Description

A WATER ASSISTED DISPLACEMENT DEVICE FOR DISPENSING PRECISE ANDMICRO VOLUME OF FRAGRANCE OIL DROPLETSFIELD OF INVENTION

[0001] The invention generally relates to the field of fragrance diffusers or devices for dispensing fragrance oil into the surrounding environment. The invention more precisely relates to a water assisted displacement device for dispensing precise and micro volume of fragrance oil droplets.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] Modern households generate a variety of odors that may be unpleasant to those living in the home, including odors emanating from trash cans, bathrooms, or pets living in the home. Thus, many consumers use products to neutralize unpleasant odors and / or fragrances with pleasing scents to mask unpleasant odors generated in the home.

[0003] For example, household sprays are disposed when a consumer sprays fragrance from a pressurized container while walking around the home. A heat source could also be used to disperse a fragrance. These methods are inconvenient for the user because the fragrance must be manually released from its container, and heat sources must be activated. Further, these items present dangers to consumers, as high-pressure spray containers may explode if punctured, and many heat sources are a fire hazard.

[0004] Thus, manufacturers developed automatic fragrance dispensers that operate without user intervention and without using heat. These dispensers can be placed throughout the home to ensure that the fragrances contained within are evenly distributed throughout the home. Some of the automatic dispensers may even incorporate a timer or a smart chip to release fragrance at predetermined time intervals. Many of these smart dispensers accept refdl bottles to reduce the diffuser's environmental impact and lower costs for consumers.

[0005] However, the automatic smart diffusers present new issues for consumers. Many such smart diffusers accept refill bottles through a port in the bottom of the diffuser. Users must therefore insert a refill bottle into the device using an upward motion, causing the user toinsert the refill bottle blindly, or hold the entire diffuser above the user's head. Inserting the refdl bottle into the diffuser in this manner leads to two major problems.

[0006] First, when inserting the refill bottle blindly, a user cannot see if the refdl bottle aligns with the receptor designed to accept the refill bottle, leading to frustration as the user may be required to make many attempts to align the refdl bottle properly. Second, the user cannot see if the refill has been fully and properly inserted into the diffuser. If the refdl bottle is not fully inserted into the diffuser, the diffuser may be disabled or unable to emit a full spray of fragrance. Also, if the user applies too much force when inserting the refill bottle and wedges the bottle into the diffuser, removal of the refill bottle can become quite difficult. Attempting to insert the bottle above the user's head is generally awkward and uncomfortable.

[0007] Further, fragrances and perfumes contain molecules that diffuse via vaporization and activate one or more olfactory receptors in a user's nasal cavity. Often the level of fragrance needed in a product to achieve the desired response is relatively low. This is particularly true for a fragrance that has a high vapor pressure at room temperature and atmospheric pressure, and that has a high odor activity.

[0008] Further, the use of aerosol sprays are flammable and should be kept and used with caution, posing a fire hazard if not handled properly. Aerosol sprays are actuated by geared actuators. Geared actuators are mechanical, unreliable; make noise and releases forcefully volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and propellants into the air, contributing to affect the air quality. Some of the aerosol sprays have a propellants, like hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), are potent greenhouse gases that can contribute to climate change. Inhalation of aerosol particles and VOCs can lead to respiratory issues, especially in individuals with asthma or allergies. Some room fresheners contain chemicals that may irritate the throat, eyes, or skin. It is not possible to know the residual fragrance available in the aerosol container.

[0009] Further, aerosol sprays typically offer limited control over the intensity and duration of the fragrance release, which may not suit everyone's preferences. The disposal of empty aerosol cans has a negative impact on the environment. Improper disposal can aggravate this issue and lead to environmental pollution. Moreover, these cans can become fire hazards when residual flammable liquids are left inside, potentially causing accidents and harm to both people and the environment.

[0010] In light of the discussion above, there is a need for an effective device or fragrance diffusers for dispensing fragrance oil into the surrounding environment.OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

[0011] With reference to the above background explanation, the present invention of a water assisted displacement device for dispensing precise and micro volume of fragrance oil droplets has following objectives to solve the limitations of the conventional systems.

[0012] The principal object of the present invention is that the utilization of a water-assisted displacement mechanism. The device displaces a dense liquid, typically water, from a nearby container. There is a purposefully placed sponge element within the device structure that serves as a reservoir.

[0013] Another object of the present invention is that the claimed device dispenses precise and micro volumes of fragrance oil droplets into the surrounding environment and it operates efficiently with minimal power consumption and avoids direct interaction with the fragrance oil itself.

[0014] Another object of the present invention is that the claimed water-assisted displacement device represents an energy-efficient solution for dispensing precise micro volumes of fragrance oil droplets. Also, it offers a controlled and subtle release of fragrance, enhancing the overall ambiance without the need for direct exposure of the fragrance oil to the environment.

[0015] Another object of the present invention is that the claimed device permits the fragrance oil to slowly and continuously diffuse into the surrounding air. This controlled and indirect dispersion method ensures that the fragrance is released gradually and uniformly, providing a consistent and pleasant experience without overwhelming the environment.SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
