AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

PFC deadlock refers to the problem of permanent data blocking when multiple network devices control traffic through PFC messages in the network loop, forming a loop that causes each device to suspend traffic transmission, causing permanent data blockage, seriously affecting network throughput and bringing systemic risks.

Method used

By receiving the PFC messages sent by downstream network devices, cache the source MAC address, and triggering the PFC message sending mechanism locally, based on the preset MAC address selection rule, the most matching one from the local MAC address and the cached MAC address is selected as the new source MAC address, and sending PFC messages to the upstream network devices, thereby avoiding permanent blockage of devices in the loop.

Benefits of technology

It effectively avoids the occurrence of PFC deadlocks, ensures the continuous transmission of network traffic, prevents all devices in the loop from suspending sending data, and improves the stability and throughput capabilities of the network.

Abstract

Provided in the present application are a PFC message processing method, an electronic device and a storage medium. The method comprises: receiving a first PFC message sent by a downstream network device; when a local MAC address is consistent with a source MAC address of the first PFC message, discarding the first PFC message; when the local MAC address is not consistent with the source MAC address of the first PFC message, caching the source MAC address of the first PFC message; and when a sending mechanism of the PFC message is locally triggered, selecting the most matched one of the local MAC address and the cached MAC address as the source MAC address of a second PFC message on the basis of a preset MAC address selection rule, and sending the second PFC message to an upstream network device.
