Abstract
Description
Model toy support
[0001] The present invention relates to a support for a model toy.
[0002] Model toys such as doll bodies include various joints and movable parts, which allow them to realize a variety of movements and poses. On the other hand, there is a demand for the pedestal on which the model toy is fixed to also be able to realize a variety of movements and poses. Patent Document 1 proposes a configuration in which a toy body is connected to a stand by a support member connected to the waist of the toy body.
[0003] Utility Model Registration No. 3199903
[0004] In the above-mentioned prior art, a support is used to connect the model toy to a stand (base). However, since the support member included in the support is a member unrelated to the model toy, it is desirable that it be as inconspicuous as possible so as not to affect the appearance of the model toy. Therefore, it is preferable that the support member be formed as thin as possible. On the other hand, if the width of the support member is formed to be small, its ability to support the model toy is reduced, and it becomes impossible to support a larger model toy.
[0005] The present invention provides, for example, a novel mechanism for a support that attaches a model toy to a base.
[0006] The present invention is characterized in that, for example, a support for a model toy comprises a first part having a recess formed therein and a first connecting portion, and a second part having a second connecting portion rotatably connected to the first connecting portion, the first part and the second part rotate around the first connecting portion and the second connecting portion as a rotation axis, and as the second part rotates around the rotation axis, a portion of the second part is fitted into the recess formed in the first part to form a support member of the support.
[0007] According to the present invention, for example, a novel mechanism for a support for attaching a model toy to a base can be provided.

[0009] Hereinafter, the embodiments will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. Note that the following embodiments do not limit the scope of the invention as claimed, and not all combinations of features described in the embodiments are necessarily essential to the invention. Two or more of the features described in the embodiments may be arbitrarily combined. Furthermore, the same reference numerals are used for the same or similar components, and redundant explanations will be omitted.
[0010] <Appearance of Support> An example of the appearance of the support that supports the model toy according to this embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 1. Fig. 1 shows a perspective view of the appearance of the support 100. Note that the arrows indicating up / down, left / right, and front / back indicate the orientation of the model toy in the drawing, and this also applies to the other drawings.
[0011] The support 100 is a display stand, also known as an Action Base (registered trademark), for displaying a model toy in any pose. The support 100 is composed of support members 101 and 102, connection portions 103, 104, and 105, and a base 106. The support members 101 and 102 are supports extending from the base 106 to the connection portions of the model toy. Specifically, the support member 102 is connected to the base 106, and the support member 102 is further connected to the support member 101. The support member 102 is rotatably connected to the connection portion 105 of the base 106, and the support members 101 and 102 are further rotatably connected to each other. In this way, the support 100 according to this embodiment has multiple support members, including at least a first support member and a second support member, rotatably connected to each other, thereby being able to support the model toy in various positions and enabling a variety of poses of the model toy on the base.
[0012] As shown in FIG. 1 , one end of the support member 101 is connected to a support member 102, and the other end is rotatably connected to a connection part 103. The connection part 103 is connected to the model toy. Furthermore, the connection part 104 is connected to the connection part between the support members 101 and 102. The connection part 104 has two arms, which support the model toy by sandwiching it between them. This improves the ability of the support body 100 to support the model toy. Note that the connection part 104 is not an essential component of the present invention and can be applied as an option.
[0013] <Configuration of Support Body> An example configuration of the support body 100 according to this embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 2. Fig. 2 shows an exploded perspective view of the support body 100. Note that parts that have not been disassembled from the parts shown in Fig. 1 are given the same reference numerals, and descriptions thereof will be omitted.
[0014] The support 100 according to this embodiment is configured to include parts 201 to 206 in addition to connecting portions 103 and 104 and a base 106. Parts 201 and 202 configure the support member 101, which is a first support member. Parts 203 and 204 configure the support member 102, which is a second support member. In this manner, the support members 101 and 102 are each configured with two parts, and when the two parts are combined, they have a ring-shaped connecting portion at one end and a connecting portion at the other end to another support member or the connecting portion 103. For example, a ring-shaped connecting portion is formed at one end of the support member 101, and the parts 203 and 204 are rotatably connected so as to sandwich the connecting portion. A detailed assembly configuration of the support members 101 and 102 will be described later.
[0015] Parts 205 and 206 are connected to sandwich the ring-shaped connecting portion of support member 102, which is formed by combining parts 203 and 204, to form connection part 105. Connection part 105 is connected to base 106 by inserting a cylindrical portion formed at the bottom into a hole in base 106. Therefore, connection part 105 is rotatable with respect to base 106.
[0016] Each part may be made of a transparent material, which makes it possible to prevent the support 100 from standing out when the model toy is displayed on the support 100, thereby reducing the impact on the appearance of the model toy.
[0017] <Parts Configuration of Support Member> The parts configuration of the support member according to this embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 3. Fig. 3(a) shows part 201, and Fig. 3(b) shows part 202. Note that parts 203 and 204 that make up the support member 102 have the same configuration as parts 201 and 202, respectively, and therefore description thereof will be omitted.
[0018] The part 201 is formed to include a support portion 310 and connecting portions 311 and 315. The support portion 310 is formed with receiving portions 312 and 314 and a recess 313. The part 202 is formed to include a support portion 320 and connecting portions 321 and 325. The support portion 320 is formed with insertion portions 322 and 324. The support portions 310 and 320 form the arm portions of the support member 101. By forming the support portions 310 and 320 wider, the support function of the support body 100 for supporting the model toy can be improved. In other words, larger model toys can be supported. On the other hand, if the support portions 310 and 320 are formed too wide, the appearance of the model toy will be affected when the model toy is displayed on the support body. Therefore, in this embodiment, two parts are combined to form one support member in order to provide a stronger support member without affecting the appearance of the model toy.
[0019] Specifically, parts 201 and 202 are combined by fitting support part 320 of part 202 into recess 313 formed in support part 310 of part 201. This allows the support part of support member 101 to be made up of two parts, which can increase strength compared to when it is made up of one part. Therefore, it is possible to form the width of support parts 310, 320 smaller than when it is made up of one part.
[0020] Furthermore, in order to prevent the parts 201, 202 from coming apart after being assembled, the support parts 310, 320 are formed with receiving parts 312, 314 and inserting parts 322, 324 that are inserted into the receiving parts. As shown in Fig. 3, the receiving parts 312, 314 and the corresponding inserting parts 322, 324 are formed at both longitudinal ends of the support parts 310, 320. By providing mating points at both ends in this way, the mating strength of the two parts can be efficiently improved by mating them at fewer points, and it is easy to prevent the two parts from coming apart.
[0021] Various connecting portions are formed on parts 201 and 202. Connecting portions 311 and 321 are examples of a first connecting portion and a second connecting portion, respectively, and are formed at one longitudinal end of parts 201 and 202. Connecting portion 311 is formed in a cylindrical shape, and connecting portion 321 is formed in a cylindrical shape with a recess formed therein. The cylindrical portion of connecting portion 311 is inserted into the recess, thereby connecting parts 201 and 202 to each other so that they can rotate. Connecting portions 315 and 325 are formed in a ring shape at the other longitudinal end of parts 201 and 202, respectively. When parts 201 and 202 are combined, connecting portions 315 and 325 overlap to form a single ring-shaped connecting portion.
[0022] <Assembly Configuration of Support Member> The assembly configuration of the support member according to this embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 4. Fig. 4(a) and Fig. 4(b) are side views sequentially illustrating the assembly procedure of the support member 101 and the connection portion 103. The support member 101 according to this embodiment is configured to include parts 201 and 202, but because the connection portion 103 is also connected, the assembly procedure of the connection portion 103 will also be described.
[0023] First, as shown in Fig. 4(a), the connecting portion 103 is connected to the connecting portion 321 of the part 202. Specifically, the ring-shaped portion of the connecting portion 103 is rotatably connected so as to cover the outer periphery of the cylindrical shape of the connecting portion 321. Next, as shown in Fig. 4(b), the cylindrical portion of the connecting portion 311 of the part 201 is inserted into the cylindrical recess formed in the connecting portion 321 of the part 202. As a result, the parts 201, 202, and the connecting portion 103 are rotatably connected to each other.
[0024] Next, as shown in FIG. 4( c), the connected part 201 is rotated in the direction of the arrow. This rotation is continued until the support portion 320 of the part 202 fits into the recess 313 formed in the part 201. The state after the full rotation is shown in FIG. 4( d). In this way, the part 202 fits inside the part 201, and the parts 201 and 202 are integrated, completing the assembly of the support member 101 and the connecting portion 103. As described above, according to this embodiment, the parts 201 and 202 can be easily assembled by utilizing the rotational movement of the connecting portions 311 and 321. Furthermore, the connecting portion 103 can also be rotatably connected by utilizing the shape of the connecting portions 311 and 321, making it possible to realize a movable axis using fewer parts.
[0025] <Cross-sectional Configuration> The cross-sectional configuration of the support member 101 according to this embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 5. The cross section shown in Fig. 5 is taken along line xx' in Fig. 4(d) and viewed from the direction of the arrow.
[0026] As shown in FIG. 5 , the cross section of part 201 is U-shaped and includes a recess 313 therein. Furthermore, part 202 is housed in recess 313, and the cross section of part 202 is I-shaped. Thus, according to this embodiment, by combining two parts to form a support member, even when the width is small, strength can be improved compared to when a single part is formed into a cylindrical shape. Note that when forming a support member from a single part, the width must be large. However, achieving a cylindrical shape from a single part is limited by molding limitations, making it more difficult to form a large width. Furthermore, increasing the width of the support member is undesirable because it adversely affects the appearance of the model toy when it is displayed on the support. On the other hand, by combining two parts, the support member 101 according to this embodiment can be formed into a small width while maintaining strength compared to when formed from a single part.
[0027] <Insertion Portion Mechanism> The insertion portion mechanism of the support member according to this embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 6. As described above, the support member 101 according to this embodiment is configured by combining two parts. As described with reference to Fig. 4, when assembling the parts, the parts 201 and 202 are rotated around the connecting portions 311 and 321 as the rotation axis, and the part 202 is assembled so that it fits into the recess 313 of the part 201. Furthermore, as described with reference to Fig. 3, the support portions 310 and 320 are formed with receiving portions 312 and 314 and corresponding insertion portions 322 and 324 to prevent the parts 201 and 202 from coming apart after being assembled.
[0028] In this way, in the support member 101 according to this embodiment, the two parts are combined by rotating them around the rotation axis, and are fitted together using the insertion portions, etc. However, because the two parts are combined by a rotational movement, there is a problem that fitting is difficult if the receiving portions 312, 314 and the insertion portions 322, 324 are formed horizontally in the drawing.
[0029] Therefore, in this embodiment, taking into consideration the combination of the two parts by the rotational movement, the insertion portions 322 and 324 are formed in an arched shape with a predetermined curvature, as shown in FIG. 6 . Furthermore, the receiving portions 312 and 314 are formed to correspond to the shapes of the insertion portions 322 and 324. FIG. 6 shows an enlarged view of the dotted line area of the support member 101. The receiving portion 312 and the insertion portion 322 formed closer to the rotation axis are formed with a large curvature, while the receiving portion 314 and the insertion portion 324 formed farther from the rotation axis are formed with a small curvature. This allows the parts 201 and 202 to be combined smoothly. Another advantage is that each part can be easily released from the mold when being molded. In other words, according to this embodiment, the curvature of the arch is designed to vary depending on the position of the insertion portion and the receiving portion.
[0030] <Rotation Range of Support> The rotation range of the support according to this embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 7. Fig. 7(a) shows a state in which the support member 101 is rotated forward (first direction) relative to the support member 102. Fig. 7(b) shows a state in which the support member 101 is rotated backward (second direction opposite to the first direction) relative to the support member 102.
[0031] As shown in Fig. 4(d) 701, a notch is formed in the part 201 that constitutes the support member 101. As shown in Fig. 7(b) , the notch 701 is formed such that the shaded portion is thinner than the other portions. Although not shown, a similar notch is also formed on the back side of the notch 701. Furthermore, as shown in Fig. 7(a) , a hollow area indicated by a dotted line 702 is formed in the support member 102.
[0032] Therefore, as shown in Figure 7(a), when the support member 101 is rotated in the forward direction, it can rotate up to a position where the notch 701 fits into the hollow region 702. On the other hand, when the support member 101 is rotated in the backward direction, which is the opposite direction to the forward direction, as shown in Figure 7(b), the notch 701 and hollow region 702 are not formed, so the parts 201 and 202 collide at the position shown in 703, and the rotation stops. Therefore, the maximum rotation range in the rotation direction in Figure 7(b) is smaller than the maximum rotation range in the rotation direction in Figure 7(a).
[0033] As described above, the support member (first support member) 101 according to this embodiment is rotatable in a first direction and a second direction opposite to the first direction relative to the support member (second support member) 102, and is characterized by having different maximum rotational amplitudes when rotating in each direction. This allows the support member to operate in different rotational amplitudes, and the rotational amplitude can be selected according to the model toy to which it is connected and its pose.
[0034] As described above, the support for the model toy according to this embodiment includes a first part having a recess and a first connecting portion, and a second part having a second connecting portion rotatably connected to the first connecting portion. The first and second parts rotate around the first and second connecting portions as rotational axes, and as the second part rotates around the rotational axis, a portion of the second part fits into the recess formed in the first part, forming the support member of the support. In this way, the support member that serves as the arm of this support is constructed by combining two parts. This allows the width of each part that constitutes the support member to be reduced without reducing the support member's ability to support the model toy. Furthermore, designing the part width to be small facilitates molding. Therefore, this embodiment provides a novel mechanism for a support for attaching a model toy to a base.
[0035] <Modifications> The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various modifications and variations are possible within the scope of the gist of the invention. For example, in the above-described embodiment, the connecting portion 103 is described as being rotatably connected to the support member 101. Specifically, it is described as having a ring-shaped portion that is connected to the connecting portion 321 of the part 202. While this shape allows for free rotation, a stopper function that stops the rotation may be provided to increase the strength of the support for the model toy.
[0036] A modified example of the connection portion 103 having a stopper function will be described with reference to Figure 8. Figure 8 shows an enlarged view of a dotted line area 800 of the support member 101. In this modification, a connection portion 801 is used instead of the connection portion 103 in the above embodiment. As shown in the enlarged view, the connection portion 801 has a plurality of protrusions 811 on the outer periphery of the ring-shaped portion, and is formed in a gear-like shape. In addition, a stopper 802 is rotatably attached inside the support member 101.
[0037] The stopper 802 includes an insertion portion 821 and a cylindrical connecting portion 822. The insertion portion 821 can stop the rotation of the connection portion 801 by being inserted between the protrusions of the multiple protrusions 811. Furthermore, the cylindrical connecting portion 822 rotatably connects the stopper 802 by being inserted into a recess formed in the support member 101. Therefore, the stopper 802 can rotate relative to the support member 101 with the connecting portion 822 as the rotation axis.
[0038] In the state of the dotted line area 800 shown in Figure 8, the insertion portion 821 of the stopper 802 is inserted between the multiple protrusions 811 of the connecting portion 801, and the connecting portion 801 is fixed and unable to rotate. In this state, the connecting portion 801 is fixed and unable to rotate, thereby increasing the strength to support the model toy. On the other hand, the dotted line area 810 shows the state in which the stopper 802 is rotated in the direction of the arrow from the state of the dotted line area 800, and the insertion portion 821 is removed from between the protrusions. This releases the stopper function, and the connecting portion 801 becomes rotatable.
