side) of the touch panel 28b. The panel unit 28 is attached to the fitting section 26a of the sub-arm 26 shown in FIG. 4. One end of the sub-arm 26 forms a connection section for the support 16, and the other end of the sub-arm 26 forms the fitting section 26a. The panel unit 28 is installed at a position a predetermined distance (the length of the sub-arm 26) away from the support 16.

[0065] According to this embodiment, the housing 10 has a panel unit storage section 10d (second storage section) that stores a panel unit 28 on which an ultrasonic probe 30 that transmits and receives ultrasonic waves is placed. The panel unit storage section 10d (second storage section) can store the panel unit 28 by opening and closing the side of the housing 10.

[0066] 1B shows a state in which the panel unit 28 is tilted. The angle of the panel unit 28 can be changed by swinging the panel unit 28 relative to the sub-arm 26 depending on the operator's application. One of the swinging movements of the panel unit 28 that change the angle of the panel unit 28 is a tilting movement.

[0067] Furthermore, the rotation axis of the fitting portion 26a is parallel to the longitudinal direction of the support 16. Therefore, the panel unit 28 is rotatable around an axis parallel to the longitudinal direction of the support 16. The panel unit 28 is rotatable at the end of the sub-arm 26. The rotation mechanism can rotate the panel unit 28 within a predetermined rotation range (e.g., 180°). The rotation mechanism of the panel unit 28 has the function of maintaining the rotated position of the panel unit 28 at any position.

[0068] The ultrasound probe storage section 28a is a mounting section for mounting the ultrasound probe 30 used in the ultrasound examination. The touch panel 28b displays generated radiological images, ultrasound images, etc., and displays a GUI for the operator to input various instructions. The touch panel 28b can also receive instructions input by the operator. The operator can easily remove the ultrasound probe 30 and operate the touch panel 28b by adjusting the height of the sub-arm 26 to which the panel unit 28 is attached to match their posture during the examination. In addition, the operator can adjust the touch panel 28b to a position that is easy to see during the examination by rotating the panel unit 28 horizontally around the fitting section 26a.

[0069] Here, the panel unit 28 has been shown to have a configuration in which the ultrasonic probe storage section 28a and the touch panel 28b are integrated together, but for example, the touch panel may be configured to be detachable.

[0070] The radiation irradiation unit 22 has a first camera 40a that captures an image of the subject. The main arm 18 has a second camera 40b that captures an image of the subject. The second camera 40b is attached to one end of the surface that forms the exterior of the main arm 18, near the main arm hinge.

[0071] The mobile inspection device of the present invention comprises a housing 10, a support 16 connected to the housing 10 and movable in the vertical direction, a first arm (main arm 18) connected to the support 16, supporting a radiation irradiation unit 22 that irradiates radiation and extending and retracting in the longitudinal direction, and a moving unit 12 that supports the housing 10 and is movable on the floor surface, the first arm (main arm 18) being folded relative to the support 16, and the housing 10 having a first storage section (main arm storage section 10a) that stores the radiation irradiation unit 22, the first arm (main arm 18) and at least a portion of the support 16.

[0072] When the first arm (main arm 18) is housed in the housing 10, at least a portion of the first arm (main arm 18) forms the housing. Therefore, it is possible to provide a mobile inspection device that is easy to install.

[0073] The internal configuration of the mobile inspection device will now be described with reference to Fig. 7. Fig. 7 is a diagram showing the configuration of a device main body 100 of the mobile inspection device. The device main body 100 is installed inside a housing 10.

[0074] The device main body 100 includes a detection unit 110 that detects the state of the main arm 18 and the ultrasonic probe 30, a control unit 112 that controls various components, a radiation control unit 120 that controls the radiation irradiation unit 22 and the radiation detector 24, a radiation image generation unit 122 that generates radiation image data using image signals transmitted from the radiation detector 24, an ultrasonic transmission / reception unit 130 that causes the ultrasonic probe 30 to transmit and receive ultrasonic waves, an ultrasonic signal processing unit 132 that performs various signal processing using ultrasonic signals based on reflected wave signals received by the ultrasonic transmission / reception unit 130, and an ultrasonic image generation unit 134 that generates an ultrasonic image using signal processing data signal-processed in the ultrasonic signal processing unit 132.

[0075] 1B , the detection unit 110 detects that preparation for radiological examination has begun by rotating the main arm 18 to unfold or extend it. An example of a detection method is to provide a sensor on the main arm hinge unit 20 or the main arm 18 to detect that the main arm 18 has been unfolded from the support 16 or that the main arm 18 has been extended. The detection unit 110 also detects that preparation for ultrasonic examination has begun by removing the ultrasonic probe 30 from the panel unit 28. An example of a detection method is to provide a sensor in the ultrasonic probe storage unit 28a of the panel unit 28 to detect that the ultrasonic probe 30 has been removed.

[0076] When the detection unit 110 detects that preparation for a radiological or ultrasound examination has begun, the control unit 112 controls the first camera 40a and the second camera 40b to capture images and the display on the touch panel 28b. Specifically, the control unit 112 starts capturing images with the first camera 40a and the second camera 40b and displays the captured images on the touch panel 28b. The operator performs pre-examination preparations, such as aligning the radiation irradiator 22 and the radiation detector 24 during a radiological examination, while viewing the image captured by the first camera 40a from above the subject. Because the first camera 40a captures images from above the subject, the examination area on the subject is easily identified, making alignment easy. The control unit 112 can acquire various information about the subject using camera recognition technology. For example, it can detect pulse waves from the subject's face, hands, etc., and obtain vital signs such as pulse rate and blood pressure. Furthermore, when the detection unit 110 detects that preparation for a radiological examination or an ultrasonic examination has begun, the control unit 112 starts an application required for the radiological examination or the ultrasonic examination and displays it on the touch panel 28b.

[0077] The radiation control unit 120 has a function of controlling the radiation irradiator 22. The radiation control unit 120 sets the imaging conditions (tube voltage, tube current, irradiation time) of radiation irradiated from the radiation irradiator 22. The radiation control unit 120 can also control the timing of irradiation by the radiation irradiator 22 and the timing of imaging by the radiation detector 24. The radiation control unit 120 can also cause the radiation irradiator 22 to irradiate radiation multiple times, and the radiation detector 24 can also perform imaging multiple times in response to the irradiation from the radiation irradiator 22.

[0078] As described above, the radiation irradiation unit 22 can irradiate a desired range with radiation. As described above, the radiation detector 24 can detect radiation irradiated from the radiation irradiation unit 22. The radiation detector 24 has pixels arranged in an array (a two-dimensional planar area), each of which includes an image sensor that outputs a radiation signal corresponding to the radiation (incident light) irradiated from the radiation irradiation unit 22. The photoelectric conversion element of each pixel converts light converted by the phosphor into an electrical signal, a radiation signal (hereinafter also referred to as an image signal), and the capacitor of each pixel accumulates the charge of the radiation signal (image signal). The radiation detector 24 reads out the image signal accumulated in the capacitor of each pixel and transmits it to the radiological image generation unit 122.

[0079] The radiation image generation unit 122 performs image processing such as gradation processing and noise reduction processing on the image signal transmitted from the radiation detector 24. Then, the radiation image generation unit 122 transmits the radiation image data generated after the image processing to the touch panel 28b.

[0080] The ultrasound probe 30 is connected to the device main body 100 via wireless communication. The ultrasound probe 30 has multiple transducers, and can generate ultrasound waves by driving the multiple transducers. The ultrasound probe 30 receives reflected waves from the subject and converts them into electrical signals. The converted electrical signals are transmitted to the device main body 100.

[0081] The ultrasonic probe 30 is provided with an acoustic matching layer on the front side (subject side) of the multiple transducers to match the acoustic impedance of the multiple transducers with that of the subject, and a backing material on the rear side of the multiple transducers to prevent the propagation of ultrasonic waves from the multiple transducers to the rear side. In this embodiment, communication between the ultrasonic probe 30 and the device main body 100 is performed wirelessly, but a connector receptacle connectable to a connector of the ultrasonic probe may be provided on the housing to perform wired communication.

[0082] The ultrasonic transmitting / receiving unit 130 controls the transmission and reception of ultrasonic waves performed by the ultrasonic probe 30. The ultrasonic transmitting / receiving unit 130 has a transmitting unit, a transmission delay circuit, etc., and supplies a drive signal to the ultrasonic probe 30. The transmitting unit repeatedly generates rate pulses at a predetermined repetition frequency (PRF). The transmission delay circuit focuses the ultrasonic waves generated from the ultrasonic probe 30 and provides a delay time to the rate pulses generated by the transmitting unit to determine the transmission directivity. The transmission delay circuit can control the transmission direction of the ultrasonic waves transmitted from the transducer by changing the delay time provided to the rate pulses.

[0083] The ultrasonic transmission / reception unit 130 also includes an amplifier, an A / D conversion unit, a reception delay circuit, an adder, etc. It performs various processes on the reflected wave signals received by the ultrasonic probe 30 to generate ultrasonic signals. The amplifier amplifies the reflected wave signals for each channel and performs gain correction processing. The A / D conversion unit A / D converts the gain-corrected reflected wave signals. The reception delay circuit imparts a delay time to the digital data to determine the reception directivity. The adder performs addition processing on the reflected wave signals that have been given a delay time by the reception delay circuit. The addition processing by the adder emphasizes the reflected components from a direction corresponding to the reception directivity of the reflected wave signals.

[0084] When performing two-dimensional scanning of the subject, the ultrasound transmitting and receiving unit 130 causes the ultrasound probe 30 to transmit two-dimensional ultrasound waves. Then, the ultrasound transmitting and receiving unit 130 generates two-dimensional ultrasound signals from the two-dimensional reflected wave signals received by the ultrasound probe 30. When performing three-dimensional scanning of the subject, the ultrasound transmitting and receiving unit 130 causes the ultrasound probe 30 to transmit three-dimensional ultrasound waves. Then, the ultrasound transmitting and receiving unit 130 generates three-dimensional ultrasound signals from the three-dimensional reflected wave signals received by the ultrasound probe 30.

[0085] The ultrasonic signal processing unit 132 performs various signal processing operations on the ultrasonic signals output from the ultrasonic transmission / reception unit 130. Specifically, the ultrasonic signal processing unit 132 performs signal processing operations on the ultrasonic signals, such as detection processing and logarithmic compression. The ultrasonic signal processing unit 132 visualizes the amplitude information of the ultrasonic signals and generates signal processing data (raster data). The ultrasonic signals output from the ultrasonic transmission / reception unit 130 are subjected to bandpass filtering, and then the envelope of the output signal is detected. The detected data is then compressed using logarithmic transformation. The ultrasonic signal processing unit 132 outputs the signal processing data after signal processing to the ultrasonic image generation unit 134.

[0086] The ultrasound image generation unit 134 generates an ultrasound image using the signal-processed data signal-processed by the ultrasound signal processing unit 132. The ultrasound image generation unit 134 has a digital scan converter and converts the signal-processed data into data represented in Cartesian coordinates. Here, the ultrasound image generation unit 134 orthogonally transforms the signal-processed data (raster data) into a coordinate system (X, Y) of image data for display. The ultrasound image generation unit 134 then generates an ultrasound image (B-mode image data) in which signal intensity is expressed by luminance brightness. In this manner, the ultrasound image generation unit 134 generates an ultrasound image. As an ultrasound image generation algorithm, not only delay-and-sum processing but also any algorithm can be applied to perform image reconstruction.

[0087] <Radiation Examination> Figure 8 is a diagram illustrating an example of a radiological examination using the mobile examination device according to this embodiment. A subject P lies on a bed, and the mobile examination device is installed next to the subject. An operator (not shown) is away from the bed to avoid exposure to radiation from the radiation irradiation unit 22. The support column 16 moves upward, and the main arm 18 is unfolded so that it is approximately perpendicular to the support column 16. The main arm 18 is extended so that the radiation irradiation unit 22 protrudes. In this way, during a radiological examination, the operator can easily install the radiation irradiation unit 22 by unfolding the support column 16 and the main arm 18, without having to attach the radiation irradiation unit 22 to a separate holder installed above the subject.

[0088] The radiation irradiator 22 is installed above the subject P, and the radiation detector 24 is installed below the subject P. When the main arm 18 is unfolded, the control unit displays an image captured by the first camera 40a provided near the radiation irradiator 22 and an application required for the radiological examination on the touch panel 28b. While viewing the touch panel 28b, the operator adjusts the radiation irradiator 22 so that it is positioned above the examination area of the subject P, and the radiation detector 24 so that it is positioned below the examination area of the subject P. In this way, the operator can view the image captured from above the subject P and easily align the radiation irradiator and the radiation detector. Furthermore, since the first camera 40a captures the subject P from above, vital signs information can be obtained from the subject's facial pulse wave, etc. The operator can check the vital signs information without using a separate device.

[0089] <Ultrasound Examination> FIG. 9 is a diagram illustrating an example of an ultrasound examination performed by the mobile examination device according to this embodiment. A subject P lies on a bed, and the mobile examination device is installed next to the subject. An operator U sits in a chair next to the bed and performs an ultrasound examination on the subject P using the ultrasound probe 30. The support column 16 is moved upward to allow the second camera 40b to easily capture images of the subject P, and the sub-arm 26 is positioned at a height that allows the operator U to easily operate the touch panel 28b. When the ultrasound probe 30 is removed, the control unit displays an image captured by the second camera 40b provided at the upper end of the main arm 18 and an application required for the ultrasound examination on the touch panel 28b. In this way, during an ultrasound examination, the operator can maintain a natural posture while viewing the captured image of the subject and ultrasound images displayed on the touch panel.

[0090] In addition, the second camera 40b takes an image from above the subject P, and vital information can be obtained from the subject's facial pulse wave, etc. The operator can check the vital information without using a separate device.

[0091] When the operator finishes the radiological examination or ultrasound examination, he or she stores the radiation irradiation unit, radiation detector, ultrasound probe, and panel unit in the housing 10. After carrying the housing 10 from the subject's home to a location outdoors, the moving unit 12 is attached to the bottom of the housing 10 and the housing 10 is transported as shown in FIG.

[0092] As described above, the mobile inspection device of the present invention has excellent storage capacity for the components required for inspection, and is therefore easier to handle when transported.

[0093] 10 is a flowchart showing the operation of the mobile inspection device according to this embodiment when it is installed, showing the operation when an operator installs the mobile inspection device next to a subject and performs a radiological or ultrasonic inspection.

[0094] In S200, the detection unit 110 determines whether or not the ultrasound probe 30 has been removed from the panel unit 28. If it is determined that the ultrasound probe 30 has not been removed, the process proceeds to S206. If it is determined that the ultrasound probe 30 has been removed, the process proceeds to S202.

[0095] In step S202, the control unit 112 starts an application required for the ultrasound examination and displays the application on the touch panel 28b. That is, when the detection unit 110 detects that the ultrasound probe 30 has been removed from the panel unit 28, the application required for the ultrasound examination is started and the application is displayed on the touch panel 28b.

[0096] In step S204, the control unit 112 starts capturing images with the second camera 40b and displays the captured images and vital sign information on the touch panel 28b. At this time, the ultrasound examination application and the captured images and vital sign information of the second camera 40b may be displayed side by side or vertically on the touch panel 28b, or may be displayed superimposed on each other so that the operator can select one of them.

[0097] In this way, by launching the application and starting the camera at the same time as removing the ultrasound probe from the panel unit, the operator can save time and effort and the examination can begin without making the subject wait.

[0098] In S206, the detection unit 110 determines whether the main arm 18 has been deployed. If it is determined that the main arm 18 has not been deployed, the process proceeds to S212. If it is determined that the main arm 18 has been deployed, the process proceeds to S208. Note that if the ultrasound examination application and the second camera 40b are running when proceeding to S208, they are terminated.

[0099] In step S208, the control unit 112 starts an application necessary for the radiological examination and displays the application on the touch panel 28 b. That is, when the detection unit 110 determines that the main arm 18 has been deployed, the application necessary for the radiological examination is started and the application is displayed on the touch panel 28 b.

[0100] In step S210, the control unit 112 starts capturing images with the first camera 40a and displays the captured image on the touch panel 28b. At this time, the radiological examination application and the captured image with the first camera 40a may be displayed side by side on the touch panel 28b, either horizontally or vertically, or may be displayed superimposed on each other so that the operator can select one.

[0101] In this way, by launching an application or starting camera photography at the same time as deploying the main arm 18, the operator can save time and effort, and the radiation irradiation unit 22 and radiation detector 24 can be positioned and the radiation examination can begin without making the subject wait.

[0102] In step S212, it is determined whether the operator's operation has ended. For example, an end button is displayed on the touch panel 28b, and it is determined that the operation has ended when the operator touches the end button. If it is determined that the operation has ended, the currently running ultrasound examination application and second camera 40b, or the currently running radiological examination application and first camera 40a, are terminated. If it is determined that the operation has not ended, the process proceeds to step S200.

[0103] According to this embodiment, the radiation irradiation unit 22 includes a first camera 40a that captures an image of the subject, a detection unit 100 that detects that the first arm (main arm 18) has been rotated or extended, and a control unit 112 that starts imaging with the first camera 40a or starts an application required for the radiological examination when the detection unit 100 detects that the first arm has been rotated or extended.

[0104] The first arm (main arm 18) is equipped with a second camera 400 that captures an image of the subject. The first arm is equipped with a detection unit 110 that detects that the ultrasound probe 30 has been removed from the panel unit 28, and a control unit 112 that starts capturing images with the second camera 20b or starts an application required for ultrasound examination when the detection unit 110 detects that the ultrasound probe 30 has been removed from the panel unit 28.
